#something is very obviously different about these two compared to my normal images on this blog. i acknowledge this #also the sv model is Really good. and since they always stare straight at the camera anyway… and no one pays attention to the background… #and the only high-quality phantump model i could find was so horribly shiny that its eyes were just white voids #in my defense‚ phantump always just stare straight at you in game #the lighting is different‚ yeah. that's probably the dead giveaway. beyond the background. but like. i'm the only being on the planet who #really likes phantump anyway. i feel like it's a generally forgettable pokémon to most folks #phantump #HELLO this one is a weird one. i have some explaining to do. so when i did this one i didn't know how to edit models really at all #and when i got the models for these‚ the xy models were super shiny. shiny to the point that it made their eyes fuckin invisible #and i decided that since you could barely tell it was phantump‚ i needed a different way to get these images #i remembered that in the SV dlc‚ every time you find a wild phantump‚ it just fucking. stares. at you. and i was like. aha #i kinda remembered because of the test stream that i did. tumblr user alligayytorr (am i getting the right amount of Ys) said #“haha i am getting a sneak peek” when i zoomed the camera in on a phantump. and i remembered that. and i was like. i can utilize this #and ended up using just an in-game screenshot of SV in replacement of the regular content. later on‚ after that #once we got into gen 7 and it became less and less reliable to find models‚ i had to learn how to edit them manually to remove the shine #i am a software dev. not a 3d modeler. this ended up coming down to editing the code of the models directly (which i ended up writing a #script to automate). now‚ today‚ january 22nd (the day of me writing these tags and updating this post)‚ i remembered this post was in the #queue and was not normal. so i went back‚ ran the script on the phantump and trevenant models‚ and unshinified them #then edited these two posts to be normal. i have left the original pictures i took under the cut for reference and as bonuses #because i really enjoy phantump. so that's why those images are there‚ and that's why these tags are here #just for posterity's sake‚ the folks who come here mostly for my commentary‚ i've left the ORIGINAL tags of the post when i initially #made it with the SV pictures up at the top (i wanted to rearrange them‚ but tumblr makes that Very difficult‚ so i left them as-is) #so if these tags are confusing to read i Apologize. but i hope now that you're at the bottom you understand what happened #i'm gonna go edit the trevenant post now

Like, the animosity some of these puppets have for each other!!!!! Some of them are just straight up Not Friends, lmao.

I need to play more of it, but if anyone is reading this, go play I Was A Teenage Exocolonist. I expected it to be waaaay more popular, especially on Tumblr, but it's so underrated? The writing is wonderful, the characters are well-defined, and the art is breathtaking! Please take a look at the trigger warnings, cuz there are a few that are definitely applicable, but it's soooo good... If it has to be said, I romanced Dys first, lmao.

I am watching The Apothecary Diaries right now, just started today, and can I jsut say... I'm such a fan of all the women in this show!! I love the perspective it gives on court life a lot! Maomao definitely is pulling in all the men AND women, huh.... i appreciate that. Jinshi also 100% wants to get degraded by her, huh. Maomao is the sexywoman of this show.

pokemon: just go to the search bar on the top part of the blog and search for your favorite pokemon! see pikachu, for example. regional variants are tagged like "alolan raichu", not "raichu", though they should show up on the search for "raichu".

human characters: same as pokemon, search them by their english name. for example: gladion. for professors you should search for "professor (name)", like "professor oak" and not just "oak". submas have their own tag for the both of them, but also individual tags for ingo and emmet.

original characters both human and pokemon

fakemon for fan made pokemon, and from there you can branch off to variants or fusions

betamon for beta pokemon (from the leaked betas, like the 1997 spaceworld gold/silver one, or the diamond/pearl one; or from official sources, like the latias+blaziken pokemon from the ruby/sapphire showcase). beta versions of pokemon that exist have their own tags, like "beta wooper" and not "wooper"

just search for the game you're interested in. spin off sagas have only one tag (like mystery dungeon) and main series games that have two versions follow the most used order for them (like black and white).

Not only I'm a teacher, but also a researcher. With the help of Wil, I'm trying to summarize Pokémon's habits. Sometimes, others helping me write research too.

Mostly writing stories about Legendary, Mythical, or other unseen, like Paradox. They are last seen on Paldea long time ago in Area Zero. But right now, the area is strictly prohibited for everyone, even teachers and researches.

It seems he was a bit distracted for his talk about research.

Oh, evolution doesn't mean aging. Eevee could be an old bean like me, haha. I can see elders who did not evolve. Even I saw evolved kids around age 3-5. If you want to know why I haven't evolved yet, I'll tell you.

My URL = one of my WOL's name because I am so very creative haha.

This was HARD, but uhhh I made it hard on myself. I approached this a little differently from the description above and built a "soundtrack" based on Keilah's story. I had several criteria for picking songs here:

Can't pick two songs from the same band or source.

The lyrics of the song, if any, have to be relevant to Keilah's personality or life somehow.

The overall vibe of the song has to fit Keilah.

No FFXIV OST, that would be too easy (but other FF titles were fair game... even though none of them made the cut, lul).

I think the criteria worked, because I was able to fish around in my library and memory for a collection of songs that I think represents Keilah well in many different ways! (Plus, new story brainworms moved in how about that??)

If you decide to do this challenge, I encourage you to find a fun way to represent your muse that makes sense for you! Song titles, songs from OSTs only, whatever :)

#solrock #now *this* is the fucker that the one raid battle NPC had in swsh that everyone hated. including me. he served only to remove lives #fuckin mashing the rock polish button the whole time or whatever it was. doing Nothing Else. i feel like a lot of people who usually did #raids offline had that fucker's name and face memorized. cuz they'd see that they got him and just give up right then and there #at a certain point i feel like offline raids were just not very viable. the NPCs they'd give you to battle with were just so bad #and some of the higher star raids you really needed the extra firepower you just couldn't get from those NPCs #but also they kinda removed a lot of the incentive for joining other people's raids considering your catch chance was lowered by like 9000% #if you weren't the host of the raid. and if you were the host the percentage chance was so high it was basically guaranteed #i don't think i ever ONCE caught a pokémon successfully when i'd joined someone else's raid. and i don't think i ever once failed to catch a #pokémon when i was the host of the raid. it's just. i dunno! i stopped doing raids at a certain point. some people can get a pokémon game #and play it long long after the main story bc they get invested in raids and shit but i just lose interest at a certain point unfortunately #as much as i enjoy the game while i'm initially playing through it #hff. anyway. i'm queueing this up the morning of june 30th‚ aka the day of my first flight in 10 years. so. this won't post until mid july #and i'll have been back for a while by then but for right now‚ me writing these tags‚ i am very Anxious #saur. haha. y'know how it is. have solrock

Basically, how emmet survived was that he was found by the depot agents mere minutes after Ingo was taken. Cloud had her audino use a healing move to stop the bleeding as much as it could, then an ambulance took him to the hospital.

He is currently a permanent resident of the hospital. He needs a lot of various life support machines to do the jobs of the body parts he's missing. I don't thiiiiiink I can go into more detail without getting more medical lol

Currently he's not able to get around, but in the future who knows? I can't spoil that yet but I wouldn't consider it a happy ending if he could never leave the hospital and see his more dangerous Pokémon and trains ever again, so he's getting out of there somehow! I just can't share yet lol

Hello! Hi! I'm one of the invested reader in your most recent fic Gimmighoul for your thoughts? And also the one who's writing a fic vaguely inspired by it. (And also one that commented a lot, haha.)

You may recognize me by username (there's an extra 's' here but, eh, it's the same.) I decided to ask the questions I wanted to ask there because of, uh, anxiety issues.

So here are my questions:

1. Would you be okay with it if I were to use your character, Flore, in my story? It's most likely too late because I already started with the female MC, but I may write more Pokémon stuff in the future and I'd like to write it with a non-binary MC and I now have as a headcanon that, if there was an option to be non-binary, their default name would be Flore (like Juliana for the girl, and Florian for the boy). Also, if you're okay with it, would it be okay to alter a little bit their story and their taste? Like, they have Koraidon instead of Miraidon or they chose Sprigatito instead of Fuecoco as their starter. Or, they're fond of cute stuff instead of macabre stuff. Their personalities would most likely stay the same, but there would be slight alteration like that. Just like how people write Juliana or Florian: things changing depending of the person personal experience.

2. Next, I wanted to know if I should give you a shout out if I ever post my fic somewhat related to yours? Since you gave me the idea for the prompt, in a sense. Like, I would say the name of the fic that inspired me and your author's name and saying something like: "check out their stuff, they're great." I don't know if I should, because I'm, anyway, a way smaller author and my story will, probably, not even be remotly similar to yours. Furthermore, I'm a very strange person and I write the idea out of my mind with barely any filters. My works are tagged properly, at least, but, you know, not safe for work. You're a SFW author, so I'd understand if you'd like to not be associated with me in the slightest. However, since I would be the one doing the shoutout, it wouldn't be as bad as if you were to do it. If there's one thing I really dislike it's making people uncomfortable against their will. I'm a strange person, maybe a bit scary at first glance, but I'm not a creep. I do not approve of tricking people into seeing weird things. No need to worry, this fic I'm planning to write will be, at max, rated teens and up. I looked at your other stuff and you're more inclined toward family friendly and I respect that 100%. On my side, my taste change and my mind shifts every two months so my works are all over the place. (I wanted to explain that, because, you know, the internet can be wild sometimes and get to the most extreme conclusion.)

3. I forgot to ask: what are your preffered pronouns? I should have asked that first. Sorry if I'm indiscreet, but I just want to be safe. I assumed you were non-binary since you seem to like turning some character non-binary (by looking at your works). So, my brain default to they/them pronouns. Also, asking in case I need to give you a shout out. (And, in case you want to know too, I don't have preffered pronouns. Any is fine.)

Anyway, that's it! I know this is a lot, but I think those are important questions. Sorry if it was badly written, I have trouble to write my personal thoughts on paper; I write stories, not emails. Ah! Good to see you, and what a nice lengthy ask. I will answer in kind to make things easier.

1 Go ahead! You can use Flore for your fics. I am over the moon that you want to write about them. But if you do, I would like you to please credit me. I put a lot of time and effort into writing them and their design, and it would hurt for them to be used without credit. But I am assured you will do that; if not, you would not be asking permission in the first place.

As for changing Miraidon to Koraidon and other story details - you have my permission! I don't sweat the small stuff. Flore likes cute things, too; it's usually overworn by their love of spooky stuff most of the time (they and Lacey geek out about cute Pokemon in most of their hangouts). And you can change their Pokemon to whatever team you have in mind. It will be like a fun alternate-universe version of them. It makes sense that OG Flore and your version of Flore differ, and I'm all up for seeing it!

2 You can give me a shout-out or not. I will leave it up to you. I gave you the prompt indirectly, but you don't have to mention me if it varies too much from the original. But again, as above, please credit me if you use Flore.

Being told I'm an SFW author is pretty funny! I suppose I am, even though I have written horror and creepy stuff before - it never needed a mature rating. I respect NSFW authors for being so brave. So ditto!

3. I use He/him, they/them pronouns. I go through life mostly as a guy, but I also feel non-binary, so you are not entirely wrong.

And don't cha worry! This is not poorly written at all. I can read that you are excited, and that is nice to know. Thank you very much for the well wishes (I will need them) and for complimenting my art. It's lovely of you.

Heyy I'm Ly Thi Minh, and nope I'm not named after anyone. Honestly though, with how common my name is in Vietnam, I very well could be lmao

I only just turned 15 so if I do have one, be sure to attend my funeral tomorrow!

Dark brown. There's not much variety in Southeast Asia, I'm afraid.

Happy endings. Why would I want to deliberately make myself miserable?? Please, if I wanna scare myself, all I need to do is look in the mirror 😂

I recently discovered that I'm freakishly good at dodging shit, so let's go with that.

9) Where were you born?

Vietnam, in New Hanoi! It was my childhood home and 75% of it got reduced to rubble :)

Now I live in Lorelei, United States. It kinda sucks but it's also kinda cool. You can say that I have a... Love-hate relationship towards it, I guess. I had to leave, obviously, of course I had to, but it's not exactly a crime to miss it, y'know??

10) What are your hobbies?

I used to do jigsaw puzzles. I even got into a Facebook group where we borrowed puzzles from a shared collection and Kalisha would help me frame up my pieces 'round the house. We haven't done that in a while though... The last one I did was a really cool piece of various Pokémon with a stained glass window effect. Kalisha bought it for my birthday and she even helped me put it together. I don't think puzzles are really her thing though haha

11) Have you any pets?

Má got a goldfish for me once and I named him Lucky. He died the next day though, so I guess he was actually Unlucky.

12) What sports do you play/have you played?

Barrier Ball! I don't know if you've heard of it but it's a popular game in America where there are goal posts on the ground, in the middle of the air, and high up in the sky. I know that there are other sports where you can use barriers to run around in the air but this is extra fun cause there are some volleyball elements too, like our setter-like midfielder. I actually wanted to do that, but I got forward instead. It's not bad though; it's kinda fun to 'disappear' and come out of nowhere with a shot. Like a sniper :)

13) How tall are you?

5'5... I can't believe I think in feet and inches now; what have I become???

14) Favourite subject in school?

Math, I guess. Once you get into the rhythm, your brain kinda just switches off. It's actually really relaxing.

15) Dream job?

Uhhhhh I don't know. Does anyone really know what they wanna do at this age?

Besides Má, I guess, but that's cause she's crazy over ethreasts. Not everyone has such an obvious passion though, and especially not me :/
