Daily Spell: September 17th

Spell to Overcome Being Intimidated

You’ll Need:

A black candle

A black-and-white photo of the person

A red marker

We've all encountered people that are a little intimidating. We worry that they're smarter, richer, or more beautiful than we are, or they just have a commanding presence that makes us feel inadequate. Sometimes the problem is not with them, but rather our own self perception. If someone makes you feel intimidated - whether on purpose or unintentionally - do this working to help you overcome it. Try to do this spell in the week following the full moon, if possible.

Light the candle, and say “Feelings of intimidation, I banish you. Feelings of inadequacy, I banish you. Feelings of shortcomings, I banish you.”

Place the photo in front of you, and use the marker to decorate it. Draw silly eyebrows, flowers in the persons hair, a big goofy smile, and so on. Have fun with it. Make it as ridiculous as you like. When you're done, look at your artwork with pride, and say “You no longer have power over me, and I will smile when I see you.”

Extinguish the candle, and put the photo away where no one will ever see it. Next time you encounter the person, smile at them as you remember your drawing, and you won't be intimidated anymore.
