On the fandoms hatred for Irina Denali:

So I see A lot of hate in the fandom for Irina Denali. I think this is unjustified lemme tell you why;

First; people blame her for abandoning the Cullens in Eclipse. I would like to point out that this was the entire Denali clans decision not just Irina, she couldn’t make a decision for the entire coven especially since she isn’t the leader. Let me show you how it looks from the Denali’s perspective; Laurent is a vampire, even if the Denali are vegetarians they weren’t for a long time and they probably don’t think badly on non-vegetarian vampires just like the Cullens don’t, it is natural for vampires to prey on humans. 2. The Denali respect the law. The Cullens do not, and their refusal to follow the law is ultimately what started this whole mess in the first place. 3. The Denali agree to help the Cullens if the Cullens help them get revenge. The Cullens do not agree, therefore they basically say “If you don’t help us we won’t help you”.

To summarize: Bella is a human, by the law she should be turned or killed and as long as she’s human the Cullens are breaking the law. And many of the Cullens (ex: Rosalie and Edward) plan on continuing to do this. Laurent would be following the law by killing Bella, and he would be following his natural instincts as a vampire. Laurent wouldn’t have attempted if the Cullens had turned Bella like they were supposed to. So from their perspective, Laurent was unjustifiably killed and the Cullens are to blame. They ask the Cullens to rectify this by stepping aside and allowing them to take revenge on what the Denali see as an inhuman species which hate vampires for being vampires and are therefore their natural enemies to begin with. They even throw a cherry on top and say; “Hey if you let us do this, we will turn a blind eye to your law breaking and help you keep your human alive.” The Cullens refuse and still have the audacity to ask whether they will be helped. The Denali make the decision to let the Cullens deal with their own problems. The Cullens refuse to help the Denali in what they see as justifiable revenge so why should the Denali help the Cullens.

THEN, the Cullens have a hybrid child. This is not against the law, and in fact if they had went to the Volturi with this the Volturi wouldn’t have punished them for it. The Cullens have not broken the law in this, and in fact hybrids are better at keeping the secret than regular vampires because they are closer to human. The Volturi may have wanted to observe Renesmee as they did with the immortal children before outlawing them but would have ultimately failed to claim Renesmee as an immortal child because of her incredible self control and growth rate. So far, the only real gripe the Volturi had with the Cullens is their refusal to turn Bella human which they have now done as promised.

They don’t do this. So when Irina goes to FIX things with the Cullens she see what she believes can only be an immortal child, something that is not only illegal but something she has a personal history with. This is it, to Irina the Cullens have crossed a line with or without Laurent. In this, Irina is the responsible one who goes and informs the Volturi that the law has been broken.

(also I want to reiterate that a rational person would not have gone down to “give the Cullens as chance to explain” the world doesn’t know about hybrids. From Irina’s perspective the Cullens have broken the law in the worst possible way and created an immortal child. Going down to say “Hey I know you broke the law” to group of seven vampires would be signing her death warrant. When Irina discovers the truth she apologizes for the misunderstanding and takes full responsibility for her actions.)

And what do the Cullens do when they find out the Volturi think they have an immortal child? Not smooth over the misunderstanding, they choose to amass an army. The whole reason the Volturi show up is because the Cullens have not only broken the law, but are actively challenging their rule. THIS COULD ALL HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF THE CULLENS INFORMED THE VOLTURI.

So then, Irina is executed. But only on false information that was fed to her accidentally by the Cullens. And because the Volturi needed to show that there would be repercussions for amassing an army. Irina couldn’t possibly have known the truth about Renesmee.

Everything that happens to the Denali is the Cullens fault. And if I were the Volturi, I would wipe out the Cullen clan at the first chance because they do not respect the law or understand the full scope of their actions, and in fact they’ve gotten away with a lot simply through Carlisle’s friendship with Aro.

Dating Eleazar Denali Headcanons

Paring: Cullen!Reader X Eleazar Denali

Summary: just some dating headcanons for my favorite Spanish vampire from Alaska

Warrings: there's a few NSFW headcanons in here so be aware.

Your the newest addition to the family, you joined around the 90s (in the twilight timeline). With you being the newest member you and the Denalis didn't interact as much.

After Carmen cheated on Eleazar with Demetri, he moved to Forks with Tayna, Kate, and Irina in tow.

Then he saw you again for the first time in a while. I think the two of you always knew there was a connection or mate bond but never acted upon it due to obviously reasons.

He spent his entire first week at Forks talking to you and during that time he fell harder for you.

You couldn't help but fall for his charm, he just knew how to make you blush.

When Your 'brother' carlisle found out he was pissed, the family has never seen him that angry. He's very protective of you and when he heard the Eleazar was your mate he punched him.

“stay away from her”

Esme has to pull him away and talk some since into him. “they're mates... And they're happy”

Him and Eleazar made up and Carlisle spent over two weeks apologizing for his actions. It's all water under the bridge because Eleazar understood where he was coming from and carlisle knew Eleazar would treat you like a queen.

“I love her”

“I know you do”

Your engaged by the time Bella shows up. To put it delicately she the reason your wedding kept getting put off. James, birthday gone wrong, newborn army, ya know 'normal' stuff.

You got married after the newborn army problem ended. “yeah you think we could get married now? Just a thought”

Eleazar secretly gets really tired of the Bella and Edward drama, so he made sure you got your wedding first. You guys have been waiting too long.

He loves your eyes, especially when you were human. He loves how innocent and soft they looked, they're so gentle.

I wouldn't say Eleazar is a prude but he's definitely uptight and is the serious one out of his coven, but you bring out a softer and brighter side in him. He loves how you can make him laugh and being him out of his comfort zone.

You can always make him laugh, no matter what. He's the serious one in the relationship and your the bubbly one.

Tayna calls you the golden retriever of your relationship and Eleazar is the black cat.

Your the only one who can call him Eli... Maybe Tayna but other than that your the only one who gets the pleasure to do so. “she's the only one who can call me that that”

It's the small things that matter most. He loves dancing with you to your favorite songs. It brings a softer side to your guys chaoic lives.

He never was much of a dancer before meeting you though, but you changed that. It first it was just to mess around because you were bored, but then you both found out how much you loved it.

You rolled your eyes and wrapped your arms around him. “you do know”

He leaves love notes every where for you to find, sometimes it will be on your mirror, sometimes in the book your reading at the time, no matter what your always finding his sweet messages.

'If I were to kiss you and then go to hell I would, so then I can brag with the devils I saw heaven without even entering it.'

You guys love watching old monster movies together.

You learned he paces when he's nervous or aggravated. He'll move back and forth in your room at lighting speed somethings, mumbling Spanish. If he gets real aggravated he'll rant in English and slowly bleed into Spanish.

With jobs its simple, when he moved to Forks he became the Spanish teacher at Forks High, your doctor like Carlisle.

He didn't relize how touch starved he was till he met you. At first touching and contact wasn't really on the top of his list of needs(him and Carmen didn't touch much) but when you started dating he couldn't keep his hands to himself, he always has to be holding your hand or if your sitting on the couch or something your head is on his shoulder or chest.

You guys are family people, you have this mother vibe to you(Emmett says your like the second mom to them) so when the whole new-born delema happened Eleazar convinced Felix to spare Bree Tanner. You two adopted her and became the parents she never had.

If you met and and married before your transformation you two would have twins, the birth wasn't dramatic like Bella's and you made it threw with smooth sailing after Eleazar terned you.

From the beginning Carlisle was gonna turn you. When you first joined the family you were human, but when you met Eleazar you decide it would be him that would turn you.

Anyway, your twins are a boy and a girl(hybrids of course). Your daughter is gifted, it kinda mirrors Eleazar's ability to see what gift a vampire has. Instead of reading them she copy's them. She found out one day when she was holding Kate's hand then shocked Emmett by accident.

“your daughter is a copy cat” Eleazar smiled proudly. “yeah no shit” Emmett said rubbing his arm.

Your son doesn't have any special powers expect being incredibly fast, faster than Edward even.

Your daughter is an exact copy of Eleazar and your son is a copy of you.

Your really close to Tayna and Kate. They are both like little sisters to you. You and Irina are not as close but you got each other's backs.

Of corse you'd never trust Irina again after she went to the vulturi about the Twins and Renesmee.

The girls were over the moon when Eleazar told them about you and in the beginning of your relationship he was always going to the girls for advice.

He's so afraid of losing you, your the best thing that's ever happened to him and he doesn't want to screw it up. Of course he doesn't have to worry about that.

Your always resuring him that your always gonna be by his side. With that I think he's secretary insecure, he's never really had anyone drool over him like girls do Carlisle or Garrett, so your always telling him how handsome he is.

“have I told you how handsome you are?”

He smiled softly. “Yes dear, like a million times”

He just the same, he makes sure your the only woman he sees. Your truly the most beautifulest woman he's ever layed eyes on. “your so beautiful”

He's very protective of you, he not a violent person in the slightest but if someone caused you harm he'll tear the world down.

He doesn't let anyone talk down towrds you or about you. He's the type to either put the fear of God in them or if it was a friend they won't be on speaking terms anymore.

He'd never admit it or talk about it to someone, but he's a cuddler. If your still human your curled up to his chest sleeping like a baby, he'll have his arms around you all night and intill your wake up.

If your in the living room watching a movie with the family your head is on his shoulder or in his lap.

He'll watch anything that interestes you at the time. He likes supernatural and he'll watch Greys Anatomy on an ocation, being friends with Carlisle for centuries you learn alot of medical stuff, so he knows when somethings wrong in the show.

He's definitely a 'yes dear' when it comes to things, not in a bad way or anything. It boils down to that he'll do anything for you.

He's a rough but passionate kisser. He pours all his love and emotions into it, he makes sure your the only one on this earth he wants to love.

NSFW headcanons:

Eleazar has this mischievous kind of charm to him and he uses it to his advantage when it comes to getting your attention. He knows all your ticks and can easily get your riled up.

And it's definitely not one sided. Eleazar would consider himself calm and collected... Serious even, but you know how to get him riled up as well. Like I said before he became a touch person after meeting you. Sometimes all you have to do is Trail your hand down his chest or rub the inside of his thigh. When you push the right buttons he'll pull you towrds your room and you'll be in there for hours tangled in each other.

“darling... Don't start anything you can't finish”

He tries his hardest to be romantic all the time, during sex especially. He wants you to know just how much he loves and adores you.

He's a soft Dom and he always makes sure your comfortable. He loves to take control in the bed but would never push you.

Your pace all depends on your moods honestly. Usually it's slow and loving, everything moves so quickly in his life so it's nice to just savor moments like this. But if you get him riled up or push the right buttons that switch will be flipped in seconds.

Your small compared to him so he loves to have you in his lap, holding you when you make love.

Speaking of which, he refuses to refer sex as 'fucking', he thinks is degrading towrds you so it's 'making love' in his vocabulary.

Eleazar is a god when it comes to aftercare. He'll knows exactly what you need and gets it. He'll make sure your comfortable and cleaned up then hold you in his arms.

Anyway, if request are open and your okay with writing this could you do a request on what it would be like if the Denalis(specifically Eleazar, cuz he's my fave) fell in love with a cullen!fem!reader.

Okay the setup is that you’re a more recent addition to the family, they don’t meet you until Edward and Bella’s wedding. And for Carmen and Eleazar they never dated in this scenario bc I’m not breaking up those cuties. She became like a sister to him over time but her kind nature convinced him there was more to the volturi 🤷‍♀️ listen I got change canon somewhere for these asks. Really the regular headcanons are the same so this is mostly the meeting parts

Tanya

She’s only there for the formality of it all. Vampirism made it hard to really let loose but mingling with humans was as close to human as she could get herself

Marrying a human? Weird Edward

She notices you while Esme is chattering about the decorations, both sides forced to pretend they can tolerate small talk

She could see you and Rosalie talking about how ridiculous this all was, you see her staring and wave. You’d heard about these “cousins” but were new enough you hadn’t had the chance to meet.

After the ceremony she decides to start a conversation, she meets you cautiously

And if you two proceed with falling for eachother it will be a slow process. Dating headcanon a are the same after

Kate

Straight up is going to ask you if you are doing the diet because you want to or because if your family

Your answer will determine if she wants to pursue you or not

If the answer is because you want to, it ends there

If it’s because of the Cullens she will keep the conversation and see if she feels a spark (see what I did there? Lol)

She wants to leave the veggie diet when she finds her mate but she has to be sure there’s more of a connection than she feels with her family, mainly Irina

Irina

Tried not to fall for you

After Laurent she is pretty guarded, and likely your relationship won’t last very long 🫢

But if you empathize with her or follow her after she wants to leave because of the wolves presence she will try and open up with you

Mainly because you feel safe

But I don’t think this would progress into an actual relationship

Maybe a few dates but she would be crushing hard and trying to deny it to herself

Unfortunately she tells you too late (at the confrontation)

Carmen

Immediately turns on her Spanish charm

Asks Carlisle if she can steal you away in front of you and tries to make you blush (you do)

Asks you if you are going to ask her to dance

I’d suggest you ask her

Again the dating isn’t going to be different just see my other headcanons

Eleazar

You’re going to have to approach the man

He’s going to be very respectful, especially as he is sure the Cullens are going to be very protective (they’re probably to busy with making sure Bella does t get another paper cut but sure)

He will ask you to dance eventually and whisper as low as he can into your ear to ask if you would want to go somewhere quieter to talk

He will just want to get to know you actually but homeboy has this mischievous kind of charm and he will ask to see you again soon

Regular dating and then I assume he would follow wherever you would want to live

Feral!Denalis be like-

Feral!sisters playing a game of cat(s) and mouse with you as they chase you through the woods, cackling like mad, encouraging you to "Keep going, little one~!", while simultaneously snarling and snapping their teeth at each other because "Mine!", and what makes this even worse is the fact they could probably snap your neck with their little finger at any time and they´re simply choosing not to (yet), because you look absolutely ravishing getting yourself all worked up—

"Oh my~" one of them purred at you. From where, you couldn´t locate. They seemed to be everywhere yet nowhere at once. It was terrifying.

It´s not like you´d stand the slightest of chances against a demon, let alone three. So, all that´s left to do is continue playing their game, because you dread to think about what might happen if you don´t.

As they finally got you cornered, you could only pray to god (and hope he´s willing to listen) that your end will be swift and painless—

"Aww~, you did so well, maličký!" and baring those sharp teeth at you, red eyes staring into your very soul, daring you to make another move, perhaps even hoping for it, judging by their glow. But—

...What?

Chiming laughter fills the air then, and your mind can´t quite grasp the fact that something so terrible was capable of producing something so lovely.

You also couldn´t bring yourself to feel insulted at their blatant mocking of you. You really had other things to worry about right now, eyes flitting between the three of them, wondering, dreading—

Was this yet another game?

"Katrina." the one positioned in the middle rumbled, prompting the woman in question to let out a snarl of her own, albeit more out of reflex apparently, as it seemed to just... cut off soon after it started. "Calm yourself. You more than had your fun today. Look at her, the poor thing~"

You couldn´t not notice the mocking undertone, a glint in those red eyes.

It was another game, then. Great.

Just as you were contemplating simply making a run for it, because even death seemed more appealing compared to this torture—

"Ah, ah~" you don´t make it very far though, as a rather hard body collides with yours—

Oof!

-effectively hindering you from making a grand escape. How were they so fast?

"Leaving so soon~?" the demon pouted. "Do you not wish to spend a little more time with us?" Slowly walking you backwards until your back hit the tree, keeping you hostage yet again.

There was no fighting it any longer - overcome with fear and utter exhaustion - you teared up. The woman slowly tilted her head to one side, burning eyes never leaving yours, as if waiting for it, fascinated by it, daring you to give in.

You felt exposed, overwhelmed, frustrated—

So, give in you did - hot tears were starting to run down your flushed cheeks, your face scrunched up, there was no way you could´ve contained the hiccup! that followed, even if you tried.

You must look rather pathetic, you know you do. You felt pathetic, bawling your eyes out in front of these... whatever they are, who seemed most content watching it all unfold, standing around like statues. The occasional sniffle being the only thing to break the eerie silence.

In fact, the one still trapping you against the tree seemed a bit too content, nearly leaning into you, one corner of those blood red lips just so turned up in a lopsided smile, and you swear something was vibrating.

More importantly though, those eyes. They were still boring into yours. You don´t think she´s even blinked once since this nightmare started. None of them did.

Another thing to add to the definitely-not-human pile.

It was mortifying, being put on the spot like this. By three women whose beauty seemed out of this world, at that. You never worked well under pressure, your emotions getting the better of you most times, causing you to make reckless decisions.

...Such as trying to beat the crap out of a supernatural being probably very much capable of throwing you all the way across this clearing with a flick of her wrist, all the while not giving a damn about the fact all you seem to be accomplishing is hurting yourself.

She had the decency to look mildly surprised by your outburst, at least - eyebrows shooting up, gaze falling down between your bodies to watch you hit her stomach, her sides, her hips, anywhere your hands could reach in your current predicament of being squished between two solids.

It seemed to amuse her, if that lofty snickering is anything to go by.

"Tsk tsk tsk... none of that now~" came the chiding reply, as if this She-Devil hadn´t wanted to provoke exactly that. One of your wrists was seized in a strong grip then, much stronger than considered normal for a woman of her build.

Two fingers were placed under your chin then, slowly lifting your head, demanding you look. "There you are..." the back of those same fingers slowly brushed up and down your cheek, collecting a few drops, taking a moment to inspect them - there´s that flicker of fascination yet again - before bringing them to her lips, the tip of a tongue peeking out to collect what was offered, eyes staying firmly locked on yours the whole time.

You were sweating, the heat in your cheeks increasing tenfold. The urge to avert your eyes had become almost unbearable, but you doubt she´d let you. You were crumbling and she knows it.

"Well... care to share, dear sister?" the third blonde thankfully interrupted, sounding rather exasperated over the fact things have come to a standstill ever since they´ve managed to corner you.

The sudden objection was enough to break the spell the sister had managed to put you under, your eyes naturally shifting towards its source, and you felt like you could finally breathe again.

...Only to nearly choke on that breath when you were met with a look that you could only describe as hungry.

You gulped.

The She-Devil noticed, of course she did. The warning rumble was back in full force, and you weren´t sure who it was directed at. For when your gaze returned to her, those red eyes were staring daggers at you, upper lip curled back slightly to reveal a set of pearl white teeth, seeming to elongate before your very eyes.

What in the world...?

You had your answer when, instead of tearing you limb from limb, her head whirled around to fix her sister with a look instead. You couldn´t quite see it from your position, but judging from the scoff it received in return, you reckoned it wasn´t all that pretty.

Once her head started turning your way again, you quickly shifted your gaze to meet hers, not wanting to agitate her further and actually risk getting mauled or something.

...Not quick enough to not catch the two blondes sharing a look, though. The one on the right appearing just as done as she sounded. The other, Katrina, seemed rather amused - one eyebrow lifted, an impish smile dancing on her lips.

You got the feeling this was a regular occurrence.

Those piercing eyes found yours again, and you started to wonder if that moment just now had simply been a figment of your imagination. Her face revealed nothing, except for the fact she seemed most pleased to find you already anticipating her, indeed.

...Looking a bit like a lovestruck teenager, actually.

It was unsettling.

"Hm..." she purred, hands coming up to grip your upper arms, slowly moving them up and down in an almost affectionate manner.

Her next words would seal your fate once and for all, of that you were certain.

"It seems my beloved sisters are just as unwilling to part from you just yet, little rabbit." Hand moving up to tuck a loose strand of hair behind your ear. "Well... what do you say~? Won´t you keep us company for a while longer?"

It wasn´t a question.

Your stomach dropped.

"Aww, why the long face, maličký? We don´t bite...~", Katrina mocked, making a show of looking like she actually cared.

"We´re gonna have so much fun together, you´ll see...~"

Yeah.

Fun.
