so i literally had to show your my request to my irl friend who also likes newsies in order to choose your newsies bf because you literally could of had so many of them. but the minute she mentioned albert it dawned on me. like he would literally be so perfect for you.

i’m obsessed with the “she fell first but he fell harder” trope and i cannot explain it but i just know it’d be how your relationship would develop. i think you’d probably be working in a bakery and come rain or shine he’d always be outside hawking his newspapers so naturally you start to develop a little crush on him. nothing serious you just think he’s cute that’s all.

but that all changes on one day when it’s bitterly cold and you see him outside shivering, his pretty cheeks flushed from the cold and even his voice as he hollers out lacks it’s normal confident charamisa. because of the weather your business is slow too so you are sure your mother won’t mind if you hand out one simple steaming hot bagel fresh from the oven just to warm him up. and when he sees you he’s drawling out in that thick manhattan accent of his “you’re real sweet miss but i couldn’t take that from you” though he’s eyeing the bagel hungrily and you know full well he survives on a diet of very little so you shake your head and gently force it into his hand. your fingers brushing as you do, making your face smile shyly at him your cheeks turning pink and are you imaging it or his cold cheeks suddenly more red then they were a minute ago? but then your disappointment your mother calls you in before you can say anything else and the moment’s over. :(

the next time you see him out there you’re a bit more confident. the sun’s shining and though your palms are sweating from nerves you smile brightly at him and pass him another bagel this time filled with cream cheese and wrapped in brown parchment as maybe you prepared it with the hope that he’d come back not that you’d ever admit that. either way it’s worth it because his whole face lights up as he takes it and he calls you “his angel”. not just “an” angel but “his” which sends an immediate excited stream of butterflies in your tummy that you do your best to repress.

and after he’s long left and you’re packing up shop he returns with a beautiful posy of little flowers as a gift for you. he tells you that he can’t afford to pay you for the food but he hopes to repay you in pretty trinkets and items that he finds on his walks. you of course insist that he doesn’t have to but he tells you that it’s the least he can do - that he only wishes he could bring you more expensive things. this quickly becomes your pattern - you bring him treats, strawberry tarts, lavender cream puffs and lemon meringues, various sweet experiments that you’ve tested and he in turn gifts posies of flowers, pretty ribbons and shiny pebbles. you teasingly call him a magpie and he just retorts with calling you his angel again.

albert is easy to love - he’s kind and charming and funny and a bit of troublmaker so it doesn’t surprise you when you realise that silly little crush has blossomed into a deep rooted affection for him. it hurts though, feeling so deeply for him and convinced he doesn’t feel the same, hurts so much that sometimes you think it would be better to push him away but you know you couldn’t one glance at that lopsided grin and you’re stuck like glue. so you suppose it’ll be this way forever, this endless dance of hopeless adoration - you can live with that you tell yourself. it pains you but you can live with that. if only you knew it hurts him even more.

he tells you when the two of you are out at coney island, the two of you had saved up your wages, you had packed lunches, he had paid for the train tickets - just like a real couple would of done. and you spend the day eating so much candy floss that you feel queasy, childish laughter spilling from your lips on daring rides and eagerly trying to beat each other in western themed shooting games. it’s so close to be a perfect day and honestly you feel horribly selfish for wanting more. you ought to be satisfied but oh god you’re not.

it’s dark when he tells you, the two of you sat in the compact third class carriage of the train, not the most romantic setting but you hardly mind. nor particularly do you mind the undignified way that he tells you, there’s no fancy words or flowery gestures, just good honest affection when he turns to you and quietly asks “you don’t know i love you do you neige?” tearfully you shake your head. you can’t manage anything more and matter of factly he says “well i do. i ain’t never loved anybody in my whole life the way i love you. won’t you be my girl, angel?” and god you’re a mess after that. sobbing as you feverishly nod and he’s gently kissing your tears away before kissing you softly on the lips. and the rest as they say is history.

ok i actually think it’s not that different from when your friends because both of you were just friends with repressed feelings anyways so like it’s a very similar vibe as how you two got together just now you have the added bonus of being able to kiss or hug each other whenever you want.

he loves watching you bake, not in a creepy way he just thinks you look so cute when your eyebrows furrow and your lips part in concentration - god how he loves you. tried to do it with you once but the pair of you just ended up covered in flour and the cookies got burn so it’s better for you to bake and him to watch. sometimes as you wait for the desserts to cool, he’ll slow dance with you to sweet love songs on the gramophone.

he also knows how to braid your hair. this is because i feel that he taught himself how so that originally he could look after the little girl newsies but now he has you he uses them to learn complex braids and then does them on you which of course you adore.

i feel like albert, because he grew up with only brothers and his father, he’s incredibly touchstarved so he’s constantly lavishing you with physical affection but the minute you give him any he’s absolutely melting at your touch it’s so sweet.:( the first time you kiss him i bet he literally tears up a little bit.

he’s soo nervous for you to meet the other newsies at first as he’s convinced when you do they’ll tell you all the stupid things he’s done in the past and you won’t wanna be with him anymore but actually it’s the opposite. of course racetrack regales you with a few embarrassing stories but mainly they just tell you how happy they are that you walked into albert’s life they also want to know if you’ll bake them anything as they’ve heard a lot about your baking.

also don’t worry the little gifts that he used to bring you don’t stop it’s just that now their more clearly romantic like oh it’s not just a pretty stone- it’s now a pretty stone thats heart shaped because you’re his heart or something sweet like that.

and now his wages are going towards saving up to buy an apartment for the two of you. he hopes that one day the pair of you can live together with the laughter of children, smells of sweet treats and filled to the very brim with love. whenever he’s feeling down working on his feet all day he just has to remind himself of this and then he’s fine. all he has to find now is a ring!

wait but honestly some of us have met and hugged frank irl and he’s legit barely taller than me and i’m 5’4” 🫣

yeah and some people are 5'6 and have taken photographs with him where he looks taller than them...like the only accurate way of knowing is with a wall and a measuring tape lol, it's not something you can rly eyeball. but mainly i just find it a bit off-putting that people care so much about it...sometimes it rly feels like ppl want him to be especially short bc they think it Means something about him which is just uncomfortable all round to me.

Are you named after anyone? - No, my irl name was chosen out of a baby names book. As for Nobody, that was just what I chose because I didn’t think i’d be keeping this blog for long, and @sophieswundergarten eventually called me “Bods” so that is my name now.

When was the last time you cried? Not sure. Maybe a few weeks or months ago? I’ll be honest my memory is not that great.

Do you have any kids? Not yet, maybe in the next 4-10 years.

Do you use sarcasm a lot? Depends on who I’m with. If it’s someone I’m close with then yes.

What's the first you notice about people? - Hm. Interesting question. I don’t really notice people’s outfits, or people in general, I’ll just be honest, but if they express an interest that is similar to mine, they’ll instantly have my attention.

Scary movies or happy endings? - happy endings. But when writing myself I prefer angst because I’m a hypocrite. Or maybe I just like my happy endings to be earned first. Who knows?

Welcome to newsie’s big king rant!! *cracks knuckles* i apologise for spelling mistakes or grammar innacuracies

i’ll start with AKB but i’ll do it in three parts ranging how much knowledge i have on the subject

andrew keenan bolger was born on the 16th may 1985 in detroit. he has 2 older sisters, maggie and celia ( who won a tony award for “to kill a mockingbird”!) he’s married to scott bixby since 2018 and their relationship is so nice and wholesome it’s so cute.

HES 5’4. IM 5’5. it’s so funny to think he’s shorter than me but whatever 😭😭

his first broadway role was in the OBC of seussical as alternate Jojo in 2000-2001 of which he did ONE broadway show then got kicked coz he hit puberty LMFAO poor 15 year old andrew

he then went on to be robertson ay in mary poppins THEN went in a woekshop for newsies and papermill and broadway( fun fact i think he’s the only actor who stayed in the same role for the workshop, papermill then obc of newsies )

during newsies he got a lot of fans which honestly yeah real but in march 2013 he left newsies to begin rehersing for tuck everlasting which didn’t make it until 2016 bc there wasn’t a suitable theatre for a transfer to broadway yet ( another fun fact if it had stayed in the realm of 2013 sadie sink would have played winnie instead of sarah charles lewis )

then in 2017 he was in kris kringle the musical playing kris kringle and in 2021 he was in seven deadly sins the off broadway musical playing phillipe

in september ( not sure if going ahead due to sag aftra ) he’s gonna star in “dracula a comedy of terrors” which seems very fun!! he posted a rlly funny photo of him wearing vampire teeth

ok other things than theatre he’s done i’m so sorry gang

so in 1997 he was chip’s singing voice in that lovely enchanted christmas beauty and the beast spinoff which i watched ALL OF IT just to find he’s in ONE FUCKING SONG and he’s only in the credits ONCE

( however tim curry is in it and he’s a fat smash so 🤷🏻‍♀️ )

he was in this show called looking in 2014 don’t watch it if ur under 18 i’m fucking traumatised from it don’t curse yourself with that PLEASE GOD DONT SEARCH ANDREW KEENAN ON GIFS EITHER

also the note about his lack of dancing skills reminded me of his old youtube videos and one video he was talking about an audition he botched (there was basketball choreo he was supposed to learn) and instead, because he didn't know what to do, he just put the basketball in his shirt and pretended to be pregnant??? hey directors like a strong acting choice and he delivered.

1 week irl is a month in rp

I’m 22 year old girl with long black 4b hair with umber skin tone and dark brown eyes also I’m 5’4. I work as a surrogate not only for humans but for many other species and I recently decided to document my pregnancies!! hello hello! Thank you so much to @theres-a-bea and @surely-galena for tagging me in this, I thought I’d just post instead of reblogging because the original’s a bit long, but anyway here’s a bit about me!

1. are you named after anyone? nope! my parents admit they just liked the name they chose for me :)

2. when was the last time you cried? maybe a week ago? I’m not the easiest crier irl, but for some reason books manage to hit the spot.

3. do you have kids? none :)

4. do you use sarcasm a lot? not unless it’s super over the top, since I know how it can make people feel upset or confused depending on the situation

5. what sports do you play/have you played? nothing at the moment, but I used to play basketball years ago (still my favorite)

6. first thing you notice about people? honestly, if I’m near them, probably their volume. I pick up pretty quick if someone speaks more softly or loudly than average.

7. eye color? haaazel

8. scary movies or happy endings? I love scary things, but I think happy endings get me more. when people end it happy it makes me want to scream (in the best way) :’)

9. any special talents? I am very good at memorizing things—numbers, names, dates, I even used to memorize entire short stories before our reading comprehension tests when I was like 6. I also seem to have incredible luck (●’◡’●)

10. where were you born? a few streets away!

11. what are your hobbies? I love collecting hobbies, so it’s a pretty long list. Right now, I’ve been mainly reading, playing a bunch of video games, knitting, and browsing Wikipedia.

12. do you have any pets? I do, I have a bunny and a fish. My bunny is an old arthritic man of almost 14 years and I love him to death, and I got my goldfish at a carnival because I felt bad about how he was being treated. He’ll be 1 next month, and my friend owns his brother :)

13. how tall are you? 5’4 / 163 cm, I get called short a lot despite being the female global average. I think I just know too many tall people lol

14. fave subject in school? I’ve always been a sucker for history! It’s definitely my favorite thing to learn about outside of school, too.

15. dream job? That’s what I want to know!! Jk jk but seriously though, I would love to work in museum curation or something similar. It might not end up being what I do, but research and preservation have always interested me a ton.

my name is florence but most people call me flo or other nicknames. i’m a tanned 5’4 slim girl with long curly gold hair that i typically hold off my face with a ballet pink coloured ribbon. i have eyes that are constantly switching between blue, green and grey. my face is littered with freckles but i don’t have a lot on my body. i’m bisexual.

i really love classic literature and vintage books!!! along with vintage movies (especially audrey hepburn movies, i’m literally obsessed with her) i love alternative music from the 80s. think the smiths, blondie, echo and the bunnymen. but also i thrive listening to vintage love songs. i dress in a very typically feminine way with ditsy floral patterns and lace being a staple in my wardrobe. i love pressed flowers and journaling.

you and nance would have such an adorable romance. you know how i imagine it’d go? nancy has probably thought of herself as straight for a while. she knew she thought girls were pretty, but she felt something change in her the moment she laid eyes on you. it was like the attraction she’d felt toward steve, but… more? she felt the need to be by you all the time as soon as you two had your first conversation. she chalked it up as she now had a friendship she could equate to barb, but it was almost like it was more than that. with nancy, there’s a lot of realizing it’s more than platonic. it’s more than just, ‘florence is the most gorgeous girl i’ve ever seen.’ it is definitely more than ‘i’d probably kiss her if she was a guy.’ she would kiss you how you are now, and that’s what set off her crush for good.

you two would be the cutest couple. nancy would be a lot more in her masculine when she’s around you. she feels a need to protect- even though she knows you can protect yourself. your dates would consist of making your way to fields and putting flowers in each other’s hair and proceeding to roll down hills together and kiss at the bottom. you two would hold hands as much as you could, admiring the paint that adorned your nails that was put there by the other. you knew your relationship couldn’t be public for a while, but you wanted to love her just the same. you wanted to love her like your love was normal, as did she.

“What’s the rush, Nance?” You ask, a giggle leaving your lips as she looks back at you with a raised eyebrow.

“‘What’s the rush, Nance?’ More like, where’s the pep in your step, Flower?” There goes the sweet nickname you came to love, making your heart skip a beat and your face flush.

The stars above you twinkled brightly, lighting the path up to the highest hill in Hawkins, Indiana. Before you was the bird’s eye view of the carnival below, and you suddenly realized why you two were here.

“The fireworks?” You asked bashfully, your hand squeezing hera a bit more tightly now understanding aforementioned rush. “Nance, how did- But, didn’t the others want to watch them all together?”

“Flower…” She started. “We have the rest of our lives to spend with those dorks. We don’t know how long we both have… I want to love you now. Not later, never ever later.”

As you smiled and she pulled you in for a kiss, the first firework lit the sky.
