Eddie can’t really feel his feet anymore. He knows that’s worse than when every step was agony, but all he feels is grateful that it’s one less thing urging him to just lie down and wait for rescue that’s not coming.

Buck hasn’t spoken in hours. Eddie has to look over his shoulder every few steps, terrified Buck might collapse without him noticing.

Turns out, he worried for nothing, because when Buck collapses the heavy thud of his body hitting the ground is unmissable.

Eddie scrambles back to his side and rolls him onto his back as carefully as he can. He’s startled by how bad he looks, his eyes are sunken and dull, and his lips are drier than the bit of sunburn they’ve taken should’ve caused.

“‘M fine,” Buck struggles to say through a clearly dry mouth. He’s severely dehydrated. But they only ran out of water a couple of hours ago, and sure Eddie’s thirsty, but that’s too fast to be this dehydrated. Except, Eddie had thought that even with their rationing they would’ve been out of water last night. But it lasted almost an entire extra day. He’d thought he’d just miscalculated, or they’d been able to ration a little better than he’d assumed. There’s a pit in his stomach that tells him his math had been correct, if two people had actually been drinking it instead of just one.

“Buck,” he says, trying to keep the anger out of his voice, but his words shake with it regardless. “Have you just been pretending to drink water?”

Buck focuses his eyes on him, and it terrifies Eddie how much effort it takes. He doesn’t know how Buck had kept walking for so long in this condition.

“Wasn’t enough for both of us. Made a judgment call.”

Eddie swears. If Buck were in better shape he’d kick his ass. Instead he grabs Buck’s arms and drags him to his feet. He gets one of Buck’s arms around his neck, and wraps one of his own around his waist, and starts half dragging him the direction they were going, Buck only really managing one step out of every three.

“You should just leave me,” Buck mumbles in his ear. “Send help back when you find it,” he adds, as if they both don’t know help would be far too late.

“Not happening. We’re doing this until you can’t anymore. And then I’ll just drag your sorry ass the rest of the way.”

And he means it. He just hopes they stumble across help or a water source soon, because he’s not letting go of Buck until either they’re home or they’re dead.

I saw a post on here a while ago and wish I could find it again but basically it was about how OP doesn’t think wincest is unrequited so much as it is unspoken and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. because like . Yes. Yes. Y es . i’m pretty much on board with any kind of wincest u present to me, platonic, romantic, familial, unrequited, requited, I’ll take the freaks in any form no notes. But. a version of samdean where they are both AGONIZINGLY in love with each other but believe there is no way the other feels the same OR that they both know exactly how weird they are about each other but are afraid to look at it directly or bring it into the light because the ramifications of doing so are so monumental and it doesn’t really matter anyway because they will never change. Like I’m personally a big fan of “nothing physical happened between them pre-Stanford but whatever WAS between them was so all-consuming and terrifying sam had to get away before it destroyed them both.” But then it destroyed them anyway. and it’s forever just this monster lurking that they know is there and it’s made all the larger because they will never speak of it. they speak around it, they cover for themselves with “he’s my brother” over and over and over he’s my brother. He’s my brother. He’s my BROTHER. but they can never say the words. They can never yank the sickness out. THAT. that. Thaht. DISCUSS

#This is mainly about Noé Archiviste. But also I will not forget what some people did to Simon Petrikov either when I was watching f&c #I’m so desperate for drawings of them. But for the love of God，is it that difficult? Somehow every other hexadecimal of their #Character design is exactly on model other than their skin. Just. .#OH YEAH I FORGOT KAEYA. FFS. Somehow it’s always the K**luc-ers that always do it. Which makes sense because they disregard his entire char #And with the new influx of atla fans people have been whitewashing Katara too! And I mean drawings of the original show too #probably delete later #And no one seems to have any problems with it? Especially if it’s sexualised art *talking more about Kaeya & Noé here.#People who whitewash the few (and when I say few I literally mean 5/82 playable characters) darker genshin characters. Actually fuck off #If I see ‘it’s just my art style’ or ‘it’s just the lighting’ *every other colour than the skin hasn’t been lightened in the slightest*#One more time-i’m going to explode #Oh and while I’m on this topic! Fuck Bochum for whitewashing literally the entire starlight express cast! Electra being the first ever #non binary character in musical theatre while also being played by black actors. Literally the last character who hasn’t been replaced is Momma/Poppa.#And being black is so integral to their character and music. fauci saying “vulnerable people will fall by the wayside” and that some will die but that’s ok because we’re not going to see the “tsunami of cases” we’ve seen before is so dehumanising. so babies with no immune system, elderly people, disabled people, and people without adequate access to healthcare can all die of covid. but it’s ok guys because actually they’re just falling to the wayside and everyone else will go back to normal and be fine (sarcasm).

my death or the deaths of my family or friends wouldn’t be us “falling by the wayside”, it would be us being failed by our government, healthcare systems, and communities who have refused to take coronavirus seriously despite mounting anecdotal and scientific evidence of the harm this virus does. fact that people can accept the deaths of vulnerable groups just because they want to eat in a restaurant or don’t want to wear a mask is horrifying
