no you dont understand why solangelo is good and better than jasico/p*rcico. nico looked up to these guys and admired them like an idol but he could never really approach them or feel comfortable around them. he idolises them unhealthily and if he ever got in a relationship with jason or percy he'd feel like hes not enough because of the big spotlight he sees them in.

meanwhile, will is normal. he's not so powerful (to the extent that everyone looks up to him, like percy) hes just well respected around camp for being a medic. he's easygoing, and yeah, maybe a little insecure about his lack of cool kaboom shakalaka powers but he's just.. a guy.

and i think thats a refreshing change for nico. he doesnt feel like he has to make up for anything because he doesnt view will in that spotlight of a huge powerful guy. it equalises them. and yeah, nico's powerful himself, but from what we've seen will doesnt really 'idolise' him. theyre both just.. normal.

*side note: i think idolising someone and not seeing that theyre flawed, then getting to know them better and seeing that they have flaws too, is a normal thing that happens when crushing on people, but i think that it makes an already unhealthy setup for a relationship. nico idolises percy for years.

As much as I enjoy Neo, I think she was the wrong villain to drop into Wonderland with the squad. Her conflict with Ruby doesn't thematically lend itself to the current arc of self-doubt and weight of responsibility (plus any resolution of Neo's revenge arc will probably end up with her dead since the writers have no idea what to do with her)

Even if Neo calmed down long enough to somehow communicate her grievance of losing Roman, nothing would really come of it. He was an enemy who died in front of Ruby, not because of her. His death is a footnote at best considering two of her friends died in front of her within like, an hour. So, if Ruby tells the truth of Roman's demise, then there's only two outcomes. Neo either thinks she's lying (which would be dumb. There's literally nothing to gain from it) and keeps attacking her until one of them is dead/left behind in Wonderland or Neo believes her and...???

(Seriously where can Neo go after this conflict is resolved? She doesn't care about Salem's cause, there's no one who cares about her, and she probably can't return to her previous life of crime since she was based in Vale. Neo's entire existence revolves around Roman; take that away and you have even less than a ghost)

You know who would be able to excel in a chaotic world and take advantage of Ruby's mental instability? Tyrian

This guy is able to bypass the barriers that keep someone safe, both literally with his ignore-aura seblance and metaphorically. When the writers aren't playing up the "woohoo wacky crazy psycho" schtick, which gets real old real fast, Tyrian is one of the most adept psych-analysts in the entire show. This guy read Mercury and Emerald like the morning newspaper even though they kept their distance from everyone but Cinder

In her current state, Tyrian could pick Ruby apart petal by petal until not even a bud remains. Or better yet, try getting her to align with Salem

"It's so sad, isn't it? You put in all that work, did all that planning, and Atlas still fell. The relic lost. Your friend died.

"I know you did your best. But it wasn't good enough. You weren't good enough.

Getting into skz was a bad idea because I've always had a penchant for collecting things, ESPECIALLY different variations of the same thing... and boy, does this album have different variations of the same thing.

#started with coins and beanie boos as a kid and then as a tween/teen i got super into riot grrrl groups #and the runaways was the proto all girl rock group from the 70s so i ended up collecting so much stuff #and tbh i still love all of it like the 70s japan had the best a3 size photobooks #just huge glossy pictures and then of course i collected all the records and then all the bootleg records that were recorded live #i was on some weird ass back alley websites to find those... hilarious tho it was before the kstew dakota fanning movie came out #and the runaways were popular in japan australia and a couple european countries but the US never fucked with them #lots of the old collectable shit was in the us the bc they were an american band so i got so much of it for so cheap #no way itd be that cheap now #stray kids albums just feel like smaller versions of the 70s runaways albums #love a good picture book with an album love a good poster i cant help it #i should take a pic of all my runaways merch for my main blog i always mean to do that
