look, i know everyone said that the new interview with the vampire show was incredible but holy shit i was not prepared for how incredible this show is
like, not only is louis interesting now, he is incredibly compelling! his once-bland internal dilemma is now given actual weight because it's not just the same old Thou Shalt Not Kill But I Am Hungry story, it's tempered through his righteous fury at how black people have been treated all these years, how many people have wronged him and laughed and expected him to laugh along, how his ties to the community that once saved him are now turning to nooses around his throat, how his family that he once provided for and relied on have now come to fear him
that, combined with his explicit homosexuality, and with lestat being the only one who seemed to accept him and love him for all that he is, and how that is both comforting and incredibly toxic and combined with sam reid's insane charisma and mania and gravity as lestat that make it completely understandable why louis would still be drawn to him in spite of everything
and how they've used the changes from the original to this one to examine how memory shifts regarding someone who was so intense and formative in your life even if they were ultimately so controlling and abusive but still left such huge gouges in your personality like knives
like
fuck
this is the best-written show i have seen in a long time like this is top-tier writing holy shit

Accidently cooked up a silly little au the other day that I am very much enjoying gonna. talk about it under the cut because4 the FUCKING WORMS
OKAY so basically. literally everythign is the same except for the fact that. Ed got entirely yoinked instead of Alphonse. I dunno why that happens but. It does because I say so. Anyways. So this basically mean that Ed gets bonded to an armor instead of Al, and because I desperately wanted the secondary set of Armor to see some light I thought it would be funny to bond Ed to that instead. I haven't fleshed everything out, but as I'm working on that I wanna add a few of the different things in here just because. And I still might tweak things if I think it doesn't make sense. - Al lost his arm first, then traded his tongue and his eye to bond Ed to the armor, making him effectively mute. He's learned ASL and Ed has to translate for him a lot. Although in my hcs Al is a foodie so like. major bummer for taste buds. He likes fun textures and stuff though. I gotta figure out what problems this poses though so we'll figure that out. - Al most likely is going to go into being a state alchemist just for the fact of staying somewhat close to the storyline and stuff. and I don't know, insert random reasoning in here. Yeah - just a little design note. uhmmmmm I thought the cross thing on Ed's head/helm was cool and I had the bright idea of like "hey what if I put the emblem like. through the cross yk" and I might not do that. But at the moment it looks cool to me. so yeah. I'M STILL TOYING WITH THINGS. . . I have to figure out what happens and designs and stuff. but yeah. I think that covers. what I have for now. p sick. scuttles away

I think my favorite thing about doing ginger red hair instead of cherry red hair is: lying to people about it
#I love the cherry red / wine red and I'll probably go back at some point bc it's my Origin.#but for now.#I don't actively lie to people but bc it's a Natural and Plausible hair color#and I'm already pale and I dye my eyebrows to match my hair. ppl figure it's natural#and it has come up MULTIPLE TIMES. and I've recently been rolling with it instead of correcting ppl. bc who cares?#recent examples that come to mind (but I did correct them in this one) my surgeon assuming it was natural#and using my genetics as a natural redhead as a baseline to tell me about what I can expect from my future scarring#and then again later with the anesthesia. they were going to dose me differently#the anesthesiologist glanced at me when I came into the OR and was getting the stuff ready on his cart#and when he heard me talking to my doc and re-telling him that oh the hair isn't natural#he was behind the curtain like FUCK#taking shit off his cart and quietly redoing his setup#that's how I learned that redheads need higher doses of anesthesia than other ppl.#they also need more of the topical stuff like lidocaine. apparently they metabolize it faster(?)#ANYWAY he was going to up my dose thinking I needed it lol#so i almost got way more sedatives and pain meds than i needed bc of my hair dye LMAOOO#other more Normal Life examples was a country dude in full hunting gear holding a door open for me someplace#and I said thank you and he lifted his hat up to point at his (natural) red hair and said ''twins!''#this one sticks with me because that was such a cute thing to do. what the hell#and at snakefest I was talking to some people at their food truck. there was an older guy who trapped me into a convo for like 30mins#he was Very Nice. and they were going to some type of irish festival next and said I should go too bc I'll be right at home#flat out just was like. this bitch looks irish#and I don't know why all of this is so funny to me. it has no reason to be.

You know I think there is something interesting to say in terms of where the fuck WxS is going because like
I think WxS is the only unit where the end goal or overall progression is probably the most unknown out of all of them ???
MMJ and VBS are extremely obvious, they both have the most explicit goals that are said to us in a straightforward way
25-ji, in the end we know the main goal at the end will be for all of the characters to go over their hurdles with Mafuyu finally being able to find herself and move forward
Leo/need is probably the closest in terms of vagueness but we know the end goal is clear for them to grow as a band, probably ending in a big concert or something along those lines
But with WxS...like I guess the closest thing I can see to an end goal is all of WxS preparing a show together with everyone playing their part but that definitely doesn't feel like something you'd build up for an entire arc and definitely not something that feels fitting after the emotional turmoil that was the disbandement arc ???
In terms of physical achievements as well they literally revived an entire parc through one gigantic show, so it just comes into question what they can do now.
Then you look at their first few event for this arc considering usually the first event kinda set up what will be planned for the future but it's...weird.
Yeah, Tsukasa and Rui's events set up they're inexperienced and how they will grow in the future but also there is this weird feeling of something feeling off ?
The plays/scripts all are strangely depressing, the play in Tsukasa's event being about a failed writer planning to drown himself (which I believe is one of the only undeniable explicit description of suicide ever in the game?????) and the second being someone whose given up on life meeting their estranged sister only for her to become ill.
We even have Emu's side story in Rui's event where they watched the movie Rin was watching during the event made by the same producer and Emu herself note how depressing the story is (meanwhile the main character of the movie clearly parallels Rui)
We don't see the conclusion of these in-game stories as well, lingering on their worst moment never really seeing the presumably happy conclusion.
THEN we also have Emukasa fes which....again strangely different in tone from what you'd expect a WxS fes card, they're not really all that conclusive either. Tsukasa never aknowledges how he relates to the brother in the story and Emu doesn't really get a conclusion on her grief.
Then we also have Rui's entire fuckign event with the cards and his cyberpunk deadbo-YOU SEE WHAT IM SAYING
The closest we fucking have to knowing what WxS's fucking endgoal towards the story is, is fucking WL which....TELLS US NOTHING
At least with VBS we know that they're goal is to go even further beyond and conquer the whole world, that is a developpement of their goal.
What I'm saying is I don't know what the fuck colorpalet is cooking wiht WxS but I feel like i'm a fucking twilight zone reading the way they're writing WxS now because I can't be the only one feeling insane at how weird all of this is

It's so weird and funny to me when antis will be like "coping with taboo fiction is fine, but don't you understand you can't post it because people might get off to this!?!?"
Like what a stranger masturbates to is any of my business at all.

bonus chapter 4 the bonus chapter :3c
falling stars fic masterpost
Shadow started to get the nagging feeling that he was forgetting something. And not in the sense that he had amnesia. This was different. It was something that he definitely should remember, something that had happened within the past 24 hours, but he couldn't for the life of him figure out what it was.
“Yo, Stripes,” Sonic said, snapping Shadow out of his reverie. “Are you listening, man?”
Shadow frowned. “No,” he said. “I was thinking.”
“Well,” Sonic said with a frown of his own, “it’s kinda important. So try to keep up, okay?”
Shadow rubbed his eyes. He was sitting across from Sonic on the bed, his legs crossed, and trying very hard not to completely ignore Sonic and just go back to thinking. “I’m following,” was what he said. “Go again.”
“I was saying,” Sonic began, “that it might be good if we raided the kitchen. I’m starving. Aren’t you?”
“No,” was Shadow’s instant reply. But it made him pause. After thinking about it a little more, he said, “I’m not hungry. And I’m not tired either.” It was true, but it didn’t make any sense. Shouldn’t he be both of those things by now?
Sonic tried to laugh it off. “Maybe you just forgot how to be hungry? Once you get some grub, I’m sure you’ll remember what you’re missin’! Same deal with sleep. Once you get some, you’ll–”
“Blue,” Shadow interrupted, “I’m the Ultimate Lifeform.”
Contemplative, Sonic tilted his head. “I don’t know if I trust the words of a guy who shot at us with a dart gun. Besides, it sounds kinda lame. Wouldn’t you rather be the Ultimate Beat-Em-Upform?” When Shadow just frowned, Sonic offered him a shrug. “I’m just saying, even if it is true, we don’t know what it means. At least, I sure don’t. Do you?”
Shadow had to admit that he didn’t.
“So,” Sonic continued, “after we grab a bite to eat, I’ll take watch, and you take a nap. Sound good?”
Shadow suddenly remembered what he was forgetting. “There’s something strange about this place,” he said. At first, Sonic looked a little annoyed that Shadow was dodging the question, but it faded as he went on. “Earlier, when I went to look for your brace, I passed over many rooms, but they were all empty. Just like this one.”
“I can’t say an empty hospital is a bad thing,” Sonic said. “I mean, you saw it too–this place is huge. Maybe everyone here is just spread out?”
Shadow hummed thoughtfully. It was plausible… but then, so was a metal horse statue suddenly coming to life.
“I’m just saying,” Sonic added, “I don’t think there’s anything to worry about.”
But Shadow wasn’t so sure. That nagging feeling kept tugging at his brain, and he couldn’t ignore it. Still, if Sonic was starving, then that matter was a little more pressing than whatever vague instinct Shadow was currently experiencing.
And so, that was how the two of them ended up creeping through the hallways, with Sonic begrudgingly agreeing to let Shadow carry him again since even though he could technically handle the pain of limping around, the noise from the brace hitting the floor was far from sneaky. And they needed to be sneaky.
They needed to be sneaky, because…
“Oh!” Sonic whispered. “I think that’s it. Those doors right there–that’s gotta be the kitchen, right?”
The doors in question were made out of gray steel and had a set of circular windows at the top. Unfortunately, Shadow was too short to see through them even when he stood on his tiptoes. But thankfully he didn’t need to suffer that embarrassment, since the doors were labeled with a plaque on the wall. It read: SECOND FLOOR KITCHEN.
Shadow pressed his ear up against the door, but didn’t hear any noise coming from the inside. And while that was a bit strange in and of itself, he decided to take Sonic’s advice and not worry about it. Or at the very least, not worry about it until after securing some food.
Gingerly, Shadow pushed open the kitchen door with his foot. Still nothing. He slipped inside, and almost dropped Sonic from shock once the door swung closed behind him and he saw what was waiting for them inside the kitchen. Sonic, likewise, gasped, the sight before him making him temporarily forget that he was supposed to be quiet.
It was food. Dishes upon dishes of it. Plates, bowls, pots, and cups covered every table in the kitchen, and all of them were filled with the most delicious looking food Sonic had ever seen. There were meats, salads, soups, and desserts galore. Steam was still rising from the turkey, and the brownies were oozing with chocolate lava. It was almost too much for his empty stomach to take in at once. With all of these options, how was he supposed to choose where to start?
Shadow, however, wasn’t thinking about digging in at all, and it wasn’t just because he wasn’t hungry. The food certainly looked tempting, and even managed to create something of an appetite within him, but that just made Shadow more suspicious. “This isn’t right,” he said. “An empty building, but enough food to feed a village?”
Sonic squirmed in Shadow’s arms. “I’m not complaining,” Sonic said. “With this much food, they won’t notice any missing!”
Shadow held fast to Sonic, despite the hedgehog’s attempts to wriggle out of his grasp and over to the food. “We can’t eat this,” Shadow said.
That made Sonic mad. They’d already come all the way here, and now Stripes was gonna say he couldn’t have any? “You’re not making sense, dude,” Sonic said. “Food is food. And this stuff looks–”
“Too good to be true,” Shadow interrupted. The nagging feeling that had been plaguing him finally culminated into a realization: they weren’t supposed to be here anymore. Shadow had only intended to let Sonic sleep for a little while, and then they were supposed to leave. But somehow, he had forgotten, and all thoughts about leaving the building left him. Not even Sonic seemed interested in leaving anymore.
Almost like the building didn’t want them to leave.
With a strength he didn’t know he had, Shadow tore the handle off of the door behind him and threw it at the nearest banquet table. It lodged itself in a cake, revealing the inside of the dessert to be filled with a sickly green slime.
“If you eat that,” Shadow said, “you’re never getting out of here.”
At last, Sonic stopped struggling. He looked at the ectoplasm dripping from the cake with wide eyes, and finally pieced everything together for himself. “This place just keeps getting weirder and weirder,” he said. Then, he looked up at Shadow. “I should’ve listened to you earlier, Stripes. I didn’t think…”
“Don’t apologize. It was in my head, too.”
All of the sudden, the dishes on the table started to shudder. Shadow backed up, but found the kitchen doors were locked, and didn’t budge when he pressed his back up against them, something that should’ve been impossible considering one of the doors was now missing its handle and therefore, its lock.
However, it was only when the bunches of grapes started floating that Shadow thought to himself that “weird” didn’t begin to cut it. This was straight up supernatural!
In a whiz, the grapes zipped through the air and splattered on the wall. Their green guts spelled out the words: WE MADE THIS FOR YOU. WON’T YOU STAY FOR DINNER?
“I’m not hungry anymore,” Sonic said thinly.
Shadow couldn’t agree more. Whirling around, he sent a kick at the door, but it didn’t budge. His shoe just clanged off the metal uselessly before skidding to a halt on the tile floor.
More grapes joined the fray. This time, they read: IF THIS ISN’T WHAT YOU WANT, THEN WE WILL MAKE YOU SOMETHING NEW.
Shadow gritted his teeth as the walls began to rumble. He thought about the shifting architecture on the outside of the building, and said, “It was a trap from the start.”
Of course it was. The strangeness of the hospital building when compared to the rest of the town was so clear in retrospect, so out of place. And more than that: it was so convenient.
Too convenient.
The walls groaned, the wood transmuting into metal in front of Sonic and Shadow’s eyes. The kitchen was also disappearing, transforming into something else, something that Shadow wasn’t planning on sticking around to see to completion. With fire in his eyes, he turned back around, and found the doors had disappeared. It was just a wall now. That didn’t discourage him, though. If anything, it fuelled his determination, and he took a deep breath.
From Sonic’s perspective, it seemed as though the air had suddenly become electrified.
Shadow slammed a kick into the wall, and the wood-turning-metal exploded outwards in a burst of red sparks. The building screeched in protest, but Shadow was already gone, jumping through the opening and down to the grass below with no hesitation. He briefly wondered how that wall could’ve possibly led to the outside when he was sure it had been deeper inside the building, but chalked it up to being just another trick of the possessed architecture.
Speaking of which…
“Stripes! Duck!”
Shadow ducked, narrowly avoiding having his head bashed in by the hooves of one of the metal horse statues from earlier.
Damn! Those things were moving now too?!
As it was, Shadow stood in the middle of the not-hospital’s courtyard surrounded by giant steel horses, their beady purple eyes staring him down. In the background, the building itself seemed to be leaking smoke from its countless windows, and from the smoke came a ghastly figure. A large white ghost with swirling eyes and a ten gallon hat appeared and sat on the back of one of the horses, its uncannily large mouth stretching into an even bigger shark-toothed grin.
“Y'all make terrible guests,” the cowboy ghost said. “A shame considerin’ your Chaos Energy alone could’ve kept me fed for months!”

You know what I realized playing "What in Hell is Bad" is that I really adore the character variety.
"Obey Me" has you consistently deal with like 12-15 characters that are the same faces everyday and you feel very closeted or locked in to that group but this game has variety and the designs go hard:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like every character is distinct and fun and you're not subjected to a few you get to see all of the demons roaming around; Granted they're crazy as shit and their designs be uhm.... Interesting- But like I don't feel stuck with one I feel like I'm meeting many
I love it!

Shatterbird is a monster who delights in being feared and massacring cities, but she's also a poor little meow meow who I love dearly. Like her backstory is so damn sad, she got dosed with a Cauldron vial against her will, and in her pain from getting powers she Screamed, exploding and shattering all the glass and sand in the United Arab Emirates. Y'know, the place thats 80% desert.
So she probably killed hundreds of thousands of people in a situation entirely out of her control, and I highly doubt she got forgiven for it in the slightest or that she was given any sort of understanding. She was almost certainly being hunted down and portrayed as a monster to the media, a ruthless killer who had no remorse over destroying a country, and who would hear her out? Who would consider that she never wanted this or that she could be redeemed? She was entirely on her own from the moment she got her powers, and she went to London most likely to hide, only to have to lash out again when she was found and cause another disaster, so she fled again to the USA, only to get recruited by the Slaughterhouse 9 because she can't catch a break. Do you think she had already begun to slip and become the monster she was painted as by that point? Did anyone reach out and give her human connection? Or was she alone and isolated and feared, with some serial killer nominating her to join their gang because they think she's a monster like them and she can't exactly say no. And at the end of it all, when she got through all the tests and had her morals slowly drip away, she had to personally murder the other surviving candidate to survive and join the S9. I know this is like 80% guesswork already but I like to imagine that maybe the other candidate was her only companion and friend, even if it isn't though it's still a lovely showing of how she's finally become the monster she's believed to be, finally a murderer by choice.
Shatterbird at the time we see her is a monster, one of the most despicable and terrifying characters in the text, and I just love the implication that she was innocent at first. Her only choices after getting her powers were to keep getting worse or die, and she chose the only option she could.

figuring out I'm agender was such a revelation because there was just no more confusion anymore. no more wondering why I related more to the male characters, why I always felt as equally comfortable in "guys" and "girls" clothes, why I never really understood the whole binary in itself. I always existed outside of it, always thought the whole thing was overrated and dumb.
now, it's just so freeing because I see myself in the mirror, and I'm the man I wanted to be. I'm the woman I wanted to be. I'm both. I'm neither!
Sorry its late and I'm just really euphoric right now because so many moments of my past finally make so much sense, and I wish I could go back and give that kid some reassurance that they weren't wrong for any of it.
I'm ace, I'm aro, I'm agender, and I'm ecstatic because I finally feel like I'm meeting the real me.
Love & Light y'all

I need a Morcia conversation about Luke where Morgan asks what's holding her back and Penelope bursts out that she wasn't going to do this again.
And when Morgan finally gets her to explain, she explains that she loves the way they are and their friendship just as it is, and she doesn't want to change it, but there was a moment, just one moment, when she realized she wanted more.
And she swore right then that she wouldn't do it again. She wasn't going to replace Morgan with some other unfairly pretty man who was good at bantering with her. And she wasn't going to fall in love with someone who was never going to love her back the same way.
And Morgan just looks at her for a moment, recalling her once saying to him that just because he wouldn't cross a crowded room to hit on her didn't mean everyone else was that shallow, and how they never really cleared that up...and finally says:
"You know I had a moment too?"
And Penelope just blinks at him, because WHAT?
"A few actually."
More confused blinking.
"I'd look over at you and you'd be doing something so you, and I'd think god...I am in love with this woman. But it was never the right time. I wasn't ready for that. Then I was, but you were with Phil, or Kevin. Or you were going on a date with some hot guy you rescued at a coffee shop."
"Derek," Penelope says, and she is stunned, totally stunned, because he's talking about years. YEARS of their friendship pining in silence. "Why didn't you ever say something?"
"Because like I said...it was never the right time. You were with other people. Then I was. And...truth be told, I was scared. What if it didn't work out? What if I lost what we had already? I was always too afraid to take that risk. I didn't want to fade out of your life."
"Never," Penelope says.
"Yeah, I know that now. But you know...sometimes I think there was another reason."
"Yeah?"
"I moved on. And you moved on, a few times. But do you see the way Alvez looks at you? After three years since your only date? He isn't gonna just move on, Penelope. That poor man is so gone over you."
Penelope laughs, like a sad watery crying laugh though.
"You wanna know a secret?"
"Always."
"I haven't dated anyone since then either."
Derek smiles.
And that's how Penelope finally lets herself love Luke back.

I like talking about my ocs and I like hearing about other people's ocs, so let's talk about them because why the hell not ( part 1? )
Question, what was your MC doing right before they arrived in the Devildom for the 1° time? I'll start: Magnus was peacefully sleeping inside a bus while making their way home when they got summoned & pulled inside the Council Room, falling on the floor ( ouch ) in front of the brothers and Diavolo.
