But hearing Charlie say, so easily, “if you didn’t ever want to do it… I wouldn’t either.” is so personal to me because he’s literally saying that he can still love Nick and be in a fulfilling relationship with him and never have sex and that it’s okay if Nick never wants to have sex

So, uh, Soft Underbelly has had me in a chokehold and it finally got the best of me. I just love the leopard seal's personality and how it contrasts the main fic in very interesting ways. Also, the dynamic of 'will kill on sight but super sweet parent' is my absolute favorite.

I had to include Ruaq because, while I know Eclipse loves Sedka very much, I can imagine that seeing his child for the first time was a life-altering experience- but also sibling dynamics my beloved.

I think it would be very interesting if Ruaq grew up to be more shy and reserved when both of his parents are very...intense and solely for the purpose of y/n and Eclipse being confused by why their child is quiet and not very assertive. Like, Eclipse teaching him to hunt and Ruaq is just so nervous because he wants to make his parents proud, but also doesn't want to disappoint them by messing up and Eclipse is just like 'What're you waiting for, bud?'

Anyways, Soft Underbelly by @naffeclipse is really good and you should read it. And every other thing she wrote.

Being stuck inside with the winter weather has me eating like some kind of southern hobbit

#i went grocery shopping before the storm specifically planning good snowstorm food #made buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy from scratch and after 3 days not being able to go anywhere and coming in from a long winter wal #it HIT #also one day i made pigs in the blanket with the good kielbasa for lunch #i made kielbasa with potatoes and cabbage for dinner one day #my wife made a giant pot of vegtable soup and weve been eating those leftovers #oh also we got a pack of the bacon 'ends and pieces' and i spent friday cooking that down into bacon bits (that keep in the freezer) and #lard (for cooking) #and made some really good potato soup #edit: FORGOT to mention the lunch i just made that inspired this post #2 patties of leftover breakfast sausage a fried egg the last buttermilk biscuit and a couple little slices of cheese #it is COLD we are eating HEAVY FOOD

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT????
