For context as to why I’m thinking about this: there’s this youtuber called mama doctor jones who’s whole channel is about teaching about reproductive health. From her I learn about the effective rate of condoms. Essentially they’re incredibly effective if used perfectly every time (I think it’s like 98% effective dont quote me on that), but the effectiveness goes down if you’re using them how most ppl use them (she said this is called typical use). Meaning that sometimes people don’t wear it correctly, or just don’t use a condom.

So then I started thinking about Zoro and Sanji hooking up (enemies with benefits to lovers obv) but Sanji realizes he’s out of condoms. Zoro is like “eh fuck it. Go without it” cue anime heart eyes and over the top blushing.

I’ve been playing Mario Galaxy again and it just occurred to me. I never 100%-ed this game? Like ever?? As a kid it’s understandable bc some of the later levels are p difficult (especially the comets) but even as an adult. I’ve played this game a few times and just never…..fully completed it nfndndn

Anyway I got 120 stars for the first time in my LIFE and I’m p jazzed about it actually. I probably won’t play through the game as Luigi for a while bc I’d rather not sit through all those levels all over again but when I come back to play it in a year or two! The Luigi run will be waiting for me.

I’m so so hyped to play Galaxy 2 I actually wanted to start with that but I figured I’d start with Galaxy 1 bc it’s a classic and also way shorter than 2 so (Literally. Beat it in 2 days). Lol

this is cliche and i know it’s been said before, but josh is definitely the type of boyfriend to not be uncomfortable with periods at all. he loves to lounge around with you in your jammies (thinking about that helping hands interview where he talks about jammies). he makes it very comfortable for you, like there’s no awkwardness keeping tampons in his bathroom or bleeding through anything. one night you go out with all the boys, and get up to use the restroom. josh soft grabs your arm and pulls you back down, and you look at him very confused. he leans in close to you and whispers that you’ve bled through your pants, and he feels so bad when he sees your face go red and you struggle to pull your shirt down far enough. josh calms you down, and places his jacket on your lap, so you can tie it around your waist for the rest of the night. once you two get home you walk towards the laundry room to put his jacket in the wash and josh stops you immediately. he knows how much you hate the feeling of bleeding through so he tells you he can take his jacket, and while he’s at it he will wash you pants and underwear too. once he tosses them in the wash, he joins you in the shower. showering with him while menstruating is magnificent. he washes your hair for you, and scrubs your body nice and gently and wraps you in a cozy towel when you get out. josh is just very attentive and in tune with your body, he’s aware that your back is achy, your cramps are uncomfy and your boobs are always sore. he uses this knowledge to his advantage so he always has an excuse to cuddle close to you and watch you eat all of the snacks.-🦦

So my friend’s birthday is coming up soon, and this friend and I recently did a book read together where we read Tolkien’s Beren and Luthien aloud together, alternating chapters, and it was so much fun because she is one of the few irl friends who is as much a Tolkien fan as I am, and we frequently had to pause and just admire how incredible his poetry and prose is (or, “how good he is at words” 😂) one of our absolute favorite lines from the entire book, though, was the following:

“danger he sought and death pursued, and thus escaped the fate he wooed”

(Like!!!! oh my god???? Tolkien absolute 100/10 incredible no notes)

anyway, back to the gift! so— as recently I acquired some beautiful, stunning Japanese notepaper with an artwork inspired by Genji on it—another thing on my friend’s and my TBR, and also she’s quite the shinnichi—I decided to combine those different loves into a birthday gift!

so, I wrote the two lines of the poem on the notepaper in kanji, then the translation on the back, and included the notepaper/bookmark as well as a bag of sencha tea and a note wishing her a happy birthday, in the envelope, which I also decorated with a cherry blossom wax seal and a stamp of another traditional Japanese art. It probably won’t arrive for a few days at least but that’s okay because it gives it time for postal delays and to still arrive before her birthday. In any case I’m just so excited about this cute gift and since she won’t have it for a bit I needed to let out some of the excitement in a space she won’t see 🥰🌸🍵❣️✨🧧🪭
