CW:// KRBK, SFW, Feeling Realization, Confession, First Kiss
Sunlight streams through the window. The birds from the nest right outside chirp loudly, happy for the day to start.
Bakugou is the complete opposite.
Contrary to popular belief, even with him going to sleep early, Bakugou is not a morning person. He needs at least a good twenty minutes of sitting on the edge of his bed, wiping the crust from his eyes and letting his brain activate before he begins to prepare for the day.
It's the weekend though. His alarm is set for later on Saturdays and Sundays, trying to get at least another hour in before his door is blasted open by his gaggle of ‘friends’.
Most of the time it's Kirishima, already dressed and awake, telling Bakugou they're going to do something so they aren't inside all day.
However, this morning is different.
Bakugou's eyes slide open, taking in the warmth surrounding him. The smell of strawberry shampoo and sound of snores pulls his gaze towards the man in his bed.
Kirishima had fallen asleep in his room last night. It wasn't intentional. They had stayed up watching a new documentary about Crimson Riot and then talked for hours after the fact until they fell asleep.
Waking up in Kirishima's arms wasn't part of the plan, but Bakugou really isn't in the mood to complain. Kirishima is comfortable. Although Bakugou is sweating under his shirt, he doesn't want to move.
He takes the time to study Kirishima. He's never been up this close. His eyelashes fan his cheeks, mouth slightly parted to show the tips of his sharp teeth. A piece of his hair blows from his face each time he exhales only for it to be sucked back toward his lips when he breathes in.
The skip in his heart and the hitch of his breath catches him off guard, but only for a moment. It isn't some dramatic shout in his head or butterflies exploding in droves in his stomach.
It's watching the flutter of Kirishima's eyes opening when Bakugou breathes out a small, “Oh.”
Kirishima's lip quirk into a sleepy smile. “Oh?”
“Mhm,” Bakugou raises his hand and tucks that pesky strand behind Kirishima's ear, “Just realizing that I'm in love with you, is all.”
He expects to see shock cover Kirishima's face. Instead, his smile grows wider and he cups the nape of Bakugou's neck. “Took ya long enough,” His nose brushes Bakugou's, “Now, would it be okay to finally kiss you?”
Finally. Kirishima has waited for him. Bakugou snorts and leans in a fraction more, letting his eyes slide shut. “It better be worth it with your nasty morning breath.”
It is.

Krbk walking past a row of gacha machines on the streets when one catches Bakugo's attention. He immediately beelines for it, finishing out his wallet to get coins.
Kirishima follows him, amused as he looks at the gacha display and gasps.
"Oh! It's our class!"
Kirishima hasn't seen much merchandise of them yet, mainly because they just graduated, but the machine had super cute mini figurine versions of them and their classmates in their hero suits. He instantly searched for Bakugo's and smiled. Mini Bakugo looked so manly!!!
They gave him little explosions and his winning smirk. Kirishima is pretty tempted to try and play to get him for himself.
Not while his crush was present though.
He watches Bakugo open up a capsule and sees the blond grunt in disgust when it reveals a mini Mineta.
Bakugo almost looks ready to burn it. Since there were no bins nearby Bakugo opens his gym bag and drops it in before going back to depositing more coins. Clearly not getting the result he wanted, and tried three more times.
Iida. Ojiro. Momo.
Kirishima tried to hide a smile.
It was kinda funny and cute how determined Bakugo's expression was as he kept playing.
"Fuck! Stop giving me Deku and Half n Half you stupid machine!" Bakugo growls, smacking the display in warning.
Kirishima couldn't help the chuckle he let out that time. Bakugo was really getting fired up!
He watches Bakugo open up Kaminari, Mina and Sero capsules.
Bakugo keeps going.
Kirishima glances down to Bakugo's gym bag, he's almost got their whole class in there.
When Bakugo finally opens a capsule to reveal a mini version of himself Kirishima thought that was the end of it.
Bakugo drops his mini version in the bag with a grunt.
Huh.
Kirishima wasn't expecting that. His eyes darted between the mini Bakugo and the real one.
Does that mean Bakugo is going to throw mini Bakugo out!?
He's too cute to go out like that!
Luckily Bakugo is still distracted so Kirishima quickly bends down to swipe the figure and puts it in his jacket pocket.
Successful rescue mission!
"Damn it I'm out of yen!" Bakugo curses and hits the machine again.
Kirishima pats him on the shoulder, partly in sympathy, partly in please don't cause property damage.
Then he takes out his wallet to count the loose change. Just enough for one gacha play.
"Hey Bakugo, I have enough yen if you want to play one more time?"
Bakugo glares down at the offered money.
"No."
"Oh..."
"You do it, I have the worst fucking luck." Bakugo grumbles, crossing his arms, the pout deepening.
"Oh!" Kirishima raises the money to the coin slot and pauses, "are you sure?"
"Do it."
He threads the money into the machine.
As Kirishima turns the dial he suddenly feels super tense, he could feel Bakugo's unwavering glare at the machine, daring it to deny what he wanted again.
The capsule dropped into the dispenser.
He cautiously reaches in to pick up the capsule and opens it.
A mini Red Riot stares up at him. Kirishima smiles and holds it up.
"Hey look! Finally a mini me!-" He stops talking when he sees Bakugo's eyes are hyperfocused on the figurine.
"Gimme."
"Wha-" Kirishima yelps in surprise when Bakugo lunges at him.
He's too stunned to really defend himself when he feels Bakugo's warm hands touch his to swipe the figurine. The blond's face was super red as he quickly turned and bent down towards his bag.
Bakugo wanted a mini Red Riot!?
Kirishima.exe has stopped working.
Kirishima could feel his face heating up.
'Could that mean-?'
He was snapped out of his thoughts when Bakugo started muttering.
"Where the fuck did that little gremlin go." He growled, rifling through the gym bag, tossing heroes and empty capsule balls all over the place.
'Oh my God, he's looking for mini Bakugo.'
The figure suddenly feels heavy in his pocket.
Bakugo really did look frustrated.
Kirishima reached into his pocket, hovering over the figure. He /could/ play dumb about this whole thing.
But that wouldn't be very manly, huh?
Mustering up the courage, Kirishima holds up the mini Bakugo.
"Is this what you were looking for?"
Bakugo looks up and double takes when he sees little Dynamight, now the tips of his ears are getting red.
"Wh- how- nevermind, hand him over."
"No."
Kirishima can see Bakugo opening his mouth to argue so he raises a hand to ask him to wait.
"I think this is a fair trade. You can have Red Riot but Dynamight belongs to me." He states, a slight tease to his tone as he hugs the figure close to his chest.
Bakugo's face couldn't get any redder, darting his eyes away from Kirishima to look at the ground, mumbling something under his breath.
"What did you just say Bakugo?" He asks, walking closer.
Bakugo's eyes flicker up to his.
"I said...he's been yours for a while now."
Kirishima’s heart is beating a mile a minute as he bends down in front of Bakugo to get eye level.
"As I said with Red Riot, he's yours too."
"Really?"
"Really."
Bakugo's eyes dart down to Kirishima's lips then back to his eyes. His mouth ticking up into a soft smirk.
"Then how about we finalise that trade?"
Kirishima smiles back at him, his hand slowly covering Bakugo's.
"And how should we do that, hmm?"
"Like this," Bakugo leans forward to close the small distance and Kirishima meets him half way. The kiss was soft but firm and he loved every second of it.
It was perfect.
He leaned back slightly and smiled, touching their foreheads together.
"Trade accepted."

Okay, something I realized a while ago is how the fandom doesn't give Kiribaku enough shit like it does with the bkdk or other ships, like an anti bkdk myself that prefer Izuku ten meters away from bk, same thing that many krdk shippers want too. However, many of them likes the cliche of  “bad boy with everyone but nice with the good boy who helps calm him down (this dynamic is repeated in with kachaco but heterosexual version)” In addition the ship is to the detriment of murdering Kirishima's character in the supposed relationship, although Horikoshi murdered the character when he became bakugou follower without self-criticism or construction of why a character who hated bullies and who wanted to learn to be braver to protect the weak he still decides to persecute someone who doesn’t show kindness or compassion to others.
I'm going to be honest, I don't like Kirishima's character, I think that many of his scenes, especially with BK, end up reinforcing a toxic masculinity because even though BK's behavior is toxic, he ends up labeling them as "manly", I think there is never any self-criticism on Kirishima's part towards this and while I understand that this is more Horikoshi's fault than anything else, I think that the fandom presents Kirishima as a deconstruction of toxic masculinity but that they end up cementing themselves with bk, because Kirishima sees in bk only his confidence and talent but he doesn't react when his actions are simply toxic or cruel to others, krbk is presented as a ship where kirishima is bk's lapdog and the worst of all is that it agrees with the canon since kirishima never stands over him to point out his flaws.
I think the reason it gets less flak than the others is because for the most part KrBk shippers are quiet and do their own thing. Also, Ejiro’s not linked to Izuku in any way, which makes it easier for people to stomach.
I can see why you don’t like him. I’m neutral towards him but Ejiro’s biggest problem is his inconsistency. When Ejiro’s without Katsuki, he’s a very interesting character. He’s a character meant to embody positive masculinity. Sadly, he’s with Katsuki most of the time, and even when he’s not, Katsuki’s involved in some way. I get finding someone’s free spirit and determination cool, but Katsuki embodies the worst aspects of these traits. Ejiro doesn’t seem to get that. When Katsuki rushed in to hit Kurogiri, Ejiro followed, not once thinking about the ramifications. Neither gets scolded either for essentially putting the rest of their classmates in danger. If Mezou wasn’t there, things could’ve ended up much worse.

"Kirishima and Bakugou are not interacting"
Respectfully, you're being dumb saying it.
Some people use that argument to discredit kiribaku, forgetting completely about the whole context the manga is into.
They're in a world war, Bakugo was upfront line and Kirishima was far in another place. "They're not interacting" Bakugo just died and woke up how would they interact if they're fighting?
All Bakugou thoughts and interactions are based on that characters that are fighting on his side because what interests him now is fighting with them against the enemies.
So when he thinks of Deku or Todoroki it's just because they're there, not that they mean more to him or anything. It's obvious though.
Also, ofcourse they're important to him. Doesn't mean that because he cares about Deku NOT DYING that he likes him romantically. So when he's dying and he thinks about Deku it's nothing but about a long story friendship.
If you shipp Bakudeku I don't know what you're doing seeing my posts, I'm not here to say it's a good shipp because I don't think it is. This is my blog and I'm critical of that shipp.
And then we have everything that makes kiribaku valid that some people ignore.
1. Starting by first season. Kirishima was the first friend Bakugo had in UA.
2. Since then they've always been close and hanging out.
3. They had Christmas together and in Japan it's romantic.
4. Kirishima is someone Bakugou trusts.
5. We have jokes about them romantically in my hero academia smash. (Yes that counts)
6. Matching clothes in a movie (counts too)
7. Kirishima praises Bakugo everytime and cares a lot about him.
Saying they're not interacting so the shipp can't be canon is too low minded.
And for the ones that respect this shipp I appreciate it 🙂 I'm someone who cares a lot about of demanding Horikoshi and his team about a possible couple to become real. That's why I care so much about kiribaku. We need LGBTQ couples in shounen anime including them! Thank you for reading!
Keep supporting krbk!!

Journalist!y/n has standards. MIDoriya doesn’t meet those standards. Though I kinda want to read her finding out Dynamight started dating Red Riot and she starts simping both of them and ends up getting both
Tumblr media
I like the way you think nonnie. You deserve an emoji [🧨] you're my first btw 🤞🏾. let's discuss some real men shall we ?
pairing; k. bakugo + e. kirishima + you
Part 1
PS: this is super inconsistent because i got carried away with the plot in the beginning but then I remembered that this is supposed to be a quick thirst response so 🤡
TW! Prohero AU, non con/ dub con ( reader is intoxicated), semi-sleazy KRBK, obsessed reader, stalker KRBK but Y/N started it!, reader is recorded without consent, reader is drugged, anal fingering, anal seggs, double pen, borderline mysogynistic <- sounds worse than it actually is in my opinion but I'm FUCKING SICK.
Tumblr media
After your initial encounter with Dynamight was rudely interrupted by MIDoriya, you scurried from the office with your remaining shreds of dignity. Did you regret it? Hell, no. Your wildest fantasies couldn't have prepared you for what it would actually feel like to be fucked by the explosion hero. But, you couldn't help the anxiety that settled in the pit of your stomach once the implications of your actions started crowd your mind.
This man caught you masturbating in his office, then fucked you after acknowledging that you'd been stalking him for the past few months. It was horrifying to say the least. Yes, you were still obsessed but you were also extremely embarrassed and could not shake the ever present feeling of awkwardness that came whenever you imagined the way his scarlet visionaries burned your skin.
So you figured that it'd probably be best to lay off the extracurriculars for a while.
The article was great and earned you tons of notoriety. People were surprised with how candid the hero was with you especially since he usually turned down interviews. The public assumed that you were some investigative genius when in reality you were some crazy stalker that he wanted to make an example of.
Alls fair in love and journalism, you suppose; but, it kind of sucked to get used and discarded like that. From your favorite hero no less !
Anywho!
A few months past and you'd done several high profile interviews since the incident. You tried to keep yourself occupied with work to avoid thinking of your muse but that proved difficult when he had been plastered across various media platforms due to an apparent change in his relationship status.
Have Red Riot and Dynamight finally made it official?
The alleged couple had been spotted out on several “romantic outings” but nothing had been confirmed by either parties PR teams. Various publications turned to you as if you’d have some insider info but alas you were just as in the dark as everyone else.
You’d sworn to yourself that you wouldn’t go back to your old antics but god did they make it tempting. Dynamight alone was always amazing but paired with Red Riot ? The thought of it had you foaming at the mouth. Eijiro Kirishima, the Sturdy Hero, who was named Japan’s most eligible bachelor three years in a row was now romantically attached to the object of your desires. What more could a girl ask for ?
Dignity, but I digress.
Everyone wanted the scoop on the couple and your publisher decided that you were the girl for the job. You tried to weasel your way out of it to no avail. Taking a shot in the dark you called over to Dynamight's agency with every intention of being rejected but to your surprise you were patched through and met with a particularly gruff voice.
The hero had agreed to do the interview on the condition that it be done in his own home over dinner. Stating that he wasn't up to having "the talk" with "that damn Deku" again then asking if you still remembered how to get there. Your cheeks burned at the insinuation, so you nodded dumbly while blurting an overly cheerful, "Yeah! See you soon!" before assaulting the "end call" button.
So now you stood on the familiar yet foreign front porch of the Bakugo estate ringing the doorbell. The door swung open revealing Dynamight in all his scowling glory wearing his signature black tank and cargo pants with a Alien Queen Pinky! ™️ apron wrapped around his slim waist.
"I know you like goin' through the backdoor but this seems more appropriate." He smirks, canines flashing and silver chain swaying as he leans down to guide you inside with a heavy hand splayed on your lower back. “You look good, it’s been a while”.
"Y-yeah, like a couple months if I'm not mistaken. It's good to see you as well". He huffs in response, handing you a pair of fluffy slippers before leading you further into the home. He brings you to a sleek industrialized kitchen and pulls out a barstool to which you offer a polite thanks, making him scoff. Katsuki turns towards the stove and begins interacting with the various pots in pans. It smells divine. You watch curiously from your place at the island. Wanting to cut through the smothering silence but not sure what to say.
"No point in actin' all meek, Princess. We're not exactly strangers". His back is to you, but you can imagine the scowl on his face.
He had a point. A few months ago he had your fluffy bits on display and now you could barely muster a sideways glance.
"Sorry" you breathe, "I guess I'm a bit nervous".
"Because of the stalking or the sex ?" He asks bluntly, leaning forward to rest his forearms on the counter. "Cause m'pretty used to both when it comes to fans. Just not in that order, I guess".
If you could sink into the floor you would but Dynamight's harsh stare told you that you wouldn't be let off the hook that easily. Luckily for you a door slammed followed by the soft padding of feet revealing a very handsome and very shirtless, red-haired hero.
"Oh, hey there! You must be , Y/N. Wow, you're even prettier in person!" You stare dumbly at the tall man. His long hair is damp and light sheen covers his tattooed skin. He wears red sweatpants that hang dangerously low on his waist and a slender gold chain similar to the one worn by the blonde hero.
"Oh! T-thanks, Red Riot. You're pretty too". As soon as the words leave your mouth you cringe but taller man laughs boisterously while casting a knowing grin. “Yeah yeah—you’re both gorgeous, now can we eat?”
Tumblr media
Dinner was delicious—as expected. Katsuki (which he insisted you call him) mentioned that cooking was one of his hobbies with Eijiro adding that Katsuki’s cooking was one of his hobbies as well. The two played off each other well, effortlessly switching between best bros and star crossed lovers in an instant. It was enough to make you swoon.
They’d all but explicitly stated the nature of their relationship and when you asked them if the rumors where true Katsuki gripped the back of Eijiro’s neck and pulled him into a steamy kiss that left a string of saliva connecting them. He then looked directly at your camera and said “you tell me” with a shit eating grin.
Dinner was over and you felt yourself growing restless from the casual PDA being displayed between the two heroes. You had more than enough footage for your interview so you decided to call it a night. However, the two men had other plans.
Eiji insisted that you stay for a glass of wine. Then two. Then three. And before you knew it you were a giggly mess sandwiched between the contrastly sober heroes on their huge Cal king bed. Katsuki had convinced you to spend the night because it’d be irresponsible to let toy drive and Eijiro offered one of his large shirts so that you’d be comfy. And he was such a gentle that he didn’t let you lift a finger. Using his quirk, he slice down your clothing until you were bare trembling. He then slipped the shirt over your head, not bothering with underwear and slotted you against his chest with Katsuki sliding in behind.
"God, you're soft." Eijiro sighed, palming and spreading your ass cheeks with his huge hands. " You didn't tell me she was this soft, bro" he whined, pouting his lips at the blonde who was groping your breasts in a similar fashion.
"Tch, and risk you blowing the plan to shit ? it was hard enough to stop you from breaking in her house after I showed you the video" Katsuki scoffed, still focused on tweaking your puffy nipples.
Eijiro groaned at the memory. Katsuki had already planned on fucking you that day in his office, so he installed cameras to capture the moment. They never expected you to be so slutty and willing and right before he could fully exploit you that damned Deku barged in. The redhead remembers how quickly his cock went flaccid when he saw the frantic greenette mumbling apologies. If that was HIM that walked in on a scene like that he would've fucked you both two ways to Sunday.
After watching the video he just had to see more of you. So the two of them spent days strolling through your social media profiles and jacking off to your pictures. Eijiro couldn't help but wonder what it would be like if you were smiling directly at him instead of the camera. He couldn't help it, he just had to see you in person. Luckily for him, Bakugo knew where you lived. You see, the blonde watched you just as much as you watched him prior to your encounter--he was just better at it. He knew your daily route and all of your favorite spots. The two heroes would go out in hopes of "bumping into you" but it never happened organically. They then settled on stalking your residence and peering at you through the windows. On one particular you were bouncing on a red riot themed dildo while deepthroating a dynamight one and Katsuki had to literally blast his ass out of there so that he wouldn't break the window.
"Please", he rolled his eyes, "a slutty bitch like her would probably get off on it. Wouldn't you, babe?" For the first time in what felt like forever they were actually talking to you instead of over you, but as luck would have it you were too out of it to respond.
Your skin burned and a hazy cloud settled on your mind. It felt like you were drowning but not necessarily in the bad way. Your body was submerged in an ocean of pleasure and every time you thought that you may break the surface, the men changed course making you spin endlessly. Eiji's thick digits speared and spread your asshole while the heated pads of Katsu's fingers ran over your nipples. It felt like you were on fire and the only thing that could douse you was the two men staring down at you. Their voices were distorted but you could just make out Eiji's voice saying, "did we give her too much, seems pretty out of it ?" at least that's what it sounded like but its hard to be sure with the way his fingers were rubbing against your walls. "nah, kinky bitch is probably floatin' in subspace or some shit. she wants this, look at the mess her pussy's makin' on the sheets".
Did you want this ? No doubt about it and the way they just manhandled your body between them had you gushing an obscene amount of slick down your thighs.
"not a thought in that pretty little head. god- you're fuckin' perfect for us" Katsuki groaned, pulling your head back by your hair to spit in your mouth then turning you back to Eijiro who followed suit. Even under the influence, you swallowed immediately earning raspy praise from the men.
"fuck baby I wish you could see yourself " Kirishima whined, slotting your lips together and bullying his tongue in your mouth. Bakugo kissed up your neck and chuckled.
"That can be arranged".
Tumblr media
You woke up bundled in unfamiliar satin sheets that smelled cinnamon and caramel. The room was dark save for the sliver of light pouring the floor to ceiling bedroom window. A glass of juice sat next to a bottle of painkillers on the bedside table with a note that read “drink me”. Now that you thought about it you did feel pretty sore. Being the good girl that you are— you take the pills and head out to find your hosts.
Bakugo and Kirishima were no where to be found but you did a beautifully plated breakfast with a note that read : Goodmorning, gorgeous! We went to run a few errands but we should be back soon. You should go hang in the den until we return.
The friendly tone of the note led you to believe that Kirishima wrote it but it was very friendly considering the two of you just met last night. Speaking of which , you couldn’t remember anything from the night prior.
You settled on the couch trying to rack but it was pointless. You shrugged it off, deciding to dig in and watch tv as the note suggested, but much to your surprise a video was already queued.
The video started with a close up of Bakugo running his tongue across his teeth. He set the camera down and you and kirishima came into view. You were bare—laying across the bed with your head hanging off the edge and your legs spread wide to accommodate the large man between them. Kirishima was nude as well , signature smile adorning his face as he bottomed out in your asshole. Katsuki joined the two of you, lightly tapping your jaw with his cock and pressing it against your tongue. You swallowed around him and clenched down on Eijiro making the men groan in unison. There was no sounds except wet squelching and moans.
You didn’t even realize that you’d started touching yourself until your eyes rolled back in ecstasy and you came with a shout.
A sudden this brought you out of your post orgasmic haze; you whipped your head around seeing the two males surrounded by what seems to be your luggage from home.
“Mind if we cut in ?”

-----My Siren Gets Clean-----
Bakugou brushed a coral comb through Kirishima's hair, allowing himself a moment of peace hidden away in their den.
"Hey."
Bakugou hummed, looking down to see Kirishima's eyes peeking open to stare at him. The bull shark mer immediately smiled once Bakugou met his gaze, the affection clear enough to send a blush to Bakugou's face.
"I wanted to ask…before you did it yourself," Kirishima said, "could I help you this month? With your cleaning?"
If Bakugou had thought he was blushing before, that was nothing compared to now. His face was as red as the tips of his fins as he shoved Kirishima off him.
"The fuck?! You can't just ask to–"
"I'm sorry!" Kirishima shouted over him. "I don't mean to pressure you! If you're not ready–"
"Who said I wasn't ready?!" Bakugou demanded.
"No one, I just mean that it's a really personal ask, if you want to wait, that's totally cool! Or if you never want my help, that's also fine! I'm sorry I brought it up so suddenly."
Bakugou crossed his arms, embarrassed and frustrated. He wasn't angry at Kirishima; it was a fair ask since they'd been courting for months, and they'd both already accepted the courtship for good. It was just an embarrassing thing for Bakugou.
Sirens–unlike most marine species–tended to sing while sitting on reefs or rocks or other things above the waterline. They were one of the few species able to stay in the air for extended periods. However, the trade off of this was that on occasion they had to clean off any pesky barnacles or algae that clung to them in…delicate places due to the constant transition between spaces. Bakugou honestly hated that time of the month, and if he wasn't so careful about maintaining his own health, he might even skip it for the awkwardness alone. There were…certain areas that required additional eyes and hands to get to, and he despised letting other sirens assist. Most of them avoided him when it came time for the task, though he had a handful of other mer he would forcibly wrangle into helping him, depending on which was the least painful at the time.
So no, he wasn't mad that Kirishima might be interested in helping him. He was more mad that it was even necessary. Still, the longer he thought about it, it would probably be less painful to direct Kirishima in where to look versus having to deal with Uraraka's chipper attitude or stupid Deku's constant muttering about him changing colors or new fin growth.
"This isn't a yes," Bakugou warned, pointing at him, "but it's not a no either. Let me think about it."
Kirishima beamed, bumbling closer in the already tight den so he could wrap Bakugou up in his arms, accidentally scraping Bakugou's lower half with the rough hide of his tail. "Whatever your choice, I'll accept," Kirishima promised, as if Bakugou had any doubt. "I'm really happy you'd even consider it."
"Well fuck, you're going to be my mate, aren't you?" Bakugou mumbled, looking away. "Not like you won't see everything eventually anyways."
Kirishima squeezed him even harder, like he couldn't contain his enthusiasm at the idea.
…..
"Fuck, okay," Bakugou said, fins fluttering stiffly. "You're a brute, so be fucking careful, alright? I don't need my backside fileted. Most sirens use shells to get the barnacles off, but you can probably manage fine with your nails since they're so hard." Bakugou studied Kirishima's hand, not at all stalling.
"Hey," Kirishima called, gently pushing Bakugou's head up until he met his gaze. "I promise to be gentle. I want to help you, Katsuki." He leaned closer, nuzzling under an earfin, softly setting his teeth against his skin in a shark's kiss.
Bakugou sighed, relaxing against him. "Okay," he agreed. Kirishima smiled, nipping his jaw before he grabbed Bakugou by his hips and turned him around.
There was a level of humiliation when it came to his monthly cleaning that Bakugou hated. Having to swim upside down was awkward enough, but having to flare out all of his fins and leaving himself on display while someone inspected him wasn't his idea of a good time. Bakugou, in another unfortunate genetic lottery fact, was related to the lionfish species, meaning he had a lot of fins, which was the main reason he wasn't able to get to them all by himself.
Bakugou tried to just put it all outside his mind as he had to do every month when Deku or Uraraka handled this for him, and he rolled over, fanning out his fins for Kirishima's assessment.
"Wow."
Kirishima's quiet exclamation immediately had him on high alert, tensing.
"What?" He demanded harshly. "Just because I'm–"
"You're beautiful," Kirishima said, cutting through Bakugou's defensiveness with his quiet adoration. His hands brushed across a few of the thinner fins, leaving Bakugou shivering. "Are you steady? You can hold onto my tail if that helps."
Kirishima started to comb his fingers through the forest of prickly fins from Bakugou's tail. At the first catch of a stray barnacle, Kirishima's fingers deftly plucked it off without pause, and Bakugou was immediately sent reeling at such a soft touch compared the shell-fight the others usually had to put up with to get him clean. He slammed his eyes shut at the well of vulnerability, reaching out blindly for the shark mer's tail and just hanging on, not unlike a seahorse tangled with its mate. He took a few deep breaths, relaxing against the other as two more barnacles were removed from their annoying hiding spot, Kirishima soothing the irritated scales with his fingers before moving on.
Cleaning Bakugou took hours of meticulous work, but Kirishima didn't complain once. He even started humming partway through, and Bakugou could feel the sounds thrumming through his entire body. He didn't feel uncomfortable and adrift anymore; he just felt held, cared for. Kirishima's touch was never aggressive and he was methodical in moving through Bakugou's fins so he didn't miss a single spot. Eventually Bakugou's tail found itself wrapped over the shark mer's shoulder, the blond siren completely lax against Kirishima who wasn't even slightly phased at having to hold Bakugou's weight while grooming the blond's tail.
"Almost done, I think," Kirishima murmured quietly, one hand resting on the small of Bakugou's back as he held the other close while his other hand combed through the last of Bakugou's dorsal fins and spines.
Bakugou could only hum in response, feeling too settled to do anything else.
"There we go," Kirishima announced, now just holding Bakugou. "You okay?"
"I'm good," Bakugou said drowsily, blinking slowly.
"Wasn't so bad," Kirishima teased him, gently coaxing him back upright. "You're usually ready to fight whenever you have a cleaning, but now you're just a jellyfish puddle. Are you sure I did it right?"
"You did it fucking perfectly," Bakugou assured him, wiggling and twisting his tail and spines to make sure he couldn't feel any barnacles still clinging to him. He felt cleaner than usual even, like Kirishima may have found a few hanger-ons that had been missed in prior months.
Kirishima smiled, hands resting on Bakugou's hips. "I did? So I can do it again, maybe?"
Bakugou actually looked at him then, surprised to see genuine pleasure and hope on his face. Siren cleaning was a boring chore every month, why would he want to do it when he didn't have to?
"I guess," Bakugou agreed with a shrug, "if you want to. Whatever. Sure."
Kirishima's tail wriggled happily and he immediately swept Bakugou into a tight embrace. "Thanks, Katsuki! I promise to do my best every time!"
Bakugou blinked, a bit taken aback by his enthusiasm, but slowly managed to relax into his hold. "Idiot," he accused, even as he softly ran his clawed hands up the other's strong back, returning the hug.
He'd never understand shark mers.

"STALKER?? I'M CONFUSED??"
I just remembered how some people (they know who they are) like to call Izuku "stalker", specifically Katsuki's "stalker" when... he's totally not.
Observant, yes.
But stalker?
This kid doesn't even follow people to their houses, steal clothes or make phone calls so he can just breathe on the other end and hang up.
At best, he was around Katsuki as little kids because THEY DID LIVE IN THE SAME AREA, HELLO. But as they got older? It is clearly shown he was a loner. He was outcasted. By coincidence, he was in the same area when the Sludge Villain attacked Katsuki.
Hell, even once they get to Yuuei, we see Izuku making his own friends and shows no sign of being jealous of Katsuki having relationships with Kirishima or the other kids. He even acknowledges it. Even with Kaminari, he doesn't tell him not to call Katsuki "Kacchan", which Kaminari doesn't even do often.
In class, he doesn't even seem to care that he's sitting behind Bakugou. He's just there! You know how in those films where the girl is conveniently seated behind her crush and she swoons? Yeah, I haven't seen Izuku do that. He just pays attention to whatever teacher is teaching the lesson and even when class is out of session, he's joining in other conversations or thinking about his training.
And it's not like Katsuki is the only one Midoriya takes notes on. Notably, his kicks are Iida-inspired and later he even takes a page out of Asui's book. Also, hello, he is also an All Might fan and his (punching) moves are literally the same moves as All Might's, just with a twist.
At best, Midoriya is just curious and takes in information like it's cake. He asks questions, he pays attention. The content of why he does it isn't ill-intent. He's a student and learning as a student does. Be it math or heroics.
But "stalker"?
Oh no. I don't know about ya'll, but it wasn't Midoriya listening in on other people's conversations. I'm just saying.
Really I just think it's anti - BkDks and anti - Midoriya’s (can't believe they even exist) throwing in something to make their own faves and ships look better.
Which you don't have to?
When and why in the fuck did shipping become competition?
That's not even fun.
If anything, it just damages the value of the characters (be it a character you like or hate) and story because people just can't handle that there is a ship others like other than their own. Oh, how awful!
Seriously though, Izuku doesn't have to be your favorite character nor do you have to practically care for him, but calling him "stalker" is so far-fetched to me. Just my opinion. He ain't an obstacle to your ship, chill. It's not some competition or whatever, relax.
It's fiction.
Also, I remember seeing how someone saying that BkDks are trying to force Izuku and Katsuki to be friends or more or something along those lines. I don't really remember and don't care to. Just...
When the hell was this and what side of the fandom were you on?
Last time I checked, shippers don't have no power over what THE CREATOR, KOHEI HORIKOSHI, does with his damn story. And if you're seeing toxic BkDk shippers, every ship has those toxic shippers, then get the fuck away from them! Because trust me, there are some shippers that may ship BkDk but they probably like other ships, too, or just wanna talk about a funny meme they found, or even gush about their favorite fight scene. All without the need to talk about BkDk.
Example, I do like KiriBaku, but I have moots that don't. I don't mind it because I can still talk to them about the latest episode or a headcanon I have. At the end of the day, I don't lose sleep and I'm not crying because "Wah, my moots don't like my ship". They don't like KrBk, so what? There's more to BNHA than some damn ships.
Overall, I just don't see the need to mischaracterize characters and twist the story because of ships. It's just stupid to me. 🤷🏿‍♀️

20 Q's for Fic Writers
Thanks @spacejammie-eimmajecaps fren for the tag :3
1. How many works do you have on Ao3?
I currently have 12! 11 from this year, and 1 published in 2014
2. What's your total Ao3 word count?
78, 238! (75, 322 from this year)
3. What fandoms do you write for?
I mainly write for Haikyuu, My Hero Academia and Bluelock, but have also published for BG3 + Buddy Daddies. And I have some JJK in the wips
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Just the Way You Like It (kngr, bllk): 150 Miri's First Swimming Lesson (buddy daddies): 133 Cater to You (kngr, bllk): 116 Interlude: The Senses of You (kazurei, buddy daddies): 113 Strategies for Play (bokuakakuroiwa, haikyuu): 85
I am still a baby writer but I hold all of my little kudos to my heart very fondly
5. Do you respond to comments?
Most of the time I will respond, yes!
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Oooh... I don't know that I write angsty endings. Usually it's angst all the way till the end. Maybe Interlude: The Senses of You as although there's comfort at the end there's also lots of crying? I think overall it's my most angsty fic as well
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Hmmm... most of them have happy endings so idk... maybe Strategies for Play bc Kuroo's "masterplan" worked and it ends post great sex with everyone cuddling in bed being super cute?
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Nope, not ever received hate on my fics but I have received hate about my fics on here (the Astarion one)
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Most of what I write tends to be smut lmao. And I guess all kinds but usually with some kind of bdsm/kink dynamics to them? 4 of my published fics are smut (cater to you, he was made to be broken, strategies for play, and the miya atsumu humilation show), and an additional 1 has some sexual content in it (just watch me). My more "risque" content is currently languishing in my wips waiting to be finished (yeah i'm looking at you inumaki/itadori/sukuna fic)
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
Yes, but none of them have been published yet LMAO. I can't tell you about one of them that'll be published soon for the They Were Roommates big bang, but I did/do have a bluelock/D&D cross over that's probably the "craziest" one (and also SO much fun to plan). Deep in my wips I also have a BokuAka Greek Mythology AU and sketches for a Haikyuu/Dirty Dancing AU
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Hope not!
12. There was no question 12 so I'll make one up myself: What's the longest you've ever spent working on one fic? And the shortest?
LMAO. I love this because who made this one up? idk! If we're going by published fics then The Miya Atsumu Humiliation Show took me from May to October 2023 (5 months), and I've been working on my TWRRMs bang fic since May (currently 6 months). I've also been planning/writing Fire On the Horizon since Jan 2023!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I've co-created a fic, as in coming up with the idea with another person, and I've also co-created in the sense of working with beta readers for bang fics. I've not co-written anything yet though, but I would love to!
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
Nooo... what a cruel question. I'll give you my top 5 bc I simply cannot choose: krbk (kirishima/bakugou), stsg (gojo/geto), skts (sakusa/atsumu), bkak (bokuto/akaashi), bokuroo (bokuto/kuroo)
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
gods. So many of them tbh... I might one day muster the will to finish he was made to be broken. I want to finish the kunichi (kunigami/raichi) one but idk if I will ever get round to it. And the bllk/D&D one would take a lot of work, but maybe if/when I get back into bllk that'd help
16. What are your writing strengths?
I always struggle with this question bc I have really bad writing insecurities but recently I've been able to conclude that I think I'm reasonably good at comedic writing (people tend to find my fics quite funny), emotive writing (I make people cry/feel Emotions, even if said people don't usually when reading fics), and descriptive writing (I get lots of compliments that people can visualise exactly what I've described)
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
idk if it's a "true" weakness but I'm always paranoid that my dialogue is weak as balls. I also don't have much experience with writing long fic, and thus also character + plot development, but this is something I wanna work on. Oh, the biggest one is probs confidence in myself though!
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I think it sounds like a cool idea if it works within the context!
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Hahaha so technically I think the first fandom I ever wrote for was Spyro the Dragon when I was like... 6 or 7. On Ao3 though it was Harry Potter in 2014. When I returned to writing in 2022, the first one was My Hero Academia
20. Favourite fic you've written?
Oooooooooh. I think my favourite is Strategies for Play. I adored writing it and it was the easiest one I've ever written. Plus writing Bokuto/Akaashi/Kuroo/Iwaizumi dynamics was *chefs kiss*. Otherwise, the [redacted] TWRMMs bang fic I'm writing at the moment is one I've had lots of fun with and am excited to share (very, very soon!) Just Watch Me is also one of my favourites bc krbk my beloveds and it's the one that brought me back to fic writing so its v dear to my heart Tagging some of my fave writery friends as I'd love to read their answers, but join in too if ya want!: @mari-writes, @mooifyourecows, @axreliono, @ciunasboinin, @howlsmovinglibrary

heyyy on the topic of your writing and krbk, your writing got me into krbk right around the end of high school and having them around has brought a lot of happiness and nice things into my life through all the years since then! and pulled a lot of urge to write out of me as well! i always find your thoughts on the pursuit of happiness interesting and really resonate w the idea of chasing what brings you joy at the time and accepting that the past is the past. i'll always be happy to have found your writing when i did (honestly a lot of krbk i read back then doesn't resonate the same anymore but yours somehow doesn't get old) and hope you keep finding things that bring you joy! :)
good for you! yeah some characters and ships become inevitably weaved into periods of our life for a lot of chronically online people (including us apparently) and that's fine! it's like everything else - it's good and then it ends. doesn't mean it didn't happen. doesn't mean it shouldn't matter. it was there! what more could we possibly ask for!
I'm on a similar page, most of what I've re-read doesn't ring the same bell as it used to, and that's fine. the intensity I remember feeling is still out there, I can still find it (in me, in others, in places and moments). I've also re-read some of my own work and I look on it fondly, even though now I can see through it more clearly. it's so corny and often not deep enough and almost always unbalanced but I loved writing it at the time and that's the important part.
I keep finding things that bring me joy yes!! and I cherish all of it. one day it'll be gone and on that day I'll be glad it happened.

Tbh I'm more of a tdbk or krbk shipper I'm not a bkdk shipper i might have found those theories interesting before because bakugo's cluster look so similar to the OFA light and his eyes looked like the time he had OFA with deku, other than that I'm not really fond of these theories either i just want bakugo to have an amazing arc like todoroki and surpass OFA power with his own power. I don't want deku to take responsibility for everything! But his eyes definitely looked like the time he had OFA in heroes rising don't you think ?I'm not linking it to the ancestral or reincarnation theories though.
Sorry, I shouldn't have assumed shipping preferences. I see reincarnation mostly as a fanfic trope that shippers like because it makes them feel validated that their couple is meant to be together no matter the world. (I personally don't get it, because to me "I freely choose you" is a 1000x more powerful than "it was written in the stars" - but we all have our tastes).
I do get some Heroes Rising vibes from this chapter, which for me personally is not that good news, because I may be the only person in the fandom who didn't like Heroes Rising that much and didn't particularly like what it did with Bakugou either.
It was a great storyline for Deku that was really coherent with his arc and personality, but he was driving the win. Bakugou was badass, sure, at fighting and looked cool with OFA, but got a power-up because of Deku's idea and selflessness and the win in every sense was Deku's win. The equality between them was aesthetics level only.
Bakugou didn't even get the agency to return OFA of his own free will, but All Might "prayed it out of him".
So to me, it felt like pure fanservice that didn't actually respect much Bakugou as a character and didn't actually highlight his strengths or growth.
I preferred his fight in WHM, where at least he really got to do it all on his own with both his power, technique and creativity.

20 Questions for Fic Writers
Tagged by @jazwritesalot. Thank you! 🥹🫶
1. How many works do you have on A03? 120!!
2. What's your total Ao3 word count? 497,454. I have over 25k I haven't posted on A03 though so tack that on and I'm looking at roughly 520k in total.
3. What fandoms do you write for? I currently write for BNHA/ MHA. I used to write for Durarara, HP, Fruits Basket but that was a looooong time ago when I was in my teens lol
4. What are your top five fics by kudos? Fair warning: most of them are NSFW. 1) Take a Bite of Me, 2) Another Day, Another F*ck, 3) more than a learning curve, 4) Need Your Touch, 5) Wrong Size
5. Do you respond to comments? I try to, but I get extremely lazy after a bit and then months later, I respond.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? It would have to be my MCD KRBK fic that I never posted on AO3. It's on Twitter in full but both of them end up dying in the end, one earlier than the other.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Almost all my fics have a happy ending but the happiest one I have thus far is "more than a learning curve". It's completely self indulgent so I wanted it to end in a cute way 🥺
8. Do you get hate on fics? I've only thankfully gotten it once and it was on a collaboration fic. I don't let that stuff bother me though 💜
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Absolutely. Almost 3/4 of my fics on AO3 and Twitter are explicit. I have the most fun writing them.
10. Do you write crossovers? Nope. I don't watch/read enough or have enough creativity to do something like that.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Once. I was very young and found it when searching for my fic title online. It was under a different name and everything. I was so upset that I deleted the fic on my end and stopped completely.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Nada. But I would be over the moon if it ever happened. I would need to give approval first before anything, though. I don't want to come across it one day and nothing was said to me, y'know?
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Yes! I've done several actually. Some haven't ever been posted publicly but I have a few on AO3 like "Challenge Accepted" and "Pain and Pleasure" that I did with some mutuals on Twitter. It was very fun and I adore doing it 🥰
14. What's your all time favorite ship? KiriBaku! They have my heart in a chokehold. I'm trying to get into others from different fandoms but this one is hard to top.
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Hidden Behind a Whisper. I loved loved writing this one when I started and I do go and add some from time to time but I've lost half the motivation I had when I first began. It's sad 😭
16. What are your writing strengths? Dialogue and action scenes. The way I write is like imagining a movie scene, and I write each movement someone makes and go from there. In example, Kirishima putting a hand around Bakugou's waist, Izuku kissing Ochako's forehead, things like that.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Repetitiveness. I tend to say the same thing over and over and have to copy paste my document into a website to see which words are used more than they should. Half the time it's either "that", "just", or "but".
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? If you feel it would add more to your story, speak to someone that knows and is fluent in that language and can read over the dialogue to be sure it is correct. Do NOT use Google translate. It's hardly accurate and a terrible source for translation.
19. First fandom you wrote for? HP. It was a Dramione fic and I was I think 14? It's still up online to this day 💀
20. Favorite fic you've written? "more than a learning curve" if we're talking mildly mature. "Need Your Touch" for Explicit.
I tag whoever sees this and would like to participate! 🫶🫶

Mornings Can Suck
🧡~KiriBaku Drabble~❤️
Content Warning: hints at manga spoilers, exhaustion, despair, frustration, a sprinkle of krbk to make it better
Summary: Kirishima struggles with his morning routine due to recent events.
Word Count: 1848
Additional Note: This piece was brought to you by one part projecting onto my favorite characters and one part noticing how Kirishima still gels his hair even though he looks tired as shit. I haven't read all of the manga yet but I have a vague idea of what happened along with some more accurate bits of details so if there are inconsistencies I'm very sorry, I just really wanted to write this as soon as I thought of it.
Kirishima wakes up to his phone blaring horribly loud chimes above his head. He groans as he feels for his phone on his headboard.
He hates this alarm. But he had to change it from his usual pump-up music because he was starting to sleep through that and then would wake up to Bakugou kicking his door and yelling at him to "hurry the hell up." Well... more like just raising his voice at him. Bakugou hasn't been his usual loud self recently.
But then at that point, it would be too late for Kirishima to do his hair. He has to do his hair.
He finally grabs his phone off of his headboard and cracks his eyes open to hit the snooze button– just in case he dozes off, which he probably will if this morning were to go like any other morning from the past couple weeks.
He's just so fucking tired.
Every morning from the past two weeks it feels like an invisible force is holding every single one of his limbs hostage, preventing them from moving. It's a mental battle to move and get out of bed every morning, and he's sick of it. He's sick of feeling like this.
He feels a lump in his throat start to form and tears begin to gather in the corner of his eyes. He moves his head so his face is squished into his pillow. He tries to will away the sudden urge to cry, tells himself there's no reason to cry. But then he remembers... yeah, there actually is.
So this morning, instead of falling back asleep, he uses his extra ten minutes to sob into his pillow.
His alarm rudely interrupts his cathartic crying episode and he shuts it off immediately before the sound threatens to fill him with rage. He looks down at his pillow. It's wet from all the tears, snot, and spit that leaked out of him. He simply sighs and makes a mental note to change the pillowcase later before he goes to bed.
He uses his arms to force himself to sit up. That's good. Once he's able to sit up, getting out of bed is the slightest bit more manageable. He rubs his face to get rid of the dried tears that his pillowcase didn't soak up as he lets out a big yawn. Then, finally, one leg after another, he swings his feet over the edge of his bed and slowly stands up.
He trudges over to his tiny bathroom.
Okay... step one, the hardest step, is done. He tries to mentally praise himself even if he feels like he doesn't deserve it. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. Today it doesn't.
Step two: use the toilet. An easy one. One he doesn't ever struggle with. He washes his hands once he's done– ugh. He forgot to flush. So he flushes and then washes his hands a second time.
Step three: brush his teeth. The level of difficulty with this one isn't too bad. But damn, this morning just really sucks. He stands still in front of his sink for a moment, trying to will himself to just fucking do it already.
He's successful after a solid minute.
Step four:
"Deep breath Eijirou."
He does as he tells himself.
Step four: hair.
He really doesn't feel like doing his hair today. But he has to. He knows if he skips out on his hair he'll just feel worse throughout the day. He needs to accomplish this one goal.
"Be manly. Crimson Riot believes in you. Crimson Riot believes in Red Riot."
He takes another deep breath as he reaches for his hair gel. Then he gets to work, all the while ignoring the black roots that are beginning to become more noticeable every day.
He did it, but... it looks off. It looks dumb.
His eyebrows knit together as he criticizes the spikes. Some are too big, some are too small. There's an area where there's too many spikes and an area where there isn't enough.
He begins to frantically try and fix it. It's not working. It still looks dumb. The spikes are just not coming together and now it feels like there's too much gel in his hair and it looks gloopy in some places and some pieces of hair won't fucking cooperate and–
"FUCK!"
He throws his jar of hair gel to the side and it hits the wall to his right with a loud bang.
"Shit," he mumbles.
He quickly walks out of the bathroom to reach for his phone until he remembers there's a shit ton of hair gel on his hands and then he's growling and going back to wash his hands again. With clean hands he sends a quick text to his next door neighbor.
Me [6:48 am]
sorry...
Bakubro [6:49 am]
wtf was that
Me [6:49 am]
just hair gel
Bakubro [6:50 am]
?
Me [6:50 am]
bad hair day
Kirishima sighs, puts his phone down, and walks back to the bathroom to fix the mess that is his hair today.
He uses a washcloth to wipe some of the excess gel out of his hair and then tosses it to the side. The cloth will definitely be stiff and crunchy later but oh well. He manages to get his spikes to look decent and is able to put his two little horns in their proper place. It's a bit better, but he can't spend any more extra time on it or he'll make him and Bakugou late for breakfast and then he'll get yelled- er- grumbled at.
Kirishima completes the last step in his routine by changing his clothes. He picks out comfy sweatpants and his favorite Crimson Riot t-shirt that was starting to get a little small on him. It was probably time to retire the old, worn out tee as it was getting quite snug on his shoulders but he really needed the little pick-me-up today.
He sits down on his bed for one last moment to collect his thoughts and calm down a bit. He closes his eyes and spends the next few minutes taking deep breaths…
It’s weird…
He feels like he’s on hero duty everyday. He may not be wearing his costume or patrolling the city but he’s still putting on some sort of mask everyday.
This is what he signed up for though. To be a hero. And he’s accepted the responsibility to be a hero in any way he can.
Right now, being a hero means being a shoulder to cry on, doing little favors for others to take the load off their backs, being a candle during a very long, very dark night.
He may not be able to burn as bright as the sun these days but he’s doing his absolute best to be there for his friends. Unifying everyone… and he means everyone.
They’re going to get him back. He believes it. He has to believe it.
So screw his shitty morning. That’s behind him now. He’s going to have breakfast with his friends and be that candle they can source comfort from.
A couple loud thuds on his door shakes him out of his mental pep talk.
“Oi, hurry the hell up.”
He jolts out of his bed to go meet his best friend on the other side of his door. When he opens it, he has a strange sense of relief and sadness.
He’s so grateful Bakugou is alive. He thanks the universe every single day. But he looks so incredibly tired. Kirishima wishes he could take his pain away from him, he would bear it all for him if he could. Although, he knows Bakugou wouldn’t want that. He wouldn’t want to be pitied or babied. Kirishima doesn’t see it that way, but he understands Bakugou’s thought process. He still reaches out and offers help in ways he hopes Bakugou will accept.
“Good morning, Bakugou.” Kirishima greets his friend with a gentle smile.
“Morning.”
He notices Bakugou’s eyes shift up for a brief second to look at his hair and can’t help but start to feel a little self conscious. Was he not able to fix it well enough? Did it still look like a mess? Shit.. maybe he should’ve take a couple extra minutes on it-
“Your hair looks as shitty as usual.”
Oh. So it was perfectly fine then. He let out a short breath he wasn’t even aware he was holding at Bakugou’s words.
“Oh, thanks man. I fixed it as best as I could.”
“Mm. Let’s go. You’re probably starving.”
He kinda wasn’t today in all honesty, but he knew he had to eat.
They start walking down the hall towards the elevator.
“How’d you sleep last night?” Kirishima decides to take a chance on getting a truthful answer today.
“Fine.”
No dice.
He knows his best friend isn’t getting good sleep. He can see it on his face, underneath his eyes, and hears it in the middle of the night when he wakes up to Bakugou yelling— like last night.
“Mm.” Kirishima responds.
Then he hears Bakugou let out a frustrated sigh. “You better fucking swear to not tell anybody, got it?”
“I fucking swear.”
All he gets is a tired side glance from red eyes.
“I’m— ugh… Dammit… I’m having nightmares again. Last night was different and really fucking creepy.”
“How so? Or uh— you don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.”
“I know that,” Bakugou grumbles and then waits another moment until they’re inside the elevator to speak again. “I… dreamed that my teeth were like- fucking, I don’t even know- receding back into my gums or whatever.”
“Ew, that is creepy.” Kirishima shivers from imagining the feeling of such a thing happening to him.
“Yeah… no clue what that was about.”
“We could always ask Tokoyami. He’s really into dream interpretations. Maybe there’s a meaning behind it.”
“No.”
“Why not? Or hey, I can do it and I’ll just, uh, say I was the one who had the dream.”
The elevator dinged and the doors opened to let the two exit.
“No. I can ask myself. So why were you throwing your hair gel earlier?” Bakugou probably just asked to change the subject, which was fine. Kirishima knows not to press any further.
“Like I said man, bad hair day. It just wasn’t cooperating and I got a little frustrated.”
“A little?”
“Alright. Very frustrated. My mornings have… well… they’ve been off I guess. It’s alright though, it’ll be fine. There are more important things to worry about than shitty mornings, right?”
Bakugou stops walking and gives him a straight look, right into his eyes, like he’s trying to figure something out from Kirishima’s words. Then he grunts and continues walking again.
Kirishima barely hears his next words.
“Take care of yourself, Kirishima. Or you’ll get burnt out and won’t be able to perform at your best.”
Kirishima feels the flame of his candle grow just a tad bit bigger.

If you don’t know or didn’t look up the meaning of Bakugou’s dream, here it is: https://www.thecut.com/amp/article/dream-about-teeth-falling-out-losing.html
[[If you dreamed that your teeth started retreating back into your gums …
“That one is big-time connected to really wishing you could take back what you said. You wish you could just erase it. ‘Ugh, I can’t believe that I said that, what can I do to take this back?’ That one also can be fear of speaking up. I’m afraid to speak up about whatever this issue is. So instead of letting it out, I’m like pulling back completely.”]]

Feral, Baku-centric fic idea
So I already tried to write this once but then my computer decided to shut down on me and I didn’t save it so here is attempt two. Good golly, I hope you guys like it. So this is going to be me tell you the basic idea for the story in slight vague, but detailed detail. Got it? I hope so. Here we go. (And I swear I’m going to save after every paragraph.)
So the story starts off with Pro Hero Dynamight doing hero stuff, patrolling, begrudgingly assisting people with not really hero things, and stuff like that. Then he gets an alert of a villain attack a little while away involving Pro Hero Red Riot. Dynamight blasts off to assist in the fight, but when he gets here, all he sees is Red Riot rampaging through the streets, flipping cars, endangering the lives of several civilians and injuring several heroes in the process. Dynamight asks the other heroes on the scene what happened and they say that they don’t really know what happened. One moment, Red Riot had the villain pinned and was getting ready to handcuff him and the next he was attacking everyone around him.
Dynamight tries to restrain Red Riot but is severely injured in the process. Suddenly, Deku shows up, after also being alerted of the need of assistance, and he quickly subdues Red Riot and puts quirk-resistant cuff on him. Bakugou is taken to the hospital, meanwhile Red Riot wakes up and is immediately interrogated. Kirishima says that he has no idea what happened and that he doesn’t remember ever attacking anyone else other than the villain that he supposedly caught. The interrogators inform Red Riot that not only did he let the villain escape, he also caused extensive damaged to public property, endangered the lives of many citizens as well as injured several other Pro Heroes that were on the scene, including Dynamight.
Deku believes that Kirishima wouldn’t attack without reason and that something had to have happened in the fight to make Kirishima act that way. Deku asks if they could do some tests on Kirishima to see if there was some sort of drug or quirk activity that caused Kirishima to act the way that he did. There were a few tests done, but all of them came back to show that there was no drug or quirk induced anything that made Kirishima act the way that he did. Deku and Kirishima couldn’t believe it, but without further evidence to prove Kirishima’s innocence, Red Riot was officially arrested and sent to a maximum security prison.
Bakugou wakes up in the hospital about a week after Red Riot is arrested and learns of Kirishima’s fate through the Bakusquad, who all have been denied when asked if they could see Kirishima. Bakugou is pissed. After leaving the hospital, he also tries to get in to see Kirishima but is denied entry. After refusing to leave until he see Kirishima, Bakugou is forcefully escorted off the premises and is met outside by Deku who was called to take him. Bakugou and Deku head back to the hotheaded one’s apartment where Deku tells him everything about the interrogation before Kirishima was arrested. Bakugou is convinced that there must be some way to prove Kirishima’s innocence and that the first thing that they should do is find the villain who attack Red Riot in the first place.
After a day and a half in the agency office (ignoring requests for him to go on patrol), squinting at security feeds from the area surrounding the villain attack with Red Riot, Bakugou finally got a general ID for the villain, who seemed to be an average Joe that had no previous criminal record. Bakugou searched several more security feeds before he found a recent one of the guy in the next city over. Bakugou packed a small bag and went to hunt the guy down.
It was fairly simple to find the guy. He was wandering from alley to alley, avoiding major streets when he could. Bakugou stopped him and after a moment of Bakugou convincing the panicking man that he wouldn’t arrest him if he told him all he knew, the man immediately started to give him details of what he last remembered before the fight with Red Riot.
The man claimed that he was just having a drink at his local hangout when a lady bumped into him when he was on his way out and she accidentally blew some of her make up powder at his face. He described the woman to Bakugou before he told him that shortly after the woman left his sight to go into the club, he tried to brush the powder off his jacket, but then blacked out and when he woke up, he was half naked in an alley in the next city over. Bakugou asked where the club he went to was located and the man immediately gave him the address. Bakugou told the man to stay low for right now and that he was going to get to the bottom of whatever was going on.
Bakugou returns to his apartment where he finds Deku who doesn’t look happy. Bakugou tries to ignore the man, but Deku starts asking him what his problem is. Bakugou gets mad, telling Deku that his problem is that Kirishima is obviously the nicest guy on the face of the planet and that he wouldn’t hurt a fly and something had to have happened to make Kirishima act the way that he did. He tells Deku that he may have a lead to what caused the rampage. He says that the guy that first attacked was possibly drugged at a local club by a woman. Deku asks Bakugou if he arrested the man who attacked and got a little more mad when Bakugou told him that he didn’t. Bakugou explains that he doesn’t think the man is guilty because the man was probably drugged by this woman and if he found the woman he could figure out what the drug was.
Deku tried to explain to Bakugou that Kirishima was tested to see if there were any drugs in his system, but everything came out negative. Bakugou countered that if the powder that the man was attacked with and that Kirishima may have accidentally inhaled were actually quirk based, that it may not appear on any test. They would need a specially made test to figure it out and in order to get the test made, they would need a sample of the powder first. Deku wasn’t convinced and told Bakugou that he needed to take some time off because he was obviously stressed and was just going to work himself to the bone.
Bakugou told Deku to feck off and that he didn’t care. He needed to get Kirishima out because he knew that he didn’t belong in prison. Deku left Bakugou’s apartment. The next night, Bakugou left to go to the club that the man had told him about, undercover. Bakugou went up to a few people who worked at the establishment and asked them if they knew of the woman that Bakugou described to them. Most of them said that they didn’t know anything, but one man told Bakugou that he should keep his nose in his own business. Bakugou insisted that the man tell him where he could find the woman. The man grabbed a napkin and a pen and wrote down and address. Bakugou looked at the address and found it barely legible, but when he went to clarify the address with the man, Bakugou was met with a cloud of dust in his face instead.
Coughing, Bakugou quickly left the club out the back door and nearly ran face first into none other than Deku. Concerned, Deku asks Bakugou if he is alright. Bakugou quickly tells Deku to feck off and not to breath in the dust on him. Deku takes a step back before he goes to take off Bakugou’s jacket, but before he could, Bakugou blacked out.
When Bakugou woke up, he found himself in Deku apartment in quirk-resistant handcuffs. Bakugou started shouting at Deku asking what happened. Deku explained to him that when he tried to carefully take the jacket off of Bakugou, the hotheaded one started attacking him. Deku had quickly lured him away from the busy street and into a large parking lot that held very few cars where they spent almost an hour “sparring”. Bakugou tells Deku that he doesn’t remember anything and Deku believes him. Bakugou asks what happened to the jacket and if it still had any of the powder on it. Deku goes into his office and grabs a large evidence bag that held Bakugou’s jacket with traces of a light powder on the collar and shoulders. Deku says that he is going to ask Hatsume to take a look at the powder and see if she would be able to make some sort of blood test that specifically looked for the chemicals in the powder in the blood stream.
Bakugou asked Deku what should they do now. Deku suggested that Bakugou go to the agency to explain what he has found out and that he would take the jacket to Hatsume later that evening. Bakugou didn’t think it was a good idea to go since the last time they tried to prove the innocence of someone under the influence of this specific drug, Kirishima had gotten arrested. Deku understood, but told Bakugou that if he kept keeping things secret from the agency, people were going to start getting suspicious. Deku told Bakugou that people were already thinking the worst about Bakugou and that his current attitude as of late was just making things worse.
Bakugou was very against the idea, but eventually Deku practically escorted Bakugou to the agency where they immediately took Bakugou in to question him about some social media recordings of a very recent fight between Dynamight and Deku. Bakugou said that he was at a club nearby, trying to relax and that when he decided to leave, he saw Deku and told him that he wanted to spar. So the two of them decided to go to a parking lot and they fought.
Partly lying, but also partly the truth, Deku told a similar story that he went to go find Bakugou at a local club and when he stumbled out, he was covered in dust and was suddenly itching for a fight with him. The interrogator with Deku asked him if either him or Bakugou still had the jacket with the dust on it. Deku told him that he did have it in an evidence bag in his apartment and that he was planning on taking it to a lab to have tests done. The interrogator asks that Deku immediately give them the evidence and that they would take care of it. Deku was hesitant, but after a short conversation about how they were all on the same side and that no one at the agency wanted to think about what would happen if Deku started withholding evidence from them.
Feeling slightly threatened, Deku agreed to give them the jacket and left to wait outside for Bakugou. The interrogator with Bakugou was convinced that Bakugou didn’t spar with Deku, but instead attacked Deku. However, Bakugou had evidence from years before from working with Deku that sometimes he and Deku would just fight and spar spontaneously and that it was normal behavior and it didn’t give them a good enough reason to try and arrest him.
Agreeing, they let Bakugou leave and he quickly met up with Deku. The two of them left the agency to return to the apartment where Deku almost immediately grabbed the jacket and tried to leave. Bakugou asked him where he was going with the evidence and Deku quickly explained that it would be better off if they were to leave the evidence in the hands of the agency. Bakugou asked him what about Hatsume? Isn’t she supposed to make a test to look for the drug in victim’s systems?
Deku sighed and looked tiredly at Bakugou. Deku explained that they were all on the same side and that they would have better luck hand it over to people who were better at investigating than they were. Bakugou was not convinced. Bakugou tried to get Deku to give him the jacket so that he could just take it to Hatsume himself, but Deku quickly refused. Deku said that if he were to withhold evidence from an investigation then it wouldn’t be good news and people would start to think ill of him. Bakugou quickly shouts that he doesn’t care and that the jacket could actually prove Kirishima’s innocence. Bakugou needed the jacket and he didn’t care what he had to do in order to get it. He needed to get Kirishima out of prison and he was going to do everything in his power in order to make it happen.
Deku looked at Bakugou worriedly. You’re starting to sound like a villain, Kacchan. Bakugou stopped in his tracks. He was bewildered at the accusation. He shook his head at Deku. He doesn’t sound like a villain. He’s just a man who is afraid that his friend is going to spend the rest of his life in prison for something that he didn’t do. Bakugou wasn’t going to just let that happen. He wasn’t going to abandon his friend in his time of need. He had to help him. After everything that Kirishima has done for Bakugou, Bakugou needed to help prove his innocence. He needed Kirishima back.
Bakugou remembered the address written on the club napkin and stuck his hand in his pocket. It was still there. Bakugou shoved his way past Deku, ignoring the jacket now. Instead, he was going to go to the source and figure out what was going on, once and for all. Without letting Deku know where he was going, Bakugou started running, heading towards the general direction of the address. Though he was quickly stopped again by Deku who shouted at him to stop and to think about his actions.
Bakugou stopped for just a moment to look back at Deku, but the moment was long enough for Deku to tell him that if Bakugou kept going down this path he had chosen, he would never be able to become the Number One Hero. That stopped Bakugou.
Heart pounding, Bakugou thought about it. If he kept going, he wouldn’t be able to become Number One? If he stopped, he could still become Number One, but at what cost? Kirishima and the possibility of other innocent people rotting in jail because of an untraceable drug that made even the kindest people go feral, when he had the chance to prove their innocence. Bakugou steeled himself and look Deku in the eyes. All the hard work that the both of them had put into their work, each of them trying to surpass the other. All of it. It was going to come to an end that night.
Bakugou let out a shaky exhale before sharply inhaling. FINE! He yelled out. He doesn’t care about that stupid title. Deku can have it. If being a hero means he has to leave an innocent man to rot in jail, then he doesn’t want to be a hero anymore. Immediately turning on his heels, Bakugou runs from Deku and uses his blasts to propel himself into the sky.
With Deku out of sight and Bakugou’s destination nearby, Bakugou takes a moment to calm himself down. This is what he has chosen. There is no going back now.
Bakugou quickly finds the address and finds it somewhat familiar in a way that he doesn’t quite remember. Marching right up to the front door of the rich house, Bakugou bangs his fist against the door. Shortly after, a butler opens the door. Bakugou immediately described the woman with the powder and asks the butler if she is in the house. The butler tells Bakugou that the lady of the house is indeed in and if Bakugou would like to wait inside, he would go get her. Bakugou says that he is alright waiting outside.
The Butler closes the door and walks away to get the lady. Bakugou looks around him at the environment. He notices a small camera above the door bell. He lightly wonders where the feed goes and if it records all the time or only when the doorbell is rung. A moment later, the door opens again and Bakugou finds himself looking face to face with the woman that drugged him at the club.
Bakugou glares at the woman. The woman smiles up at him and coyly asks if she can help him with something. Bakugou immediately asks if she is the one that has been using her quirk to make people go feral. The woman blinks, gently surprised at the bluntness of the man at her door, but she quickly grins widely. She says that she is indeed. She says that she is surprised that he isn’t in jail for attacking a fellow Pro Hero. Bakugou quickly explains that he already has a track record of attack that specific fellow Pro Hero. She giggled.
She asks Bakugou again if she can help him with something. Bakugou asks why she is drugging people and making them act the way they do. She shrugs. She says that she only dusts people that don’t pay her. She explains that she protects people and expects them to pay her but when they stop paying, she gives them a little powder and then she looks forward to hearing about it the next day in the news. Bakugou glares at her and says that he is going to arrest her, but another voice chimes in, telling him to be careful.
Another man walks up to the door behind the woman and Bakugou suddenly remembers why the rich house looks familiar. Its owned by a higher up at the Hero Public Safety Commission. And the woman with the powder quirk appears to be his wife. Bakugou practically glares at the man, asking if he knew about his wife drugging innocent people and getting them arrested. The man admits that he knew. Bakugou asked why he let it happen when he was sworn to protect people under the same oath that all Heroes did. The man laughs, claiming he is protecting people and when people decide that their protection isn’t good enough, then he shows them a world without his protection.
Bakugou tells them that they should both be arrested. The man puts his hand on Bakugou’s shoulder and leans in close to talk to him. He tells Bakugou that if he were to walk away now, there would be no harm that came to him or his Hero name. He told Bakugou that if he wanted to, he could pull some strings and make Bakugou the Number One Hero he wanted to be. He could have anything and everything he ever wanted, as long as he forgot about the feral powder incidents.
Bakugou thought about it for just a moment before he looked back at the man. Bakugou had the guts to ask about what would happen if he refused the conditions. The man’s face morphed into a deep glare. The hand on Bakugou’s shoulder tightened. He said that if Bakugou refused to listen, then the man would make it so Bakugou could never become Number One Hero. He could make it so that practically over night, Bakugou would become the most wanted villain in all of Japan. Bakugou’s eyes widened and his breath hitched quietly.
The woman chuckled from behind her husband. Pulling out a small make up kit, Bakugou quickly recognized it as the Feral Powder. Bakugou swallowed and looked back up to the man. The man smiled at Bakugou, but it was anything but friendly. Bakugou tried to take a step back but the man grabbed the front of Bakugou’s shirt and pulled him close, warning him that if he were to reject this proposal, he would regret it for the rest of his days. Bakugou took in a deep breath before he yelled fuck you at the pair. Bakugou rushed forward to grab the make up kit, but the woman quickly blew it in his face before he could grab it.
Bakugou exhaled sharply before he quickly turned around to run away, but before he could get away, he felt the man grab him from behind. Acting on instinct, Bakugou reached up to gran the man’s arms and sent a few explosions down his arms, enough to leave small burns, but not enough to severely require a hospital bill. The man yelled in pain and immediately let go.
Keeping in mind the powder, Bakugou tried his hardest not to inhale as he made his way away from the house. He propelled himself into the sky and only then did he take a short breath. Processing what happened, Bakugou made his way safely to the ground where he removed the powdered shirt and folded it up so that the dust stayed in place.
In the dark of the night, Bakugou quickly and quietly made his way to Hatsume’s workshop. She was still working, burning the midnight oil as well as burning a few other things probably. Bakugou made his way inside and quickly grabbed Hatsume. She wasn’t all too surprised to see him. She had been expecting Deku, but was pleasantly surprised to see Bakugou anyway. Bakugou quickly explained what happened to her and asked her to make the test with the powder. She agreed, excited about the potential challenge.
Bakugou asked if he could shower since he still was at risk of inhaling the powder that was still lingering in his hair. She told him where it was and told him to lock the door. If he did end up inhaling the feral powder and started going wild, the handmade bathroom would definitely be able to hold him. Not questioning her and her decisions, Bakugou quickly showered, making sure to scrub himself raw to get any type of dust off of him.
When Bakugou got out of the shower, Hatsume was almost finished. She just needed to test it on someone who already had the powder in their system. Bakugou offered himself as a test, knowing that he already had his feral attack earlier that week. The test went through and came back positive. Hatsume immediately tested it on herself, only for it to come back negative. She grinned wildly at Bakugou and asked now what?
He took a deep breath. They needed to test Kirishima to prove that the powder was what made people go feral to begin with. They also needed proof that the couple was actually doing this to people. Bakugou asked Hatsume if she would be able to hack into a specific camera that may have caught the whole confession, thinking back to the camera by the doorbell. Hatsume’s face folded into a thinking expression. If she was able to access the camera manually, she could but it would probably be near impossible to do it from far away.
Bakugou sighed. He didn’t want to go back to the house without having some sort of back up plan. He looked at the test that Hatsume created and asked her if she could send it to Deku to just hold onto. She nodded and prepared it so that she could safely deliver it to the Pro Hero. Bakugou wrote a short note to Deku, telling him that he figured out who has be drugging the innocent people and that the stuff to do the blood test was going to be in the box that Hatsume gave to him. In the note, he asked Deku not to hand it over to the agency until he knew that they weren’t going to just do a whole cover up on the whole incident.
He hoped that Deku would listen to his letter. Hatsume told Bakugou that she was going to go take the package and Bakugou’s letter to Deku immediately and that Bakugou should rest. She pointed him to a small room under her workshop that served as a kind of storage room/guest bedroom. It had a lot of shelves filled with junk and in the back was a couch. Bakugou laid down, but didn’t really get a lot of sleep. He was planning on how to get the camera footage so that they could get the confession of the pair that knew exactly what they were doing. Bakugou wondered if he could get a picture of the woman to ask witnesses of other feral attacks if that was the woman who dusted them before they blacked out.
Bakugou fell asleep partway through planning. He was woken up by Hatsume who immediately was pulling up a news report on her phone. Bakugou’s breath was practically punched out of his lungs as he listened to the report. The man from the Public Hero Safety Commission was explaining to police and reporters that Pro Hero Dynamight had attacked him in his home last night, leaving his several burns on his arms. The man’s wife was nowhere in the report. Hatsume looked slightly concerned at Bakugou. Within a few hours, word was going around that Pro Hero Dynamight was now a wanted criminal and that if anyone hears from him or sees him, they need to call the police or a hero immediately and do not engage him. Reports claiming that Dynamight was now a villain and was deemed extremely dangerous.
Hatsume suggested that Bakugou should get out of town and hide for a little while. Bakugou took in a deep breath before letting out a loud curse. He stood up and started pacing the small room. Hatsume suggested he lay low somewhere remote. She said that she could easily get the footage from the night before. Bakugou swallowed before he hesitantly agreed. He explained to her what the plan was on how to get the Feral pair arrested, telling her to get the confession video from the doorbell camera, to use the blood test to prove that the innocent people that were arrested were indeed drugged and under the influence of the woman’s quirk, and hopefully, after all was said and done all the people in prison would be released, including Kirishima.
Donning a full body disguise created by Hatsume herself, Bakugou managed to leave the city, undetected by police and other forces that were intensely looking for him. By the time Bakugou had made it to a small town in the mountains, it had been almost two months since Kirishima had been arrested and this whole mess had started. Feral attacks were happening all over in the city and at this point, Bakugou couldn’t do anything to stop or help. He waited weeks for a news article to pop up saying that they caught the people responsible for causing the feral attacks, but day after day, he was disappointed. It was almost to the point where he almost believed that Hatsume and everyone that he once believed to be his friends may have actually accepted the bribe of “anything and everything they wanted”.
Then one day, while walking around the small mountain village, still in the disguise, he saw a news report on a small diner tv. Bakugou immediately paid the closest amount of attention as the reporter detailed the cause of all the Feral attacks in the city and that it was all due to an ex-employee of the Public Hero Safety Commission and his wife. Bakugou grinned at the sight of the couple being handcuffed and driven away to a maximum security prison. The report continued to explain that the individuals who had gone Feral and were arrested had all been tested and it was confirmed that those individuals would immediately be released and reimbursed for time in prison.
Bakugou’s breath caught in his throat as he saw Kirishima walk out of the prison gates and into the arms of the dear quote unquote Bakusquad. Bakugou swallowed a lump in his throat as he wished that he could have been there to greet Kirishima and to hold him with everyone else. But he knew that it was better this way. The report continued, explaining that the man-hunt for Dynamight the villain was called off after reports of the alleged attack were disproved and no longer valid. Bakugou laughed as he made his way out of the diner and made his way back to the city.
By the time Bakugou had come back to the city, the first place he went to was back to Hatsume’s, to return the disguise and to also thank her for what she did. Hatsume was over joyed to put the man and his wife behind bars. She managed to find a lot more dirt on them than just a confession to the attacks at the door. Bakugou was slightly amazed and promised to make it up to her somehow. Hatsume nodded, saying I know and then she quickly ushered him out, telling him that he needed to get home.
Bakugou made his way home, making a point to avoid heavily crowded areas, still hesitant about the possibility of getting arrested just for being Dynamight. Bakugou made it back to his apartment in one piece and was surprised to find everything exactly how he had left it almost a month ago. He grabbed a clean pair of clothes and immediately took a shower, delighting in the feeling of being clean after so long.
Once he got out of the shower, he walked into his living room, heading for the kitchen, but was surprised to find Kirishima and Deku standing in the room. Bakugou stopped in his tracks and gaped at the sight of the two of them. Kirishima was the first to react, tears welling up in his eyes as he quickly made his way over to wrap his arms around Bakugou. Bakugou let out a shaky breath before he brought his hand up to grip Kirishima’s shirt and pull him closer. Kirishima let out a wet laugh as he held Bakugou. Bakugou felt his own tears beginning to fill up his own eyes as he looked over Kirishima’s shoulder at Deku.
Deku was standing sadly, tears freely running down his face. Bakugou took in a deep breath before he pried himself away from Kirishima. He walked slowly over to Deku and they just stood there looking at each other. Deku tears quickly turned into heavy sobs as he collapsed to his knees in front of Bakugou. He was trying hard to let out long strings of apologies, that Deku should have believe in Bakugou more, he shouldn’t have doubted him, he shouldn’t have said all those awful things to him. Bakugou grabbed Deku’s face and told him to shut up.
Bakugou told him that he didn’t care about any of that anymore. He was just happy that Kirishima wasn’t in prison anymore and that he wasn’t being hunted down. Deku smiled half-heartedly at Kirishima. The redhead looked at Bakugou and told him because he had been in jail and because Bakugou had been considered a criminal, both of their Hero Licenses had be revoked. Bakugou swallowed and let some more tears tread quietly down his face.
Deku quickly added to the conversation saying that if they wait the 6 month waiting period, without getting arrested or breaking any laws, then they could reapply for a Hero License and pick up right where they left off. Bakugou looked over at Kirishima, who looked at him smiling happily. He shrugged his shoulders and asked Bakugou what they should do for 6 months. Bakugou smiled at said that he spend some time in a cute village in the mountains and that there were a lot of good hiking trails that could keep them busy for a while.
So Bakugou and Kirishima spent the next 6 months up in the mountains, hiking and living a casual life before they returned to the city to renew their Hero Licenses. Later that year, Bakugou was given the title of Number One Hero for sacrificing everything he had in order to do the right thing.
Yaaaaaay the end.... also could do a follow up of what Bakugou and Kirishima did during the 6 months up in the mountains but I don’t know. This was the idea. It was stuck in my head and now it is here. Lemme know what you think. Love this fandom.
Good night, everybody!

it’s always interesting the way fandom sizes impacts creator visibility (like with supply and demand) but i’m especially thinking abt it rn bc i almost only ever write krbk which is such a big ship inside a huge fandom so i expected Nothing posting kagepro fic but half the people who read it left comments which is a crazy ratio. like i knew kagepro fandom is going thru a Renaissance rn and it’s a very cozy caring dynamic but i was always thinking “kagepro fandom small i will get 50 views tops” but in the end cozy and caring wins out over small in terms of engagement which is interesting

your todomomo post is 👌 Also, I read your ‘about me’ page and saw that you liked soul eater, so I read your 12 question fic. It was very entertaining and kidliz is underrated so thank you for that. You have great taste in shows+manga! 🌻 Just wanted to pop in to say that I hope you have a great day and I can’t wait to read more of your writing :)!
oh!! i sometimes wonder if people read the about page bc no one's ever mentioned it, so it's nice to hear you read it -w-
also yeah omg the 12 question fic~~ it was an homage to a really good pokespe fic on ff.net i read called question 7 and a half, which was in turn inspired by a kingdom hearts fic called simple instructions and just aaaa. it's such a versatile premise and it would be funny to see it become a bit of a fanfiction trope.
also yes kidliz IS good. my friend who got me into soul eater made me read the entire manga without telling me what she shipped aside from soma (bc how could you NOT) so that she could see if i ended up preferring kid w/liz or w/patty, and when i settled on kidliz we high fived bc friends with similar tastes in shipping hell yes
i'm also really glad the tdmm post resonated w you!! i have a bit of disdain for the idea of perfect, so the post was full of thoughts and ideas abt them that i'd been craving for a while, especially in regards to how they're portrayed in fanfic. i don't really read a lot of tdmm fic these days bc most of the portrayals are too soft and meet-cute for them to resonate with me, a gremlin who has spectacularly fucked up every romantic encounter and/or endeavor in my life lol.
something i kind of thought about the night before i ended up typing out the post was that the idea of “people take external pressures and internalize them” is somewhat of a recurring theme in my own fanfiction, particularly orchid in bloom, where the entire message turned out to be “external pressures are often internalized [...], failure to uphold them can drive them to decisions nobody expected [...], and the resulting mental state and overall mentality is terribly unhealthy.” (quoted bc i have a half-finished annotated version of orchid on my tumblr lol)
and yeah, that’ll probably make you realize that i’m probably at least a little bias in my character interpretations, and that there should probably be a bit of separation of art and the artist when it comes to that post, but i still mean everything i said in the post and think it has value whether i’m projecting on the characters or not.
#asks#orchid is my absolute favorite work i've done so far so if you have the time n energy i would absolutely recommend giving it a shot#the au has been on the backburner in my mind for a while now bc i'm working on a school band/soulmate au nicknamed Bb#(that's b-flat not bb haha)#but i hella wanna write a sequel to orchid bc there are a few more minor plot threads that weren't tied up all perfectly#and the characters still have room to grow some more so like!!#i think my disdain for the perfect soft meet-cute is part of why i've been reading mostly krbk fic lately (among other reasons)#there's just smth abt the tension bakugou provides by existing that makes me go Y E S#this relationship would take so much W O R K and yet be SO WORTH IT in the end#kamijirou is similar in that regard but they don't really have a lot of longer fics so :c#i don't really post my writing on tumblr a whole lot bc it doesn't get notes hahaha#the tdmm meta post was a fluke actually; i was just articulating some of the points to a discord server#and they were like 'dang i'd rb this if it were on tumblr' and so i was like 'aight i'll type it up then'#bc i'd started typing it up the night before but then my browser crashed :c#anyway yeah i talk in the tags a lot a lot a lot hahaha#but even though i don't post a lot of my writing-writing on tumblr i have been publishing extra notes posts abt my currently serializing st#where i go more in-depth about why certain aspects of the fic are the way they are and how i drew from my own experiences to write them#with a liiittle bit of character and line analysis#i often feel like the stories i tell have more to them than meets the eye so i like to bring details to light#shoutoish
