Joe said he wanted to make a podcast about rocks. he clarified he wanted to be able to talk about like moon rocks and meteorites and stuff, but not before the entire rest of the cast absolutely shit on him and continued making fun of him for it for the rest of the Q&A

- Jeremy sang “Impostor” live and absolutely KILLED it, his screams were even better than the recording it was so cool

Fugees have one of my top 5 albums of all time and they’ve been broken up since the nineties but they’re reuniting w/ Lauryn Hill to go on tour!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Except they’re skipping the entire US south which means I would need to drive 7-9 hours to see them even though this tour is literally a dream come true/once in a lifetime opportunity for me. Actually genuinely considering doing it but christ is that an undertaking…eeek

i mean not to call you out but you’re basically the blueprint my friend <3 (haha…BLUEprint…….alright i’ll see myself out)

but in general, comments that reference anything about the fic/chapter itself, or something specific to my writing. like, if i read a comment and it’s obvious that this commenter had actual Thoughts about the work, good or bad, that always makes me feel incredible as a writer. i think it’s so cool that my work can like, actually make people think or feel things beyond just “oh this fic is good, it’s enjoyable.” so when a reader expresses that, idk i just lose my mind over it. i think it’s so fun and so cool to be able to share these things w people

#like…reading comprehension? for MY fic? not just taking it at face value? it makes me feel so valued as a writer #i don’t blame people who read my fics just for enjoyment and don’t think abt them any further #like ultimately whatever enjoyment you get out of my writing i am so glad you got it #and even comments that are simple ‘loved this!’ will make me so happy #but when ppl say stuff like ‘oh i love this characterization bc xyz’ #‘oh the inner monologue fits so well with this scene’ #‘oh you built up the background here so well’ #it’s just amazing i’m always in awe #i remember on a really old fic someone found if after it was finished #and went through and commented their thoughts on each individual chapter with their reaction as they read #it made me so happy that someone felt compelled to express their live reaction #just blew my mind

Boy do I have updates

#I had my first experience with an arranged marriage type situation #Checked off all my boxes but I felt absolutely nothing #it was agonizing to try and process my feelings when our parents had spoken and everyone was so excited #so i sent a nice little message about how I’m just not feeling enough of a connection to move forward #and he said he wasn’t feeling it either but thought flying out to meet me would help #and that was ofc a major ick for me #if we’re not obsessed with each other I don’t want it!!! #so anyway I’m so relieved so glad I followed my heart #and now ofc everyone is acting like they agreed with me all along #but I feel so free and like I can really trust myself #this morning I went to this lecture series on world religions at this church nearby #it was open to everyone and it was in the university’s religious life newsletter #it was hilarious being the only nonwhite person under the age of like 70 #todays talk was about Buddhism and the chaplain from the meditation groups I’ve been going to was the speaker #so they gave me a lil shout out when talking about the university’s activities #and thennnnn at 1 I had my first date with Andrew #he lives an hour away but he drove all the way out here #we got ice cream and sat outside and talked #he is so handsome omg #tall and a thick beard and fit and suuuper well dressed but in a very understated way #a super deep voice and a bit of a southern accent which truly had me swooning #also he paid for my ice cream without me knowing which was so sweet #he’s from a suuuper tiny town but did his master’s here in the city #and one green flag is when he was talking about some friends’ bachelor parties he mentioned all these super wholesome activities #he laughs a lot #I had a really nice time #and I’m realizing that I’m so much more confident now #I can talk to anybody and really keep a conversation going #I took a Power Nap but I gotta get back to my homework soon phew #remember

Finally got the air conditioner in my room to work orz
