Revelation: Blazing Eyes and Brilliant Feet
Before we leave this first chapter, there are two more aspects of John's vision that deserve contemplation--Jesus's eyes and feet. #EyesasFlamingFire #FeetasBurnishedBronze #Gehenna #RifinersFire
John now had both the vision of Christ and the words of Christ to record. Here is Chapter One complete. Salutations from John and Jesus (Chapter 1)From John (1:1-10)From Jesus (1:11-20) Yet there are two aspects to this first vision which still require thought: Jesus’s eyes as flaming fire.Jesus’s feet were like brilliant bronze, as in having been fired in a furnace. His Eyes as Flaming…

Holy, loving, faithful, gracious, compassionate, merciful, longsuffering God, is righteous, just and true, and so are all His judgments, in all the earth.
Thus says the Lord God: "I will take also one of the highest branches of the high cedar and set it out. I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and will plant it on a high and prominent mountain. On the mountain height of Israel I will plant it; and it will bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a majestic cedar. Under it will dwell birds of every sort; in the shadow of its branches they will dwell."
"And all the trees of the field shall know that I, the LORD, have brought down the high tree and exalted the low tree, dried up the green tree and made the dry tree flourish; I, the LORD, have spoken and have done it." (Ezekiel 17:22-24)
"Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints! Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, for Your judgments have been manifested." (Revelation 15:3-4)

Faith
When God makes promises he will keep them you can always stand on his word
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.11:2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
1 Thessalonians 5:24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
Joshua 21:45 There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.
It is impossible for God to lie
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
Nothing is too hard for God to do
Jeremiah 32:27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
Romans 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
When you ask the Lord for something according to his will do not waver ask having faith.
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.1:7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised).
He may not give us everything we want and ask for but he will give you what's best for us.
Isaiah 48:17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

Living His Word
Tumblr media
"I am the LORD your God,    who teaches you to profit,    who leads you in the way you should go." - Isaiah 48:17
Our verse for today identifies two important things that the LORD our God does for us. If we grasp hold of them, we will learn something important about the LORD. If we grasp hold of them, our lives will go better. The LORD is the God who teaches us things that are important to know and the LORD is the God who leads us in the way that is important to follow.
First, the LORD our God teaches us things that are important to know. He teaches us to profit. The word "profit" in this context refers to that which is profitable to us; it refers to that which is a good investment for us. When we need to know what will work to our benefit and what will improve our lives for the better, it is the LORD God of heaven and earth that we should learn from.
Although it certainly includes it, that which is profitable to us is much more than mere material gain. That which is profitable to us is anything that will improve our lives for the better and lift us up from the consequences of our past failures in life. The LORD our God cares about the everyday circumstances of our lives and He teaches us how to achieve good results in these areas. He is supremely qualified to do this, of course, since He is the one who designed us in the first place and knows exactly what will benefit us.
Second, the LORD our God leads us in the way that is important to follow. He leads us in the way we should go. The "way we should go" in this context refers to the direction we should take in life; it refers to the moral standards that define how we should live our lives. When we need to find the proper pathway through life and the right thing to do, it is the LORD God of heaven and earth that we should follow.
The LORD our God knows what will be profitable for you and He knows the way you should go. If you are not too proud to listen to His teaching, and if you are not too stubborn to follow His lead, then your life will be better for it.

You are the one who has done this!
(Charles Simeon)
"I was silent; I would not open my mouth, for You are the one who has done this!" Psalm 39:9
"For You, O God, have tried us; You refined us like silver." Psalm 66:10
"Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tried you in the furnace of affliction!" Isaiah 48:10
"I will refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested." Zechariah 13:9
"Those whom I love, I rebuke and discipline." Revelation 3:19
"He knows the way that I take; when He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold!" Job 23:1
Though Job was presently in as hot a furnace as he could possibly endure--he yet believed that he was put into it by a skillful Refiner, for the purifying of his soul from dross.
Those who are truly godly, learn to view the hand of God both in their comforts and in their troubles. They know that affliction does not come by chance, but from the hand of Him who directs everything with consummate wisdom. "Affliction does not come from the dust, nor does trouble spring from the ground!" Job 5:6
The ungodly look no further than to second causes; and therefore yield to murmuring and impatience whenever they receive harm from the hand of their fellow-creatures.
But the godly are persuaded that their portion, whatever it is--is mixed for them by God Himself, and that it is intended "to purge away their iniquity," that they may be partakers of His holiness. This was evidently the view which Job had of troubles, notwithstanding they sprang from such various sources.
No one can love trouble on its own account; since it is "never joyous, but grievous." But holiness is the highest wish of the godly soul; it is regarded as a pearl that cannot be purchased at too high a price. Trials, however painful, are welcomed, if they may but be the means of promoting this blessed end.
Those who are in the furnace of affliction must ever look above all second causes, and see God appointing the nature, measure, and duration of all their trials!
"Blessed is the man whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty!" Job 5:17
"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good, to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose!" Romans 8:28
"God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in His holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it." Hebrews 12:10-11

Thus says Adonai, your Redeemer,
the Holy One of Isra’el:
“I am Adonai, your God,
who teaches you for your own good,
who guides you on the path you should take.
If only you would heed my mitzvot (commands)!

Thoughts for Today
The last day of February. Hmm….. I always contemplate what happened in a month. January was a long month. It was good in it’s own way. It brought in a new year. But February, what did it hold?
It started with my back being out and pain. I am grateful my doctor put it back in and it’s been feeling good. That is a blessing. It has been one of frustration with work. Work will always be frustrating….up’s and downs. But I look at the month of coming to terms with peace.
This morning, I replayed words spoken to me that can tick me off. I’ve heard them many times from someone. I realized that their words on a certain subject are their issue and not mine. I find peace where I’m at in my world and they must come to grip with finding peace in theirs. This is the way my life is and I live it to the best of my ability. They must find their own path and accept it.
17 This is what the Lord says—     your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God,     who teaches you what is good for you     and leads you along the paths you should follow. 18 Oh, that you had listened to my commands!     Then you would have had peace flowing like a gentle river     and righteousness rolling over you like waves in the sea. (Isaiah 48:17-18 NLT)
In the last few years, I’ve seen how many people want everyone to walk a certain path and accept what the masses tell them to do. We are not all the same. We have choices. Some of us walk by faith more than others and that is fine and well. Not all people walk the same path and we shouldn’t force anyone to do so. And at the end of the day, I want peace. I want my comfy home, my blankie, my doggos…. and a calmness and peace. After starting off the month in pain, I want the month to end in peace.
March saying in like a lion, out like a lamb…..According to the Farmers’ Almanac, the weather folklore stems from ancestral beliefs in balance, meaning if the weather at the start of March was bad (roaring, like a roaring lion), the month should end with good weather (gentle, like a lamb). I don’t put my faith in folklore. I trust God for whatever weather comes along. As we saw from the snowstorm we had last week, we as humans can’t change the weather but we must adapt. Either complain or accept it and move along.
So, I look to March with expectation of good things, of peace, and in trust.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6).
I hope your paths lead you to a great day and one of peace.
And that’s the way it is……….

ADVANCE AND ACCELERATE
Isaiah 48:6 - "....I have made you hear new things from this time. Even hidden things, and you did not know them."
The Spirit of God encourages each of us to advance -- drawing us ever closer to our Lord to move in power, and to take the Kingdom for the King! Our day is a day of swift shift; a spiritually radical revolution in our perspective is at the door. We expect God to display His mighty deeds in doing new things (Isaiah 48:6).
ADVANCE AND ACCELERATE
We are to arise, walk in dominion power, and lay a hold of the promises of God. This is not a time to be weak and waffling, but rather a time to be extremely bold and brave. We are commanded to be confident, brave, and very courageous (Joshua 1:7); the Spirit of God calls us forth to lay hold of our Christ calling and begin bearing fruit that remains for His Kingdom.
Listen, with your whole heart, the voice of the Lord is speaking; He delights to give you the Kingdom (Luke 12:32). God has promised victory! You are called to be the head and not the tail. The Holy Spirit who lives within you is greater than the spirit that is at work in the world (1 John 4:4). You are recreated and destined for victory; now is the time to shake yourself up, and declare the proclamation found in Micah 3:8, "Truly I am full of power by the Spirit of the Lord!"
We are in the harvest of the end of the ages--when the seeds of both good and evil are coming to full fruit (Matthew 13:30). The Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence and violent persons take it by force (Matthew 11:12). God is calling for us to arise and take a strong stand against the works of darkness (Jude 1-4). We are to advance in the Christ calling He has individually prepared for us.
1 Corinthians 2:4,5 - "My speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God."
DRAW EVER CLOSER TO THE LORD
Join with the plea of Psalm 90:16-17, and pray that the Lord will let His works appear. We are hungry and desperate to see the works of the Lord -- we long to see the mighty acts of God. The Spirit of Truth calls us to come into the presence of the Lord.
The way is clear, and any one of us can advance higher. The invitation is extended, "Come up here" (Revelation 4:1-3), and as we answer the call to enter the door that is standing open in Heaven, we can see more clearly and hear more distinctly. This in turn equips us to advance ever deeper in the anointing, and make the most of our divine CALLING.
TURN HIS PROMISES INTO ACTION
Paul, the apostle, instructed us to walk purposefully toward one true goal (the CHRIST CALLING) He has put in our spirit) (Philippians 3:12-16). This is not a time to wander around the mountain of defeat and unbelief; we are to lay hold of the promises of God, take Him at His word, and stand firm in faith. Rather than just being content to sit and hear, we have become activators of the Word. God has destined us to walk in victory, not defeat. We are victors, not victims. We never forget that God has promised that no weapon formed against us can prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
No matter how confused and confounded we have been in the past, this is the day we can find the exit sign and end the wilderness wanderings. We begin to walk in God's purpose for our life -- seeking first to advance the Kingdom of God in the earth. We make it our aim to change the way people think. (2 Corinthians 5:9).
OUR HIGHEST GOAL--ADVANCE THE KINGDOM
Paul prayed that we would "walk worthy of the Lord,"  yielding fruit that remains and increasing in the knowledge and wisdom of the Lord (Colossians 1:9-12). Our highest goal must be to advance the KING in His Kingdom. Our prayer each day must be "on earth as it is in Heaven."  Just as Christ could say, "I only do that which I see My Father doing," we must have clear focus too.
It is imperative that we continue to affirm and meditate on the scriptures that build us up in our Christ identity. By carrying out the great commission through our Christ calling we are changed into His likeness.
2 Corinthians 3:18 - "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."
