Idk why but I feel like Tim and Steph are gonna break up soon. Even if Timkon or StephCass don’t become canon soon I don’t imagine TimSteph will be together for much longer, but that’s probably just wishful thinking
Yeah no I definitely also get that vibe.
Like the first hint there I think is how during Future State they were already broken up, which even though yeah not everything in Future State is happening, it was definitely starting to set the tone for some things to come.
For example Future State had Tim have his own separate Robin story and Steph and Cass had a Batgirls story together, and based on Urban Legends stuff that’s coming up that seems like it’s going to continue being the case. They’re really pushing into Steph and Cass being Babs’ field team as Batgirls together and Tim seems to be off doing his own separate thing.
Now obviously them just showing up separately more rather than together doesn’t necessarily mean a breakup, but I do think it could easily lead into that direction, especially considering how Future State: Batgirls was really pushing the StephCass bait (pls read my friend’s analysis on the Odyssey quotes they used in the story).
In general it just feels like DC has different directions planned for Tim and the Steph/Cass duo (and literally they’re now like... always appearing as a pair together. Since Joker War Zone we’ve had like, Future State obv, cameo in Infinite Frontier #0, cameo/short appearance in issues of Batman, cameo in some preview pages I saw float around twitter for Robin #1 tomorrow, and then their upcoming Urban Legends Story just off the top of my head) so I wouldn’t be surprised if they cut off the Tim/Steph relationship so they wouldn’t be tethered to each other the same way anymore, and the characters could head in different directions

this will probably get expanded on in the issue itself but i’ve been made insane by the infinite frontier #5 preview and the sudden clarity of the role jared stevens is meant to play in all this and how it’s a completely intentional choice that it’s him doing this rather than just a random cameo on the writer’s part
we’re told of worlds erased across various crises that leave only the heroes of earth 0 as winners and how darkseid has offered a protection deal to various people across the multiverse -- this is half fact and half manipulation but what remains is the reality of jared having taken psycho pirate up on that deal
Tumblr media
out of the heroes of earth 13, he’s not only the sole balance but also the only one willing to save the world at great personal loss and the inevitability of being portrayed as a villain for it. we know this to be true because this has already happened before with main universe jared during the four horsemen of the apocalypse arc in the book of fate (1997). he saves the world & reality as we know it and is made a wanted criminal for it. this is earth 13 jared’s horsemen moment. cannot describe how beyond excited i am to see his full return and (hopefully) whats to come

Hey. What do you think of the preview for the stargirl spring special? I like the relative simple explanation for Green arrow being the Golden Age green arrow. Curious how they'll work out the time traveling changes for the rest of the team since spider isn't there. Here's hoping they do them justice, and that Sir Justin gets involved with Justice League Dark, considering the current story is centred around Merlin.
did the spring break special already come out? I got the infinite frontier #0 where they just introduced pat and courtney and then greg hit up pat but did the second part of that come out?
work has been a nightmare lately so i've been kinda under a rock

What's on TV: 'Shark Week,' 'HarmonQuest' and 'Ghost in the Shell'
It's summer, and that means it's time for Discovery Channel's Shark Week. Along with the usual specials, it also has Shark After Dark talks set up hosted by Chris Hardwick. In non-shark related news, there's the second season of Community creator Dan Harmon's HarmonQuest streaming on SeeSo, while Netflix will release The Incredible Jessica James later this week starring former The Daily Show correspondent Jessica Williams. Also, on Blu-ray there's the live action Ghost in the Shell movie, and Boss Baby. Tough choice. Look after the break to check out each day's highlights, including trailers and let us know what you think (or what we missed).
