Where you're from? Thank you @r.ayiaaa._ & @red.freezepop.2 from TikTok for sharing. Where we've come from doesn't have to be who we are. If we've come drug dealing, crack smoking, walking to the corner store and, red quarter water buying, wine cooler drinking, give me a $1 worth of cheese and ham... let us heal during Minority Mental Health Awareness Month. Start your journey. #minoritymentalhealthmonth #healingjourney #start #now #and #ongoing #istandwithyou #iseeyou #iloveyou https://www.instagram.com/p/CgkVNJ5tBSW/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

This picture of Finny is a perfect reminder of unconditional love. ♥️♥️♥️The month of June is dedicated to and in celebration of the equality in love. 🌈 Love is love. To my friends and fam who celebrate I stand with you. The history of pride began with the Stonewall Riots, violence, criminalized identities. Who we love comes from the heart- and just like decisions that have been made recently, I don’t think that is something anyone has the right to decide for someone else. To anyone who celebrated #istandwithyou #loveislove #equality #pridemonth #support 🌈 https://www.instagram.com/p/Cfc1WXvMZVB/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Overturning Roe v. Wade and denying women the right to control their own bodies is an outrage and in defiance of what the American people want. Democrats must now end the filibuster in the Senate, codify Roe v. Wade, and once again make abortion legal and safe. the Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade will be responsible for the death of so many women in this country. it is a denial of our dignity and our right to access private medical care. it is a denial of our bodily sovereignty. this fight is ours now, but there are women who have come before us who have the expertise that requires we work together. this is the time for unity, rage, urgency, strength, and stamina. because they’re not just coming for abortion. they’re coming for contraception. they’re coming for gay marriage. we must dedicate our lives to making sure that these fundamental liberties will not continue to get clawed back by a small-hearted, small-minded patriarchal minority. i stand in solidarity with everyone who is afraid today and i stand in solidarity with everyone who is ready to burn it all down. #womensupportingwomen #womenempowerment #roevwade #unconstitutional #womensrights #istandwithyou #strongertogether #standtogether #love #respect #respectoneanother #keepanopenmind #helponeanother #hereforyou Eye shadow: @widowwitchlashes Lipstick: @blackmooncosmetics Foundation: @tartecosmetics Setting spray: @urbandecaycosmetics Contour: @kkwbeauty Blush: @covergirl Eye brows: @anastasiabeverlyhills Highlight: @stilacosmetics Mascara: @almay Eye lashes: @widowwitchlashes Eyeliner: @kvdbeauty Concealer: @toofaced Hair: @mirrorpass https://www.instagram.com/p/CfU88jnJhAj/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

So I've been following the news about Florida's "Don't Say Gay" bill. Things are looking pretty dire, not gonna lie. Just today as I was finishing up this piece, Florida's Senate passed the bill. It's now on it's way to DeSantis' desk. That doesn't bode well for this thing dying before it becomes law. Which is, in my opinion, an absolute travesty.
But I'm nothing if not an eternal optimist. From what I've seen of protests and the news, people aren't interested in quietly accepting it. Which is good. I have no doubt that it will be taken to court as soon as it hits the books. It's just a shame that it was allowed to get to that point.
As frustrating as it is, the fight must continue for human rights in this country.
To anyone who thinks or has heard that this bill is just about defending parents - no, it's not. It's original wording was absolutely a treatise against LGBT representation in schools. Even though they've backed off on some of the worst of it, it's still at its core legal bigotry. When schools teach sex ed, no matter what age level, LGBTQ issues need to be included. Period. For any state to try and prevent its inclusion in the subject is discrimination.
So here's a piece of hope in these dark times. I stand with you.
Also, Happy International Women's Day - whether you are one, love one, feel part one, or all of the above.

“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”Nelson Mandela ✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿____We stand with you. #blackoutday2020 #blackouttuesday #istandwithyou ✌🏿✌🏾✌🏽✌🏼✌🏻

Anger. Disappointment. Sadness. Frustration. Empathy. Disgusted. These are all feelings I've been cycling through over the last week. The state of our country and of our people is angering. It's all of these things. Why do we still have racism? Why do we continue to instill such evil things into our future generations? Why do we choose to pass judgement on another human based on the color of their skin? Why does the killing and abuse of countless Blacks and POC continue? Why, no matter how hard and loud the cry for it to stop, it doesn't end? Why? I've personally experienced racism directed at me several times in my life, and it felt terrible to be treated so badly because I was the "wrong skin color". None of that compares with the fight I've seen with my friends in the Black community. None of that compares with the fear I see in my friends knowing that this is not the America that welcomes all walks of life, a cultural melting pot, where one should feel safe to be able to walk outside without prejudice. What happened to George Floyd was horrific. My heart breaks for his family and friends. We need justice. Our people and our country deserve better. We can do better. Make your voice heard. I stand with you. #blacklivesmatter #istandwithyou #makeyourvoiceheard https://www.instagram.com/p/CA3I8HpH1Sk/?igshid=uo3t5c7mepsa

I’m absolutely terrified that this is where we are - that after so many decades of people fighting for women’s rights to their own bodies, today’s decision has stripped us of that. I don’t care if you don’t want to hear this; overturning Roe v. Wade is an erosion of women’s rights and reinforces this absurd, backwards notion that women shouldn’t be allowed to be in control of their own bodies. If you DON’T think that’s absurd and backwards. The U.S. Supreme Court made it easier to own a gun, gave cops the ability to not read Miranda Rights, gave religious schools public funding, and overturned Roe v Wade after 50 years of precedence. Welcome to conservative America. Never vote Republican again. Overturning Roe v. Wade and denying women the right to control their own bodies is an outrage and in defiance of what the American people want. Democrats must now end the filibuster in the Senate, codify Roe v. Wade, and once again make abortion legal and safe. the Court decision to overturn Roe v. She told me what Noel had said to her, what he’d done. She was angry and there was nothing she could do about it. I agreed and shared my own stories. I regret that now. Normalising the abuse by those in power in our industry is wrong.
