- Prefers fine wines, but became an expert in all things spirits when he expanded his small specialty wine shop into a full-service liquor store and tasting room.

- End up doing pretty much everything himself to keep the business running - not because Sam is incompetent, per se, but because he’s too much of a control freak to let anyone else do it.

- Seen by many as an unapproachable, insufferable snob, but he’s a steadfast, dependable and generous friend if you can earn his trust and/or respect.

- Sometimes has to take a few days, up to a week off due to a flareup of his soul sickness.

Sambuca (SwapFell Indigo Papyrus)

- The face of customer service - though he tends to get anxious about it.

- Usually the one managing the registers.

- Helps customers find new things to try - Jäger is gruff and intense, and doesn't listen to what customers actually like, instead shoving his own tastes and preferences on them, while Sam will listen and be helpful.

- Moonlights as a bartender some nights at the Mafiatale dive bar (Cheaper Than Therapy) - he’s very good at what he does, and he uses the extra cash from tips to buy art supplies (I like to think he does flair bartending).

- A very talented artist, but too shy to share his works in public - secretly envies Ink and his grandiose murals.
