Introducing Meiri (pronouced May-ree), my Bell Keeper's daughter OC!
I'd been thinking about creating this OC for a long time, and finally got the energy to actually conceptualize her a few months ago. Stubborn and smart, Meiri is the kind of person that at first sight makes you assume she hates you, but if you manage to stick around long enough you'll see she has a soft core, especially for her dad. Don't point it out, though. She'll deny it to her grave.
(Introduction and a bit more of lore under the cut)
I wanted to make her introduction post today because the plan was making it on her in-universe birthday date. Originally it was going to be on the 21st of September, but that one was already taken. By The Hilda The Series. I'm not gonna compete with that. Oh, and also because I'm kinda terrified about the looming announcement of season 3 and wanted to introduce her asap in case they destroy something in Meiri's lore with the new season. No idea how long we will have between the announcement and the release date (I mean, last time there was enough time to freak out about her dad, so there's hope!), but I wanted to get her origin story at least mostly posted before the new content arrived :') will I manage it? Who knows!
Anyway, most of her content will be in the form of fics (obviously), but I've been trying to draw her as well because I feel some ideas are just best executed that way. I'm still only beginning, though, so don't expect much from me 😅
Aside from the info already mentioned in this post, I'd like to add that she uses she/her pronouns, is on the autistic spectrum (I don’t know how to write neurotypicals anymore, sorry) and that there are also two other designs for her, for a 9-12 age range and a 15-17 age range, but those will (hopefully) come later on as I expand the Meiridom.
Ah, yeah, that's the tag I'll use for all the content related to this OC. Because. You know. Kingdom. Meiri. Meiridom. Anyway.
This lil gal has been living rent free in my mind as of late sooo here she is! Thank you for your attention :)
(And special thanks to waddles for hyping me up and for helping me with drawing stuff since I Do Not Know what I’m doing hdjdbdndbjs)
[(Should probably also mention that that last picture is a Canva slide. The only thing I drew there was Meiri)]

WIP Title Meme Tag
Thank you very much to @rbbess110 for tagging me to do this! I've never done this one before.
RULES: Post the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the most intriguing title, and then post a little snippet or tell them something about it! Then tag as many people as you have WIPs. (this part is optional tho)
The thing is... all my writing files are all over the place lol. That being said, I have some good titles that hopefully you guys will like a lot! I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys ask about my work.
Most of my file names are chapter titles.
Steph's Crew: The Misfit Manifesto
Exam Week
The End (of February Mocks)
Life with B
Nothing but the Truth
A Million Lives (and all of them suck)
Suspended
Life Without B
Why I Could Never Be a Rebel

A Night to Remember
A Night I'll Probably Never Forget
Where's Steph?
Leaving on a Jet Plane
The Beginning (of our final exams)
Epilogue (Stephanie's letters to her friends)
There. That's all the chapters in order (at least, I hope it's in order... idk tho). Something about this story that's really fun is that each of these chapters is in the perspective of a different character! Originally, it was just in Steph's POV (it was supposed to be her journal). I'm still very much in the process of editing this one, so some of these could still change in future (some of these chapter titles are way too long imo).
Steph's Crew: Unreported Violent Crimes
This is the sequel to the first book! I've only started it a couple of months ago... so there aren't quite as many this time. It's not quite finished yet, but I'm definitely going to add more chapters to this later!
The News Report
So, Some Guy Died Last Night...
Pillow Talk
The History of Stephanie and Ben
To Take Matters into One's Own Hands
Visiting an Old Friend
Stephanie's Upbringing
I've Never Had a Best Friend
The Story of Em and Jack
This is a story that I'm posting on Wattpad! I've already posted chapter 1, but I've got all these other chapters in the works as well:
Jemily
Flashback #1 (Elementary School)
Friends
Summertime
Meeting Mom
Jen's Party
Flashback #2 (Freshman Year)
"You broke me."
Back to School
"I think I loved you."
The Best Friend Zone
Flashback #3 (The First Breakup)
Square One
Thinking about the Future
Homecoming
Together
Be Good
"Let's NOT fight about this."
Fast-forward (College)
Another story that I'm planning to post on Wattpad is my Five Seconds Flat series... but I'm not going to post any of my file names/chapter names here, because it's literally based off of the Lizzy McAlpine album of the same name lol. All the chapters are titles from the album. Here's a link to it in case you want to see it, though (the album is awesome, btw. Hope you guys enjoy it!!):
AU
(I'm posting this series here in September! So you guys will get to see this very soon... I'm super excited! There are 10 chapters this time - this story has an ensemble cast of characters, and each chapter has a new focus character. There isn't a single "main character" - though some characters appear more than others)
1: “Starting Point" (focus character = Zephyr)
2: “Meet Cute” (focus character = Eurydice)
3: "Just This Once…" (focus character = Caius)
4: "Junebug" (focus character = Juniper)
5: "New Friends" (focus character = Cassius)
6: "Don’t Be a B-word" (focus character = Avalon)
7: "Say it with Chest" (focus character = Isadora)
8: "Things Shouldn’t Be Like This" (focus character = Adara)

How much do you plot out your stories before you write them?
More than I used to!
Up until maybe 2019 I almost never plotted out stories beforehand. Therefore I have a LOT of started docs saved with little random ideas: some of which never became more than a page, some of which went haywire after a while and never recovered. And there are some entire "books" or fics that were completely improvised as I wrote them. That used to be how I wrote when I wrote for my own enjoyment only.
I tried my hand on an overarching structure for an original work back in 2017/18, but that was probably my real first planning for any story I'd ever written.
And then I think it was @alienducky who really got me into plotting and got me stuck on it for real. We worked on a fic together, and it would have been practically impossible to do that without some kind of joint plan. I remember she started a table at the top of the doc where she listed all the scenes, and I was like yeah, that's a good idea, and it was. After that I started plotting out my own fics in a similar manner too, and now I never want to go back to how I did it before. The stories just turn out so much better when I know where I'm going from the beginning. But I plot in a way that still lets me be creative with the plot along the way.
So this is how I do it nowadays:
Scribble any little initial idea I have - sometimes in a single sentence, sometimes in a paragraph, sometimes in random loose sentences here and there that only make sense to me.
Place the bits I know I want into some kind of organised scene structure - if I don't already know which order things will happen in, I'll get a first sketch on that now. I usually structure this into actual chapter titles (placeholder titles that just give me an idea of what the scene is about) so that step 5 becomes a bit easier later.
Loosely figure out what kind of ending I want - just so I have something to aim for. Usually I have two large threads going and then a number of subthreads; the main threads (like a fantasy conflict or a romantic struggle) have to be clearly solved at the end imo, but some of the subthreads can be more loosely handled. At this point in the process though it's all just a rough sketch.
Slowly fit more pieces I want into the puzzle - any scenes that are necessary to bring me to the end somehow, or even scenes that bring me joy to think about, as long as they don't stray too far from the main threads. I also make sure to always add in early on which pov I think I want for every scene.
When I have a beginning, an end, and a number of scenes that seem to coherently bring me from one to the other, I start fleshing out parts. This usually means that I start writing bits and pieces here and there. Often I wrote the first handful of chapter first before I go on to the rest of the story, so I have a basic idea for myself of what the characters want and how they should be acting. But after the first few chapters, I usually jump from scene to scene depending on what mood I am in and what feels more joyful at any point in time. So I might write half a scene in chapter 7 one day to then write an entire chapter 22 the next day, only to then jot down a few paragraphs into chapter 16 after that. (This is my adhd working, I let it because it's worked out pretty well for me so far.)
Along the way I may come up with new ideas and adjust things, I flesh out scenes that were very barebone in the beginning, I solve and change things that turned out not to work, and when I reach the latter chapters that I wrote early on (for example ch 22, if I wrote that straight after ch 7), I'll usually have changed enough things that I need to rewrite large parts of that chapter. That is fine by me, it's all part of the process.
I should also add that if I've started posting it on for example Ao3 along the way, I sometimes - very rarely, but it happens - adjust my plans depending on what people comment. This is usually only if someone comments something that is so genius or otherwise so perfectly natural for the story that I just cannot let it go by without doing something with it, and only if it fits into the plot somehow. One example of this is when I noticed that several people were suspecting a particular character of having hidden motives. Up until that point I hadn't planned on doing much at all with that character, but when I realized that what I'd already written was leading very naturally to their conclusion, I decided to give that character more space from there on out and even played into the whole hidden agenda idea (but with a twist). That kind of thing can be really fun to do, but I don't do it if I don't think it will work for the plot I already have.
There have also been occasions where conversations with @alienducky have led me to change things in similar ways. One example of this is when I sent her a first overarching plot of my entire then upcoming fic series back in... 2020 I think? And she's great with noticing details, so she asked me how the characters would be able to send letters to each other if they didn't know where the other person was. I told her there was a magically enhanced wolf in there that would be used to bring letters back and forth. She was so into the idea of this wolf, and asked what would happen to it later in the story, that I simply had to make it part of the main cast, and in the end it even played a very important part in a reveal down the line. XD Throwaway details that grow larger like that are also very fun.
Omg I actually found our old convo from back then, I can't not add it in here.
Tumblr media
TLDR; I plot out an overarching story with beginning, end and bits and pieces in-between, then adjust as I go.

Hello! Your super secret santa here! Was looking through some of your tags to decide what to draw for you and wanted to ask some questions if that's okay ❤️
1.) For galaxies, do you have a ref of their full bodies and what the base might look like for Y/N? And perhaps what Y/N in the story might look like? I'm very interested in it as a subnautica fan myself haha!
2.) For eventide, are there any particular outfits you have for them that you prefer them in? And what kind of jobs they might handle? I don't know much about them but I would love to hear what info you do have to offer!
(Gosh I really hope this goes through as anon)
These are excellent questions! (I'm practically BUZZING with excitement already, omg)
Galaxies: Okay, so I do have a full-body one for Sun, and I'm going to post it here because at this point I don't know when the coloring book is getting released to everyone? Or if it already did? Anyway, so here's that, I've been a bit of a mess since May so I haven't even gotten around to finishing coloring this piece (it's my own coloring page, I recognize the irony). So, Fish-Sun in flats (with Sea Monkey babies):
Tumblr media
(I absolutely love Subnautica and Below Zero!!!!)
Now, Moon didn't get finished because a lot of really awful things happened all at once at the end of May and beginning of June, I got repeatedly sick, and so I didn't get around to finishing Moon's coloring page yet. It'll be done eventually, but for now, I'll show you what I did do.
Tumblr media
(it actually breaks my heart a little, because I had so many plans for this one, aaaahhhhhhh) So Moon's form in general is pretty similar to Sun's design (long, almost eel-like). He was supposed to have more spines that you can kinda see in the original sketch of Moon in the ref pic, and his design was going to be very inspired by a lionfish, spines down the back and at the "hips".
Tumblr media
The end of his tail was actually inspired by an axolotl, I just really liked drawing the little fin on my original sketch (which is long gone) and was like "Yeah, don't care that it looks odd, he's an alien". I do have plans to add more sub-sections of the story later (piratespiratespiratespirates) and I'll probably have to design baby Sun and Moon eventually, but I imagine both will be similar to axolotls, since they're supposed to be related species.
Tumblr media
Eventide: Actually yes, I did draw up a buncha outfits! I couldn't tell what was too many refs and what would be wanted, so I cut a bunch of doodles of Eventide that I've got.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, Eventide is a child unit built by my YN with Sun and Moon's help. She starts as a small child (5-6 years old) and "grows up" (through physical upgrades and hardware updates as her AI learns and grows) with her mum, two dads, and two human sisters. Story-wise, I have the plot for her to get up to about 15-16 (not because she dies, just because I haven't planned beyond that), and she wants to do all sorts of things. Legally, she is the property of YN and not Fazzbear Entertainment, and I'm not sure how to address the whole "can she legally have a job?" thing because I also don't know how to address the whole "Robots are people too, but how do I give them rights", so mostly it's the typical teenage/child level of "I want to be a ballerina and a doctor and a scientist and also I want to do what Mom does (officially, a handler for Sun and Moon and considered an expert in certain kinds of AI and human interactions that go into having a complicated family situation (two robot partners, two human children, one robot child)) and also she wants to do what Sun and Moon do (they will eventually be "retired", this is an agreement YN has with Fazzbear after a disastrous situation at another location, and they will be released permanently into YN's care at that point, but again, that's further down the line). At this time, her "job", as YN states (eventually, when I get there in the story), is to "be a kid and find out what all that means". (As for what she will probably do, I'm leaning towards a baker/barista, a marine biologist, or an artist of some sort.)

The Stupendous Silver Striker: Issue One, Part One
Next
As the final bell's impending ring echoed through the bustling hallways of Robert Goddard High School, Gary Hammerschmidt deftly maneuvered through the swarm of students. He weaved through the crowded corridors, skillfully dodging classmates, lockers, and even a particularly aggressive dodgeball that whizzed past his ear.
“Sorry!” Gary cried out, narrowly avoiding a collision with a pair of students who materialized from his blind spot. He bobbed and weaved with a mix of agility and grace.
Ordinarily, Gary wouldn't be in such a hurry. He didn't usually have any pressing extracurriculars to rush to, but today was an exception.
Having received a slew of new additions for his ever-expanding model city as a reward for acing his latest test, Gary couldn't contain his excitement. The thought of returning home and immersing himself in his miniature world sent a surge of joy through his veins.
As he approached the double doors that led to his freedom, Bristol Lucian, his best friend, caught up with him.
“Hey, Gary!” Bristol grinned, sidling up beside him and nudging the doors open, gesturing for Gary to pass through first. “Got any plans for this afternoon? I'm building a new PC and could really use your help.”
Gary reciprocated Bristol's smile, adjusting his backpack onto one shoulder as he slowed his pace. He could momentarily suppress his excitement to converse with his friend.
"Sorry, Dude," Gary said apologetically. "I've got my own project to dive into."
"Oh! Right, more additions for your little city!" Bristol realized, a spark of understanding brightening his eyes. "How about tomorrow, then?"
Gary pondered for a moment. He had already committed to his model for the rest of the day, and the same applied to tomorrow. But it had been a week since he had spent quality time with Bristol, and a pang of guilt tugged at his heart. After all, as his mom often said, people come first.
"Sure! I'd love to. I'll swing by tomorrow after dropping off my stuff."
"Sounds like a plan. See you tomorrow!"
With that, Bristol turned and headed for the sidewalk. Gary wished he could walk with him, but they lived on opposite sides of the city, so their paths diverged.
His walk home was blissfully uneventful, and Gary was able to slip into his imagination and begin to pre-plan what he’d do next.
I should probably add a couple more townhouses in the residential district, He thought, kicking a rock along in front of him as he made his way down the sidewalk, There just aren’t enough of them.
Gary‘s “fatal flaw“, as his dad called it, was that he just didn’t know when to quit. Currently, he had a perfectly good city, it was large, imposing, and it was filled with all sorts of wonderful miniature architecture, but there were no minute details. Gary was often so busy adding more and more buildings, that he neglected to add any figures at all.  So, the city got bigger and bigger, but there were no residents or streetlights to fill it. Gary had asked for figures, but the thing was, they might never be used.
A short time later, Gary turned a corner and found himself on his street. He jogged the last few paces and then up the stairs to the front stoop where he paused to search for his keys before jamming them in the lock and letting himself into the house.
”Afternoon, kiddo!” Derek Hammershmidt called from the kitchen as soon as Gary entered the parlor. Gary could  almost swear that his dad had a sort of sixth sense that was only useful for knowing when people were entering the house.
”Hey, Dad,” Gary returned the greeting, swinging his backpack off of his shoulder and letting it drop to the floor next to the pile of shoes that waited patiently beside the front door. Kicking off his own shoes, he wandered into the kitchen, “Lunch break?”
Gary’s dad nodded and held up a half-empty plate of pork chop leftovers,
”Yup. I take ‘em when I can, my last meeting was two hours long,” He grunted. Gary’s dad worked from home, so he was almost always around when Gary got home. Usually, he’d just come downstairs a few minutes after Gary came through the door, but sometimes he happened to be downstairs on a break.
”They’re working you to death,” Gary smirked, grabbing a can of soda from the refrigerator, “Also, you do know that Mom went to the store yesterday, right?” He pointed out, with another grin, “You don’t have to eat last night‘s leftovers.”
"And waste the rest of your mother's splendid cooking? I think not. I am the Leftover King!"
Gary rolled his eyes in a lighthearted display of feigned annoyance. Truthfully, he found his father's quirks rather endearing, but playing the part of the generic teenager was all part of the fun.
"Speaking of Mom, where is she, anyway?" Gary inquired, glancing out of the kitchen window. It seemed that Ruby Hammershmidt wasn't in the garden, her usual afternoon haunt.
"She's off picking up something she bought. A side table or something," Derek shrugged. "She should be back in about half an hour. Left a little while ago."
Gary nodded in understanding. His mom was usually off buying and selling antiques and stuff like that while Gary was at school. It was a hobby of hers that Gary took an interest in. Sometimes, when a piece needed to be fixed or refurbished, Gary would help out with some of the materials he had squirreled away in the attic. It was often good mother-son bonding time.
Gary then took a couple more sips of his soda, decided that he really wanted to get to work, drained the rest of his soda, and tossed the can in the trash. He then turned and made for the stairs, but his dad stopped him.
”Woah, woah, Rocketeer, where’re you headed?”
“My room. I want to get to work on my city,” Gary explained, halfway turning to face him, “I’ve been waiting all day, Dad.”
Gary‘s dad raised an eyebrow but said nothing else. He then shrugged,
”Alright, go on, kiddo. Have fun with your city. Build me a nice big house with a pool, won’t you?” He joked, cracking a smile, “Just make sure to come downstairs for dinner and not get sucked into that little world of yours, righto?”
Gary nodded once, already turning back towards the stairs,
”Alright, yes sir!” And then he was off, running up the stairs towards his room.
Gary raced into his room like the man on a mission that he was, and he skidded to a stop at the door, his shoes slipping on the hardwood. He knew he was a bit over excited to get back to work on something that he’d been working on for nigh months now, but that was just how he was. He just had to grab a few things before he went up to the attic, where he kept the model city. Most of his models, like the Eiffel Tower and the White House, for example, had their own space on Gary’s shelves, but since the city was so massive, it was up in the attic, which was fine for Gary since that was also where his parents made him keep his hoard of bits-and-bobs for model-making..
Gary grabbed his travel-friendly model-making kit and went to the end of the hallway and pulled down the ladder for the attic. He pushed the kit up the ladder and onto the attic floor in front of him before he pulled himself up the ladder. He always found it hard to climb stairs or ladders with stuff in his hands. Gary had this weird thing about wanting to be able to see his feet when he was going up things.
The attic was dark and dusty, so Gary pulled the cord directly above him, turning on a single LED bulb and shedding the space in bright white light. He picked up his kit and made his way over to his model city, which he had covered with a sheet the night before to prevent it from somehow getting dirty or messed up.
Gary whipped off the sheet and then stood for a moment, admiring his handiwork.
”Now that is what I call a great place to live,” Gary said, doing an announcer impression with a grin of pride on his face, “Crime rate? Zero. Coolness rate? One hundred percent!”
He chuckled to himself and put down his burden, kneeling and opening the kit while spreading the different tools around so he could get a good look at them all and decide which one he was going to use.
Where did I put my tweezers? He wondered, sifting through the disorganized kit with his eyebrows knitted together, I could have sworn I put it back in here last night…?
Then, Gary remembered. He’d left his tweezers on the table in his bedroom because he’d brought them down to re-add a couple pieces to his White House, which had lost a pillar and a windowsill.
“Shoot,” He said aloud, looking at the trapdoor and thinking whether or not it was worth it to climb back down the ladder and back to his room, Well, while I’m up here I should add in a couple figures. It’s about time.
Gary stood and brushed himself off. He turned, went over to the corner where he kept the figures and other materials, and he opened one of the drawers he knew held the plastic trees and streetlights. He didn’t think his city was yet ready for a civilian population, but a couple trees, streetlights, and other fixtures wouldn’t hurt to add some atmosphere. He gathered the figures and deposited them in the only empty space in his city, the park. It would serve as a holding spot until he could disperse the items evenly among the many buildings. He observed the pile for a moment before frowning thoughtfully.
I’m missing something. I’ve got the regular city stuff, but the park’s going to be pretty empty save for some trees… yeah. Parks usually have gaudy statues and stuff, but I don’t know if I have any of those on hand, He swept his eyes around the attic before they landed on an old trunk that he recalled his dad once telling him belonged to his grandpa, Hey! Grandpa was an architect. Maybe he had some little models he used for planning or something?
Gary climbed over piles of boxes and maneuvered around random items that had been put up in the attic for storage until he reached the trunk. There wasn’t a lock on it, but as Gary sat down and tried to open it, he found that it was a lot harder to open than he expected as the latch was rusted a bit. Gritting his teeth, he pulled with all his might, and the trunk popped open with a slight cracking noise.
Inside, there wasn’t much to look at. It was mainly empty, save for a photo album, personal papers, a wedding ring, a small statuette of a broadsword, and then just a couple of random items that seemed to have no sort of connection to each other.
I guess Grandpa was a bit of a minimalist, Gary thought, reaching down into the chest and taking out the broadsword, This would work for the park, though. I can put it on a hill or something. If I add a little plaque or something on the base of it it‘ll look just like any old memorial.
Gary then put the statuette on the edge of a box behind him and he began to dig through the papers, curious to know if he could discover anything interesting about the grandfather that died before he was born. He leafed through them, skimming underneath headers that seemed like they’d contain interesting tidbits, but he stopped after the third or fourth paper. The long, vague life of Jason Hammerschmidt wasn’t all too interesting of a read.
Gary stood and turned around to grab the statuette, ready to return to his city and then grab his tweezers, when he knocked his knuckle against the statuette. Gary’s heart seemed to skip a beat as it wobbled on its base, but it didn’t fall.
Whew, that was close. I don’t want to break that of a things! Gary thought, grabbing the statuette in his hand and walking towards the narrow path he’d made between the towering stacks of boxes, Dad would probably kill me.
Gsry turned a corner, and his shoulder bumped against one of the box towers. Then, a couple of unfortunate things happened in very quick succession.
First, the statuette slipped out of Gary’s hand, and, faster than he could duck down to try to grab it, it shattered against the floor. Then, Gary felt a severely strong force rush against him, and his vision was obscured by what looked like silver mist as he fell backwards and hit his head on a box behind him.
Gary‘s vision blurred, and for a moment all he could think was that he really didn’t want to get a concussion or die alone in the attic from blunt force trauma. Everything then went black, but just as quickly, his vision cleared.
Gary sat up, rubbing the back of his head, not sure if he was sure of what had just happened. It seemed to have happened so fast that his brain had struggled to register it. He tried recounting it in his head, but it was still just as confusing.
Gary turned to look at the offending box, a purple plastic one with the label “Dad’s Pots”. He scowled as he stood back up. Now his head hurt and he’d just broken one of his Dad’s last remaining items of his father’s!
Gary supposed he could try to recover the pieces and glue them back together, but when he looked for where he dropped it, he couldn’t find a single trace of it.
Maybe it rolled between the boxes…? Gary thought, getting on his hands and knees and pushing boxes and other junk out of the way. This is just great! I broke and lost it in one fell swoop!
Gary spent well over an hour trying to find the statuette, but no matter where he looked, he couldn’t find even the slightest trace of it. He didn’t give up, even though he was feeling a little funky and his head hurt. He only halted his search when he heard his mom calling him down for dinner.
Gary sighed deeply before climbing down the ladder and closing the trap door. He decided not to tell his parents about the broken statuette until he found it. He wanted to make sure it was actually broken before he went and got himself in trouble for it, because while he’d heard the sound of it shattering, he actually hadn’t seen it, and he was hoping that the damage wasn’t as bad as the sound had implied.
Gary trudged his feet when he reached the kitchen, and he flopped into a chair. His dad raised an eyebrow when he saw him. Clearly, Gary’s dad was confused and maybe a bit concerned by the sudden demeanor change from how he’d been couple hours before.
”You okay, Gary?” Gary’s mom asked, ever vigilant to her son’s appearance as she set a plate of lasagna in front of him, “You look… ruffled.”
”I’m fine, mom,” Gary said, feigning nonchalance despite the fact that he was still feeling a little odd, “Though, I did fall and hit my head in the attic. I’m fine, now!” He added the last part on rather quickly as his mom‘s expression twisted into a frown, “It doesn’t hurt anymore or anything.”
Ruby Hammerschmidt was excellent at telling when her son or husband was lying, but she seemed to not be too worried about Gary this time, as she let it slide and dropped the topic.
Gary was grateful that she’d left him alone on that, as he really just wanted to finish his dinner and get to bed. A good night’s sleep would make him feel better, that he was certain. He practically inhaled his lasagna and then brought his empty plate to the dishwasher.
”Thanks Mama, that was delicious. Also, despire the fact that I’m feeling fine, I do feel a little tired, so you don’t mind if I go to bed early tonight?” Gary asked, trying his best not to rub the back of his head, where a small welt had formed.
Gary’s parents exchanged a look. Clearly, there would be further questioning now or in the morning depending on whether or not they wanted to talk about his behavior. Gary hoped it would be held off for the morning because he suddenly was feeling very drained.
”That’s fine,“ Gary’s mom said after a moment or two as she walked over and gave Gary a hug and a kiss on his forehead, “Sleep well, and make sure that you’ve got any and all of your homework finished.”
Thankfully, Gary thought, reciprocating the hug, I didn’t get any homework today.
Gary then hugged his dad around the neck and turned to go upstairs, not running this time like he had only a couple hours before.
In his room, Gary kicked off his shoes and put his glasses on the bedside table before flopping down on his bed. He had been intending on laying down for a moment before getting up to do his night time routine, but sleep hit him like a sack of bricks, and he was out like a light in mere minutes.

Chapter Eight
The Boyfriend
Pairing: Todoroki x Fem!Reader
previous | next | sent to the hot seat
It is now almost a week later and you've already broken off the arrangement you had with your parents. They then had a falling out with Rai's family, but both sides got over it quickly. They plan on using the next in line anyway and your pretty sure your little brother will be more than happy to finally get his first girlfriend.
So, yes, you did break up with your boyfriend. However, technically, he broke up with you claiming that it was his decision not to be with you. But you don't really care so you just said goodbye and walked away.
And luckily, thanks to Aizawa as well as your own merits of doing so well in school, Principal Nezu has kept you on a scholarship with Endeavor agreeing to help you out however you need it. Todoroki was happy, too, to see his dad do some good for the future of other pro heroes besides those of his own.
You are now walking back to your dorm beside Torodoki when he pulls you aside beside a small river on the opposite side of your building. He takes you gently by the hand and takes a step closer to you.
"I'm really glad you're staying here," he begins as he stares straight into your soul, causing you to lose your breath for a moment.
"You know how I feel about you," he then continues. "And I don't want you to leave just as quickly as you came into my life."
"Well, I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon," you smile.
"Good."
You then take a deep breath and realize that it's now or never to admit that he makes your heart melt every time you look at him. "I've got something to confess, too," you explain vaguely, making him look at you with confusion as though it isn't totally obvious what you're about to admit.
"I feel the same way. I don't want you to leave and I enjoy every second I'm with you. Being with you makes me so happy. And I've felt that way since we met I've just been so scared of messing things up with my parents and what I was meant to do. I'm sorry."
Todoroki's eyes widen as he listens to you speak. "You don't have to apologize," he tells you as he grips your hands a bit tighter. "Can I ask you something?"
"Sure," you reply, hoping he's about to ask what you hope he's going to ask.
"Will you be with me? I mean, as in be my girlfriend?"
"Of course!" you smile, throwing your arms around his neck and pulling him into the first guiltless kiss the two of you have shared.
As you then pull away from him, you look over and see Mina, Jirou, Yaoyorozu, Tsuyu, Uraraka, and part of Hagakure.
"I'll see you later, Y/N," Todoroki smiles as he gently releases your hands from his grasp.
"See ya," you hum back as you watch him walk away.
Hagakure then skips up to you as happy as can be. "OMG you're finally together!" she practically squeals.
"It took you long enough!" Jirou adds with a smile.
"I'm so glad you can finally be with him!" Uraraka adds. "The two of you look so happy together."
"We are," you happily assure her.
"Oh, by the way, Y/N, what are you doing tonight?" Yaoyorozu asks.
"Nothing. We didn't plan a date or anything he only asked me to be his girlfriend. Should I have said something?" You ask a bit worriedly.
"No, no, that isn't what we meant," Mina shakes her head. "We want to know if you're busy tonight so we can throw a party!"
"A party? For what?"
"For all of the intern and job offers we got after the big event last week, ribbit," Tsuyu croaks.
"Then yeah, I'm free and I'd love to go!" you grin excitedly.
"Are you sure," Jirou whispers.
"Why wouldn't I be?" you whisper back. "It sounds like fun."
"Because Mina's gonna be there," he replies, catching Mina's ears.
"Hey, I heard that! What was that for?!"
"It means that you get way too nosy when you're drunk," Jirou scoffs.
"That's kinda true..." Tsuyu thinks aloud.
Uraraka scratches the back of her neck as she chuckles awkwardly. "I mean that is how I ended up with Deku..." she admits.
Your eyes widen as you look at how they all seem to be staring you down. "Noooo, it's not like that with Todoroki and I!" you attempt to assure them.
Mina crosses her arms at your little fib. "Yeah, right!"
"We just started dating," you remind them.
"But it won't be like that for long," Hagakure sings.
"Do you think you're ready for that next step?" Yaoyorozu then asks.
You can feel your hands begin to sweat at her questions. You've got no idea what to say. Sure, you've been with your boyfriend like that before but with Todoroki it still feels weird to even think of him that deeply in that way. Considering that only a week ago you had a different boyfriend, you still feel a bit guilty about it all.
"I don't know," you admit. "I've always tried not to think of him like that because I was with Rai before and I knew having those thoughts was totally wrong..."
"But now you aren't with Rai," Jirou reminds you. "You're with Todoroki and you don't need to feel guilty about that at all. You should be happy and enjoy the time that you have with him. Take it at your own pace but just remember to do what makes you happy."
She's right just like always. You no longer have to be all worried about your feelings with Todoroki. Besides, now you don't need to be anything but happy when you spend time with him now, and that will feel so good.
"Thanks, Jirou," you smile. "I will."
As Jirou wraps her arms around you, the others smile and giggle in excitement. "Come on," she says to you, "let's go inside so we can all get ready and then meet up again in a little while."
"Where's the party going to be?" you ask.
"Of campus, definitely," Mina replies as she thinks aloud. "But we're not quite sure yet."
"I thought Sero came up with something. Guess we'll just have to go ask him," Hagakure adds.
Mina nods. "Good. That's one less thing for us to worry about. Come on, let's go ask."

my apologies for not sending a ask in a while. i look at your ask box but realize that i dont have to time to write one of my asks and when I do have the time, I forget to :/
I did get to plant my tulips yesterday! :D they're gonna hopefully grown into pretty white and red striped/red flowers in spring, it's a touch early for me to plant them bc as of right now it's September 23 and the recommended time to plant the bulbs is October and December.
Planting them also reminded me to properly bag the dirt and clean the pots from the summer plants that unfortunately died due to less sunlight over August and overwatering so I'll try to be careful to not do it.
I would try again some time but not now as I've learned my lesson in caring for 15 sprouts. There wasn't enough space on the window to fit them all and have them get sun
I did try to write the creature that I mentioned but it got too big for my scope and so it's not finished and I'm aware that I won't return to it for a time between tomorrow and never but I also wanted to share it with you
<><><> are cut offs that I didn't seamlessly translation to, they're stitches to each paragraph (also seams and stitches, like sewing and knitting. i call my writing style as scenes stitches together into one story)
----
As much as it doesn’t like the things that wander into its home. it also doesn’t want the young to simply die. it would be cruel, their death would have been a mistake. it doesn’t want something so young to die because of a simple mistake.
it presses on the small thing’s chest, like how it had seen it be done before, applying a light pressure with its knuckles.
Water began to spill out of their mouth, with some of it landing on it, that was good. Even if it had to deal with gross water until it can clean itself later, it means that the liquid is getting out so it presses against, just a tad bit harder.
the little thing began to jerk and struggle against its hold, coughing up more water. it chirped and clicked soothingly in a attempt to calm them down.
After several long and painful minutes where it clicked worryingly as the thing got rid of the water in their lungs. the little thing heaved up on last dribble of water then stopped. Stopped moving and went limped in its hold.
it shook at them, panicked and hoping that they haven’t died. The thing makes a whining noise and grabs at it’s fur and buries their face into it, this new position made it able to feel their breathing.
Good, that was good. it means that they’re still alive. it pretends that it doesn’t trill at the feeling.
What does it to do now? It didn't plan too far other than "save the child." Now it's stuck with a child that's already dozing off to sleep, not knowing where or how to find their parents, and if it did; There'd be a high chance it'll get attacked. Another thing to add on top of their problems was that it smelled.
It could obviously keep the kid, raise them as their own, but it knows it wouldn't be a good idea.
For one, it had no clue how to raise a child. The only experience it had was a small four legged animal, and all it did was toss some meat in their direction while hoping they'll leave. It doesn't even know what to feed them! Never mind that it didn't really want to, it entertained the thought but realized it wasn't for them.
So that means it'll have to think of another thing as it begins to walk away from the river with the child.
<><><><>
along the way, the youngling makes a bigger attempt at commutation as they walk. tiny chirps and sounds too familiar to the ones they heard before, but they don't seem to be malicious.
it indulges into the things fantasy, making clicks and chirps itself. snickering when they try to make the small complicated clicks and failing.
A loud noise erupts out of nowhere and it’s on high alert, an ear twitching to follow the sound. Rough, it recognizes the sound as being the ones from the things that try to kill it. That meant there was danger.
The sound came from the path ahead and was rapidly approaching, sounding like a distress call. It doesn’t take chances and possibly gamble with both of their lives so it scoops up the child, ignoring the yelp coming from the child and dashes up the branches.
it climbs not too high up, it couldn’t really. there was only so far it can move up with one of its limbs preoccupied. Still, it was just out of direct sight.
With a claw over the thing’s mouth to silence them. It waits, listening and watching the ground. Waiting to see what comes out.
The sounds of the wind, the stream, and small fast creatures running invades its hearing along with the sound footsteps coming closer. it growls at the extra information it doesn’t need, shakes its head to regain focus and zeros into the footsteps.
From
<><><><><>
A rock is pelted straight to its head, causing their grip on the branch to loosen as they hiss.
The parent fretted over their child and
it tilted its head to the side when the man turned to itself, speaking in a soft yet gruff tone, genuine unlike the many others who tried to fight against it. Strange but stranger still was when the youngling wiggled their way out of their father’s grasp and approached it with the same yellow flower.
they held up the small plant, clearly as an offering. even as the parent grabs onto the shoulder and tries to pull them back, the child is stubborn.
<><><><><>
it continues to see the child through the suns, always playing in the same spot. it doesn’t approach and keeps itself hidden from their view, it thinks that the kid could still them through the beaches they climb. a hunch based on the numbers of times the child looked in the same area they were hidden.
---
It truly a shame as I did want the father character to give the creature a cape of some sort as a gift for protecting his kid. I'd imagine that the creature wasn't 'born' persay but I'm too quite sure how it came to be (a curse would be fun but atlas it'll make way for even more world building and characters)
The creature by the end of the story is reviered as storytale creature. Something that little kids would believe in and that teens would scoff at and the adults would be split in the actuality.
After all, marks on trees can't couldn’t have come from a wolf or wild cat, it would be too high for the wolf and the marks deeper than what a wild cat can make. The clicks has to come from somewhere and no fabric is dyed that shade of orange. But they have to come from somewhere.
A throughout time sequence would be cool as well.
The creature, who is able to dodge the hunters and pass on as a old wives tale, still living even after the people upgraded to photography and guns and not just swords. The things they collect from people who had dropped them accidentally. The observations of how cameras work and to disable them as pictures and drawings were what drew to people to start hunting it.
It wouldn't be able to learn to understand language but it can be taught to do certain things. It's smart enough to learn things easily after witnessing a couple time.
Did it learn humanity? Well kinda, it learned from what it seen and how it preiceves things.
Small children who don't know better, chirps and short light sounds convey friendliness, images of itself means its known and has to hide.
Sometimes it doesn't care to learn certain things like fire, it could be useful to it but it only sees the desolation it leaves behind after a forest fire, the sticks that people use to try to locate it, cooked food seemed like a chore and not worth the effort.
Digging through something that is able to understand things in its own way with completely different biology, priorities, and experiences is cool I think.
And I haven't really thought about how it looks like...... whelp, the imagination of the audience can fill in the rest
-reblog mutal anon

Alondra… where do I even begin… nonviolent communication part 7 was absolutely incredible. As soon as I saw part 7 come out I literally planned my day around it so I could read it. The way you described the holiday season was so cozy, now I really can’t wait for the holidays to roll around! It’s nice to see that reader is progressing in her life in terms of healing from Peter- it’s still sad and bittersweet but I’m so happy she doesn’t feel so alone anymore. The little conversation with Miles’s parents was so heartwarming, and when they mentioned Miguel!! The fact they specifically asked for reader to bring him food and spend some time with him… they know what they’re doing. Oh and don’t get me started on when reader enters Miguels penthouse, seeing him in normal clothes for the first time, I mean just imagining Miguel in that chunky sweater and everything… so hot I mean… cozy (those arm veins tho…). I swear I was smiling at every little interaction reader and Miguel had- I mean their relationship is progressing and changing for the better. It was great to see Miguel and reader bond and get to know each other even more than before, even feeling more comfortable around each other. You just write Miguel so well, he’s so caring… but it makes me so sad because he’s lost so much. Your descriptions of Miguels world and little details like the holographic trees just add so much to the story, I just love all the effort you put into writing details like that. The ending too!!! I thought it would end bittersweet with reader leaving for the night but the fact we’re coming back for recalentado!! Phew… the slow burn… amazing Alondra, I always want to say more but then this would just be an essay about how much I love your writing. ✨
And thanks for always responding back to my asks too, I feel like I write way too much too sometimes, but I just got to let you know how much I appreciate and love each part that comes out. Your work always makes my day, and I’ve even drawn some fan art inspired by it. I love drawing and you’ve inspired me to draw Miguel even more ever since the movie came out (it’s a problem). Anyways, amazing job as always! ✨✨✨
Anon... I'm currently freaking out about the fact that you said you've drawn art inspired by it but I'm gonna add my thoughts on this at the end even though it's very hard because I'm freaking out (in a good way)!!
Okay, now that I've calmed down a bit, thank you for the kind words as always!! You're the sweetest!! 🥹
Regarding the reader and their life progressing in terms of Peter's death: me, too! I'm happy things are turning around for her after being alone for so long. And it's sad and bittersweet for me because I don't think Peter will be mentioned as much now and I've grown so fond over him despite being... you know, dead the entire time. Peter has really put me in my feels 😭!
MIles's parents definitely know what they're doing. You know that little look they shared... they see it. When I was writing that part I was thinking how they probably talked about reader's reaction later that night, and you know they definitely noticed reader didn't return to the party!
Miguel in normal clothes had me giggling and kicking my feet, not even going to lie lmao and the arm veins... I died. He sounded so cozy and huggable and hot and - I could go on but I'll be here all night and this man already lives rent free in my mind 24/7, I should probably not let it show online!
Their interaction in this chapter made me so happy even though I feel a little conflicted about it! I think we know by now reader is more open to having these moments and conversations but for Miguel this is much harder and him asking reader to stay for dinner was a big moment. I was worried it might be too quick of a move on his part but at the same time, in my head at least, Miguel is comfortable with reader even though he doesn't show it all the time, if that makes sense? So yeah, I was a little conflicted but I hope it didn't feel too out of character for him. And anon, I feel so sad for Miguel, too. I just want him to catch a break... and be happy.
And haha, the holographic trees were fun to think about! I actually did research on the comics to see if that was a thing but found nothing, so I just went with the idea lol thank you for showing it some love!!
And the end! I was going to go with what you said, reader just going home but - as I said - I was feeling emotional (thanks period) and selfish and didn't want to think of Miguel all alone on Christmas, so I decided to change the ending at the last minute and hoped it was still a believable thing our Miguel would do, which lowkey, I feel like Miguel would be okay with since he's realized reader is his friend now.
And please, don't thank me for responding to your asks!! As I said before, they always make my day!! I appreciate your thoughts and support very much🥹, so never hesitate to send them!
Now... back to the art... you cannot just drop that and expect me to be okay, anon!! If it's not too much to ask, would you mind sharing what parts have inspired you? I wish I could see and admire your art but I know you may not be comfortable with that, so I'd be happy just knowing the parts that inspired you, which I also want to add makes my heart leap with happiness!! It's an honor that the story has inspired you to draw fanart, truly!! ❤️ And I get what you mean by it being a problem! I recently got into drawing because of... Miguel. I'm in so deep, I don't think anyone can help me because I'm out here trying to learn and all I've drawn has been his face and eyes specifically (THEY ARE SO PRETTY!), so anon, I feel you. Miguel has so many of us on a chokehold, it's not funny!!
Thank you, as always, for the lovely words anon! I hope you don't mind the super long response. I appreciate you very much and hope you have a wonderful day/night!! ✨✨✨

do you think the buns will be okay after summer passes? (because of spring fever) and I hope you get well soonn
ah see spring fever already passed...
so here's what i (and my vet) think happened (in order):
Apollo and Leo are hit with spring fever while playing outside and start fighting heavily
( spring fever: when the seasons transition to spring, the time when animals usually go into heat. at this time, rabbits, both fixed and un-fixed, can behave oddly, getting into territorial fights and at times getting hurt )
we separate the bunnies for a short while (one in my room, the other roaming the house) at that time we didn't notice Apollo's injury
We notice Apollo's very serious injury (the hole in his ear, and other cuts that ended up being minor smaller holes)
we're advised to keep Apollo away from Leo, and vice versa, whilst he takes his medicine, all while both are still in their spring fever
spring fever deadline passes (typically 4 weeks)
Apollo finishes his medicine and gets the cone on his head off, and due to seeing the hole beginning to heal, I made the mistake of attempting to reconcile the bunnies
Apollo and Leo continue to fight like a cat and a dog
we continue to keep them both separated for another month
I discuss this with my vet about the situation and we come to the conclusion that their bond has broken (aka they not only broke up, but they also got a divorce)
*we are here at the moment*
so tl;dr : spring fever only kickstarted the fights, they actually broke up pretty badly and broke their bond
now to answer your question, no the weather will no longer have an effect on them at the moment. i was made aware that fixing a broken bond can either be very simple or very difficult, but either way of it does not work, it's because it can't be fixed period. in that case, it will become too dangerous of an environment for them both to stay in, and one will, unfortunately, have to leave.
i tried gentle proximity bonding, the way I originally bonded them, and that did not work. so, after a lot of research, I've begun stress-proximity bonding.
when done properly this won't hurt the bunnies don't worry.
essentially the plan is
- take the buns on a car ride whilst in the same carrier to create a temporary stress bond [✔︎] - create a very small enclosure in neutral territory and keep them with one another [✔︎] - do not intervene in small fights, allow them to resolve themselves and create the hierarchy [✔︎] - adjust size of the enclosure and add items as they grow closer (i.e litterbox, toys etc) [we are here]
*the reason for adding items later, they may grow territorial and fight over items such as letterboxes and toys. this will interfere with the possible bond with each other. once they are able to share the space with signs of bonding (grooming each other, sleeping) then they are more likely to share * why is stress bonding so hard?: it's usually a last resort type of method, and very difficult to do properly. most people put bunnies in a bathtub together or somewhere slippery to make them scared ad used to get hurt while fighting, creating a stress bond. but this is a horrible way to stress bond, and a horrible way to torture the bunny. the way it should be done is exposure of a small action that typically stresses a bunny out, such as a car ride or entering a new environment, for the to-be-bonded pair in a safe, small compartment. this creates a temporary stress-bond that causes the bunny to quickly understand that the second bunny is not a threat. after that it's best to create the proximity bond, as the bunny will be calmer in the situation
honestly its all really complicated and stressful, maybe that's why I got sick so easily,,, I'll get better soon and so will the buns!!!

Okay. Okay I think I've decided what I'm going to do.
In the future, Sent emails will contain emails I sent to myself of notes for completed writing projects (as in, I actually got the dang thing into the wild and don't need to reference those notes when writing anything else) and personal journal entries (I'll probably make those their own google doc later, but it's not necessary for the project at hand so to make things more manageable for myself I'm not going to try to do that right now).
Gmail drafts will be for WIPs only, not for anything completed. If I'm able to both start and finish a project in a short amount of time (by which I mean within like a few days or a week or maaaybe a few weeks), I'll work directly out of gmail drafts (possibly copypasting in other details from my WIP doc as necessary).
However, if I start a project in gmail drafts and end up letting it sit uncompleted for months, it'll get moved into my WIP doc. The reason being that the WIP doc can be organized so that I can search through specific sections and find out exactly what, if any, notes I have on a particular subject I wanted to write about. My current problem is that my gmail drafts have a ton of WIPs in them from a long time ago, and since they're disorganized I don't have a quick way to find all the notes I have on a particular subject. So I'm going to go, chronologically, through my current gmail drafts. Journal entries are going to have the date put in the subject line (important!!) and sent to myself. WIPs are going to be copypasted into my new WIP doc (probably loosely organized as I go, then organized more carefully once everything's in), then have the date put in the subject line and sent to myself.
Project ideas include video ideas.
I'll also have a look through the emails I've sent to myself before; I'm pretty sure every email I've sent about projects are for completed projects, but I'll check. I think I should be able to remember which things I've completed.
Other sources of WIP notes are: the files in my writing program (as stated earlier, I'll ignore unrelated files for now), the Drafts section of my Tumblr account, and at least one random piece of paper, which at some point I will find, transcribe into my WIP document, and mark that it's been transcribed somehow before filing it. (I'll do the same to my other random paper to-do lists if I ever decide I want to make a doc for them, but that would be a project for another time).
Okay, the last thing to make note of here is that, since I like preserving incomplete versions of things, I'll occasionally make new versions of my WIP doc if I'm changing it significantly. I'll copy the doc, which apparently is a feature on Google docs, yay (that'll save me from having to copypaste the entire thing), and put the date the docs were started and/or ended (specifiying if it's an ending or beginning date) in the title, along with a specific indicator if it's a no-longer-the-most-current version of the doc. The google docs I started last time (which I think were just directly copypasted from the writing docs) can just sit there, unless... did I add anything to them?? Dangit, now I'll have to check to be sure. Okay, adding that to the end of the list of places to check.
OKAY I think that's the plan; only other thing to note here is that the current purpose is NOT to make an exhaustive list of everything I want to comment on, just of everything I have notes for commenting on, so that if I get the urge to finish a particular project, I can easily check if I already wrote down any notes for it and find them if I did. This will VASTLY improve my productivity.
Alright I'm happy I got this typed out, even if it's not perfect XD

The brink of an AU
An AU I'm doing, you might've seen a bit of it, so here's a sneak peek!
-
Tommy's house is messy.
It is, that's just a fact. There's clothes everywhere, his bedsheets are halfway across the room, and he swears that in the mess he lost a goldfish.
But it's home. It's a mismatch of gifts and memories, thrown about in a way that spoke of their use.
His bed frame and mattress was actually a gift from a teacher at school, Mr Nook, who even helped set it up in his room. His blankets and pillows had been given to him by the nice shop owner down the street, Niki. They had little white crescents patterned around, with a sky blue backdrop.
Tubbo had given him a stuffed cow, which he called Henry. Tubbo always liked giving plushies as gifts. Ranboo liked getting him fidget toys, like rubix cubes and rings that spun.
Puffy, who had visited Niki's shop many times, had gotten him a mini fridge for his room. He already had a fridge, but puffy wanted to get him one to specifically hold his stash of candy bars and sodas. It didn't make sense to him at the time but he learned to love the convenience.
It kind of stung sometimes, that most of those people had yet to give him a hug. They wanted to- it was so obvious that they wanted to. Their ghosts would reach out, wrap him up and never want to let go. He watched hands twitch, yearning to hold his hand as they walked down streets. Time and time again, they stopped themselves. Every. Single. Time. And every time it hurt a little more.
Tubbo never hugged him because he denied himself human touch. Tubbo was always like that, saying he didn't want hugs, but it was his ghost that reached out the most.
Ranboo didn't hug him because he didn't want to overwhelm Tommy. Like he was worried it would scare Tommy. Like a frightened rabbit.
Everyone wanted to hug Tommy. They all want to protect him, and keep him safe, and give him gifts and wrap him up and never let go.
None of them went through with it.
And it hurt.
Tommy doesn't like his power.

Una noche perfecta - A Camilo Madrigal One Shot
Here's my second Camilo Madrigal One shot! If you want me to write more, feel free to send your ideas, for Camilo, or any other characters! Encanto or something else entirely!
Once again, 18+ DNI, Y/N and Camilo are minors!
He/him for Camilo. Unspecified/any for Y/N
That's all, here we go!
-----
In which you leave Camilo alone for 10 minutes and he manages to wreck havoc on his own face with your makeup. And yet you still manage to have a perfect night.
Pure fluff ❤️
-----
"Where are you going, mi vida?"
"I've got to go grab something, I'll be back muy pronto, just wait here!"
The curly haired boy pouted. He just got here, and you were already leaving him?
"¡Amor! Already? Why can't I just go with you?"
"10 minutes. Alright? Then we can spend as long as you wish together, ok amorcito?" You slip your purse over your head, walking over to your bed, to plant a kiss onto his cheek.
"If I could I'd spend forever with you." He reached out while saying this, grabbing your hands, kissing one.
"Don't be so cheesy," you giggle "besides we'd grow tired of each other and bite one another's heads off. Now stop pouting, the more you hold on, the longer I'll take." You run your hand through his hair before turning around towards the door.
"¡Adios mi sol, volveré pronto!" You turn to shout before you step out into town.
"¡Adios, mi flor!" He yells back, collapsing onto your bed the second he hears the door slam shut.
After only a few minutes, he grows bored, and begins to look around your room.
Resisting the urge to meddle with things he gets ready to return to his spot on your bed, before something catches his eye.
Something the mischievous boy couldn't resist.
---
"¿Mi amor?" You say with a bag of goodies in your arms as you open the door, peaking your head in.
"¡Ay! ¡Cariño! You startled me!" You catch a glimpse of yourself when you turn to the voice, before your novio shifts back to himself.
Or well. Himself with makeup caked across his face.
Mascara was smeared on his eyes, along with eyeliner and eyeshadow.
His cheeks were bright red, almost as red as his lips. You couldn't tell the natural blush from the powder he'd peppered across his nose.
"¿Dios mío, Camilo, what have you done?" You gasp, trying to hold in a laugh, and carefully set down the basket.
"Lo siento mi vida, I was bored and saw your makeup, and wanted to try to make myself as bonito como tú-"
"Ay, mi amor you're gorgeous on your own."
"Sí, I know. And I'm gorgeous now too. Do you see how good my lipstick looks? Muy lindo." He says, looking into the mirror, then back at you only to burst into a laughing fit.
You join in, struggling to keep yourself upright over the laughter. He looked ridiculous.
"¡Sí, mi hombre guapo!" You shout, kissing his nose. "And the colors make your eyes pop in such a way I've never noticed!" You jokingly add.
"Yes, they really compliment my natural tones! Wait... what's in that basket?" He says, finally noticing the small basket you brought in, sitting by your door. He sniffs the air, and a huge smile grows across his face.
The reason you'd gone out the second he arrived. The basket with pan très leches, and empanadas. You'd planned to get him some treats, in response to him spoiling you over the span of your relationship. you felt the need to do something extra sweet for your amor.
"Did you think I went out for nothing?"
"No, you clearly went out so I'd have time to do my face." As he says this, he flaunts his messy attempt at makeup once again. "How sweet of you!"
"No, tonto. It's something special I've prepared for you. " You say, heading back to the basket of delicious wonders. You begin to pull them out to show off.
"Are you an Angel?" He says, swooning over you. Or very possibly the food.
Originally you had planned a picnic a little outside of town for you both to go and spend the rest of the day, and enjoy the stars later on. However these plans quickly changed.
You set out the food you'd brought onto a blanket on the floor.
You guys sat, talking and laughing, eating the delicious food.
Once finished, you help Camilo clean up, gently whipping the mess off his face. Then you teach him how to properly apply make-up. He giggles a little Everytime you brush his face, tickling him. And when you push his hair out of his eyes? He practically melts into your hand. He even grabs and kisses it here and there when it's free.
Being so near to you filled him with warmth, which left him sighing every so often, or staring into those beautiful ojos of yours.
Finally, as the sun is setting, you head out into town, hand in hand, walking and giggling.
Randomly, he'd pull you close, and you'd hold tight, taking in his warmth. To follow he'd whisper something sweet into your ear, and you'd whisper right back.
Though things hadn't gone as planned it truly was una noche perfecta.

Bang Chan x reader; non idol AU; established relationship; fluff; midly suggestive at places
Word Count: 4.25k
A/N: A huge thank you to @youn9racha, for this super cute request. I am as much a sucker for road trips as I am for Chan, so I really enjoyed writing this!! I hope you like it as much as I did.
"Do you ever just want to pack your bags and run away in the night, without telling anyone?," you ask your boyfriend, Chan, as you both lay in bed one night. "That's an interesting question," he says, playing with your hair, "Though first I'd like to know what made you think of that." "Pfft. It's nothing too complex, Christopher. It's just a random thought that popped into my head," you say, while rolling your eyes at his inquisitive nature.
"Y/N, I know you, and I can sense that you've got something bothering that pretty head of yours, and making you want to run away. So tell me, what is it?," Chan speaks in a soothing tone, making you snuggle into his chest even more, while letting out a sigh. "It's just, work has been so crazy these past few days, and the pressures of the real world are getting to me. You remember when we were back in college? Whenever things got too hard, we used to go on road trips to clear our heads. Even a couple days away from the harsh real life were enough to rejuvenate us. I guess I just miss those times, now that real life responsibilities are wearing us down."
Once you're done with your little rant, Chan pulls your head up a little, making you look at him. He softly says, "Aww baby, I'm so sorry I didn't realize you've been struggling these past few days. I guess I've been too busy with my own work tonoticee. I know we're no longer in college, but I promise to you, that whenever the going gets tough, I'll do everything in my ability to help your through." "I know Channie, I know. I have you, and it's more than enough."
You give in to sleep after a while, and so, you fail to notice that Chan takes a little longer to fall asleep that night. He keeps thinking back on what you said earlier, carrying out an internal debate with himself. "Y/N is right. Work and responsibilities have taken a toll on us, and a road trip may be just what we need. But can we really afford to just 'run away?' There are too many projects, too many commitments. And we owe it to our colleagues to tell them that we will be away for a few days," he thinks to himself, before slowly drifting off to dreamland.
The next morning brings with itself a fresh hustle, but your face doesn't betray any sign of the frustrations you let come to the surface last night. But Chan knows better, and, seeing his reflection while getting ready for work, he realizes that his own expression mirrors yours. A thin veil to hide the fact that it's getting too much. At his office that day, he can't seem to focus on his work, since his mind keeps drifting back to your words. By the time the evening rolls around, he has made up his mind. He's going to run away with you, for a week anyway.
But a road trip needs some planning, and Chan wants this vacation to be the perfect little surprise for you. So, on his way home, he stops by at the convenience store to buy some essentials. Instant noodles, a few bottles of beer, disposable utensils, rental DVDs, he collects quite a few things, being reminded of your college days with each item he adds to his cart. In a moment of impulse, he even purchases a tent fit for two, and once he's done shopping, he hides everything in the boot of his car. You don't need to know of his plan, yet.
The following day, he leaves his office early, calling in a week's leave of absence due to some made-up reason. Instead of going home, he first drops by at your office. Not to meet you, but to get a similar application for leave approved on your behalf.
He finally heads back home to pack and ready a couple of things for your trip. "Y/N wanted to run away in the middle of the night, and that is what we'll do," he smiles to himself. When you come home, he remains tight-lipped about his little surprise for you, even though his excitement is trying to get the best of him.
Once the clock strikes twelve, he brings you out to his car, without telling you the reason. "Just please, come on! Don't you trust me?," he says, pouting. On his way out of the house, he picks up your phone from the couch, along the house keys. You don't notice this, however, as you're busy pestering him with questions. "Chan, why are we going out so late at night? What's going on? Tell me!" "You wanted to run away, right? Well, how about running away...... to the convenience store?," he smiles cheekily, making you giggle. "Gosh you're such a cheesy idiot," you say, getting into the car, still blissfully unaware of his intentions.
"Yeah, but I'm your cheesy idiot," he laughs, pressing his foot on the accelerator.
It doesn't take you long to realize that instead of driving over to the 24/7 close to your house, Chan has pulled onto the highway. You turn to look at him, only to see him smiling brightly, his eyes trained ahead. "Chan, what are you doing?," you ask, though feel like you already know the answer. "Running away with you," he says, taking your hand in his his, and bringing it up to his lips.
"What? But that was just a random rant! And what about work? We can't just disappear like that," you exclaim, to which, he only replies by giving you a knowing look. "Let me guess, you already informed our offices?" "Yes, and no," he quips. When you look at him quizzically, he elaborates, "I submitted applications for leave, making up some random excuse. So we have a whole week to ourselves." "But, what about essentials and supplies? We don't have anything to eat," you try to reason. He counters, "Babe, I've been planning this for two days, and I already stocked up on all our favourite snacks, drinks, and movies. I even got us a tent for days we want to sleep out in the open. I've got it all set, so don't you worry. The only thing I need you to do is to promise me that for the next seven days, you won't check your phone. I've already downloaded tons of songs and created at least 20 different playlists. You won't be getting any work-related messages, since I've taken care of that as well, and for directions, we'll take the traditional way, and ask around."
"Directions? Where exactly are we going anyway?," is your next question. To your surprise, he simply shrugs, before telling you that he doesn't have any specific place in mind. "Let's just wander away, going wherever the road takes us," he says, rather poetically, to which, you can't help but laugh. You then let out a soft sigh, making him look at you. "Sounds like a plan to me. Chan and Y/N, running away together, with no destination in mind," you smile, before reaching over and kissing his cheek.
"Let's play some music, shall we?," you ask, before hitting shuffle on the first playlist that pops up on your phone. You both settle in a comfortable silence, and soon enough, you begin to get drowsy. Chan notices this, and tells you to rest your eyes for a bit. "Promise to wake me up in like, two hours, so that I can take over the wheel," you yawn. "Okay fine bub, now sleep." Chan continues driving, occasionally stealing glances at your sleeping form. "How did I get so lucky?," he wonders, just like he does every day.
Morning finds you to be the one behind the wheel, as Chan naps contently in the passenger seat. The brightness of the sun finally wakes him up, and he realizes that you've left the highway, and are now driving through what appears to be the countryside. "I wonder where we're headed," he says while yawning. "Well, a signboard I saw earlier told me that we are somewhere in Jeonju," you reply. Instead of words, Chan's reply comes as a grumbling from his stomach. "Hungry," you quip, making him nod his head vigorously. You hit the breaks, before preparing some instant ramen for breakfast.
You eventually continue on your trip, and after a few hours, you find yourself in the midst of traditional Korean buildings, which seem to be from the Joseon dynasty. "Is this perhaps a tourist location?," wonders Chan loudly, making you reply, "Only one way to find out." You both get out of the car and do some asking around. You find out that the place where you houses the residences of the noblemen of old, and has now been converted into a shooting-cum-tourist spot. "Tourists can get traditional hanboks from that store, to complete the experience," an old woman tells you.
You turn to look at Chan, your eyes shining. Twenty minutes later, you exit the store, dresses from head to toe in a light blue hanbok. Chan's eyes nearly pop out when he sees you, and when he tells you the same, you can't help but blush.
You continue to hang around the place little while longer, and have dinner at a small eatery nearby.
"I feel like I'm 20 again. Thank you Channie," you say, holding his hand across the table. "Anything for you love," he winks.
Evening eventually comes around, and you guys hit the road once again. Around dinner time, you notice that you are crossing by a wood and supplies shop, and an idea strikes your mind. "Let's buy some wood and grill our meat!," you say excitedly, making Chan coo at how adorable you are. "Great idea babe. Let me park."
You quickly exit the car and visit the shop to buy some wood, then get started on your mini bonfire. It proves to be more difficult than you had thought, given how inexperienced the both of you are. In the end, you manage to get the fire going enough for the meat to be grilled, and turn around to ask Chan to bring in the eatables, when you see his face. It's completely covered in soot from his failed attempts at lighting the flame, making you double over in laughter. "You look so funny," you say while gasping for air. "Wouldn't be so funny if I got this soot on your face now, will it?," he retorts, coming after you. You try to run, but it's obviously in vain, as Chan grabs hold of you in under a minute. You both laugh harder than you have in months, and when you finally calm down, you give your boyfriend a tight hug. He hugs you back, and whispers, "I love you." "I love you too, Channie," you say, "Now go and get the meat, I'm hungry." "Way to ruin the moment, Y/N," he grumbles as you push him away.
After dinner, you walk up to the shop owner to thank him, and ask his permission to camp nearby. "It rained a few days ago, so the ground is still wet, and will be uncomfortable. But you can rent a room here for the night if you'd like," he offers. "That'll be great sir, thank you for the help." Chan says, coming up behind you. The shop owner gives you the keys to a room, and before leaving, says something that leaves you both red at the ears. "No funny business here, please. I know you both are young, and controlling yourself is hard. But I'd rather you didn't 'play around' unnecessarily on my bed."
You get changed and climb into the bed, snuggling up to each other. "First day down, babe," you smile with your eyes closed. When Chan doesn't reply, you open them, only to find your man staring at you with love in his eyes. "This is pure healing for me, thank you for suggesting this trip, love," he says. You talk about anything and everything for a while, and then suddenly, you feel Chan's soft lips pressing against yours. He gives you a sweet kiss, and pulling away, says, "About what the old man said earlier.....," while smirking. You shove his chest, saying, "We shouldn't," making him pout. "Although, making out doesn't count as 'funny business,' does it?" And that's enough to make him press his lips back to yours, moving so as to hover over you.
You wrap your arms around his back, pulling you closer to him. He licks your lower lip, making you part your lips and allowing his tongue to enter. After a while, you break away, only to grab his T-shirt and take it off his body, before wrapping your hands around his bare back. Needless to say, the two of you didn't get much time to sleep that night.
You get started on your way again the next day, and around mid-day, you see a milestone telling you that you are entering Iksan. The small town seems a lifetime away from your hectic lives in Seoul, and you spend the day going from shop to shop, buying small trinkets and stuff that are reminiscent of the country life. The residents welcome you with open arms, and more than once, you find an old couple telling you how cute you look together.
"He's a keeper, that one. Don't let him go," a lady says to you, pointing at Chan, who can be seen playing with some kids. "I won't," you smile.
That night, you stay over at a family's house, who were nice enough to allow you to sleep on their futon. You have dinner with them, during which the kid's ask Chan, "Are you two married?," making him choke on his food. "I'm sorry for that, they are learning about families and marriage in school these days," says their mother. "It's all right," you smile, "But no, we aren't married." "But do you plan on getting married soon?," the kids persist.
You and Chan look at each other and smile, before saying in unison, "Yes. One day."
The next morning you take the wheel from Chan, and the both of you drive of in silence, as High School Musical plays on your dashboard screen. After a while, you say, "What is it, Channie? You've been staring at me," "It's just that, you seem way too quiet. You've been like that since last night, after dinner," he replies, "What's the matter? Are you okay?" "I'm fine, just been thinking." "About?" "About us," you begin, elaborating when you see him looking at you expectantly. "When those kids asked us if we were married, it got me thinking.....I love being with you, I love waking up next to you. We live together any way, and share all the burdens that come with it too. So I guess...getting married to you wouldn't be so bad after all," you say softly.
"Is this your way of proposing to me?," giggles your boyfriend. "What? No! I mean, I did say it would be nice to get married, but I don't have a ring right now. And I meant it when I said 'one day,' but it's not today," you hurriedly say. Chan bursts out laughing at this, "I know love, I'm not ready yet either. But yes, if I have to get married, I'd rather marry you than anyone else."
Around noon, you decide to set up camp in a forest clearing. It takes you a few hours to get the tent up and ready, as you keep getting delayed because you can't stop fooling around. Amid Chan getting himself wrapped with the tent instead of unwrapping it, and you assembling the rods the wrong way up, you spend some not-so-productive, but enjoyable quality time in each other's presence, something you didn't know you had been craving for.
Evening rolls by, and you have a light dinner with ramen, some roasted chicken, and beer, following which, you lay down on a picnic mat, with your head on Chan's arm. "The stars look so beautiful, don't they Channie?," you softly ask. "Not as beautiful as you," he says cheesily, making you hide your face into his side. "But yeah, you're right. I really wanted to go stargazing with you, but we never got the time," he sighs. "I'm so happy we came on this trip, love." You open your mouth to speak, but just then, you notice a star shooting across the sky. "Channie! Channie get up, it's a shooting star!," you squeal, before closing your eyes and praying. Once you open them, you notice Chan looking at you with a gaze full of love. "Didn't you wish for something?," you ask. "I did," he smiles. "But what about you? What did you wish for?"
"Come closer Mr. Bang, I'm not about to announce my wish to the whole world," you whisper slyly. He leans in closer to you, only to have you say, "You don't tell others what you wished for," before pressing a sweet kiss to his lips. He smiles into the kiss, before breaking away and hugging you tight.
The next day turns out to be the last before you have to turn back homeward, and so, Chan suggests you make the best of it. "From what I know about the country's geography, we should be close to a beach somewhere here," he says, making you look at him with your eyes shining. "Too bad we're not going to get help from the GPS, but I'm really enjoying the phone detox," you smirk. "Who needs GPS when we've got people? Look there, we're gonna enter a city soon, so let's ask our way around," he replies. An hour and a half later, you come across a milestone that tells you the beach is a mile away. Once there, you look for a deserted spread of sand, keen on not getting stuck in an unnecessary crowd. "We face enough of that in the city, I just want to be alone with you," you whisper, taking his hand in his.
When you finally succeed in finding such a place, Chan giggles, "Good thing I packed our swimming gear as well, right?" "You did well sweetie," you say, booping his nose softly. After getting changed, you spend the next few hours playing in the water. Suddenly, Chan pulls you flush into his chest, and whispers in your ear, "You look so hot wearing that, and with water dripping down your body, I'm really finding it hard to stay away." "Then don't," you say, biting your lip. One thing leads to another, and you're thankful for the changing shack nearby.
By the time the sun starts to set, Chan has pulled you out of the water, and is making you dance with him on the sand, after bringing your phones and portable speaker from the car. Waltzing to the music, you shyly say, "I love you Channie," making him blush and reply with an "I love you too, my cute baby."
After dinner you climb atop the roof of your car, talking about your younger days. "You remember when we got into a huge fight once, back in college? And I was about to break up with you, only to have you whisk me away on a road trip, just like you did this time," you say, laying your head on his shoulder. "It did get you to stick around with me though," he replies, laying his chin on your head. "And you remember how we first met? You spilled your latte all over my T-shirt, and then took me to the infirmary to check for any burns," he reminds you, making you throw your head back in laughter. "You kept whining for a year over how you missed out on being the 'campus heartthrob' because of that incident, when in reality, you still were the most popular freshman," you jab a finger at his chest, smiling.
"Okay, I've got a secret. I wasn't actually sad about the campus heartthrob thing, since I already knew everyone was head over heels for me," he grins, making you punch his arm. "Hey! Let me finish first. I knew everyone loved me, but I only had eyes for you. And whining was just a tactic to get you to feel sorry for me and go on a date with me." You fake gasp at this, exclaiming, "Treachery! And here I thought you were genuinely sulky about that. do you have any idea how guilty I felt that whole year?!" When he simply states at you, unamused, you add through a pout, "I'm planning on revoking your cuddle privileges."
All of a sudden, you realize that Chan is moving over to lay on top of you, trapping you between him and the roof. "You know you can't resist me, babe. So don't even try," he says. "You are right about that," you say, pulling him for a kiss.
You both end up remaining awake till dawn the next day, and decide to start on your journey home around mid-way, after having napped inside the car for a few hours. You get started on your way just after noon, with Chan behind the wheel, and you eating (and feeding him) from a packet of gummy bears in the passenger seat. You re-enter the city you had seen earlier the previous day, and decide to spend some time roaming around. It's a fairly big city, but still much quieter and more peaceful than Seoul. You pass on visiting the mall, reasoning that you do so too frequently back home.
Soon enough though, you come across a store that displays a signboard saying, "Free wine tasting session for couples." You both look at each other, and with a smirk, Chan says what is on your mind. "Can't pass up on sophisticated wine for free now, can we?" You giggle and say, "Nope, absolutely not." And so, in you go. The session proves to be equal parts fun and educational. From the Chardonnay to the Pinot Noir, you go through with the tasting of at least 20 different types of wines. While you actually stick to the literal meaning of the word "tasting," drinking no more than a sip per drink, Chan goes all out, and not too long after, he's totally drunk. "Hey there beautiful, mind telling me your name?," he tries to act smooth with you, making you facepalm as you say, "I still get surprised about how low your alcohol tolerance is for your size," you shake your head.
Once you leave the tasting, half dragging, half carrying a wasted Chan who continuously tries to flirt with you, you decide to take the wheel and hit the road to the outskirts of the city, and cover the remainder of the trip once you're fully sober. When you cross over the city's borders and re-enter the road in the wilderness, you hit the brakes. You let Chan sleep, knowing that waking him up will only give him a hangover. Getting out of the car, you get yourself something to eat from the boot, and once you're full, you snuggle up to him, throwing a blanket over the both of you.
You wake up around nine at night, and as you had predicted, you see Chan holding his head in agony. You nurse him for while, before putting him back to sleep, then continue down the road. You keep sneaking glances at his sleeping form, smiling to yourself when you notice how peaceful he seems, something he hasn't looked like in ages. "We really needed this. Thank you for always knowing what I need, and for always taking care of me. I love you," you thank him silently.
When he finally wakes the next morning, he sees you huddled up in the driver's seat, and he can feel his heart swell with love for you. He gets out of the car, then picks you up and softly places you on the backseat so that you can rest well. Looking at your expression, he can easily see how content and truly happy you are. You are his reason to keep going, and if this little getaway idea of his could help you find your reason to keep going (unbeknownst to him, he himself is your reason to endure too), his heart is at ease. Sure, your week off is going to end soon, but he's positive that you will have rejuvenated yourself and would have gathered enough beautiful memories to last you a while.
Sure, going back to Seoul would mean going back to the hustle and bustle of your lives, but hey, he knows that that you by his side, he'd be ready to run away from home again any day, because his home is with you. But even more than that, he knows that with you by his side, life will be just a tad bit easier. Because you will always be there to remind him of who he was back in college. You will keep the young, carefree boy who loved you to bits, alive in him. And he'll do the same for you. And with that thought, he drives off into the distance, back to where you started from, with a smile on his face.
Because at the end of the day, you both have each other, and that's all that matters.

Blaise Zabini
“A what, now?” your boyfriend asks, halting the movements of his quill to look up at you; brows furrowed as if it’s the most absurd thing he has ever heard in his entire life.
“You know, those wiggly things that—”
“I know what worms are, (y/n). But what the hell?”
“Dunno,” you shrug. “I’m bored.”
“So you thought about what it’d be like to turn into a worm?” his eyes narrow out of pure bewilderment, blinking once, twice, as he finally turns back to his unfinished essay. “Sometimes I wonder what goes on in that head of yours.”
“Not my fault you’re taking so long with that assignment,” you grumble as you begin to shift on the puffy couch, feeling somewhat annoyed by how cold and empty it is without the other boy in it. “And besides, you love me.”
An amused chuckle escapes his lips. “Can’t say that I don’t.”
“Even as a worm?”
“Will you stop asking if I said yes?”
You nod happily, giving him the answer he needs— or well, wants, really. Even though Blaise couldn’t quite understand the pointless question, he knows it’s significant to an extent.
“Yeah, alright. I would. Now give me five minutes and we can get out of here. Deal?”
A glint of satisfaction flashes through your eyes as you give him a hum in return, thinking to yourself that maybe the silly questions could be more useful than you thought.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Cedric Diggory
The moment the words leave your mouth, Cedric's first reaction is to laugh. He didn't mean for it to come out in a condescending way. He hadn't even meant to laugh, to begin with. But judging by the way you pout with both arms crossed, that might just have been how it came accross.
"I'm sorry," he offers sheepishly. "you were saying?"
"You heard me. I said what I've said," you grumble, despite not being genuinely upset at the hufflepuff boy you've grown to love.
"Wait, I need to get this straight," he takes another breath of air. "You're serious?"
"What do you think?" you pout once again, turning away slightly from your boyfriend. This only seems to ignite his amusement as much as it does his guilt. A second or two later, his arm finds its way around your shoulder, the other brushing a few strands of hair behind your ear.
"You really haven't figured it out yet?" he asks with a genuine grin on his face. You begin to eye him curiously, appreciating the charm of his pearly white teeth as you wait for the boy to go on. Soon, he pulls you into his lap where his arms craddle you lovingly.
"Sunshine," he begins. "I'm surprised you still have to ask. But if that's one way of putting my love for you, then yes. You'd be my favorite worm in the entire world."
"Promise?" you present your pinkie finger as a final means to seal the deal.
With one last chuckle, he wraps his fingers around yours. "Promise."
Everything that happens next is a flurry of innocent pecks and kisses planted along your skin, coupled with the security of two warm arms holding you in place.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Draco Malfoy
"And what exactly do you expect me to say to that?" comes his first response after a long moment of trying to figure out just how in Merlin's name your mind came up with that question.
You, on the other hand, can't help but giggle at the slytherin boy's confusion. "Whatever's on your mind right now will do."
"Well, to be honest with you, I can't quite stomach the idea of my own girlfriend turning into a bloody worm." he nearly spits the words out, softening his edge only when your eyes meet once again. "If you were expecting a different answer, I suggest moving on to the next bloke."
Draco wasn't lying about that first bit. Worms have always been an insignificant, unseen creature in his world; wiggling in the muckiest of places where they could easily be stepped on. Hence, he doesn't like to imagine you—someone so perfectly ethereal and quintessential in every single way; the only source of light shining into his pathetic excuse of a life—to be compared to a dirty worm, of all things.
"That doesn't mean I don't love you, though," he adds in a bit of a guilty tone; voice much, much softer this time. He brings your hand to his lips, dropping a few kisses on its skin. "I just much prefer having you as you already are."
You snuggle deeper into him, indicating that you already know exactly what he means.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Fred Weasley
“A worm!” Fred exclaims, nearly forgetting the food on his plate altogether. "What a brilliant idea!"
A few seats away, you can already see Ginny clamping her mouth shut as to not burst into fireworks of laughter. You mirror her gesture, eyes now on Fred once again, watching him announce this idea of yours to your entire group of friends.
Ron, who's not that thrilled to see his brother's public displays of affection, lets out a groan. "Wouldn't have asked him that if I were you."
"You think so?" comes your reply. "He seems to be having a lot of fun with this." you both glance at Fred, who is indeed already coming up with some sort of thrilling plot.
"Did you hear that, George?"
"Sure did, Fred."
"I reckon we could come up with a potion for that," he muses, turning back to look at you. "Give me a week or two and we can start living out that worm dream of yours, love."
"Wait, Freddie, you're getting it all wrong," you begin explaining, tugging on the boy's sleeve slightly to keep his attention on you, "It was just a silly little question. I don't actually plan on turning into a worm or anything like that."
At this point, you half expect his enthusiasm to die down from the grounding effect of your words. In reality, it doesn't.
"S'that so?" he replies, earning a nod from you. "Looks like you're missing the bigger picture to me, (y/n). Isn't that right, George?"
"Right you are, Fred." the said boy affirms. "Sorry, (y/n). I'm with him on this one."
With a sigh, you turn back to Ron, who's busily stuffing his mouth with a look on his face that says I told you so. You shake your head with a small smile at your boyfriend's shenanigans. You're not sure how you can both dread and anticipate the day of his worm adventures.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━
George Weasley
"That's a new one," he asserts with an amused laugh. The boy rests his head against one of his palms, feeling instantly intrigued by your proposition. "Now tell me more about this worm business of yours."
"That's about it, actually." you admit sadly.
George frowns at this, wishing he could hear more worm stories and whatnot. Mostly he's just happy to see the way you talk about things passionately. Makes him feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside in a way he can't ever get enough of.
"That's quite alright. I'll do the talking, then." he offers, rubbing his chin to think of what to say next. You light up in your seat, eyes wide in anticipation. Now it's your turn to eagerly wait for his response once again.
"I've got an idea. We could run off and start a new life— as worms!" he beams all of a sudden. You raise a brow for him to go on, not exactly complaining about your boyfriend's excitement towards the topic. "I'm only turning into a worm to make sure I can properly take care of you, of course. Wouldn't want to—er—squash you between my big human fingers, now do we?"
You both erupt into a chorus of laughter at the conjectured image, melting into one another like two fitting puzzle pieces. When you finally catch your breath again, you pose the main question once more, "So I'm concluding you're still going to love me, then?"
"Love you?" he repeats. "Oh darling, I'll be marrying you in a grand worm wedding!"
You can't hold back the gasp that escapes your lips, more than thrilled to have the first mention of marriage between you. Not too long after, you transform into a complete fit of giggles when George continues. "Then we'll happily live our worm lives, 'till death do us apart. Or when, you know, some bloke accidentally steps on us. Whichever comes first."
You lean into him lovingly to steady yourself after all the laughing. Taking a deep breath in, you mumble a soft, "You always know how to make me laugh, Georgie."
And the truth is, he wouldn't have it any other way. Worms or not.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Hermione Granger
"I'm sorry, I don't think I understand the point of this question."
"Which part, exactly?" you inquire, watching your girlfriend pull out another book from the wooden library shelves.
A few seconds pass before you get your answer. "You're not a worm," she states simply, eyeing you up and down as if to prove her point.
"Yes, thank you for pointing that out, 'Mione," you follow her to the next section. "Which is why I said if I turned into a worm."
The girl looks at you again, analyzing your words and expression briefly before coming to another conclusion. "I still don't understand." she pauses to think. "Unless you might be interested in becoming an Animagus? Even then, opting for a worm wouldn't be very... effective."
You roll your eyes, speeding up to block the girl's way. She lets out a non-committal "Hey!", only for you to quickly muffle it with a warm kiss. A moment or two later, you pull away with a smirk that makes her heart melt. "Just answer the question, would you?"
Still slightly caught off guard from the contact, Hermione finally caves in. "Alright, you cheeky flirt. I love you. Even as a notional worm."
Satisfied with her answer, you plant another peck— this time on her cheek, before announcing a gentle "I love you, too."
━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Harry Potter
The way his lips purse into a straight line tells you that Harry doesn't exactly understand the question. Not really, at first. Aside from being an entirely foreign concept to his ears, it also seems like an odd thing to ask someone, unless— "Oh! You're an Animagus!"
The smile on your face instantly drops at this. "What? No—"
"Why didn't you just say so, (y/n)?" he begins what—at the time—you don't know is going to be a nearly endless ramble. "I was planning on telling you this for a while now, but I know someone who's an Animagus, actually. In fact, I think you two would get along fantastically!" he lights up at the sudden idea, flailing his arms in the air out of excitement. "Yes, maybe I can try getting the both of you to meet up. No promises, of course, but what do you think?"
"I think you've got it all wrong," you frown; knowing you would have to disappoint your boyfriend and how you're not very fond of the idea.
"What do you mean?" he asks, albeit barely giving you a second to reply. "(y/n), it's alright, really. You know you don't have to hide yourself from me. Besides, I think it's brilliant!— what you can do, I mean."
The smile he gives you is the epitome of love itself, and now you're not quite sure how to handle the messy situation without pulling out the rug underneath Harry's feet. All you can do is squeeze his shoulder with a guilty smile, promising to talk about it again after dinner.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Luna Lovegood
"Of course. Worms are lovely, don't you think?" she says with a dreamy smile. You gape at how easily the answer could be pried from your girlfriend; no questions asked. But then again, it's not like you hadn't expected this exact outcome already.
"Really?"
"Mhm," comes her gentle hum as she begins to stir her honeyed chamomile tea. A soft smile stays glued on her features, as if she's enjoying the conversation. "What kind of worm would you like to be, (y/n)?"
"I haven't really thought about it that far," You admit. "Are you sure, though? We won't be able to hold hands or anything like that."
You can't tell if you had just imagined the almost-frown tugging on her lips, because when she looks back up at you again, her sweet signature Luna smile is back in its place. "I suppose you're right. But I could carry you around everywhere with me. Wouldn't that be lovely?"
"It would be," you nod. "but can a worm even fit into that pocket of yours?" you question, noticing how hers are stuffed with unknown items; blades of grass sticking out ever so slightly. Flowers, perhaps.
"Oh, there's nothing to worry about. See?" she pulls out a couple of daisies and fairy foxgloves to reveal a now empty pocket. "Now, would you like some tea?"
You eagerly join her on the table, snuggling against your girlfriend ever so slightly as you both begin to talk about your day. The entire worm ordeal is slowly slipping out of your mind already.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Neville Longbottom
Neville stops in his tracks at your question, taking a moment to toss the idea back and forth in his mind before he can give you a proper answer. You nearly giggle when his face scrunches up, brows knit and lips parted as he innocently asks, “But why would you turn into a worm?”
"Neville, love, no. It's a hypothetical question."
His entire body relaxes at this, releasing what you assume is a breath of relief. "Oh. I thought you were being serious for a moment there."
You shake your head with a giggle, taking a step closer to adjust the scarf around your boyfriend's neck. "I'm just curious is all. Would you still love me, then?" you ponder.
"Yes! Of course!" comes his instant reply, hands balled up into fists that match the determination on his face. "I would get you a nice worm house with all your favorite flowers in it," he bends one of his gloved finger inwards, beginning to keep count of this hypothetical to-do list. "Would you still be able to have human food? Well, either way, I promise to feed you every single day!"
He pauses, only for a second or two. "Oh! And I'll sing you worm songs! Or maybe we can sing them together? I don't know if you would still be able to talk as a worm though."
You swiftly pull him into an affectionate hug, effectively bringing his rambling—as well as the entire worm topic—to an end. His hands sheepishly find their home around your waist, where he places them softly as if it's his first time hugging you. After all the months of being together, it certainly isn't.
"What was that for?" he dares himself to ask, avoiding your eye contact shyly.
"For being the most loving and adorable boyfriend I could ever ask for," you lean in to plant a soft, gentle kiss on his cheek. You don't miss the way he pulls up his scarf to hide the blossoming blush afterwards.

Hi there! :) first of all I wanted to say that your blog is amazing! You made me fall in love with RinHaru/HaruRin all over again and even harder than before. (I want to add I was in highschool when I watched it 1st time and here I am 8 years later with all those feelings all over again) I thought this ship was only my wishful thinking tbh… too good to be true and I was kinda afraid to dream about them as canon. But here you are with whole your knowledge and facts telling us „there is nothing to be afraid child, it happened here and here and here ect.” And now im a believer 🥲 thank you for that, i mean it.. Also I ve got a question(s): 1. Where are you gonna watch part 2? It wont be aired in any cinema in my country, I have no info where it could be streamed.. is there any chance I could watch it on the premiere day? (Im wiling to pay rly) 🥺 2. Arent you a little scared to see in this new movie something like Haru berfriending with Albert instead of solving his problem with Rin? I really wish for them to happy ending but cant help be a little wary about this.. 3. I was digging in you blog rly to find more and more things about them being canon, and im still so surprised there is so many content (OFFICIAL content may I add), I also read your ffs and here is my last question. Are you planning on writing something like their whole history behind the scenes? Like you ve got this all knowledge, its just asking for being written like one big love story… im sure it wont be easy and all, and im not asking you to (god forbid) im just wondering if you ever considered this? (Curiosty) ~thank you for reading this message 💕
Omggggggg hello 😭😭😭 Thank you so so much for such lovely ask and taking your time to write all this holy shiiit thats the sweetest thing, it made my day!!!!! I'm gonna cry fr! AAAAAAAAAAAAA and I'm so happy I made you fall even more for them too hehe that was the evil plan, so you could suffer along with me ;)))
1. Ah I also live in a place where such things will be never be shown in theaters :( Same as with part 1 I'm at first gonna wait for my rh friends from other countries to share the experience, then someone will sneak me an illegal theater footage in DMs, then I'll wait for official release without itching too much lmao. Sadly that's the only option xD It worked so far with p1 :)
2. Not really, bc I'm 100% sure its gonna be a very very happy ending, since I mean, Free is very obvious in this aspects, its all about friendship and love prevailing, along with joy for swimming, freedom of life and love and etc. It never disappoints in that aspect and pretty classic. And since its the grand finale and seeing what they're doing, whats the 2nd part called, all the promotional things and everything, it for sure has to be a letter of love for the whole journey (p1 was already), so I'm not worried about Albert really. I mean, as I've said before, he's not even as much of a character as he is a tool to explain Haru's internal struggles, since this Albert metaphor was used even for Haru's childhood. He is literally there to push forward the trauma and make it all resurface, otherwise it would've stayed hidden. The whole s3 and the 1st part of the movie was the base to dig into the rinharu problem that was hanging there since the very beginning, so there's no way the ending isn't the resolve.
The only worry I have really is about it not be... satisfying enough, to say. Because for obvious reasons, I have exteremely high hopes now after certain things and I have no intention of lowering them and the end of april is very soon, so I'm a little bit worried xD But I really hope they'll go all out since I don't see what they have to lose really lol
So like I'm absolutely sure the ending is gonna be very happy, but.. is it gonna be happy for my ass? Idk haha. I mean, to me for Haru and Rin to be truly happy, they have to be together, so... soo,,, xD (I'm here ready for the disappointment haha I'm kidding but u know what I mean).
Rationally speaking I'm pretty sure Rin is gonna get his medal, Haru would defend the honor of the water and clear it from Alberto, everyone (but mainly Rin) will play a role into bringing him back and his joy of swimming back by telling how much he means to them and what his swimming brought into everyone's lives, Rin will prove that he's not going anywhere etc etc. and all is gonna be fine. But I still think that like.. I dont wanna be that person, but I really think that after everything and their dreams of getting there, they deserve to be together together. This whole show's implication is that from that one moment in life they just simply couldn't be happy without each other. So no swimming, medals or anything would satisfy their soul really. Not to mention that it really reminds me of one canon couple that had the same problem and one also had this trauma about the other one leaving, but as soon as they started dating, it was all fine and he was like "well now that you're mine, u can go whatever lol".
I just never felt that for Haru it was only about his abandonment issues since his Rin problem prevails over everyone else even tho he's not technically the closest person to him. That means its just mainly not about that. Bc if you see other examples of him mooving on from someone, it's suddenly all okay. Like first time Rin left they didn't even know each other for that long to be that affected just cause his issue, if you know what I mean xD So like... the happy ending for him would be... you know...
And I just think it'd be super cool if they finally brought to a conclusion their point about the main metaphor of the show of what it means for these two "to be free".
3. :O I haven't even considered it, honestly mainly bc I can't call myself much of a writer, bc those fics are usually smth like "GOD PLS SMB I CAN:T WAIT I NEED SMTH FIX THIS" LMao brain won't calm down things, I'm not sure I can actually sit down and write like long quality shit and be very dedicated. Although out of all the ships I have, it certainly be of of the 2 I'd actually consider doing it haha. Maybe... maybe tho depends on how it ends really, I mean it'd be cool to put all the novelization and all their stuff and mix it with hot shit xD But buuut imagine how freaking looong it would be.... all their summers, weird trips, holidays... all of the... daaaang I'd die putting it all together lol. But god do I wish it's be like book series too. We'll see, we'll see how april goes :D
And again thank you so much, I was smiling so hard reading your message and then I saw that you've made an incredible art to my fic and I'm just ASDFHGFDSA DEAD RIP MY HEART! I'm gonna go brag about it now! ❤️❤️❤️
P.S. Also it'd be really nice to see a glimpse of how Haruka Nanase is without a cloud of impending doom of "Rin Matsuoka soon will leave" over his head. I mean, it's been almost 10 years and we never once saw his without it xD. It'd be really cool to make like in Eternal Summer some maybe tiny flashforward at the very end, where its all in the right place :)

ley I need writing advice, how do you write out your stories? Do you just start writing and whatever comes to mind just gets put in or do you write a writing plan beforehand like a summary of what u want to happen
Hmmmm my writing process is like...super erratic tbh. It's a mixture of both honestly. Sometimes I get ideas when I'm out doing stuff and I'll quickly jot down a summary or dialogue for it in my notes to put later in a doc.
IDK if it'll make sense but I've written Paychecks as if I was writing a screenplay or like...episodes for a long running tv show. Every chapter is intended to feel like an "episode" and I usually start thinking of things with dialogue first. A lot of them are just conversations I'd want to have between characters or what I'd think they say.
More below the cut because I have a bad habit of rambling
My process has definitely changed like when I first started writing the story I'd write out entire scenes which were mainly derived from my own experiences, just tweaked a bit. I didn't outline or anything I kinda just....wrote. (I was drafting paychecks for a couple months before I posted the first chapter). I think it was easier for me to sporadically write instead of outline because at the time I was really craving just...going to places? Like travelling and stuff, and I was SO bored at work I'd just start daydreaming 😭 and then my coworkers started talking about sugar daddies (one of them had some experience in that stuff)
I had a lot of stuff just written out of order randomly on this doc (it's got around 90k words on a single doc, never doing that again LOL) but then after a while I started to actually think of a plot and move some scenes around. But for the first several chapters I kinda just rewrote a lot of what I had drafted. Butttt I don't have anything drafted after a certain point anymore so it's more difficult for me to write. It's a big reason why it takes me so long to update now.
But noooow I actually put a very vague outline at the top of my doc for the chapter. I have an idea of what I want to happen for the story as a whole, but there's also a bunch of stuff I add in that I think of while writing. Here's the outline for chapter 16. (Granted some things are changed when I wrote the final draft)
Tumblr media
And then I'll usually write out the scenes in that order. Sometimes I have dialogue already for it so I'll start out with that. Dialogue is the easiest way for me to determine how the scene will go (I'm basically talking to myself in my head thinking of them lol). Then I'll add things after that, like what they're doing when they're talking. If I have a thought about some inner monologue or introspection I'll add that too.
If I'm feeling stuck on a particular scene, I may write a summary of it and come back to it later when I have an idea.
Another thing is I have this story planned out in arcs. So there's the beginning arc where Levi and Reader first meet, then the Vegas arc where some sort of connection is established, the Eren arc which is what we're in right now, and then I have another one planned. I found thinking of it in arcs broadens it when I get stuck and helps me see the story and how it's flowing as a whole.
I will say that listening to playlists has helped a lot too. I’ve been listening to the first few songs that I added to my playlist and as weird as it sounds it gave me a lot of...nostalgia of when I first wrote it. It brought back a lot of feelings I had last year when I was writing ;; That and I have a pinterest board for Paychecks Levi and Eren for inspo too and I liked to look through/add to it when I’m not sure on what to write.
Good god this got very long I hope there's an answer to your question in there somewhere lol feel free to ask for clarity on anything! Hope this helped ❤️
