🍁 How is your current WIP going, and can we have a sneak peek?

technically I have like 8 WIPs right now, but we're gonna go with CIA!juke since that is the one I'm currently posting. it's surprisingly going really well, but I think that's mostly because I've decided I don't care about making it *good* I just want to make it the most ridiculous love letter to my weird niche college experience at culinary school lol I would say at least 99% of the things that happen in this fic actually did happen while I was in school so that is making it very fun and nostalgic as opposed to frustrating. here's some of my favorite banter from the next chapter!

“Alright where is she?” Alex asked in a bored tone, snapping Luke back into focus.

“Where is who?” He responded in what he hoped was an equally bored tone.

The look Alex shot his way made him think he had not succeeded.

“Julie, obviously. You were off in La La Land so she’s gotta be around here somewhere.”

Alex made a show of standing on his tiptoes and scanning the crowd. Luke huffed and placed both hands on his shoulders, bodily forcing Alex back to a flat footed stance.

“Look if this is to get back at me about the whole Willie gym thing, I’m sorry. I truly thought you would appreciate getting to watch him in all his sweaty glory, okay? It’s not my fault you didn’t tell me you have exercise induced asthma. How does that even work with playing the drums? Do you have to like keep an inhaler with you behind the kit just in case? Is that why you wear that fanny pack all the time? Oh man, this is all coming together now.”

⭐ What part about writing do you struggle with the most?

PACING. 100% I am the worst at pacing out a fic in a way that makes sense. I am forever doomed to make people fall in love in three days while also needing 50,000 words to do it🙃

🌵 What is your favorite kind of fan fiction to read?

I am a simple fic reader. I see my OTP, I see a light angst/fluff tag, I. AM. THERE. Bonus points if it somehow involves an enemies to lovers trope and/or soulmates. also, I high key love fantasy AUs because they are so extensive and fascinating and I always learn something new.
