i know we all saw the overwatch anniversary skins and are kind of like?? what? (or most of us at least from what I’m seeing) so here are my ideas for actual good anniversary skins that (imo) would celebrate the fandom, the character’s personalities, and add to the game/lore

Chill Genji

Hoodie over a recoloured cyborg suit. Sweatpants too. I don’t care. I want my boy in a hoodie. Cat ear headphones are a plus. Just let him rest

Stable Trash McCree

Anyone who’s been around horse stables long enough knows that there’s an unofficial uniform. Red plaid flannel over a plain or simple graphic tee, with ratty, sometimes bedazzled jeans and beat up ass boots. Make him look like he’s actually rode a horse in his life blizzard. pls

Workout Pharah

ok ok so I know there are in-game limitations because, ya know, Pharah needs to fly and everything. But give me Pharah in a muscle tee and workout pants and sneakers who just managed to get on the backpack jetpack and shoulder mounts and gauntlets. let my girl show off her muscle ;A;

BDU Reyes

let him be happy. give him banter voicelines with soldier if 76 is in the matching skin. give me shitty army jokes and roughhousing like two happy young military guys should have (see below for more details)

BDU Soldier: 76

BDU stands for Battle Dress Uniform, each military branch has its own design. I would love to see young Morrison in normal military gear. (see above for extra details)

Lone Wolf Sombra

so in between being a child and joining Los Muertos I know Sombra must have roamed the streets and fended for herself. Shady-but-always-dramatic, sweeping through alleys and backways in a calf-length black duster with a hood added on, knee high, beat up converse, and a prototype of her hacking gloves. Early days Sombra. I want it.

Casual Tracer

ok lets be real, we love her but does she really need more skins? anyways. casual tracer in an oversized cable-knit sweater and leggings, big nerdy glasses, as if she jumped into battle in the middle of relaxing with a book and a cuppa while watching it rain out the window of her london apartment. 

Saltshaker Bastion

need I say more. We’ve wanted it since the beginning, where is it @/blizzard

Masked Hanzo

Something kind of complementing Oni Genji, with a traditional Japanese-style Kabuki mask and full robes. Or hipster Hanzo from Reflections. Either would work for me.

Goblin Junkrat

Perhaps tying in with WoW, I’d love to see a Goblin Junkrat skin. With green skin, orange or white hair, and kind of a fantasy-tech vibe to his equipment. His traps could be made of wood and brass, and his riptire could look like a spiked carriage wheel strapped with canonballs

Mei-ge (Ice Mage Mei)

ha get it! :D anyways, I’d imagine the colours could be similar to that of Jaina from Hearthstone. She could wear RPG-style mage robes, carry a staff or wand instead of a gun, and snowball could be reskinned into an ice elemental sprite. (Here’s the artist!)

Viking Torbjorn

He’d have leather armour and a linen tunic with a helmet with horns on either side. His “hammer” would be the flat end of a throwing axe, and his turret would be made of wood with some metal and it would have horns too

Combat Widowmaker

No more silly skintight suits or frilly skirts. Just pure, leather and gunmetal badassary. Leather jacket over purple tee, cargo pants in a light lavender to match the colour scheme. Utility belt. Bulkier gun. Here was my inspiration.
