I think that I might not like sunsets. Does it make sense to feel melancholic about short days and long nights after the winter solstice has already passed and the days are gradually getting longer again? Especially when I’m already partially nocturnal and usually wake up later in the afternoon. Something about sunsets feels particularly lonely.
I have high anxiety days and low anxiety days. High anxiety days are marked by feeling rough around the edges and impacted by every small thing in the day that doesn’t even seem to relate to anxiety, such as the thought ‘sunsets make me lonely’. What a ridiculous concept/thought! It wasn’t until I typed it out and read it back to myself that I realized I should probably take anxiety meds. Still, it helped to type it out and now I’m already feeling better than I was at the beginning of the post.
I saw somewhere that intellectualizing your emotions and trying to rationalize and reason away your feelings instead of just allowing yourself to feel them was in of itself, a hurtful coping mechanism. As someone who always prided herself on at least being good at introspection, the realization that I’m still contributing to a trauma response like that feels like a setback. All the introspection and thinking out loud I’ve done between my main blog and here have been results of that - which isn’t to say that they were all useless observations. It is a good thing to be conscious of yourself and what makes you react, but you cannot find solace and peace in just knowing why you feel. You still have to let yourself feel it sometimes.
So ironically without meaning to, I started the post one way, aimlessly putting out my feelings, realized in doing so what contributed to it, and then stayed conscious of the fact that the explanation doesn’t erase the situation. So the sunset makes me feel lonely - that doesn’t mean I don’t like sunsets. Being stuck in my own head about what’s going on is an indicator of some anxiety bubbling under the surface that I haven’t been able to pinpoint, but should still try to resolve. But ultimately, I’m still feeling lonely - but that’s okay.

SF9 MBTI
*Based on my opinion and cognitive functions. May change later*
*Also I am aware they have talked about their types, but they most likely used the 16personalities site. The results are often very inaccurate from there.*
Explanation of functions
*Updated 07/06/22. I have also linked the more thorough mbti profiles of each member through their names.*
...
Youngbin
ISFP (Fi - Se - Ni - Te)
I thought ESTJ at first because of his strong leadership as ExTJs tend to be natural leaders. Youngbin had always taken charge during trainee days despite no assigned leader
Definitely confident that he uses Fi - Te....he seems to be a highly internalized person. Fi is a really internal feeling function. I know the members have pointed it out a couple of times how Youngbin doesn't/didn't talk about his deeper feelings much
Likes being physically active, interest in sports - pretty common with dom/aux Se, especially since Se is like a physical function
Also likely why he has such a cool dance style? I'm not a dancer so idk how to describe it exactly, but he seems to have a lot of fun yet cool vibe to his dancing
Ni can show through his tattoos and the meanings of them, how he mentioned wanting to be a dad (long term future planning/goals is quite Ni)
Also just a thought - just find it cute how he really likes mbti too haha. He's slowly becoming an mbti nerd too
Inseong
ENTP (Ne - Ti - Fe - Si)
Considering how much of a brainiac he is, no surprise he's an Ne dom. So much energy mentally and physically. His Ne-Ti really shows when he's on programs like Problematic Men
Also such a chatterbox(Dom ne things lol)
Has really good developed Fe; definitely the ice breaker of this group. His high Ne energy + Fe, he's never shy to liven up the atmosphere and make ppl laugh...even if it gives everyone else 2nd hand embarrassment lol.
ENTPs are just embarrassing in general jk
He's hilarious and witty like most ENTPs
Impulsive and lowkey vulgar lol
Jaeyoon
ESFJ (Fe - Si - Ne - Ti)
So much Fe in this man...Deeply considerate and kind
A bit awkward, but he doesn't seem too shy. He can be open and friendly, he's openly affectionate towards others(common in Fe)
Seems to like having some sort of structure/routine in his life. Si doesn't have to be super organized, it's having some sense of familiarity and routine, more conventional
However having Ne as the 3rd function gives him new ideas and experiments to try out. He doesn't mind doing new things sometimes
Him and Inseong having the same functions...probably why they're so chaotic together. They're also very different though, so I'm not surprised they used to fight back then
Dawon
ESTP (Se - Ti - Fe - Ni) or ENFJ (Fe - Ni - Se - Ti)
Same functions but different order...just trying to see which one he prefers. He's the trickiest for me
Straightforward and stubborn. Does not give up easily without a fight, which I notice in a lot of Se users. He is also a bit argumentative
Bit of a rebel like a lot of ESTPs....if him escaping from church doesn't prove that then idk what will. Obviously doesn't like to stay still, has a lot of physical energy(Se)
I think he has a strong Fe, which is why he's sensitive....he doesn't or at least tries not to show it, but other's words seem to affect him a lot. Fe tends to care about other's perspective of them
Might be ENFJ bc he is most likely just exaggerating his Fe-Se to fit the mc role. I have no doubts he's a natural jokester, but he really amps up that side of him for the camera. Due to this, I think it really tires him out...He seems to have a more deeper and introspective side off camera. Although ESTPs are also capable of being deep too. E.g my ESTP older sibling loves reading and writing poetry, listening to soft and meaningful songs, etc.
Zuho
ENFJ (Fe - Ni - Se - Ti)
Has a very strong use of Fe, he's very social and outgoing. Very charismatic and charming. Dude is friends with so many people. Genuinely loves connecting with others
SF9's hands tattoo on his thigh....such an Fe-Ni thing to have. He put a lot of thought into his tattoos, even thinking of the future implication of him showing it off and explaining his story to those curious.
Like a lot of Ni users, he's invested about his work. A lot of Ni users tend to focus on a path and work on that for life. E.g me with my art; although I haven't drawn as much as I used to, it's still a goal to become an artist. It's always been a part of my life, so I really can't imagine a future without it. I'm sure Zuho feels the same way and so continues to improve with his writing and producing skills. Music gives him meaning to his life
Rowoon
INFP (Fi - Ne - Si - Te)
So weird
Well spoken...ne tends to talk with a lot of metaphors. Not only is he well spoken, he is also very talkative
He seems more reserved when around unfamiliar people(Fi is more private). But his Ne definitely comes out with his members and other ppl he feels close with
Always works hard to prove he's more than just a pretty face; Fi - Te makes him want to develop himself more
Good use with all his functions. Organized and a bit nagging, he doesn't seem to like it when things get too hectic. Although he's chaotic himself lol, when the others get too rowdy, he usually tries to quiet them down.
Taeyang
ISFP (Fi - Se - Ni - Te)
Maybe it's his Scorpio moon I'm reading, but I always found Tae to be intense. Fi doms (IxFPs) can be kind of intense sometimes
Fi makes him want to be unique and individualistic
Se is focused on the present moment and uses the 5 senses...Tae gains inspiration from his surroundings, always looking at physical things
Also the way he dances...mans got no bones or something. Not all se doms/aux are automatically good dancers, but they have the highest chance to be able to dance the way Taeyang does
But idk why he's so clumsy lol
Ni is usually focused on long term planning and goals. Tae wants to focus on having an androgynous and eye catching vibe with his performances
Hwiyoung
INFP (Fi - Ne - Si - Te)
He's so weird in like....a chill way. He's dorky. INFPs have a scale of being very intense or soft like Hwi. He's probably the most soft hearted in this group. Rowoon is in the middle I guess, he's kinda chaotic
Has strong opinions he's not afraid to share
Quite honest about his feelings, how sensitive and emotional he is
Has the Ne optimism and according to Chani, strange/unrealistic ideas
Chani
INTJ (Ni - Te - Fi - Se)
The lame Ni humor he has
The way he talks and writes...in a letter he wrote to Hwi for his bday, he briefly mentions their past and focuses more on their future(ni tends to be future oriented). Like many ni users, does not have the best memory
Straightforward and honest, very hardworking(Te). He's also quite realistic and the type to give advice instead of comfort. Very Te thing to do, as Te doms/aux would rather give a solution to a problem
Bit impulsive, reactive(inferior Se). Also SO slow
Expressionless...INTJs are notorious for being expressionless and seemingly emotionless
Also an INTJ myself, he is too relatable to not be one

since I'm bored again lol, please write the first three words, which comes on your mind for each of the b1a4 members and explain XDDD if you can XDDD (i hope you can understand me and my gibberish XD)
ah this is an interesting ask, thank you!!
Jinyoung: Talented, Respectful, Patient
I think everyone would agree with me for the first word. The man is extremely talented, juggling being a terrific leader, a great singer, a wonderful composure, and an up-and-coming actor. The fact that he can manage it all and still be standing is a display of how ‘driven’ (which could be another word I would use to describe if given more than three!! lol). The next two words play into his capabilities as a leader. He is respectful of course to his fellow members, which provides a solid base of friendship in which they could better develop as a group. And of course he’s respectful to his fans, comrades or fellow staff members, etc. I mean B1A4 as a whole are known in the industry as being one of the most respectful groups, cleaning up after photoshoots and what not, but Jinyoung really takes the top place for this. Another facet to his good leadership is that he’s patient. He waits until he gets the perfect take during recordings, instead of rushing to finish. He works well with the girl groups he’s composed for, producing great songs. I know the members have joked about him being ‘intimidating’ during recordings, but we all know they wouldn’t be as close as they were if that was the case. Jinyoung is such an integral part of the group, as leader, in keeping them together and so strong.
CNU: Introspective, Guarded, Caring
So some of you may know already, but even if I could only pick one word for CNU, that’d be ‘introspective’. Like that IS my word for him. He is constantly thinking about what the situation, what he should say and how he should react to it. Part of this I think came from insecurities (from events of his past, perhaps), but I also think that’s just genuinely who he is. Everything he says is planned and with reason. Which kinda takes us to the next word, guarded. He’s a cautious person, probably why he was known as being ‘slow’ when they first debuted. Obviously we know he can be fast when he wants to, but his slowness, both mentally and physically, came from his need to survey the situation, almost as if he was thinking of what could possibly go wrong, and how he’d react to it. He’s also known as being the ‘mom’ of the group, and this is demonstrated in how caring he is with the members. Especially when they were living together, he’d be the one to make sure no one forgot anything, being the last to leave and turn the lights off. And he’s admitted as rookies he’d try and guide the younger members because he cared about them improving and doing their best. And I don’t think I need to get into how much he cares for his fans, that’s is very apparent!!
Sandeul: Genuine, Positive, Forgiving
Unlike CNU, Sandeul doesn’t do too much over thinking when it comes to his actions (and reactions!). Everything he says comes out instantaneously, which provides much of the funnier moments. But I think because of this, everything he says and does can be said to be more ‘genuine’ than the others. It’s just what he is really feeling in that moment, and he wants to share it. Going along with this, most of his reactions are upbeat, or ‘positive’. He can put you in a good mood when you are feeling sad, and I think if we were able to peak in on their dorm life, Sandeul was the main one in helping the boys stay light hearted during times of negativity. And that shouldn’t be underestimated. The last word comes from the interactions we see between Sandeul and the members. CNU and Jinyoung are constantly poking and squishing him, riling him up or giving him a hard time, along with Baro (and occasionally Gongchan). Of course it’s all in good fun, but going back further there’s been more serious instances that have been admitted, like Baro not paying Sandeul back (or saying he has no money on him and making Sandeul pay), and Sandeul doesn’t really get too bothered by it. Things just slide off him, without ruining his mood. Perhaps ‘tolerant’ would be a good word, too.
Baro: Competitive, Clever, Complex
Baro definitely likes to win. And more than that, he’s oddly good at winning. Taking out rock paper scissors (which is Gongchan’s forte), Baro is the one that usually comes in first when they are doing those strange games or challenges during shows and appearances. He was voted as “May King’, as well by the fans. And of course he’s the most athletic of the members, so combining that with his competitiveness will lead to more wins, I guess. BUT to add to that, I think he’s also quite clever. He has a lot of ‘street smarts’, and that carries over into his ability to perform well on camera. He’s a good mood maker, because he is able to read the situation, and predict what can happen next so that he can provide the best reaction. When it comes to all the members appearing on a show solo, Baro is definitely the best. He has the natural knack for it, and I think the first two words play into that. However… I also think that he’s the most different off screen versus on screen. So when I say ‘complex’, I mean that in a more emotional way. What we, as fans, are only seeing is the surface of his emotions, when there is actually a lot more there.People who aren’t familiar with the group would probably be surprised to know that he’s quite chill during his down time, liking to be by himself and read books. Unlike Sandeul, I think that while Baro is excellent at socializing, it is overall draining for him, and he needs his time to himself at night when the cameras are off. I don’t know, even after all these years Baro is still kinda confusing to me. Hence my choice of ‘complex’.
Gongchan: Quirky, Aware, Intelligent
So I mentioned Baro is the best at varieties and such, but Gongchan would be a close second for me. The main thing holding him back is that he isn’t as comfortable by himself, but he is so good at reading social situations and queues as well! He has this ‘awareness’ where he is able to watch people, get a read off them, and be able to adapt accordingly. He is definitely one to initially sit back until he can accurately get a grasp of the person and their personality… almost like he has compartments in his mind that he shuffles people into? If that makes sense…. and from there he is able to decide how much of his quirkiness can show. He can be quite extra at times, demonstrating his animal sounds or ability to win against almost anyone in rock paper scissors, or just the random things he says… but the awareness also comes with a more mature side, as he helps his hyungs out during more emotionally charged or stressful moments, being able to almost know in advance where they’ll need help. And honestly, I think the first two words I used are so prevalent because he’s a very ‘intelligent’ individual. I don’t mean that he can solve complex theorems (as we saw during Celebrity Bromance, Hongbin was shocked at how bad his math was!!) but more that…he’s more spatially intelligent? Like he’s good with logic oriented tasks, navigating, keeping the boys on track and recognizing patterns, both physical and emotional. If I were stuck stranded on an island and could only pick one of the boys, I’d want Gongchan with me, for example lol. I already used the word ‘complex’ with Baro, but I think it’s quite fitting for Gongchan, as well. He really needs more recognition!
