😎 I had cut my finger on the knuckle at work last night ( nothing too bad, it just got a grazing chunk of my finger) and Mama didn’t rise a little bicth so I finished my shift but it brought about a thought or two. I am also going to try and include some SB AU in this post too . Also Vulture you absolutely cracked me up with the whole Nat refusing to sleep on the edge as much as possible because she is afraid of the grey wolf ( the whole point of this song was to make it so that children wouldn’t sleep on the edge of the bed because they could fall off it and hurt themselves, hence the grey wolf who will bite painfully your side if you sleep on the bed’s edges) 🤣🤣🤣 that and her being afraid of the “ Baba Yaga” of not only her birth country’s folk lore but the stories of her ( R ) that the RR would tell to threaten and scare the black widows with . Russia and Eastern European countries are full of more superstitions folklore , songs and cultural influences like that ( I am by no means an expert and I don’t know all of them nor the culture tie to them), I think that even though she will adamantly deny it deep deep deep down Nat holds all of her birth country’s folklore, songs, superstitions and cultural influences very closely to her heart and beliefs.

R was born in and is from the 19th century so was there for the PEAK of the Grimm Brothers Fairytales and the darkass children stories that had the purpose and function to teach children lessons, morals and the potential dangers of the world. R was born in 1832 and the Grimm Brothers Fairytales ( a book of collected fairytales from world wide but mostly Eastern European countries/ cultures. And the inspiration for most if not all of the OLD DISNEY movies. Such as Snow White, cinderella , sleeping beauty, The little mermaid and you get the idea ) came out in 1812 so R probably got the book as a gift for her birthday or Christmas . She absolutely loved that book and misses it ( while she doesn’t fully remember her childhood or her parents/ what happened to them she does remember getting that book and loving it) , it also means she isn’t a stranger to the old and darker children stories of Eastern Europe or in general. Plus she was VERY CONFUSED by the older Disney movies because that isn’t HOW SHE REMEMBERED the story going ( the original fairytales that the Old Disney movies are based on is sooooo fucking dark and twisted, I am not even kidding) but she enjoyed/ enjoys them nonetheless.

As I mentioned earlier I believe that R does use the journal that Rogue got her just not as a journal , I think that she writes down the bits and pieces that she can remember from her past and also the things that were dug up on by herself, Jean, professor x or any of the others . She has multiple notebooks, journals and other things but the journal that Rogue gave her is especially important because well rogue gave it to her and R uses it to write down her notes about what R remembered of / pieced together about Esther Hudson. I also think that R was a avid writer in her journals / diaries when she was younger ( because A ,there wasn’t much to do back then especially when she was sick / is a sickly frail child and B , that was the only way she had a outlet for her true thoughts , feelings and her true self. Nothing was fake or pretend within the pages of her diary/ journal.) but she stopped writing when her mutation hit ( she had finished the book she was writing in the night that everything went down before going to sleep) because it was hard to write a journal/diary on the run / even getting her hands on one and the utensils to write with and two she didn’t want it found and have people found out that R was really Jane Howlett . Later on when R found out that she stopped aging she wanted to keep lasting records of her to a minimum ( one of the reasons she didn’t want her pictures taken) .

I will close off this post with the thought that occurred to me when I cut my hand . I have decided not to put my SB thoughts here because it might make this too long and those thoughts deserve their own post so they can be really flushed out . But I think that it would be hilarious if the grumpy badass Sergeant Romanoff is the same way of being scared to sleep anywhere but the middle/ center of the bed because she is terrified of the grey wolf and scared of the Baba Yaga . That she and Yelena take the superstitions , fork lore, songs and cultural influences of their Eastern European roots very seriously even if they adamantly deny it out loud. Before SB Nat didn’t have the people she was with stay in bed with her and didn’t give a shit if they were on the edge or not . But when she let SB stay the first time ( after she fucked their brains out ) and on wards she was adamant that they were on the middle/ center of the bed with her ( this was the first subconscious sign that she cares about SB ) . SB has never question why she is so adamant about that , always figuring that Nat didn’t want them to fall out of bed.

Ok Now for the last thought brought on by my injured hand, I got lost on a train of thought. R was just in the school after the students came back and R was helping them bring in all their overstuffed luggage. R was talking with and was surrounded by a gaggle of the youngest students and while R was working with the luggage her the knuckle of one of her fingers bushed against some metal and it cuts a grazing chunk of her finger ( that was generally what happened to me at work and that shit hurts like hell) . So R puts down the luggage and grabs something to stop her finger from bleeding ( also trying hard not to swear in front of the little kids but she does say ow ) Nat is watching on with Jean as they were talking and with a wide smile Jean tells Nat to watch what happens next. A little kid comes running in with bandaids ( R has already healed) but as R bends down with a smile taking and putting on the bandage ( it is one of the little kids type bandaid , the cartoon ones) thanking the little kid and telling them they are a lifesaver. All the little kids emphasize that R CANNOT TAKE OFF the bandaid until the boo-boo is healed and they all took turns kissing it better. Jean then explained to Nat that the little kids don’t know about R’s abilities and think that the quick and flawless way that R heals is because of “ ✨Healing magic ✨” Jean gestures to the scene before them at this . She explains that whenever R hurts self or yells “ Ow” this happens, and R has walked around all covered in bandages before. R also lets the little ones play nurse ( R is the school nurse and the kids love and look up to her so the play nurse instead of playing doctor)on her. Jean asks Nat not say anything to them because that would break their hearts. R heard Jean and Nat and she heard Nat promise not to say anything and with a content smile went back to work bringing the kids overstuffed luggage back in with a child bandaid on her finger .

PS I am adding this to the end of this post because I am pissed at the fact one of the sections I wrote was just lost . It was a thought / image of Wolvie and Nat being in bed together and R sleeping on the edge of the bed falling out of it clutching her side because she landed on it ( in the song the wolf bites your side) and she is pain . A half asleep Nat yells out “it’s the grey wolf”🐺🐺🐺 in Russian and R just looks at her like “ Girl SERIOUSLY 😒 😒😒” . It was just all about Nat’s fear of the grey wolf and it was really good to. * VERY HEAVY SIGH 😔 😔😔* I will just rewrite it on a different post . Also Wolverines aren’t wolves but a small and vicious breed of animals that can and will square off with ANY THING , especially when that thing is bigger then them . They are cousins with the honey badger , I know that wasn’t the point you were trying to make Vulture but I thought it would be a cool fact to share .

Oh no I hope your finger is okay 😭 Last week I punctured my thumb pretty bad and not being able to use it was so annoying lol

I wonder at what point Nat will realize the legend behind all these lullabies and folklore tales is literally the same person she's in love with lol

I remember reading some of those fairytales as a kid! And as morbid as most of them were, they are very iconic. I love the idea that R is very into Disney. Imagine how she would react if Nat finds out and takes her on a trip to Disneyland one day.

I have to give it to you anon, I really like your idea that R uses her journal more as a memory keep for her past, but not so much for her current times. Sometimes, Nat sees R writing in her notebook and is very tempted to read it (because R does not take any liberties to hide or lock up her journal), but Nat respects R too much to sneak a peek and is happy to wait for R to tell her what she's been writing instead.

(I bet Sergeant Romanoff would purposely push her bad partners towards the edge of the bed lmao. But once she gets with SB, she happily lets them take up as much space as they want in the middle.)

R wearing a bandaid that has Looney Tunes characters on it or something, I absolutely love it 😂

I don't think I've ever used R's "Wolverine" title in the actual fic yet. Perhaps when I finally do, Nat assumes a wolverine is related to wolves and then is told by Scott that wolverines are just grungy little animals, and she thinks Scott is just being mean about R (as usual) and then is shocked when she finds out...he's kind of right 😂

look, this is old stuff i wrote a long time ago but im not even editing it, so im trying to gif ouat and i have to actually rewatch some parts to find scenes i want to gif, mostly sq (of course) but every time i do it i remember how much i hate the way it treats regina!

don’t get me wrong, i was thinking same when i just started it and yeah, i liked regina but i was not like SHE IS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE back then and i still feel it. i hate the way they treat her.

i do realize who she was and what she did, she was a total bicth, with bad communication skills, instead of trying to get what she wants the right way she threatened people, manipulated them, killed them. and i could go miles how it’s the only way she knows, which is true but i will not. i will not start defending her here, i will just say that if take away all of knowledge we have, about what disney characters they were before and if we look at it only as a people who live in a small town called storybrooke, with a mayor who has adopted son, son who finds his real mother and brings her there thinking they are all story book characters, don’t you think it is kind of unfair to regina?

let’s see, madam mayor, maybe not the happiest woman alive had some kind of a relationship with sherrif and tried to not show it to her son, who only found out he was adopted and freaked out on the level to think his mother is Evil Queen! so, i think i can understand why she would not want henry to know about it yet. maybe she is strict mother, but she did try to give henry everything from what i see. but somehow, everyone knows BETTER.

when emma arrives she suddenly feels a need to protect and be sure HER son is fine because she met this woman for 30 minutes and decided she knows better. she literally says that to regina in second episode that she knows better. i mean, rewatch that red panties scene with apples. can you imagine what mother would feel if a woman who gave up a child for adoption, never was interested in finding him would come into your life and would tell you she knows what is best for YOUR child after knowing you for a day?? then suddenly the doc you hired to help your child to get those fiction stuff out of their head tells you YOU ARE NOT A GOOD MOM FOR HIM AND AFTER KNOWING HENRY’S REAL MOM FOR A FEW DAYS SAYS HE WILL GO WITH HER BEING HIS MOM THAN REGINA, i mean yes, she could ask nicely to do a better job instead of going with his fantasies, with recent events you are impatient and feel like your son is more away from you than ever, his real mother is there to take him away, but she did how she knew to deal with stuff, everyone is on emma;s side after knowing her for a few minutes because BECAUSE???/ we know who emma is, they don’t! she could be a serial killer but who cares if you are nice you get pass as a good guy and everyone suddenly accepts you, and just because you don’t treat people with a smile every day they think you are the worst bitch ever, just because she tells you to fuck off from a man who just woke up from coma to find that there was a wife of his and gets into romance with another woman he doesn’t know, ruining his promising life with his wife you are suddenly lebeled as a bad person. what a one sided show i swear.

i mean, it is ok to have relationships with two women because it is true love and you are all heroes but having affair with a man and not telling your son because you don’t want to make things worse and you are suddenly a bitch!? what the...

so, then suddenly the man she was with breaks up with her because of that woman who is also a real mother of your son but suddenly YOU ARE the problem again. because it doesn’t matter that it all started with her appearance, YOU ARE the problem because you don’t act nice. you don’t go all lovey dovey in front of everyone, running around screaming about true love, i mean if she did i am sure everyone would take it better.

i know she is the evil queen, she did all the bad things and all, she acts like a bitch and all. but honestly, none of other characters know it, they rarely show what bad stuff regina did to them, they just fear her and we should accept it because the show tells us she is evil queen. BUT they don’t know, inside this show emma doesn’t believe it, mm doesn’t know it, graham doesn’t know it, archie doesn’t know it, none of them know anything. but suddenly they all know better what is best for the boy and town and not the mother who raised him and the mayor.

i understand emma’s reasons of what she does, but don’t you think it’s a little bit selfish of her? i mean, if you wanted family NOW,why not creating it? why, yes after getting dragged there, you don’t leave and create that family instead of ruining the existing one? maybe if you left (ok town did not let her) henry would stop? i am looking at this from a non magical side because it shows kinda real world, and henry believes in a thing as a child believes he has imaginary friend, you of course don’t rip it off asap, you go slowly, but with everything those people do, they just add gasoline to fire from my side.

imagine the potential of this show if it was not about fairy tale characters? it would be fucking amazing, regina would go crazy because of this and try to get rid off emma, i would to, if my son was taken away from me, my comfort life would be destroyed just because someone suddenly felt they want everything they gave up back, so many years after and blaming you for all the problems instead of helping.

SHE HAS ALL THE REASONS TO BE A BITCH IN THAT SITUATION. you come into her life, ruuining it so fast, what did you expect? her to accept you with open arms? fuck off. i would be mad!

yes, maybe graham did not feel anything for her, and we know he did not, regina took his heart away, but emma doesn’t know that right? so, when he tells regina it’s over, and regina says it is because of emma, both of those idiots say it is not because of emma, but it does happened because of her! but suddenly both blame regina and emma is a good guy because of her they saw how bad regina is and it is her problem now,. emma is not at fault, she is victim here. what the fuck???

ok, i will explain it better, you come into this woman’s life and threaten the peace with her son and even threaten her rights to be his mother for her, then suddenly with your appearance, kisses in the street and all the stuff the man with whom regina slept is breaking up with her and it is still regina being a problem? i am sorry, but do you think anyone would take it fine? i would fucking kick the shit out of emma... wait, yeah, regina tried.

don’t get me wrong,regina is a bitch and did horrible shit, i know graham is a victim here, his heart was taken away, but emma doesn’t know any of it, but she still acts like she knows better when she is the actual reason for that break up, (not taking in mention that he remembered because of emma because for emma he kissed her and that’s all) for emma he is just a man who slept with a mother of her son and kissed emma also. and then he breaks up with regina but it is still not her fault, it is regina because suddenly graham doesn’t feel anything for regina.

so, i will write it down again, it is ok when david kisses mm while still being with his wife because it is love, but emma breaking up the only relationship (kinda) regina had is ok because it was not love. like father like daughter huh kissing people while they are not free...

this show IS one sided. later of course we get more reasoning of regina’s actions and all. but first episodes are fucking horrible in that way, and i am not even mentioning all the adoption issues and showing it the way this show did, because if i start i swear i would go much more with it. i could write entire book of how fucked up it all is in the beginning. that’s awful.

what i am trrying to say is, they could do much better, but they tried to show regina as a bad person so hard they did not think how this looks from apart, because it seems like good guys are good no matter what they do, be it having affair on side, ruining someone’s relationship, threatening peacefull life of a woman because you suddenly want a family and back your son who you gave up after giving a birth to him... you are still good because you do those things to bad people.

and i remember the cora here, because snow’s mom was a total bicth to cora and still got passed as the nicest of all while cora became the worst person ever and got a worst mom of the century award. good guys are still good no matter how bad they are, because somehow the bad things they do, they do to evil people, who were not evil until good guys did those things to them. so, batman situation here, you create your enemies and you are responsible for it, i am not saying cora or regina were saint or something, but imagine if snow’s mom was not a jerk to cora, how things would go? snow and david literally stole a child from a person and ruined her life because that person was evil, so who cares? but when their child was separated for them, yeah, oh regina you are so bad!

and all that stuff with blood relations?? like they are the only true connections and all? the beginning sucked with it! and when it got better with this, the show became a shitty with plot.

i just have so many issues with this show and i know this rant doesn’t change anything and all, it’s too late cause it is finished, but yeah, it exists and someone with a mind not developed yet will watch it and think that being adopted is bad thing and when it gets better plot starts to suck so they stop watching and they are left with a thought of it, and that might stay with them. this shit bugs me because im 27, i don’t want to give a birth, i always thought i will adopt a child and im not gonna get married to a man, that i know.

and what if when i finally have a kid his real mom appears? it’s not about sharing but constant fear that the child will stop loving you because they have REAL mom. i never thought about blood relations as important, for me it’s more about who raised you and gave you everything in your life, did everything for you. i don’t even have a kid yet and already think about shit like this, these kind of things stress the hell out of me. media has a lot of impact on people and ouat is not the only one being shitty in that matter, so yes, it is important that later regina and henry got their happy ending, but before that? how many stopped watching and were left with what it was in the beginning? it would not show regina as less evil if they at least once mentioned that henry is conflicted about thinking that his mother is evil queen, because that is the woman who raised him after all. but no, he jumps into that so easily... in s2 they start everything else with regina and henry’s dinamics. that they finally become family. but before that?? dude that was horrible.

anyway, i did not intend it to be this long, and honestly i could add even more, im just too tired and i try to focus on good stuff in that show, because yes, somewhere there was trapped a really good show which was fucked up by horrible writing. the potential it had. it could be epic. and i don’t even speak about swen here.

♡: how does my muse act, consciously and/or subconsciously, around people they are romantically interested in? It’s in a way much the same answer as the next question. Consciously he’s going to be more genuine and reach out to you for the sake of having you around him. His motivation will not be the usual of

“I’m bored, I’m gonna do [x], and I might visit/call/ect because I don’t tend to do [activity] alone.”

but then it could be really any person.

If he’s romantically interested in you it’s going to be from a perspective of “I’m bored, I’m gonna do [x]. and I’m precisely asking [person] because I enjoy their presence.”

Most of the time, he would simply favor you above anyone else. Subconsciously, you’re easing some demons within him, since hatred is something he can never get rid of 100% but he’s simply not as tense as he was before. He relaxes more because you become a comfortable space/asset.

Much like, if you are angry or upset about something you vent towards your best friend to get it all out of your system. He’s just generally going to be in a better head-space as the effect to the simple act of you being around him.

💘: how does my muse act/react when they first realize that they had a crush on somebody?I think it’s not really something he would experience or either that he’s not aware of it if he’d experience it. Since crushing means in most cases (if not all, I’m not at all familiar with crushes tbh) that is something of a rather temporarily and fleeting emotion and for someone like Marik I think it’s more black and white where he either currently likes you or he currently doesn’t. Squishing would be more proper description of what would happen. If he likes you, like, acquaintance-likes you then naturally he’s never going to really mind conversing with you. Conversing leads to companionship eventually if you see and speak to each other for long enough. So that would then mean that he wouldn’t act any different since it’s questionable when and even if he notices he’s crushing on someone. If he has crushes at all. So the question should rather be how he would act/react when he notices that he’s squishing?

Generally he will be more inviting to you, and your presence will actually mean a difference to him that he’d ask you to spend time with, out of anyone he could have gone to. Maybe that sounds incredibly arrogant but then again my muse is an arrogant son of a bicth The most clearest answer is, I think, he’s actually all-round genuine about his intentions and not just wasting time.

💙: how would my muse handle seeing their object of affection falling in love with someone else?Anger would be an immediate first consultant. Even more dangerous if the object of affection already had a romantic relation with him but lets say circumstance began putting a wedge between the significant other and himself and lets say the significant other has caught on that a romantic relationship wouldn’t work between him/her and Marik, only Marik hadn’t caught on yet.

I think he would hold a lot of rage because anything anger-like has always been his reaction towards anything that he can’t control and he most definitely would feel vindictive towards the person who had gotten too close to the significant other. I think he would do a lot of little things to interfere with a relationship developing to the next level.

It’s a very big deal to him when there’s a person he’s relationship-wise so evolved with that he was able to grow beyond just his anger, hatred, jealousy and general indifference that when it comes down to it nothing and nobody really matters to him since he is so cut off. So when he’s finally able to feel and share warmth and love with a person it’s like, in a way, the ultimate betrayal you could do to him.

so when this person discards him for another one, I think his “animal instincts” from birth are going to come back. You don’t always get to pick if your feelings stay the same or change, as time changes everything and everyone. It happens all the time that people wake up and feeling-wise, everything’s changed out of the blue so they get up and leave. But to him, that won’t matter that this is basically a design flaw in the human nature that we 99% of the time don’t get to decide whether it happens or not, so he will see/feel it as betrayal.

Depending how angry he is in the moment he would either try to subtitle dismember the relationship because getting caught in the act is never a good thing, or blow up from 0 to 10 where you would see him explode and end up in a heated argument with you.

If the object of affection is not yet in a relationship he would likely try to win them over as fast and smoothly as he could. Cuz he has a mind that works like “Anything Marik wants, Marik gets.” Like… Simply desiring something really strongly means you automatically have some kind of ‘right’ that it should become yours.

And if you are someone he sees as an object of his love, then that alone in itself is enough reason for him to feel like you should belong to him. And he would keep an eye on this ‘other’ one who is threatening to steal his prize. It may or may not lead to an invisible competition that the other may not know they are in.

Anything the other can do, he can do better and he would, whether he is aware of doing so consciously or not, be initiative and invite you over more so than the other person would get a chance for.
