"it's not strong, don't worry." he puts his hand up in defense. "it's an edible," you turn to suguru frustrated. "satoru, what the fuck?" suguru sighs. "you both seem nervous, it'll just help you feel better. plus it doesn't even have the same effect since you both halved it."

an annoyed pout makes it way on your face and suguru punches satoru in the arm in your defence. "you fucked up her mood, dipshit." however that stupid smile doesn't leave satoru's face, "you'll thank me later." he says as he bids you both goodbye.

"you've never had an edible before," suguru asks as you both walk out of the building. "no, how does it feel like?" you huff. To answer your question, I like this excerpt from the old novels to explain how I think Trouble can be in a romance: I usually envision him being casual or friendly and light-hearted, and then catching onto something--some shift in the mood or a lingering glance--and then kind of abruptly shifting into a more intense version of himself. It's not a side of himself he shows very often--we're mostly exposed to the goofy, jocular Trouble, but that 'intense' dominant Trouble is there, lurking underneath it all, and that's kind of the part that he struggles with because it's also tied up in his ferocious past and his temper. It's the same Trouble who can go from smiling and laughing with his friends in a bar to completely unsmiling and intimidating when he overhears some guy being a dickhead to a server nearby, except obviously in these scenarios it's sexual/romantic tension he's responding to (even if he doesn't fully know it's that) rather than regular like situational tension. I don't know if you have access to the alpha build, but the scene in the cave in Chapter 7 when he's warming up MC's hands or the abrupt change from "yay we're having fun" to "something just happened" in his latest day off (when Cordy flirts with you) are good examples of this, too! This sort of stilted "everything is great 95% of the time and then 5% of the time something happens and he can't control it" that's impeding him and MC's easy friendship is what's really throwing Trouble for a loop; he starts to feel guilty and confused and tormented about it because he thinks he's the only one feeling these things and getting in the way of what should be a smooth companionship, so he's just... feeling a lot of things and not knowing what to do with them, lol.

So I imagine 'heated makeout' tends to happen during one of these sudden changes to 'intense Trouble,' when he catches on to something he can't ignore--but I generally don't think it happens because of an outright flirtation or hint of MC's, because he can usually just laugh those off as them just joking around, so he doesn't really respond to those like one might expect? He's dazzlingly good at not catching on to things like that (short of an outright serious confession), so maybe that's why you're having trouble imagining it! I tend to imagine it happening entirely randomly, during some moment of unthinking intimacy, like in the cave in Chapter 7 or during a mission when emotions are high or something like that. Here's another example of what I'm thinking of!

...Or something like that, idk lol! Obviously take all of this with a huge grain of salt and don't let me influence you; however you write Trouble and MC's romance is fantastic! Hopefully some of these tips help you in some way!

HI! Thanks 🤗✨ and that is a difficult question 😅 hmm I will do a top 10!

So let's start!

1. Movie 27 “the million dollar pentagram”

Well after watching the movie it just moved right up the list, I just had to see Aoko there and it automatically became the best movie ever! Hahaha well it is a bit true, but the main reason is that the movie is entertaining, it had me giggling and shocked and then it had action and a bit of angst, it just worked so well I loved it!

2. Movie 19 “Sunflowers of inferno”

To be honest I would put these 3 movies as my seconds( 19, 26, 22), I really liked them so much, but I'm a huge Vincent van Gogh fan! I have been painting replicas of his works (not in an illegal way? Just painting for school projects, for me and gifts) since I was in middle school and when you combine my love for Kid and My love For art well… yeah it takes the cake 😅

3.Movie 22 “Zero the enforcer”

I had a hard time placing 22 and 26 i just find these are the best movies objectively speaking, they had a lot of action and are very quick movies, like there is always something happening and get your attention from start to finish, now 27 has that too and its why it jumped right above all XD. Now this one takes 3rd place because i just watch it more often, like when i travel or im bored and want to watch something exiting this is my go to movie along with movie 4 thats the only reason its above 26

4. Movie 26 “Black iron submarine”

As i said above this might as well be my second favorite as well, is a very well constructed movie, when I showed it to my family I actually said “this might be the best Conan movie in existence” to which my sister answered “because of Kaito Kid?” and when I said he didn't appear on it she actually felt curious enough to watch it and liked it. I really like the way things unfolded, had me focused the whole time and enjoyed it a lot.

5. Movie 4 “Captured in her eyes”

One of the best movies in my opinion! It has that quick peace that I like in movies and I just find it so beautiful!

6. Movie 14 “The lost ship in the sky”

This is other of my go to movies, it has that weird combination between action and humor that I love and I just loved the team work between Kaito and Conan

7. Movie 23 “The fist of the blue Sapphire”

It was a good movie! Don't get me wrong, I feel I should love it more, not that I don’t, is just it's not one of those movies I would seek to lift my spirits but the one I would watch to see just how cool Kid is and inspire me to write something😅

8. Movie 25 “The bride of Halloween”

I think the main reason this is even on the top 10 is because of Furuya Rei, I liked it a lot! Like most of the movies of DetCo but it lacked the sparkle? Idk I feel like I saw what was coming from the beginning but it was enjoyable. I loved the scenes of his past and Takagi acting like Matsuda 👌🏻✨

9. Movie 3 “The last wizard of the century”

It's just a classic you know? Like the whole story was entertaining, how Kid blew up a fucking power central just to find where the eggwas? the attempting murder on Kid, how he later saved Shinichi’s ass? It was glorious I really liked it but not as the ones up

10. Movie 20 “The darkest nightmare”

It's a great movie! I'm putting it down here because it made me love a character and then took it away from me so quickly that it makes me emotional when I watch it 😭😂✨

Wellp thats my top 10 is obviously based on my personal preferences and i tend to like the movies where Kid appears because it ads a bit to the comical area and the action (I have always loved movies with heists and thievery (not only kid and lupin the 3 ones)) so yep I hope you guys like this and i’ll be delighted to read your top 10 as well!

one of my favorite things about pride and prejudice is that in the last third of the book Elizabeth’s internal monologue about Darcy is her admitting that she’s in love with him but also putting all sorts of qualifications around that statement that kind of ...tamp down the level of emotion (the “feelings, if not as tender as Jane’s for Bingley, at least as just” line, even the whole thing about her and Darcy being well-matched objectively speaking) and as soon as she’s engaged you get the unbridled joy in the narrative about her own joy, cc: “I am happier even than Jane; she only smiles, I laugh.”

Shinjiham is cute when it’s romantic but tbh I think i vastly prefer the idea of them being best friends instead. Like, neither of them really saw it coming and weren’t really looking to get another best friend (Shinji has Akihiko, Kotone has Junpei and Yukari respectively) but it happens anyway. Kotone takes a liking to Shinji much faster than she does anyone else and I’d say a big reason is just the fact that he’s so reserved that it allows Kotone to do most of the talking while he just listens and they love this arrangement cuz Kotone doesn’t get to talk about her own interests very much. Though I think some of her needs to talk to Shinji stems from this insecurity that he isn’t happy in the group and she has this people pleasing problem and wants everyone to be happy so she makes a much bigger effort to talk to Shinji. And it’s very unfortunate because Shinji intentionally acts cold and distant because he doesn’t want to form any attachments because he wants to die soon, but aaaaaaaagh dammit this girl just keeps talking to him and being sweet and encouraging him to engage in his interests and share them with the others and he just can’t seem to say no when she’s got those damn puppy eyes. And Kotone is just able to get him out of his shell by being persistent but not in an overwhelming way, she’s very cheerful and supportive of him. And Shinji is able to offer her support by encouraging her to talk about herself and by making sure she’s taking care of herself. They just click really well and make such a positive dent in each other’s lives and it’s all about basic acts of kindness going a long way you know?

Holy fucking shit. Went to see Hadestown and I think I now get that cliche of actors seeing live theatre for the first time and being absolutely awestruck by it? Like I could literally never be an actor, (anxiety says no) and it’s not like I haven’t been to other musicals before, but I got surprisingly good seats for it and that shit was straight up transfixing. (As someone who knows fuck all about music-) Hadestown always feels very stand-out and unique musically to me in fairness, but even that aside, it was just so beautiful and fascinating- I love watching how all the moving parts both effects-wise and instrumental/dancing/acting/singing-wise fit together so beautifully to create such tangible, immersive scenes/settings. It’s so insane but I could honestly go on about lighting design alone for stuff like this for at least an hour

i get the frustration with so many villains now getting treatment like “oh they had a sucky childhood so actually you need to feel bad for them and not hold them accountable for their actions” but the counter of “this person was born evil and cant ever grow and its pathetic to assume that they can, also people cant be redeemed no matter what and this is fantastic writing actually” is so exhausting.

#like... no one is born grinning maliciously with a knife out the womb. no one starts out that way #and anything thats ever tried to portray a character that way at birth has only ever been ironically funny #idk its annoying when people are like ''actually its more interesting that the character doesnt have a motive for killing people''#like. coming off of bullet train rn but even ''this character otherwise has a perfect life but they accidentally killed and now theyre #fascinated with all the ways people can die'' is more interesting than ''idk thats just how they are *shrugs*''#like yes someone can have the perfect upbringing and social life and still turn out to be sadistic but you can still work with that #as opposed to ''they were born evil thats just how they were always gonna be SORRY''#like. idk go into that ''perfect social life and family''. what did that family value? what were the friends like?#what did that person experience outside of those things? what did they consume?#did their social standing actually breed some sort of entitlement to them? do they perhaps freak out if something doesnt go their way?#are they insecure deep down? does that drive them to it? are they a perfectionist? do they assume peoples feelings?#i remember reading this wc fancomic that explained why a character was evil and like her mom died #and the attention from her mothers death made her obsessed with being fawned over so she started medical abuse #and letting her patients die so that people would fawn over her the same way every time #and the op was like ''HEY before you yell at me shes NOT evil bc her mom died ok she was gonna turn out evil no matter what''#like... no no go into the emotional vulnerability implied there. go into the morbid introduction to slow death at a young age #go into the potential desensitization go into that. youre already willing to make her multifauceted and with positive traits #why are you afraid of implying shes even SOMEWHAT sympathetic and just want to say she was gonna do that regardless #and i fault the atmosphere around this stuff most of all like we should never have implied that giving a villain a reason to be evil #was stupid woobifying bullshit that was out of touch with reality #echoed voice

You know the german schoolsystem did you a solid one when you watch the 2022 remake of "all quiet on the western front" and your first response is to go get a bucket to puke in because of how disgusted you are at just the speech of that one guy at the beginning, telling all these poor boys that they'd be glorious heroes in war, knowing fully well that only one of them at most will make it back alive. Can't believe that there are people who saw this movie and still think that there is any kind of glory in war, in killing for the sake of someone that doesn't even know you exist until the moment he has to sign the papers so your family can be notified of your death and claim the survivors benefits and not even that is guaranteed seeing how many people are still considered "missing" from all the wars with no confirmation of death.

Edit bc I have some more thoughts and wanna add stuff in general:

btw I've all seen the two previous versions of the movie in history class and read the book in my own free time and if you have an interest in german history and can sit through several different iterations of the same story then I'd really advise you to watch all of them. I don't remember much of the black and white version bc my adhd brain decided to eat a hole into my memory but the first colour variant has a very different ending to the 2022 version that can be some great food for thought. My countries history is most certainly not the best and most bedazzeled but it's im portant to learn about it, especially the really ugly parts, and not repeat the same mistakes and pretend like it never happend (looking right at the peeps over in north america who want to be all hush hush about slavery, strategic massmurder of the natives and warcrimes in the east and take black history out of school, I see you, stop it).

Also idk if there is an english translation out, but if you are also interested in learning about WW2 from the perspective of an actual KZ inmate I'd recommend you take a look into "Der Fotograf von Auschwitz" it's a book written about the very real experiences of Whilhem Brasse who was sent to the camp at the age of 22 and then forced to be the photographer at the camp, taking pictures of the inamtes for dokumentation or just for the shits and giggles of the guards and officers. The book featured photos that Brasse took in his time in the camp as well as detailed explanations for terms and practices, it was first published in 2007, but then republlished in 2014, two years after Wilhelm Brasse passed away in 2012, to honor him and the bravery he has shwon all throughout his life and the service he has done to all of us by sharing his experiences.

I really like both of these books, even though they cover two completely different eras in the history of germany and one of them is fiction while the other is a retelling of a persons life. Fiction or not, both of these sources portray the horrors of the individual periods very real, bare without excuses and close to comprehensible, though I don't think I'll ever be able to fully comprehend or understand what the people back then had gone through simply because I didn't live through it myself and I pray that I'll never have to. There are many people out there who are suffering in similiar situations right this moment, be it in the chinese torturecamps for the Uyghur people to force them into conformity or the all the brave ukranians and volunteers from other countries who fight for their home, history and families in a war against a tyran that claims to be the victim while sitting on a stash of atomic warheads. It's for those people that we have to be taught about these crimes of the past, so we can recognize them in the future and take them on informed, prepared and head first.
