too much about the spirit of lucy gray baird haunting snow through katniss and peeta and not enough about his own hubris during the 10th games haunting him through katniss and peeta

so many of the things katniss and peeta say/do during the 74th games are a reflection of himself, and a consequence of his own actions. how uncomfortable was he hearing that peeta suffered a beating to sneak katniss bread as children, knowing he’d broken the rules to sneak lucy gray food when she was starving in the zoo?introducing betting on tributes and convincing lucy gray to perform for the audience to gain their favor were his ideas as a teenager. how pissed do you think he was as he watched the two of them play to the audience’s pathos, from peeta’s interview with flickerman all the way up until the nightlock passed their lips?

and when you consider that district 12 only won the 10th hunger games due to him cheating, do you think he saw himself in katniss when she pulled out the nightlock? she undermined seneca crane, much like snow undermined dr. gaul.

the thing is, dr. gaul was entirely willing to have no victor during the 10th games as a statement to the districts and rebels. the failure of the games in the capitol’s eyes would have been worth it if she could crush any hope the districts had for victory—but snow chose not to see the big picture. he only cared about himself and his legacy to the games. and now snow has to watch as crane saves both katniss and peeta. because katniss called their bluff; somebody has to win. the capitol would have been furious otherwise—they’ve made their bets and formed their biases (game traditions started by snow). and how the capitol feels takes precedent over whatever ensues in the districts after this.

snow understands the big picture now, but it’s far too late. katniss played the system he built and the districts have been inspired. and now he’ll watch that same system crumble before his eyes because of a stubborn teenage girl from district 12. a nightmare of his own creation

law, who wakes up feeling your nails digging into his chest. who’s on the edge of getting upset as he pries his eyes open. until he sees the way your eyes are squeezed shut, lips in a little frown. he realizes the nails against his chest are you trying to grip onto him, looking for safety from the dream that has you trembling at the moment.

law, who sighs, knowing you shouldn’t wake someone from a nightmare. who instead, wraps his arms around your form and drags you closer. holding your body closer to his, lips pressed to your hair, mumbling repeatedly: “hey, i’m here, it’s okay i got you im here.” until you’ve stopped trembling

law, who doesn’t know if you’ve truly heard him or not but will continue to hold you and speak to you anyways. your subconscious clings to him for safety and he’s happy to, determined to provide it. his fingers continue to rub soothing circles into your skin, to smooth over your hair. his lips continue to press to your head to mumble mindless comfort.

law, who won’t wall back asleep until your breathing has evened out again and your body has relaxed in his hood. he still won’t release you from his safe hold but he’ll at least know the danger has passed. it’s possible you won’t even remember this in the morning. but law does it for you anyways.

What is he looking for? That’s a question I haven’t really considered. I’ll be honest. But you know what I’ll get this version of him more fleshed out.

I see him having some things in common to og Zrise. I think he still likes strong personalities. He is probably not drawn to the stoic or quiet type immediately. As much as he loves his sister he is not a fan of dragging things out of people. I think he still is drawn to those with confidence. But for a different reason and he probably admires a different kind of confidence. I think it’s not envy anymore. It’s appreciation. I think this version of him is much more into people who have a good impact on others. Once again og Zrise was very envious of that but now it’s admiration. I think he still likes a chase but no longer a fight (to get affection that is) LMAO

I think this version of him is the type to passively admire a lot of people. But he’s a little hesitant about love or getting too close. He can certainly flirt and tease in a playful manner. But once things seem to cross into moving towards more intimate / romantic / sexual I see him kind of sheepishly backing off. Very ‘hah well you called my bluff and I can’t ante up’

I imagine because no Calistrian clergy, no training, no sex work, he’s very different in that department. I think he probably has some experience but not much. I don’t think he’s ever been in love before.

In my mind I think he’d easily make casual acquaintances. Harder for him to have long term friends. Not super intentional on his part. But it’s half not wanting to hurt people when he has to go wander. But also I think he’s sheepish about someone who looks at him with a deeply curious eye. I also still see him as the type to not really be locked down. Still working and traveling a lot. Just now with completely different intentions.

I see him as hesitate about romantic love because I think he’s actually scared about being drawn in too many directions. He’s worried about loosing focus. Which is funny for someone who worships the goddess of love. In his mind it’s that romantic love ‘eludes’ him. He’s kind of waiting for it to knock him on his ass. Love is something he’s not looking for but when he finds it I image he’ll be a wreck (affectionate).

I think he’s still worried about not being a good choice for someone. But not because he’s self destructive but he’s just a little flighty and finds it hard to open up. Very surface level friendly and kind but a little shy or sheepish. Worrying any feelings he would grown could be a burden to someone. Also he still loves dueling, combat, using his battle prowess to do good. He’s much less blood thirsty, but it means he worries about getting injured or dying and breaking someone’s heart. I think if he did fall in love a lot of these insecurities would fall to the wayside.

This version, unlike his og self, is the sibling that can have children biologically should he choose. The cursed making whoever has it infertile. So his mother is CONSTANTLY trying to set him up with ‘eligible singles’ usually women. Heirs are important to nobles. Though he would reject this. I think he’d really resent the heteronormativity. He’d still be very bisexual but his mother would say things like ‘I thought I was a lesbian and I’m not anymore.’ LMAO

Another reason he’s anxious about falling for someone. Because then he’s gonna have to break it to his mother and sister…

Zrise as a father… this version at least… getting emotional about it… this is hard. This is like so so so far from og Zrise but… it’s just stripping away all the curse and deep deep self loathing. Hmmm I think it wouldn’t be his first instinct to want to be a father. I think he would worry about the kind of parent he’d be. But I think he’d also want to be better than his mother and his father. But once he had a child or heard he was going to have one… I think that baby would have him wrapped around their little finger… and now I’m crying thanks

I think Drew is a really interesting character, and somehow he kinda tells me smth abt myself? Like Drew is sort of a bitch, he’s possessive, and a bully. But he genuinely cares about his friends and Jake especially, even if he isn’t the greatest at showing it? As I’ve made a post about on my blog before, it seemed like he was on the verge of tears in the Drake up scene. And that has technically been confirmed now because Drew’s VA mentioned in a video that rosy wanted him to say those lines sounding like he was going to cry (and one of the takes with those lines it was apparently obvious he was ‘crying’ but that one wasn’t used) He actually gave a fuck about Jake and cared about him, then he lost him. Like that makes me unable to truly hate him, because he isn’t horrible and 100% irredeemable. I think in the real world we forget things like this, because we don’t see people from the perspective we see in shows, books, etc. If I knew Drew in real life I wouldn’t see things like this about him, I wouldn’t even want to attempt to see a good side to him. That isnt a good thing, but I think majority of society is just like that, even if they don’t realize.

Oh yeah Logan does bring them huge sponsors such as Michelob ultra and Duracell which is HUGE beer and battery company here in America. I’m not sure how much money they’re being given but Williams has got to be smart. If they’re replacing Logan the driver also needs to bring the sponsors. But it’s slightly embarrassing for F1 that any team doesn’t have spare parts, so you’re telling me it’s okay for Williams which is literally ding run off an excel spreadsheet to still be in the sport but not letting in others teams because they bring nothing to the table is ridiculous. Right now Williams is just bringing messy and stress. There’s no telling what there strategy is, because Williams is being run not as a business because James’s background is strategy and mechanical engineering.
