So, how's Israel's ground invasion of Gaza going so far? First, some establishing facts
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now on to the actual war (Once again tweets posted in chronological order)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Note: whenever you see IDF death count, know that the real number is much higher. The IDF has a problem of soldiers deserting and the leadership doesn't want morale to sink any lower than it already has]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If that's not enough proof that the ground invasion is going poorly (I mean how could it not? It's guerilla warfare and urban warfare against a group of inexperienced cops. They're using tanks y'all), here are a few more indicators.
Tumblr media
It's no surprise that they hit Jabalia refugee camp after a day of taking heavy losses and being forced to retreat and they hit Jabalia again a few hours ago after yet another day of heavy losses and retreating. It's all impotent rage as they can't strike hard against Hamas.
Tumblr media
Iran has been involved in this from the very beginning. They've been Hamas' main backers for years and Iran affliated groups have been attacking American bases in Iraq and Syria. So if the Iranian Foreign Minister says the ground invasion is going poorly for Israel, he's telling the truth
Israel would not be negotiating if it was winning or making meaningful progress. In fact, it's the pro Palestine side that is controlling the negotiations as you can see above. Israel has been backed into a corner and that's why the Iranian FM feels confident we will see an end to the boardbardment of Gaza
So Yemen declared war on Israel. A lot of people seem to think it's a symbolic act but no, they're very serious
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And finally

"When the first contingents of U.S. troops were being sent to Saudi Arabia, in August of 1990, Corporal Jeff Paterson, a twenty-two-year-old Marine stationed in Hawaii, sat down on the runway of the airfield and refused to board a plane bound for Saudi Arabia. He asked to be discharged from the Marine Corps:
'I have come to believe that there are no justified wars. . . . I began to question exactly what I was doing in the Marine Corps about the time I began to read about history. I began to read up on America's support for the murderous regimes of Guatemala, Iran under the Shah, and El Salvador. . . . I object to the use of military force against any people, anywhere, any time.'
Fourteen Marine Corps reservists at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, filed for conscientious objector status, despite the prospect of a court-martial for desertion. A lance corporal in the Marines, Erik Larsen, issued a statement:
'I declare myself a conscientious objector. Here is my sea bag full of personal gear. Here is my gas mask. I no longer need them. I am no longer a Marine. . . . It, to me, is embarrassing to fight for a way of life in which basic human needs, like a place to sleep, one hot meal a day and some medical attention, cannot even be met in our nation's capital.'
. . . When President Bush attacked Iraq in 1991, claiming that he was acting to end the Iraqi occupation of Kuwait, a group of Native Americans in Oregon distributed a biting and ironic 'open letter':
'Dear President Bush. Please send your assistance in freeing our small nation from occupation. This foreign force occupied our lands to steal our rich resources. They used biological warfare and deceit, killing thousands of elders, children and women in the process. As they overwhelmed our land, they deposed our leaders and people of our own government, and in its place, they installed their own government systems that yet today control our daily lives in many ways. As in your own words, the occupation and overthrow of one small nation . . . is one too many. Sincerely, An American Indian.'"

i personally don’t support war and find blindly serving any military awful. I don’t mean to be rude i just wonder why you think that defending israel is the only way to garuntee jewish safety? that feels like taking responsibility off of other countries and leaving diaspora jews vunerable. im really just anti military but this conflict has been awful and i hope for the safety of all jewish people israelis muslims and palestinians but no safety to a government of right wingers
I admire your bravery in reaching out when I don’t have anon turned on. Few would, so good on you.
First off, I’m not serving blindly. None of the soldiers I’m serving with are serving blindly. We all believe in what we’re doing and we’re going to keep doing it until the mission is done and all of our people are safe again. I could get into the nuances of conscription and reserves but I’m not going to. With confidence, succinctly, none of us are serving blindly. (I’m also employed by the IDF outside of reserves so I assure you that I, in particular, love my army and believe in what we stand for.)
I don’t *think* that defending Israel is the only way to guarantee Jewish safety. I know it is. We are a country surrounded by homicidal antisemites. Hamas has stated that they will continue doing what they did on October 7th until we cease to exist. There is no peace for the Israeli or Palestinian people with Hamas still in power. So we’re destroying their tunnels and we’re rooting them out and we’re here for our hostages. Let’s play devils advocate - if Israel didn’t exist do you all honestly think that Hamas and all other Iran proxies would just allow Jews and the Western world to live in peace? Because they wouldn’t. Y’all should be grateful that we’re here because if we weren’t, they’d be killing Jews elsewhere. Don’t let them fool you into believing this is about land. They. Hate. Jews. And Israel is the only place in the world where Jews can truly defend themselves. My grandfather survived the Holocaust BH and he always says that they didn’t have a way to defend themselves in the camps. They weren’t organized. They didn’t have weapons. They didn’t have the upper hand. Well now we’re organized and we’re armed and we’re trained. Never again will we be helpless - thanks to Israel.
“That feels like taking the responsibility off of other countries” - what responsibility? To protect Jews? To persecute Hamas? Feh! None of that will ever happen. Not once has any other country *saved* the Jewish people. And, actually, often times people are turning a blind eye to our persecution - like most of the world did on and after and ever since October 7th. Like they did during the Holocaust. Like they have every time Hamas and PIJ indiscriminately fire rockets at Israel. As I said, never again will our safety be in anyone else’s hands because the world has shown us time and time again that they do not care.
“Leaving diaspora Jews vulnerable” is an insane way to blame the victim. WE WERE ATTACKED. But do you think we needed to be attacked for people to hate Jews? No, this has just empowered them to do so out loud. There has always been a correlation between anti-Israel hate and violence against Jews in the diaspora. In May of 2021 when 4000+ rockets were fired into Israel, goyim in the diaspora took this as permission to act out their antisemitic fantasies. Again when WE WERE ATTACKED. Don’t forget - People were celebrating our massacre before Israel even set foot in Gaza. Don’t let the world fool you into thinking that Israel defending ourselves has created antisemitism in the diaspora, it’s only encouraged it.
I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt here and assume you are not Jewish. I don’t know how to explain this conflict to you - a conflict I have lived my entire life (like my parents and grandparents before me). I don’t know how to share my pain and grief and the pain and grief of my tribe in a way that will make sense. But I’m done needing to justify my existence as a Jew. Israel is done justifying its existence as the homeland of the Jewish people. History has shown us that our survival is our responsibility and I/we won’t apologize for it. The same people that are too cowardly to stand up for us when our people are killed and raped can keep their mouths shut when we defend ourselves.
And it seems like maybe you didn’t read this post that I shared today which really would have answered a lot of this without me needing to go on a sleep deprived rant.

Aggregate news of Palestine For April 21, 2024.
Aljazeera News:
Videos show widespread damage from Israel’s deadly West Bank raids.
Blurb:
Israeli forces have killed more than a dozen Palestinians during a three-day raid on the Nur Shams refugee camp, which has left the occupied West Bank city of Tulkarem in ruins. (Video embedded in article)
Nearly 200 bodies found in mass grave at hospital in Gaza’s Khan Younis
Excerpt:
Palestinian civil defence crews have uncovered a mass grave inside the Nasser Medical Complex in Gaza’s Khan Younis, with 180 bodies recovered so far, Al Jazeera has learned, as Israel has continued bombardment of the devastated coastal enclave for more than six months.
[...]
In a statement late on Saturday, Palestinian emergency services said: “Our teams continue their search and retrieval operations for the remaining martyrs in the coming days as there are still a significant number of them.”
[...]
Israel’s war on Gaza has killed more than 34,000 Palestinians, according to local health officials, devastated Gaza’s two largest cities and left a swath of destruction across the territory.
At least two-thirds of the casualties are children and women. It also says the real toll is likely higher as many bodies are stuck beneath the rubble left by air strikes or are in areas that are unreachable for medics.

CNN:
Israel concludes deadly West Bank raid as war devastates Gaza.
Summary blurb:
The US House of Representatives has approved $26.4 billion in aid to Israel, as part of a wider package of foreign aid, which still needs to pass the Senate.
The Israeli military concluded one of its largest offensives in the occupied West Bank since October 7 on Sunday, saying it killed 10 "terrorists." The Palestinian health ministry and Wafa news agency said 14 people, including a child, were killed in the raid, which left a path of destruction.
Elsewhere in the West Bank, Israeli settlers killed an ambulance driver trying to transport Palestinians who had been attacked, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society. A spike in violence by extremist settlers in the occupied territory has led to more sanctions by the US and EU.
Strikes between Israel and Iran this month spiked fears of a widening regional conflict in the Middle East, but the two sides appear to be stepping back for now.

[ 📹 Footage from the Al-Nuseirat Refugee Camp, in the central Gaza Strip, where the Israeli occupation army targeted and destroyed two residential buildings in the Camp earlier this morning, killing and wounding several Palestinian civilians.]
🇮🇱⚔️🇵🇸 🚀🏘️💥🚑 🚨
ISRAELI SETTLERS LAUNCH POGROMS ON WEST BANK VILLAGES, IRAN SEIZES ISRAELI VESSEL, DESTRUCTION OF AL-ZAHRAA IN GAZA COMPLETE AS CONFLICTS SPIRAL OUT OF CONTROL
On the 190th day of "Israel's" special genocide operation in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation forces committed a total of 5 new massacres of Palestinian families, resulting in the deaths of no less than 52 Palestinians, the majority being women and children, while another 95 others were wounded over the previous 24-hours.
In response to constant Israeli aggression, and the recent Zionist attack on the Consulate section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syria, the Iranian military, known as the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), hijacked an Israeli commercial vessel from the Straight of Hormuz on Saturday, which was covered in a news piece published by Iran's Tasnim news agency.
According to Tasnim, the IRGC seized the MSC Aries, which flies the Portuguese flag, a container ship linked with the London-based Zodiac Maritime, a subsidiary of the Israeli billionaire Eyal Ofer's Zodiac Group.
Tasnim says the vessel was in the waters off the coast of Dubai, heading through the Straight of Hormuz with its transponder turned off at the time it was seized, apparently a common tactic of Israeli-owned or operated ships.
Meanwhile, hundreds of Israeli colonial settlers and their organized militias launched a pogrom against several Palestinian towns and villages across the occupied West Bank of Palestine.
According to reports, armed Zionist colonial settlers, backed by the Israeli occupation forces, launched several large-scale assaults on Palestinians and their property, including the firing of live bullets towards Palestinians civilians and their vehicles, as well as burning Palestinian homes and cars.
The raid began on Friday with attacks on the town of Al-Mughayir and Abu Falah, northeast of Ramallah, which saw violent assaults on Palestinian families, including gunfire directed at Palestinian homes and vehicles, as well as the burning of several homes and cars, and was soon followed by attacks on the village of Duma, southeast of Nablus, in the northern occupied West Bank, with similar results.
At least one Palestinian, by the name of Jihad Afif Abu Alia, was killed in the assault, while at least 25 others were wounded by the colonists, who were actively being protected by IOF soldiers.
Attacks also occured on the villages and towns of Turmus Ayya, Abu Falah, Silwad, and several villages east of Ramallah, while attacks also occured on multiple villages north of Nablus, specifically the towns of Bitlo, Kafr Ni'ma, as well as several other areas west of Nablus.
In response the pogroms, the largest of their kind since the October 7th attacks by Hamas, the National and Islamic Forces of Ramallah and al-Bireh called for confronting the settler militias and activating the Popular Guard committees.
Calling the attacks "terrorism and brutality," the defensive organization said Israeli settlers were attempting to force Palestinian citizens to leave their homes in the hope of seizing their lands.
In a statement issued by the defense forces, the group urged Palestinian residents to maintain a state of alertness, calling for "constant and continuous vigilance" to "thwart malicious plans aimed at uprooting our people from their land, and to work with all channels of cooperation, coordination, and epic internal solidarity of our people."
The group emphasized the need to activate the popular guard and protection committees, calling on the defensive militias to burn tires at the entrances to villages adjacent to colonies, bypass streets, and to use mosque loudspeakers to to call on neighboring villages, for any area being attacked, and for everyone to come together in one field unit to prevent the implementation of massacres against the Palestinian people.
The group also emphasized the need for taking measures to provide towns and villages with the necessary means of survival and resilience, to support farmers and marginalized groups, work on campaigns at the international level, and to take immediate action to stop Israeli crimes and aggressive actions against Palestinians.
Meanwhile, as Israeli colonial settlers stormed Palestinian towns in the occupied West Bank, the Israeli occupation army continued its constant destruction of what remains of the Gaza Strip after six months of Zionist aggression.
Israeli occupation warplanes focused intensive bombings and missile strikes targeting the outskirts of Beit Hanoun, in the northern Gaza Strip, while also bombarding the neighborhoods of Al-Zaytoun and Al-Daraj in Gaza City, and also bombing and shelling the Al-Fukhari neighborhood, southeast of Khan Yunis.
Occupation forces also completed their destruction of Al-Zahra and Al-Assra in the central Gaza Strip, destroying the remaining dozens of buildings and hundreds of units of residential apartments.
At the same time, occupation forces renewed its airstrikes on the Al-Nuseirat Refugee Camp, in the central Gaza Strip, targeting anyone or anything that moves in the camp, resulting in a number of casualties.
In one example, occupation warplanes bombed the Thabet family home in the Nuseirat Camp, martyring two civilians, while two other Palestinian civilians were killed after IOF fighter jets bombed the Kahil building in the Al-Samer area in central Gaza City.
Similarly, Zionist warplanes bombed a residential neighborhood in the al-Zarqa area of central Gaza City, targeting the home of the Al-Issa family, resulting in the deaths of at least five civilians and wounding more than 30 others, while at the same time, occupation aircraft bombed and completely destroyed the nearby Al-Asi Mosque.
In another atrocity, Zionist forces bombarded the Tabatabi family home on Friday night, located in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City, resulting in at least 28 civilian casualties, while IOF raids were also launched against the Al-Shati Refugee Camp, as well as the Al-Zaytoun and Al-Shujaiya neighborhoods of the city.
Elsewhere, the Israeli occupation army bombed in the vicinity of Sheikh Zayed City, killing two Palestinians from Beit Hanoun.
Local civil defense crews from the Khan Yunis governate also said they recovered the decomposing corpses of 10 Palestinians from under the rubble of the Al-Amal neighborhood of Khan Yunis, in the south of Gaza.
Later, the Israeli occupation air forces bombarded the Al-Fokhari area, southeast of Khan Yunis, while an Israeli reconnaissance drone fired a missile at a Palestinian pedestrian as he walked in the street, severely wounding the man, who eventually died from his injuries after being transported to Al-Najjar Hospital in the southern city of Rafah.
At least two Palestinian citizens were also killed, and several others wounded, after Zionist artillery forces shelled the Nuseirat Camp, in the central Gaza Strip, while the IOF also heavily shelled the Jabalia Refugee Camp in the northern Gaza Strip.
As a result of "Israel's" ongoing special genocide operation in the Gaza Strip, the death toll among the Palestinian population has again risen, now exceeding 33'686 citizens killed, including over 14'500 children and 9'500 women, while another 76'309 others have been wounded since the start of the current round of Zionist aggression, beginning with the events of October 7th, 2023.

Arguably “Dubya” Bush was worse. He started the two forever wars leading to millions of deaths that continue to this day. Hey turned the entire Middle East and Muslim world against us. He, and his papa, shared secret intel with the Saudis and let them off the hook for their role in 9/11. He allowed the New Orleans area be wiped off the map and hired mercenaries to forcibly relocate the survivors across the country at gunpoint. Many families were split by this and some still haven’t been reunited.
He and his sidekick Darth Cheney plundered the economy and made billions for themselves by awarding contracts to Halliburton and other companies they were heavily invested in. He allowed the oil companies to price gouge to record levels and personally profited from it. He made us the laughingstock of the world and damaged relations with close allies. He illegally invaded Iraq which had no connection to 9/11. He allowed the creation of Al Qaeda in Iraq which had previously been prevented by Saddam Hussein. He caused the Iraqi civil war and caused the founding of ISIS and set the stage for the Syrian civil war. He labeled Iran and North Korea as part of the Axis of Evil which pushed them into pursuing nuclear weapons to protect themselves while funding our geo-political enemies.
His mismanagement caused our debt to soar to massive levels. He created an environment which rewarded businesses to outsource jobs to foreign nations. He allowed Karl Rove to bring GOP computer servers into the White House and started the massive misinformation war that Trump and the Republikkkans are using against us today. He allowed guns to flourish on the streets and black people to be treated like second class citizens. He ramped up deportations of individuals from countries he didn’t like. He created military crises (a la Putin) to bring the public to support him at election time and his party at midterms. He gave us the Patriot Act and Homeland Security. He created No Child Left Behind which was a war on public education whose goal was to give educational funding to shitty for profit charter schools and evangelical schools. He began the widespread practice of giving public dollars to non-governmental organizations, evangelical groups, to solve social problems with no oversight.
In fact he was directly responsible for bringing evangelicals into the Republikkkan camp by paying their pastors to preach pro-Republikkkan messages and anti-progressive messages. He started the widespread practice of privatized prisons which turned out horribly. His mismanagement caused the energy crisis, Enron anybody. His mismanagement Aldo allowed 9/11 to happen. They knew and Republikkkan insiders and officials took to flying private charters in the weeks before the attacks.
I could go on but I’m sure not too many are still reading this far down. Let’s conclude by saying without an idiot like W Bush the stage wouldn’t have been set for a bigger idiot like Trump. Trump could have been much worse but he was so inept and insane he gorged himself and squabbled with the press instead of giving the GOP oligarchs what they really wanted. Trump will be known for his massive tax cut for the wealthy and jamming neo-Nazi judges down our throats. Bush stole two elections, Trump mercifully wasn’t bright enough to steal a second.

Albanian police raided the MEK compound outside of Tirana on the order of the country’s corruption and organised crime court, resulting in resistance from residents, one death and over 100 injured, with the Iranian group calling on the EU to intervene. The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (MEK) are an Iranian opposition military organisation that advocates the overthrow of the current regime in Tehran. After being forced out of Iran, they were relocated to Camp Ashraf near the Iranian border in 1985 and sided with Iraq during the Iran-Iraq War. In 1992, they carried out attacks against Iranian embassies in 13 countries and were designated as a terrorist organisation by the US, Canada, EU, UK and Japan for their use of terror tactics. This status was removed during the 2000s, and their members were relocated to Albania and France. Over 1000 remain in Albania in a heavily guarded compound. On Tuesday, the State Police entered the premises to conduct a search, resulting in resistance. The order from the raid came from the Special Court Against Corruption and Organised Crime on suspicions of terrorist and cybercrime. Interior Minister Bledi Cuci condemned MEK for what he called intolerable violence exerted on Albanian police.
“I feel sorry that Albania has offered them everything related to their shelter for humanitarian purposes according to the agreement. It has provided assistance, security, and even protection against threats from Iran’s secret services. For more than 3 thousand days, they have lived in complete safety in our guarantee. Unimaginable and intolerable violence and the reaction they have made to the State Police”, he told the media.
Cuci added that the authorities suspected they were carrying out activities in Albania that run contrary to the agreement laying down the conditions of their stay.[...]
MEK reacted furiously to the raid and levied accusations of violence and violation of human rights against the Albanian authorities. “At the request of the religious fascism that ruled Iran, this morning, 20 June, about 1,000 Albanian police attacked Ashraf in a criminal and oppressive act. Many broke doors, cupboards, belongings, and attacked residents with tear gas and spray. Many computers are broken,” a spokesperson said, adding that one person died and 100 were injured. They demanded EU and international intervention, calling for them to hold the Albania that run contrary to the agreement laying down the conditions of their stay.[...]
In March 2021, MEK was accused by Facebook of running a troll farm out of their base in Albania, closing more than 300 accounts belonging to members.[...]
“The people behind this activity relied on a combination of authentic and fake accounts to post MEK-related content and comment on their owne and other people’s posts, including those of international news organisations presence Radio Liberty, Voice of America and BBC,” said the report. Over the years, many questions have been asked about MEK, with The Guardian questioning whether they are terrorists, cultists, or champions of Iranian democracy and the New York Times describing a visit there as full of “propaganda sessions”. Those who have reported on MEK with a critical view, raised possible legal issues or questioned their bas in Albania, closing more than 300 accounts belonging to members.[...]
In 2019, Exit accessed the compound for a forum and reported that makeup and mobile devices were confiscated upon entry, members wore strict uniforms and were segregated by sex. In the days following the visit, after it was revealed that the journalist intended to write about the forum, they received some 15 calls and messages demanding they return for further tours and ‘explanatory sessions’.
Since 2013, the MEK has held a series of events and summits at its headquarters where US officials and former officials have participated, such as former secretary of state Mike Pompeo, former vice president Mike Pence, and former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani [as well as several democrats]. It is reported that such high-level speakers receive fees exceeding hundreds of thousands of dollars for such events.
MEK state that all negative press and questions asked about their organisation are fuelled by or paid for by the Iranian government.

[NCRI is MEK]
“U.S. leaders such as Vice President Pence, Sec. Pompeo, Secretary Hillary Clinton, Secretary [John] Kerry, General [James] Jones, senior military, many senators and congressmen, and world leaders have visited and supported the Iranian resistance and praised the Albanian hospitality.[...] ["MEK] have come by agreement and at the request of the United States. Tomorrow, the Minister of Interior must come and provide explanations, otherwise, we will refer the matter to the regular commission.” [a member of the National Security Commission of the Albanian Parliament said]
20 Jun 23
The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), a coalition that includes the People's Mujahedin (MEK) group outlawed by Tehran, alleged that the de facto ban on the rally was the result "pressure" on France by the Iranian government. The NCRI, which calls for the overthrow of Iran's clerical leadership, had asked permission for the rally in Paris on July 1, with tens of thousands of supporters expected from France and across Europe. Paris police did not grant approval for the rally as it is "likely to generate disturbances to public order because of the geopolitical context", a Paris police source, asking not to be named, told AFP.
20 Jun 23
[RFERL is US State Media]
The U.S. State Department said in an e-mail to RFE/RL that American authorities were informed that the raid was conducted lawfully and voiced support for Tirana's sovereign right to take such action. "The Albanian State Police have assured us that all actions were conducted in accordance with applicable laws, including with regard to the protection of the rights and freedoms of all persons in Albania. We support the Government of Albania’s right to investigate any potential illegal activities within its territory," the State Department statement said.
21 Jun 23
The State Department reiterated in its statement that the U.S. government does not regard MKO as a democratic representative of the Iranian people. "As we have said before, the United States does not see the [MKO] as a viable democratic opposition movement that is representative of the Iranian people," the statement said. "The U.S. government does not provide support or training to the [MKO], does not contribute funding to the organization, and does not maintain substantive contact beyond issues related to the [MKO]'s resettlement, which was completed in 2016. "The State Department continues to have serious concerns about the [MKO] as an organization, including allegations of abuse committed against its own members," the statement concluded.
The MKO killed U.S. personnel in Iran during the 1970s and carried out a series of terror attacks on Iranian embassies in 13 different countries in 1992, leading to its inclusion on the lists of terrorist organizations of the United States, Canada, the European Union, and the United Kingdom. In 2013 the group was removed from the list amid efforts by Washington to support [sic!] the group in its fight against the Islamic regime in Tehran.
22 Jun 23
Another blow to MEK is the budding Saudi-Iranian normalization. Saudi Arabia, until recently one of Iran’s chief adversaries in the region, was long suspected of funding the MEK. Its high-level representatives, such as Prince Turki al-Faisal, a former ambassador to Britain and the U.S. and a former director of Saudi intelligence, sometimes attended MEK’s rallies where he supported the “downfall of the regime” in Iran. It is entirely conceivable that, as part of the Tehran-Riyadh rapprochement, Saudi Arabia would downgrade its ties to the group, if not abandon them altogether.
26 Jun 23
"We hope the Albanian government will take the practical and responsible step against the group of the hypocrites," Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said at a news conference on Monday, repeating a pejorative term that Iranian authorities commonly use to discredit the group rather than the actual title.
Demanding legal action against the MEK, Kanaani told Albanian authorities that the group will continue to pose threats to their host nations, according to a report by the Tasnim News Agency.
28 Jun 23
[Albania Daily News is Albanian Media]
Prime Minister Edi Rama in an interview with the German media Der Spiegel said that the Mujahideen cannot use Albania to fight against the Iranian regime.  Part of the interview:  SPIEGEL: Mr. Rama, last week the security forces near Tirana carried out an operation in the Iranian MEK camp. Why?  Rama: We have had the MEK in our country for several years. They are welcome, but on the condition that they do not use Albania as a platform for their political operations. Our Iranian guests have repeatedly violated this agreement.  SPIEGEL: Government computers in Tehran have been hacked and sensitive documents circulated. About 100 PCs and dozens of hard drives are said to have been confiscated now. Can you confirm this?  Rama: Albania has no intention of being at war with the Iranian regime. Albania does not accept anyone who has abused our hospitality.  Spiegel: Why did you agree to the request of US President Barack Obama in 2016 to accept thousands of Mujahideen?  Rama: It was a life-saving operation. We opened our doors because the group, then operating from Iraq, was systematically followed. And if a friend like the US asks us for something, we feel honored. [...] We understand the anger against the regime in their country. But our country is used as a trench in a war that is not ours, it does not work! Of course, they have every right to fight for their freedom, but to do so they must leave Albania. [...]
The controls are part of the fight against cyberattacks and terrorism and come after the investigations that started on the cyberattacks that our country faced a year ago. They are suspected to be the result of attacks that were previously carried out against Iran from Albanian territory. In order to verify the suspicions and provide the necessary evidence for the exercise of illegal activity inside the mujahedin camp in Albania, on June 20, the State Police carried out an extensive control inside the camp.

Israel - Gaza... Situation On Friday, October 27 2023
Israeli air strikes killed at least 40 Palestinians. The air raids hit at least three residential areas including refugee camps.
On Thursday, the US military struck two facilities in Syria that were linked to Iran. Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin claimed the strikes were in “self defence” of US personnel in Iraq and Syria, “separate and distinct” from the Israel-Hamas war.
An explosion believed to be linked to the Israel-Hamas war has been reported at the Egyptian Red Sea town of Taba, just across the border with Israel. Reports state that six people have been injured.
Gaza’s deaths have increased past 7,000. On Thursday, the Palestinian Health Ministry produced a 212-page list identifying all those killed in response to doubts over the reliability of the death toll.
Several Israeli air strikes occurred at dawn on Friday, destroying residential buildings and the White Mosque near al-Shati refugee camp.
World leaders gathered at the UN General Assembly on Thursday for an emergency session on Israel-Gaza. They will reconvene today to vote on a Jordanian-backed draft resolution on the crisis.
Nine Arab nations issued a joint statement condemning attacks on civilians and violations of international law in Gaza.
Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki visited The Hague on Thursday to meet International Criminal Court prosecutor, Karim Khan. Al-Malki is trying to gather international support for an ICC investigation and said the Palestinian Authority would cooperate with the process.
The death toll of Palestinians killed in the West Bank since October 7 is 110, with at least 1,900 injured.

"Here’s how things stand on Sunday, January 28, 2024:
UNWRA funding
Several countries, including the US, are reviewing funding to Palestinian refugees’ agency UNRWA after Israel alleged some of its staff were involved in Hamas’s October 7 attacks.
Top Palestinian officials and Hamas have criticised the decision to cut the funding by nearly a dozen Western countries.
Defunding UNRWA could be “violating” the Genocide Convention, said UNWRA’s head Philippe Lazzarini. “Palestinians in Gaza did not need this additional collective punishment,” he wrote on X. “This stains all of us.”
United Nations Secretary Secretary-General Antonio Guterres vowed on Sunday to hold to account “any UN employee involved in acts of terror. But he implored donor states to “guarantee the continuity” of UNRWA operations. “The tens of thousands of men and women who work for UNRWA, many in some of the most dangerous situations for humanitarian workers, should not be penalised. The dire needs of the desperate populations they serve must be met,” he said.
Ireland and Norway have said they will continue to fund the agency.
Humanitarian situation
Thousands fleeing fighting in Khan Younis have arrived in Rafah, where people are sleeping on the street and in tent camps flooded with sewage.
“Tanks shoot at everybody”, Ahmed al-Moghrabi, a plastic surgeon at Nasser Hospital, told Al Jazeera as Israel’s siege on the hospital in Khan Younis continues for the fifth day.
Death toll reaches 26,257 Palestinians killed and 64,797 others wounded.
Diplomacy
Israel would pause war for two months in a deal to release 100 captives, the AP and The New York Times report quoting unnamed US officials.
CIA director Bill Burns is expected to discuss the contours of the emerging agreement when he meets on Sunday in France with Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency David Barnea, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel for talks centred on the captive negotiations.
Meanwhile, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan pressed China to persuade Iran to end its support for Houthis attacking ships in the Red Sea.
Other developments
Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has said there will be an Israeli military administration in Gaza.
Families of captives held in Gaza again rallied in Tel Aviv, which followed after antigovernment protests were held earlier in the night.
Pro-Palestinian protesters gathered outside US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s home for a second night.
Pope Francis renewed his call for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Israel will no longer allow protesters to block trucks carrying humanitarian aid through the Karem Abu Salem (Kerem Shalom) crossing following the ICJ’s ruling that aid must be allowed into Gaza, Israel’s Haaretz reported, quoting Israeli security officials.
Israeli forces arrested nine Palestinians in overnight raids on Hebron and Beita, south of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank, reported Wafa."

god SORRY not to keep blithering on about how much Biden sucks (because it’s BLATANTLY obvious) but it really is insane that his track record is abysmal and violently anti black and misogynistic and radlibs are like “oh well he’s probably changed and gotten more liberal as he’s aged” AS IF THAT HAPPENS ??????? THAT RAPIST MURDERED 1, 000, 0000 IRAQUIS, HE’S LITERALLY MURDERING PALESTINIANS RIGHT NOW ?????
The other asks:
#1
There’s nothing to say any more. We live in a racist world where 40,000 brown people can be slaughtered and no one stops it. But one raging bullying nation can bomb multiple countries then cry at retaliation and the white supremacy of the West kicks into action overnight.
#2
Biden giving the orders for US military to shoot down Iranian drones headed for Israel proves one thing: At any point in time over the past 6 mos he could have prevented Israel from bombing hospitals, apartments and refugee camps - saving countless lives. He chose not to.
#3
So within hours of launching, Biden is convening G7 leaders to condemn Iran’s missile attacks that killed no one, but has no sense of urgency regarding Israel’s bombardment of Palestine that’s killed over 50,000 over the last 6 months ?
I don't disagree.

Based on “reports from Iran and the US”, this is a limited and targeted attack on the Hastam Shikari air force base near Isfahan, a base that took part in the attack against Israel last week.

April 19
On Iran:
Israel’s attack on Iran.
Small drones were somehow launched from within Iran targeting an airbase in Isfahan. Iran shot them down, reporting no damage caused
It’s a limited response to Iran’s retaliation which launched drones & missiles at Israel after Israel attacked Iran’s consulate, killing 16. Israel is yet to confirm the attack but it told US last minute of the operation
The attack’s limited nature is Israel balancing US pressure to de-escalate while trying to show regional military dominance, consistent w/ reports that US & Israel agreed on a Rafah invasion in exchange for no Iran escalation. An anonymous Israeli official said it was to signal Israel’s ability to strike inside Iran
Iran is downplaying the incident, likely so they won’t have to respond. An official called it “reckless fireworks”
Unclear if Israel will attack again; Iran said they don’t plan to retaliate. Seems there’s no Iranian or Israeli desire to escalate, especially w/ mass global calls for de-escalation

I feel like Israel has managed to, in 75 years, become so successful...
Jews wanted to show the world their worth after being so badly dehumanized and oppressed, made a remarkable home for themselves:
Third leading country for startups worldwide according to statistica (right behind the USA and the UK), and the only country with a population of less than 10 million in the top 10 Countries by Total Startup Output in 2023, according to startupblink
Just... A whole powerhouse of innovation, a strong country established in less than a century.
And now, its so well established, that people can point fingers at jews fully believing they're colonialists and oppressors. They ditched the victim mentality and nobody remembers...
That my grandparents were holocaust survivors, who kept expired food in their homes and couldn't throw it away because food was precious to them and they refused.
That my parents couldn't afford a catering for their wedding in a simple synagogue, because their grandparents were murdered and their homes seized by polish families, their families didn't have a dime to their names
That my friend's grandparents from Yemen built their own tin hut to live in, in a new refugee camp with many other Yemen jews. Their home doesn't look like that anymore.
That my sister in law's parents escaped here from southern Russia, unable to find work as they couldn't speak the language, had to build their way up from the simplest jobs although they used to be a lawyer and a doctor, because they would rather scrap by here than die there.
But they also forget that Israel was a democracy from the very start.
Meanwhile, islamophobs are incapable of seeing palestinians as anything other than poor victims who can't stand on their own two feet. They can! Like in any nation, there are smart and resourcefull Palestinians, successful and kind people who would, if given a chance, thrive and build and innovate, run a democratic government and work for their own wellbeing.
The fact that Gaza is the way it is, is because of Hamas. Israel pulled out years ago, and yes, there are military clashes every few years which leave Gaza in shambles. Do you think Palestinians don't know this? Do you think they can't foresee the damage that conflict will cause? But they CAN'T speak up. Hamas is LITERALLY a terrorist organization which WILL murder its opposition, no matter their ethnicity.
Hamas is one of the claws of Iran. Its leaders all remain safely in their villas abroad, fanning themselves with their riches while Palestinians are used as human shields. Iran is fighting the west right now, not specifically Israel, but it focuses on Israel as an ally of the west. This is also why Hamas is standing with Russia now. They're all opponents of the western nations, and will join forces as they see fit.
I know that people believe Hamas speaks for and defends Palestinians, because Hamas is made of Palestinians who are exercising violent Jihad, but that is an idea promoted by those with personal interest in the bloodshed (those who fund Hamas weaponry, take your guess at who that is) and NOT a good representative of palestinian people as a whole, who don't want to keep being hindered by all the violence.
A lot of innocents are dying from the bombings, which is why the idf decided to enter by ground, meaning it will have better access to the tunnels Hamas hides in, find the hostages, and will be able to attack more precisely without causing collateral damage. This is better than what was before. Additionally, Israel is still under rocket fire consistently, which the idf needs to disable before pulling out.
If the idf did pulls out right now before upperhanding hamas, then Israel will just sit there under rocket fire. Worse still, a lot of Palestinians died for no reason, only for those remaining to still live under the reign of Hamas, waiting for the next conflict to occur and unable to regain their footing. These are talented and clever people who deserve peace. Deserve a real democracy.
And well... I know a large amount of pro-palestinians demand Israel is destroyed entirely, say that all Jews must evacuate the land, "from the river to the sea" but honestly... That IS ethnic cleansing saying "this person is the wrong ethnicity to live here", not something acceptable to say under any circumstances (would you tell an asian american to "go back to where you came from" because they're not white or indigenous? keep your head straight, don't walk so far into the left wing that you end up on the right wing, people should be able to live where they feel their home is regardless of their birth circumstances)
This said, even if Israel was wiped out, Hamas would still be an issue. Iran is still too far involved. People with money and guns stealing precious resources from the rest of the population will not stop.
The solution must be two-state, with governments who actively work to maintain peace and care for their people. Demanding less of palestinians is betraying them, don't try and paint the picture that they're unable to make a peaceful life for themselves because their grandparents were driven out of land 75 years ago, and that "all they're capable of doing is violence".
