#I'm not even picky with my LGBT content

I'm sure plenty of people have seen that HBomb video now and one of the underlying things it indirectly touched on beneath a lot of it is also why I tend to be really picky with video essays.
Plot summary versus analysis. So many videos would benefit from this and be direct about what they are. Plot summary is still valuable when you know the audience you're courting is unlikely to know about the topic you're discussing.
Because there's a profit motive tied to most of them, particularly due to the amount of time and effort it takes to properly put one together, it creates a lot of situations where people are pumping out content to be as reactive and ride on trends as much as possible even if they're not well thought out. The algorithmic nature of YouTube also exacerbates this. You get a lot of videos that react to trends but don't necessarily have anything meaningful to say about it. Someone like HBomb can make a single video and reliably count on it being sufficient for even just a year, but most people aren't in a position to do content at that frequency.
A lot of more academic style video essays are almost always severely lacking in disability analysis and it displays a lot of harmful brands of leftism. That's not to erase the disabled voices we do have, but the focus on trying to apply so many academic norms to video essays also means that a lot of critical voices for oppressed identities that don't have easy access to those spaces (e.g. a lot of chronically disabled people) often don't get considered. Some of these groups you really have to be active in the communities to be able to know and listen to.
YouTubers also have to contend with the worse side of the algorithm in that you don't have enough control over what audience gets targeted in who views your video. How you frame and package your video is incredibly crucial to the audience you get and how they respond to it, but all it takes is your video hitting the wrong side for people to subject you to a great deal of harassment. I made a video where I just mention Chris Rock offhand in one sentence in a video not about him but people still get upset that I criticized him even though he's a rapist. White people get really uncomfortable at just the use of the word "white people" and stop listening and get angry in the comments. You can easily pick out moments where Youtube video essaysists will clearly have that "I don't really care about this, but I need to say this and spend half my video pre-emptively addressing really basic things in the hopes it'll reduce some of the harassment I get."
YouTube quite frankly is also just unsafe for a lot of creators. You run the risk of harassment and for many of the more marginalized voices (e.g. trans, non-white, disabled ppl, people of marginalized genders, etc) you're at higher risk for doxxing and other forms of danger. So there's always the lingering danger of being on some hate site or a part of a harassment situation.
Video essaysists that build enough of a following aren't just making videos, but they end up building a community and following. Because so many of the institutions around us deliberately withhold information about things like queer history and analysis, gender studies, race and disability analysis and so on, video essayists intentionally or not capitalize off that vacuum of information. A lot of the inaccessibility in how living spaces have become for people means that a lot of people don't have third spaces or communities they can turn to, which is a big part of what makes these personalities so appealing. Content creators should be very aware of that fact because if you make say LGBT content you're going to likely court a lot of younger LGBT people who don't have an ease of access to community. You're going to get a lot of undiagnosed neurodivergent people. I find a lot of attachment to individual creators can be rooted in a lot of the lack of community many of these people have, though certainly not always the case. I feel that leaving the conversation at just "parasocial relationships" also oversimplifies the nature of this part of the issue.
Academic so-called activist grifters position themselves as either activists, academics, or advocates but don't care to grow or do anything other than court bigotry out of their viewers under the guise of progressive ideology. Trying to make educational style video essays requires a great deal of humility, curiosity, and vulnerability in being able to constantly grow and challenge yourself in looking for videos, something a lot of people are not willing to do. A lot of bigotry just gets dressed up with progressive language. A Black youtuber talking about the ways white women perpetuate racism? Sure. A white "leftist" constantly injecting some attack against white girls and women in situations where it makes no sense though?
At the end of the day, I think it's good for both viewers and creators to be aware of these things and always treat essaysists with a bit of caution.

"Welcome To My Blog!"
Hi everyone! My name is Tusk/Zephyr, and I use she/her pronouns. I tend to draw when I feel like it or type things out. I've been meaning to get back into writing, but I haven't gotten back into it for so long because of me being drained from work and everything. Other than that, I tend to be horny whenever I feel like it. I love collecting sex toys and silicone dildos even if I can never fit one inside me- yet.
PLEASE DO NOT FUCKING INTERACT IF YOU ARE A MINOR, PEDO, ZOO OR LGBT-PHOBIC. YOU WILL BE BLOCKED ON SIGHT THANK YOU.

"A Few Precautions..."
•I have gotten a few DMs from people that want to get to know me or talk to me and while I do appreciate the kind messages you guys leave me, I'll only approach you if I have interest in talking to you. If I don't respond to you, don't take it personally! I just want to put my safety and well-being first. Besides, I'm super busy with work and college. I get stressed and socially exhausted easily!
•If you also slide into my DMs just to be a creep, I'll most certainly make fun of you or block you for it. However, if you want to slide into my ask box and submit some dirty asks, you are more than welcome to do so.
•I don't know how I feel about flirting yet because im still new to the NSFW space, but please understand that I do not want a long-distance relationship or any kind of online relationship. I'm also very picky with people in general.
•Also please ask first before sending me nudes (ONLY IF YOU ARE A GUY PLEASE)!! It depends on the person, and I'll probably only let you send it if you're like attractive. Yes. Im very picky. Cry about it. Seriously though, I'll probably either say yes or no once I go through your profile and try a little background search on you. And if I say no, just respect that and go on about your day.

Hey all! Figured I'd make a post to introduce myself. I'm K'hjara, a 20 year old guy from the UK who's slowly in the process of teaching himself to draw 😁. In truth, I've been drawing for a few years now, but have only just started properly practising. I'm also a furry 😅.
Please bare in mind this is a kink blog. On here, you can expect to find some light explicit content. There will be nothing nude or sex related on here, as that's not my thing, but there will be content on here that is considered sexual. If you want to interact with me, or share anything I post, you must have an active profile with a clear stating of your age, or send me an Ask or DM with your profile name and your *real* age. In the UK, the official legal age is 18, so consider that your entry requirement, if you like. Even if you're American, I won't be nit picky on that. So long as you're above the UK legal age of 18, you're free to interact and share my content. If you're under 18, do NOT attempt to interact with my account or share any of my content. You will receive one warning, and will then be blocked, if you try it again.
Of course, that's not the only thing you can expect to find on my blog. I'll definitely be posting pedestrian content on here, that's suitable for anyone, which honestly might end up being more often than not, simply based on personal preference. I like telling stories, and I want to incorporate that with my drawing. So you'll definitely see some explicit content, but most will still probably be pretty wholesome. So they might be kinky, but in a cute way.
This blog will have pretty much everything I draw, including non-canon art of my future comic characters, which I'll be posting primarily over on Webtoon, once I've got everything I need for it. I draw pretty much anything I'm currently capable of, which currently only consists of my OCs, all of which are of varying heights, weights and seuxalities, so expect a pretty diverse line up of characters to show up. Big, muscular himbos, soft, chonky boys - you name it. Please note that anything about my comic characters on here isn't canon, and the comic I'll be making will be completely unrelated to any goings on here. Once I've made the comic (though don't expect it for a long while yet) I'll link it on my blog, so you can explore the canon story there. The only things that would be cannon will be:
- Names
- Ages
- Gender
- Sexuality
- Given heights/weights on reference sheets
- Race for human characters, Species for Shifter characters
If you like, feel free to reblog anything I post - I'm totally fine with reblogs. If you decide you want to share anything outside of this blog though, I would ask that you ask me first. I'm not against it, but it's common courtesy - Either DM me or send a public Ask, if you want to share something to another platform. Both will be open to anyone.
Lastly, this is an LGBT safe space. Being gay myself, it can sometimes feel like a lot of blogs tend to cater a disliking to the LGBT. But this is a fully LGBT safe space for anyone, so don't be afraid to be yourself.
And that's about everything. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and have a nice stay 😊

How to interact with my blog
Hiya. I'm not sure what you could call me on here. Night is fine I guess. Anything is fine as long as it is an actual name. Or just a cute nickname. I'm not picky.
Some general rules:
Do not use derogatory language to me or others in my comments.
I am part of the LGBT+ community. It is my belief this community also includes asxual and aromantic people (demisexual bean here). I also personally use Queer to describe myself. Language can be reclaimed. If you do not like the label Queer to be used for you, I will not. However, kindness is expected and I will not argue on this.
I make 18+ content (writing) and might reblog it as well. I am no ones parent. Minors should not interact but if you are here, please leave this is not for you.
Basic respect is expected. Failure to follow any of these rules will lead to being blocked without negotiation. I might be behind a screen, but I am very much a human.
How can you interact with me?
My DM's: Always open, should one want to talk about our common interests (will be marked in bio/pinned eventually). Mentioning any of the topics that I do not want to interact with, will lead to being blocked without any discussion.
Asks: Yes, feel free to send me an ask. I will only take asks concerning plot concepts, my stories and prompts. Anything else will be deleted, refer to my DM's if you you want to rant about our shared interests. I might not respond to your ask at all if I am busy, so sorry, but that is just how this works.
Requests: I do not take them. You can give me a story prompt, but unless it interests me I will just ignore it.
Sharing: I'd be honored if you shared my content. Reblogging only. Don't repost, especially to other sites. You can find me on Ao3 at "Longest_Night". My blog is 18+ so sharing my content with minors is not okay. Minors should not interact with my blog at all. While I can not stop you, I will do my best to make sure everyone is safe interacting with my blog.
Tagging and trigger warnings: I am trying, but not an expert in these. In fact, I think I'm pretty bad at this. If you want to help me, feel free just be kind. Comments or DM's are both acceptable. I will never make fun of anyone requesting more trigger warnings. If you are not sure if the newest thing I posted is safe for you (for my own content it will be under the cut) you can DM me as well. I will be kind as I expect of everyone else. Any missteps will never be intentional and will be fixed.
So what else. I am a pretty liberal blocker, which is my right and I advice everyone to do the same If you don't like my content or the things I reblog.
What NOT to mention! (I do NOT want to discuss these, I will not write about these.):
Asexuality not being a part of the LGBT+ (they are, even if my stuff is not for some of the aces, you are welcome)
TERFs and TERF rethoric (I am agender. I'm pretty sure I upset them already. They can fuck off)
Shipping real-life people
Underage characters in sexual situations (both with other children or adults, both are a no-no)
Rape/non-consent, dubious consent ((consensual, informed and discussed non-consent fantasy only)
Serial killers (loving them, thinking they are interesting. I don't care, get out, stop talking)
True crime (Don't care sorry)
Things involving bodily fluids (Might seem odd considering what I write. It's just not for me. Grosses me out)
Other extreme paraphilias (you know which i'm talking about)
Okay that was a lot. Congrats if you read it all! TLDR is, just be kind, don't be a dick, don't mention the things I asked you to. Aside from that, I'm very willing to talk about writing prompts, so come pop by, if this hasn't scared you off yet.

I totally agree with you wrt LGBT+ representation in media. I'm so tired of seeing just ablebodied cis and straight white people. Media is so behind the real world right now. Also, I hate that when something becomes popular due to representation yet it's actually shit we're expected to support it? I won't name names, but there's this currently popular show that I think it's so, so bad. We deserve variety and we should be in every media. We deserve the option to choose, not to blindly support.
I think the fact that cis white folk don't feel the pressure to support media that shows their fellow cis white folk is telling of privilege. Like I know that the word is thrown around a lot, but it's true. They can openly criticize shows, books, movies, and artists without being accused of internalized whatever. They can have their feast in materials they actually like because there's literally so much of it available.
But when it comes to minorities and LGBT+ rep, if we don't automatically love it then we're not being supportive, we have internalized racism, homophobia etc. Even though that's not it at all. We just didn't vibe with the content or there was something about it that really irked us.
Quick side note, I experienced this when "Trese" premiered on Netflix. I'm telling you I was so fucking excited to watch and support it because wow, Filipino mythological creatures getting international recognition. With a badass female lead and found family to boot. I read the comics before and they were wonderful too, so my hopes were high as fuck. Then I watched the whole show and I was just so incredibly disappointed. When voicing my opinion about it my family and friends said I was being picky or not supportive. And I'm like.....doesn't it bother you guys have terribly paced this was? And the really grating thing was the villains having thick Filipino accents while the heroine spoke in a perfect American accent? It really, really bothered me. Like what were they trying to imply with that? It was such a little thing but it ruined the show for me. Especially when the voice actress couldn't even pronounce the damn words right...like it was WAY OFF. Even with the Filipino dub it was obvious. It was such a disservice to the source material. But complaining about it made me look like an ungrateful consumer.
And I feel like it's even worse when it comes to choices for LBGT rep. A lot of the books, movies, shows that do showcase LGBT + characters have them suffering or enduring some terrible trauma due to their sexuality and I'm like.......I just really want stories where they're happy ya know? It would be lovely to have a selection of stories where they're just existing and living their lives, reaching their dreams, failing and trying again, and maybe falling in love if that's their vibe.
In summary though variety is the spice of life! The more diverse characters and stories get the richer the experience. At least for me. Some folks want vanilla and that's fine for them. I want a buffet. I want a fucking ice cream bar where I can go crazy with the flavors and toppings.

Initial Thoughts on She-Ra
I wanna talk about that Netflix cartoon with gay princesses and a lot of emotional weight that just wrapped up, but thinking about it makes me... kinda tired.
On the one hand, I absolutely love how the themes (abuse, grief, neglect, abandonment, responsibility, love) were all handled from Shadow Weaver reminding me of my mother being the biggest bitch and thankfully dying to Catra not immediately breaking her cycle of abuse but making the actual effort, to Bow wondering why he’s the only one who ever tries to fix friendships, to Glimmer’s initial grief display, to Catra feeling betrayed by Adora because Adora left. All of that is amazing.
On top of that, I adore how Netossa and Spinnerella were handled in the final season. After three seasons of them not doing anything, and then one season where they get half an episode, the final season really amped things up with them. The VAs did an amazing job of selling the relationship and I loved Netossa’s dedication to getting Spinnerella free of the mind control. It was genuinely one of my favorite parts of the final season.
Additionally, I love that Catra’s betrayal is influenced by something. We’re led to believe it’s friendship the whole time, but it’s revealed to be romantic love. She loved Adora romantically and in trying to distance herself from the betrayal, Catra wanted to hurt Adora in a similar way as she was hurt, but couldn’t bring herself to outright off Adora.
Personally, I couldn’t really see Catra getting a redemption after season three, but season four came in hard to set it up. After a decade of shitty redemption arcs and flimsy villain backstories, seeing an actual redemption arc take place over the course of two seasons is a breath of fresh air. Especially since, unlike those shitty redemptions, Catra is shown to be remorseful at every possible turn. She does bad things because she’s trying to harden herself, but she’s shown time and time again to not be a completely bad person.
On the other hand, I have complaints, like anyone would. It took until the fourth season before the canon married LGBT couple spoke meaningfully, and until the fifth season before I even realized they were married at all. The second married LGBT couple has one episode in the second season and a tiny bit part in the final one. Those I can live with since all of them were background characters.
What makes me blink at the show and go “god fucking damn it” is that Catra and Adora’s relationship was ambiguous. You could say “oh the clues were there” all you want, but the truth of the matter is, I’ve seen and weathered way too many “Progressive LGBT media” pieces to actually see those clues. Guess what? If you have to go looking for clues, it’s ambiguous. For all any of the audience knew, they were friends the entire time. And that just... makes me tired. It makes me as tired as that last episode get together in the Avatar sequel. I’m tired.
Had Adora and Catra been outright stated to have been dating and Catra returned to the Fright Zone without Adora like in the first episode, and then started her spiral into betrayal and anguish, I would be fine. But they weren’t. The audience was led to believe they were just friends and no indication was given beyond that.
This might be hard for some fans of anything to realize, but not everyone ravenously eats up interviews and tweets and the like. Not everyone goes looking for that stuff. For a lot of people, it’s just consuming the content, especially when it comes to something like Netflix. If Noelle confirmed the relationship as endgame somewhere, not everyone would know that and therefore would have zero reason outside of personal interest to think the two were more than friends.
I flocked to Dickinson because I found out that the LGBT couple kissed in the first fucking episode. Actively stated their romantic love for each other, had a heartfelt kiss, and one of them was only going into a heterosexual marriage because she’d starve otherwise. It is clear from start to finish of all ten episodes that Sue loves Emily and Emily loves Sue. It’s clear. No ‘searching for clues’, no ‘subtext’, none of that shit that’s been lauded as “Progressive LGBT media” but is just doing the bare minimum.
But despite how I feel about it being held off til the last minute, do you know why I like the ending of She-Ra so much? Because even though some stuff was rushed and the love confession was at the very end, Noelle set out to tell an interesting story. She didn’t do this for clout, she didn’t do this for ‘the rep points’, she wasn’t trying to ‘make a statement’ or prove how clever she is. She wanted to tell an interesting story and she did. And that’s so much more than I can say about those other supposedly “Progressive LGBT media” pieces. Noelle didn’t do it for the gay, she wanted to make something people would enjoy. The gay was just her little added bonus.
For that, while I definitely think the show has flaws, I pass mad respect to Noelle, both as a creator and as a gay. She set out to tell a story. And it was a damn good one from start to finish.
I have a ton of positive other thoughts on the show, too, but I haven’t slept yet, so I’ll hold those off til later.

𝐑𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 @𝐦𝐱𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥
I.  I will rp with any fandom. My muses have main verses but most of them are multi-verse and can be used in any fandom, just let me know and we can work it out.
II. I am happy to ship but please don’t force anything. I love shipping and most of my muses are open for any kind of shipping, several of my muses are lgbt+ so if you want to ship f/f, m/m, f/m, n/f, n/m or even poly ship i’m okay with it.
III. No god-modding. And no thought-modding either. Unless your character is a mind reader or we’ve discussed it before, the character won’t know what any of mine are thinking.
IV. All gifs are not made by me, unless specified. but i do make my own graphics, gif icons and icons as well as make manips and edits frequently.  Feel free to request anything from me and if i have the time i’ll most likely make it.
V. I don’t tolerate anon hate. I don't condone or support racism, sexism,homophobia, transphobia,
anti-semetic, pedophilia, ra/pe culture etc. I don't want it.
VI. If you respect me, I will respect you- enough said.
VII.  NSFW content can be present at this blog but i am very selective and only rp smut with people i’m comfortable with. Mun is of age and for smut it has to be in a verse where our muses are of age. I won’t rp smut with someone underage.
VIII. I love plotting, if you’ve got an idea for our muses please just let me know and we can work something out. ( I’m basically trash and will ship anything)
IX.  You DO NOT have to be mutuals with me to write me a starter/drop me a meme/come to my ask/etc. I’m not picky and I just love seeing things in my activity. Feel free to tag me in any starter or send me memes. Even if we haven't interacted before.
X.  I’m from Sweden so if my grammar isn’t correct excuse me.
XI.  I don’t do individual starters for each new follower. But if you would like one, let me know. I’m usually up for anything.
XII.  I do have a life outside Tumblr, if I don’t reply the same day, don’t worry. I usually reply and answer asks as soon as i'm able to. And I do understand that you also have a life so I don’t expect you to reply the very second I send my reply.
XIII. This is the most important one. My original characters are mine, i do not claim ownership for any canon characters but i do alter them a bit so they're not completely canon compliant, but my muses were created by me and i put a lot of effort into each and every one of them. Please if you ever see someone using my muses with the same backstory and/or full name tell me about it so i can deal with that on my own.

To all my LGBT followers and LGBT community:
If you are going to have a problem with how I word my opinions and beliefs about LGBT acceptance and still claim me as a "homophobe" then unfollow me and block me you can report me all you want and reblog my "horrible homophobic context" on your blogs and with your other LGBT friends and family/people who are against me but I don't think I'm going anywhere because I'm not homophobic!
All you do is pick out something you get so butthurt over/ don't like my wording and then bully me.
You want me to learn something all you're showing me is you're a bunch of assholes like the ones in my screenshots here, anyone else feel free to attack me? You're basically bullying me for not agreeing with your complaints. I refuse to agree yes because you're wrong about what you're trying to point out is homophobic, I will never bow down to none of you.
Homophobic definition:
having or showing a dislike or prejudice towards homosexual people
I am not scared of anything about LGBT I don't dislike LGBT PEOPLE I just don't agree with being gay. I'm entitled to my own rights and beliefs just as LGBT people are!!!
I feel like I don't have a right of speech with some of the LGBT community, I don't get a damn break from this I can't be myself without being classified as a homophobe.
"wtf do y'all not understand you're dumb as hell about the definition homophobic"
I'm not gonna do what you want me to do and sugar coat shit for you and kiss your ass to make you happy no you're gonna either take what I say and let's get along and we come to an understanding or there's no point in being friends and y'all can be my haters.
I'm not gonna change you and you're not gonna change me.
I'm not gonna say what you want me to say ok I can write about LGBT how ever the fuck I want.
You either get me or you don't.
Totally taking what I say out of content and into a proportion about how I word myself with LGBT I ain't got time for this all drama and bitching, the people I have in my screenshots here are picky and wanna take down their little notes in their notebooks and be cry babies about "poor wording."
And on another note
I'm not gonna send people after you who are on my side so don't be thinking I sent "bait" don't try to say I'm bullying you that's a fucking lie, I have people on my side who know me and understand me at this point, and you will be hearing and dealing with the consequences for online harassment.
Anyone supporting these Tumblrers (unless you do support me and have reblogged) and being involved with my LGBT Tumblr harassment a big thank you and fuck y'all too. I have pictures of everything you say about me whether you're the blogger or reblogged and commenting or sharing this false information about me as evidence to how pathetic this is.
Everyday that goes by I keep watch on this shit, because y'all can't move on and shut up. Keep talking and whining, you ain't hurting me but what you're doing to me is fucking nonsense.
You're the ones harassing me not the other way around.
So a big fuck you to all my LGBT haters.
I'm gonna keep living my life and making friends while you sit there and be miserable about me and rant about the "homophobic."
zozobizarreadventure is a perfect example of someone I don't wanna be friends with because they reblog and make a hate speech about something I said that I reblogged/replied to on an LGBT support topic and this is what is problematic for me. Basically they'd been following me and waiting for me to say something that triggers them first and then they join the homophobic riot party about me, basically they were being fake and went behind my back and I didn't know who they really were until they do something like this.

I feel like if Glip were more transparent about all the shit they've done instead of trying to sweep it under the rug, and we saw that they now completely condemn what they’ve done in the past, we would leave them alone. we have so much evidence of shitty stuff they've done but they keep saying, "that was the past me, I'm no longer like that leave me alone", but there is behaviour that suggests they haven't. like all the underage nsfw stuff they made before, we understand that they made that 1/?
to cope with trauma, but they should have recognised that it doesn’t mean that they could just post that stuff online. Instead, they just kind of excused it rather than actively saying that it was wrong and they shouldn’t have done that. And then there was that whole thing where Eevee tried to defend cp. We’ve also seen them say that they get a kick from exposing minors to sex through their work, and they keep saying it’s the kids’ fault if they get exposed to the stuff when Glip doesn’t evendo that much to hide it from them and how they don’t try that hard to seperate the sfw comic and the nsfw comic, ESPECIALLY by including relevant plot info in the nsfw comic. Literally, if a minor is really invested in the story and is missing gaps of plot and character development because you only put it in your nsfw content, it is your fault, Glip, for not bothering to fully separate the sfw and nsfw sides of your comic. I know they’ve said they like their nsfw comics to actually have storyand plot and whatever and hey, if so, fine! But if so much of the relevant character development is in porn, maybe just label the ENTIRE comic as nsfw??? Rather than luring children to your porn because you aren’t bothered to separate the two?? Or just put all the relevant character development in the sfw so the child readers aren’t missing out on anything and inevitably read your porn because they were missing out on something. You can’t have your cake and eat it, Glip. Choose one.And then there’s the matter of the minor who came forward about Marl sexually assaulting them. This one cannot be ignored, as much as they want it to disappear. They can’t go tweeting about how it’s a shame that victims are never taken seriously and then just brush THIS situation under the rug. Absolutely not. This is such hypocrisy, I can’t even STAND it. Everything else could have been handled better, but this last one still can’t be ignored and it is scummy how they turned it around tomake them and their husband seem like the victims. Absolutely abhorrent.God and then there’s the matter of LGBT rep in their comics, CHRIST. Now, yes, I agree that there’s a lot of pressure on queer creators to make perfect, non-problematic stories, which is unfair. Just because they’re LGBT doesn’t mean they can’t have problematic subject matter in their stories, so there I will agree with them. HOWEVER, there is the problem of Glip being unable to take… any criticism whatsoever. Like, I get it, some people are just nit-picky and some don’t offer any valuable criticism, but MY GOD, when trans women are telling you, “hey, this character is kind of offensive”, you don’t brush them off by saying, “my trans lady friend is fine with this so your opinion doesn’t matter”. NO. You are non-binary, Glip, but you are NOT a trans woman, and when trans women say your portrayal of a trans lady character is offensive, get off your fucking high-horse and LISTEN TO THEM. And then the matter of problematic stuff in their porn? That’s also fine, stories would actually be kind of boring without some problematic stuff happening from time to time, BUT, you have to make an effort to make it clear that whatever that character did wasn’t good and they can grow past that by recognising their mistakes. Something Glip could learn from, I’m sure. Their writing is also bad, but hey, they’re just writing a story they want to tell, so whatever.Wish they could recognise that a lot of the choices in their writing make the story so incoherent but if that’s what they want. Fine. but they can’t blame the audience for being to “”dumb”” understand when the story is just confusing. I have not much to say about their art because they are truthfully a pretty talented person, and I know people complain about the quality of the art, but as someone that does art, it’s okay to simplify style to make pages quicker, as long as it still lookspretty good, which admittedly, it does. That’s all I have to say about Glip. Hopefully you got all my asks??? sorry for the rant, but as someone who liked glip for a loooooong time i’m just really disappointed in them, but not surprised.
I completely agree. The “my friend is ____ and they say it’s okay” argument doesn’t mean anything when you have easily three times as many people saying it’s NOT OKAY. Glip hasn’t changed and they never will because they’re so good at manipulating their fans into thinking they’re the defenseless victim just being bullied for being lgbt. It’s never ending.

So I saw your comment about xue/xiao on this post about cheng/xian and it occurred to me that's even ironic how xy, in his own twisted way of seeing things and according to wwx's deductions, killed Chang Ping bc he "offended" xxc when turning his back on him while jc, on the other hand, went killing people who reminded him of wwx/just in case they had a connection to wwx. And I'm not saying xy is any more right, he is that effed up (and the dissonance is so shocking too, as if it wasn't HIS fault in the first place, that. I'm sorry. but I find it amazing... that's what xy is in the end) but still if you're going to make a parallel with these two, I have to say that: it says a lot that xy, the psycho murderer, kills someone bc, again, in his twisted head he offended "the object of his affection" but jc, tsundere misunderstood grape, kills people bc he relates them to "the person of his affections".
Anyways, that aside but also related to something you mentioned about they not wanting the tragedy of Yi City... You hit the nail on the head. Look, ngl, I personally find annoying of course when people like that anon that also mentions xue/xiao talks about how horrid and how disturbed she finds people like them. I think it's unnecessary bc it's not even like this is about them but jc so why bring them out of nowhere to say such things? And sorry for the tmi but allow me to really make clear that I've never had not even a close to an abusive rs in my life so I hope people finally get that we know to separate reality from fiction and I guess the fact we aren't triggered by it it's also a sign some of us luckily can say irl we've never allowed any dangerous bs from another person.
ANYWAYS, sorry I digress. Back to the point, the truth is that while I find unnecessary to say things like that when the main theme isn't even them, I do understand if some people feel uncomfortable by it, I just believe there are certain fandom etiquettes and it's not the same to talk about how of a horrible person xy is, bc he is, than shading people for being in their corner shipping something problematic. And what's more important about xue/xiao shippers is that so far, in my experience, we are quite "content" with the result? We accept this is a tragic effed up story and we accept it couldn't end well. We aren't, idk, blaming wang/xian for what happens to xy when he and he alone dug his own grave, duh. We like it bc of its tragedy. And I think the best proof is that there isn't as much fix-it fics like people who maybe think this is about being apologists would believe. From time time of course we need some crack, some unrealistic result, some comedy even lol... but I think the reason our ship work for us is bc we like it bc of it is and not bc we project ourselves. Also, I thank God never saw MXTX being attacked by xy stans... I don't doubt there must be some cringey stans like there are everywhere but I'm sure they're a small number. I actually find amusing MXTX being like "why do you ship those, idgi??" 😂 but above all, I respect her bc it's her work. This is not about being a boot licker, I believe it's ok to have your opinions too and not necessarily agree with the author... Too bad that all the MXTX antis I saw are gross about her and they're far from just giving criticism. They're plain bitter haters. It's not like it personally affects me and as if she doesn't have the right to have her own opinions on her story and own characters just bc I happen to ship something I KNOW it's not canon, ffs... In any case we can agree to disagree bc it's also my right to ~romanticise~ whatever I want as long as it's fictional. All in all, I'm grateful she created this story that hooked and these characters I learned to love...
Sorry if this became long and if it's all over the place 😅 but I just couldn't help myself and wanted to bring some points on this whole matter...
So I will break down my comments point by point anon!
On the point of Xue Yang, I find him fascinating along with his relationship concerning Xiao Xingchen. They had built up a relationship on so many lies, and lived fairly happily in that all while Xue Yang was unable to parse out what his animosity was towards Xiao Xingchen his love for him, and his idea of honoring this same person. It is just a mess of a relationship with so much that can't actually be described because even the characters can't separate exactly what is going on there aside from the pain Xue Yang caused because he just does not understand kindness and empathy in a significant way that could have saved himself. It is a gorgeous plot point and awful bond. It's also just at the cusp of Xue Yang being in denial admitting that he DOES miss Xiao Xingchen and his build up of this unconscious guilt for having killed someone he learned to love and know. Especially next to Jin Guangyao who doesn't have this guilt but is very good at speaking like he is, and Jiang Cheng who is not regretful for what he did to Wei Wuxian.
On the topic of ship shit talk: I have no bone to throw here as a defense. I shit talk chengx!an and plenty of pairings with mutuals and friends as a vent, because I find ships ridiculous as much as others. Everyone in my eyes can do as they want, say what they want in terms of fandom made content. It's there in all it's non-canonical glory to roast or praise on all ends. I think the issue here in regards to all of this is the conflation of fanon being made to seem like actual canon and the line of where personal tastes needs to be made apparent. MXTX isn't big on shipping outside of her main pairs, I'm the same with mine for OC's and I am very very picky in regards to this, but fans are gonna fan and Rule 34 is there no matter what. Fandom curating is always the answer if certain pairs get to you that badly. I also think there is a fine line with accusations of romanticizing non-canon pairs and it's place in a real life context towards others individuals as I think morbid material has it's place to be explored safely within literature and entertainment without pearl clutching or holier than though attitudes especially prevalent in English/Western fandom.
People get far too invested within the fandom headcanon space and a lot of vitriol pours out from that. It's a double-edged sword especially claiming to love something from this while condemning a multitude of people (mostly always chinese mainland fans, or other LGBT+ people who do not share the same self-flagellation attitude towards an entertainment piece). Self-flagellation is hypocrisy in my eyes and just because some people tend to make a very loud note of this, does not make them morally superior in sharing the same content as everyone else no matter how they do this.
