Wait sorry I misread the prompt, what other rw artists have given you ideas/inspiration for your own work?

Oh my goodness you have no idea how many people in this fandom whose works I enjoyed, appreciate and inspired from, this includes my friends. Looking through rain world fanart everyday is my morning newspaper and these people are my highlights (the whole newspaper is yellow this way)

I really do wish to enlist all of them, but I'd be here FOREVER, so I'll just give a handful of who's at the top of my head rn (if youre not included in this list then im sorry but i insist you're up there in my clouds aaa ; if i mispronounce you then please lmk- i always use they/them and has become a habit)

dddeerbo - I am inspired by their shape language and how they design characters. I am willing to commission them again in the future (if I have enough money)- perhaps my version of Artihunter this time OR I want to see them draw my cookie run dogboys in their vision.

Kelocitta - (in a previous ask, she was the inspiration for my drive for artihunter), but aside from that, I am thoroughly impressed by their shape language and the choice of colors

Northflowo - I am not an animator but I am impressed by how smooth their animations are. It has somewhat encouraged me to join the Plioscene MAP, which is also my first ever MAP participation.

Lyss-Butterscotch - Inspired me with their gijinka designs, which encouraged me to make my own and give more attention to how I design my own iterators

Shkika - Like lyss, has been a motivation to give more attention to my iterators. I really enjoy the stories she makes.

Mewguca - a good friend and makes cute designs! their art is so soft and squishy, and very friendly-looking. has been very encouraging to me.

anomalouscorvid - I've been quietly observing faer designs outside of rain world and I can say its very creature (positive). I've been meaning to try my hand on more creature-like designs on other rain world creatures or other experimental styles.

sunfish - inspired by their painterly works- you did all that in mspaint?? wtf

bitteraerie - one of my first inspirations in the fandom- i enjoy its designs, shapes, colors and- once again- you made all that in mspaint????

dieselpvnk - HOW YOU SHAPES, COLORS AND IN MSPAINT WHAR HELLO?

fauxbia - I am extremely impressed by how they work around their colors in gradients and the textures she got. i think shes a good friend and has been a light to my encouragement to continue drawing.

ninten-draw - extremely cute drawings and makes really good comics. I enjoy their choice of colors AND THEIR COMICS.

faeling - their drawings are cute, edible and inspirational in terms of story telling and characterization. (i am grabbing some of their ideas as we speak)

chillysaint - colors, shapes and oughh do i really want to hug their scugs. i respect them heavily.

snail-fen - extremely encouraging but also has cute and shaped designs (i think you are starting to see the trend here lol). I love their stories and concepts (ruff n ruff is like my garfield comics (i say this in a positive way))

macchitea - HOW YOU DO COLORS I WILL EAT I CANT BELIEVE IM COLLABORATING WITH YOU ON PLIOSCENE

designed an iterator oc just for fun

his name is reflections in glass (or Glass for short). he was an architect/construction facility who used to build for the ancients living on his local group’s structures and also help construction of other iterators. he was pretty happy with it, until his creators were gone

now he’s a feral bastard sending his puppet into the wild like a little RC car trying to scrounge pieces to keep his superstructure functioning

If it’s alright with you, I’d love to hear more about your version of Chasing Wind! I absolutely love the idea of half the city being inside their can, and all the cool stuff in the surrounding area, and her design!

awww shit i don't have MANY Wind thoughts she's mostly in the bg. but i'm gon try n scramble for smth for u, captn

to her design, a few small facts! they are the iterator who's design has probably changed the least since i've first made one for them two years ago

her design is HEAVILY inspired by @/inkycorvid, especially the earrings!!! praised be the elder sage for big brain design thoughts

her current outfit is based off of the Rattanakosin dress of Thailand! (simplified to hell n back cuz gods i do have to limit myself Somehow with this kinda stuff else my hand goes caput 🙏. i still have yet to really get the outfit down properly tbh)

the city being half within them and their citizens genuinely loving them lead to Wind becoming SOMETHING of a teacher to the side of her main jobs as an Iterator. this is mostly the case because i sent this vid to shkika sayin "my Wind vibes" and she replied with

so now i'm fucked up about it, because this fucca -points at the screenshot- is SO right about that, that WOULD happen. Wind is SO fuckin excited about teachin kids funky stuff like that. Full of Energy

their holy characterization formula is "good-looking jolly young teacher in either kindergarten or first few years of elementary school who knows martial arts" she looks like an absolute sweetheart but can put a man into an involuntary nap with singular karate chop. like she's still a pushover but at some point the hands start flyin

a city within the iterator is practically unheard of

Wind LOVES their interjections. like every other sentence is gonna have an "oh!" "ah!" "hah!" or smth of the like in it. i didn't headcanon this on purpose she just started doing it herself in her dialogue so i guess that's her Thing now

their positive attitude towards everything ever and their love of kids brought them close to Nish. these two together in one room is like LED headlights on a car. they are so fucking bright you're gonna go blind within seconds

nobody knows how- least of all Suns- but Wind ended up growing very fond of and close to Suns. they converse theory and go through simulations together a lot, when Wind's communications aren't down because of the tornadoes. if this was one of those AUs where the iterators, as their puppets, just hang around, those two would be like constantly at each other's hip. often subconsciously. they are like that one fuckin char dynamic meme

Wind is like the only iterator who took Suns' degression into their Hot Girl Summer arc ""well"" cuz she's just tryin so so hard to be positive to the point of blinding herself to bad things completely later down the line. even Nish was wigged about The Hot Girl Summer arc. The Hot Girl Summer arc is Not A Good Thing

ignoring Suns' drama: Wind's voice gets shot at some point and as result it becomes reverbated. the reverbs get worse when she's in distress
