Iran’s inside war

Hello there, i really wish i didn’t leave the platform temporarily only to come back with a topic like THIS but yeah.

if you are not aware, my country has been going through an inside war for women's rights against mandatory hijab laws because of a 22 year old girl getting beaten to death by morality police for having improper hijab

her name is Mahsa Amini and her tag is being shared everywhere on twitter and instagram- #mahsaamini

basically the gist of the matter is that Iran has cut off internet in most of the country to silence us while they slaughter people on the inside. instagram, twitter, telegram, whatsapp and all other websites are closed off and will remain that way unless people get a bajillion vpns just to get a message across which is kinda what im doing now...

women are cutting their hair off and burning their scarves in the streets to show that they had enough all the while police attack people and teargas or shoot them.

now i am a teacher and an employee to the government, which in short terms means they have me on a leash and control my every move, otherwise ill be outed and dealt with, especially since im not a “straight woman” and for that alone i could get a death sentence let alone if they ever find what im drawing online...

therefore i may have to delete some posts or just make my accounts on different platforms private for a while until this all blows off because these fuckers DO snoop around peoples medias online. me and my dad work for the government and we have to go to the cities for work all the while there are gunshots being fired and police going around the place,

i might just be the next victim caught in the crossfire...

please search the tag #mahsaamini on other mediums and spread the word so that you could help us. we don’t have a voice anymore and we are leashed tight...

yesterday i got called by the government because some uni classmates or SPIES had said some shit about me and they made me recite a prayer for them and swear an oath of some kind to them. this scares me. i am powerless and voiceless. we need your help...

Recently, 227 out of 290 members of Iran parliament voted to execute those who were arrested in the past 8 weeks of uprising. According to Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the number of arrested protesters are more than 14,000 people. Islamic republic has a long history of mass murders. In the 1988 massacres of political prisoners, more than 30,000 people were executed. In 2019 protests, the government killed more than 1,500 protesters during the internet shutdown. They never stop their criminal ways because blood and bone is the foundation of their reign.

These people, who have the dream of freedom in mind, are going to be sentenced to death if international human rights organizations don't do something about it. We're not talking about nameless faceless people. These 14,000 lives have friends and families, pets and lovers. Let's get to know some of them:

This is Hossein Ronaghi. He is an iranian blogger and human rights activist. He's also a computer programmer and one of his activism areas is internet restrictions and how to go around them. He has a long history of political activities and since 2009 protests, he has been a political prisoner on and off. During current protests, he was called to turn himself into Evin prison or his family will be in danger, so he did that. But even though he was there voluntarily, security forces violently attacked him and beat him. Currently he's in prison with broken legs and no medical attention and a 46-day-long hunger strike. His life is in danger.

These are Elaheh Mohammadi and Niloofar Hamedi, the two journalists who covered Mahsa Amini's murder news. This is not the first time the government arrest and punish someone who spread a crime news instead of arresting those who committed said crime. Media freedom is a joke in Iran and those who speak the truth get silenced. A while ago in an interview with Shargh daily, the newspaper Niloofar works for, she addressed sexism in her field of occupation and explained: "sometimes a female journalist would think with herself maybe I should just give up this job, this job has many safety issues and the salary isn't good at all. but most of them stay. Women journalists never give up."

This is Fatemeh Sepehri, a political activist. She oppose Khamenei leadership and demands a democratic future for iran. She's a mother who lost her child custody to sexism. Her husband was a martyr of Iran-Iraq war. Her brother is also a political prisoner. She was kidnapped at the beginning of current protests and is being kept in solitary confinement.

This is Leyla Hosseinzade, former Tehran university student. She didn't believe in hijab and still doesn't. She refuse to wear hijab while in jail and that put her in a dangerous situation with security guards. She's currently on a hunger strike.

This is Faezeh Barahui, a young Baluchi girl who was arrested during protests in Zahedan, has been in prison for weeks.

This is Fetemeh Mashhadi Abbas, a professor in Shahid Beheshti university of medical sciences. She was kidnapped and is now being kept in Evin prison.

This is Toomaj Salehi, Iranian rapper who's songs are mostly protest songs aimed at the regime. He was brutally arrested and is under heavy torture at the moment.

This is Nazila Maroufian, a journalist who's in Evin prison because she interviewed with Mahsa Amini's father.

This is Marzieh Ziari, a women's rights activist in iran who was arrested and her current condition is unknown.

There are many many many more people. This is just a thin list of more known ones. According to HRANA, among all these arrested citizens, 1,941 of them have been identified and their arrests have become publicly known, 438 of them are university students. Children are among prisoners too but their number has not been reported. The wellbeing or placement of some prisoners are not known and that causes a lot of concerns.

as an Iranian, I feel like I cannot stay quiet about this issue and must speak about it, women in Iran have been abused, disrespected, and killed for many years and I hate how much fear I feel every day for my family, friends and all the women that live in this country with me. this shouldn't be the norm. we shouldn't feel fear every day of our lives, we should not be forced to wear hijab and we have the right to be treated way better than this. My heart goes out to the family of Jîna ( Mahsa) Amini, a young girl who has done nothing wrong and has been merely killed just because a goddamn scarf wasn't around her head. right now they've shut off the internet. in the city I live in the internet gets shut off every night around 7-8 pm and comes back up right around midnight or later in the day. during this time I've decided to watch the regular Iranian channels (IRIB TV) to see what they're speaking about and what they're saying is making my blood boil. they've been editing clips of protestors on the street, making it look like they've been the violent ones while when you search for the video online, the full clips shows you that they were defending themselves against the morality police that were attacking them. they're lying right in front of our faces with no shame whatsoever. it's disgusting.

if you want to help in any way, please share as much as you can about this situation and use the #mahsaamini so more attention is brought up to this issue. this isn't a one-time thing that has happened, this has been happening for more than 40 years. it has to end.

in Iran, we all feel stuck. we feel suffocated. we cannot go outside without wearing something that hides all of our body, because we will be killed. we cannot go outside and openly be a part of the LGBTQ+, because we will be killed. we cannot even protest without many deaths happening along the way.

Yes people there is still a massacre going on here. the reason you don't hear much about it is because our access to any social media is pretty much nonexistent at this point (a miracle on it's own that I finally managed to post this) and non Iranians or different platforms aren't really talking about us now so there's that🚶🏻‍♀️

Raha Ajoudani is an Iranian 17 year old trans women and activist who has been arrested by the Islamic Republic for protesting for her basic human rights. Because she's still early in her transition, she will be tried as a gay man, which is punishable with execution.

The global LGBTQ community HAS to have her back now. Say her name to save her life. Blow her up on every social media platform you can thing of, make tweets, share on ig, anything. Make her viral.

No, Israeli kids are innocent of any crimes. The same as Palestinian kids. The problem is the crazy people like you. It's funny to think that your people suffered from a Genocide once and you're now the Nazis committing Genocide. You can say to yourself whatever you want to sleep at night but the truth is what it is: it's not a war, it's not suicide (what a fucking ridiculous notion). It's genocide. Shame you're so brainwashed you can't see what's in front of you.

The only Nazis in this equation are HAMAS and their infrastructure.

Attacking a well armed state, massacring 1200+ people in one day and, what? What do you call this? What you expect to happen next?

Here is the thing. You want the big picture, I'll give you the big picture.

The Islamic Republic of Iran wants to control the Middle East. They fund proxies to ankle-bite those who threaten their supremacy in the region. Like SaudiArabia, Israel and so on by employing: HAMAS, Hezbollah, Houthies etc. They settle roots in places of discord and disarray (Lebanon, Syria...Yemen. West Bank and Gaza. Places with no functional government).

They use Israel as a scapegoat to unite under (Fascism 1.01). They call upon "The Zionist Regime" rhetoric whenever shit hits the fan and they need to blame someone with something. Oldest trick in the book.

The Abraham Accorda are designed so that USA could finally leave the Middle East. UAE and others, had already signed the accords with Isrsel to manifest a solid treaty that would hold the Jihad at bay and will eventually stabilize the region (against threats like IRI and ISIS) by means of finance, strategy and military. Two weeks or so prior to Saudi Arabia signing the accords, Iran gives a nod of approval to HAMAS. The attack on the 7th was premeditated. It was planned for years. The idea is simple: make Israel look bad so that Saudi Arabia won't be happy to sign an agreement with a "weak" country (Israel is the security part in the agreement. SA enjoyed up till recently the security US provided. With deglobalization, this deal is off), and then drag Isrsel into a bloody war in urban terrain in Gaza to make Israel look very bad so Saudi Arabia won't sign with Israel in defense of the Palestinian Cause.

Yes, it was a premeditated suicide. And all of this is a geopolitical known knowledge. Nothing in what I wrote above is new or groundbreaking.

It was never about Palestinians. Or Palestine. It was all just an excuse. All of this, we all are just pawns.

On the world scale, Gaza doesn't matter. That's the sad truth. They were used and thrown away by their leaders. Israel is holding talks with both Egypt and Saudis over how to extract the civilians from this death trap, believe it or not. Both HATE HAMAS and watch all of this unfold and waiting for Israel to declare HAMAS IS NO MORE. Egypt hates HAMAS, a tie in to the Muslim Brotherhood, that has the power to topple the Egyptian secular government (funny how the most affected by Houthies attacks are Egypt, but no one gives a crap).

Gaza is a funnel for aid money. It produces nothing, it exports nothing. They are meaningless on the world map. That's the sad truth. By making Gaza absolutely dependent on UN aid (that never actually used for aid, but to cushion up HAMAS leaders), you have a society that cannot support itself in any way. They don't even have political allies. They are pawns.

Hate HAMAS. Hate IRI.

Or you can hate Israel, the only place where Palestinians from West Bank and Gaza could actually work and get paid. Now they don't have even that.

You know what's the cruelest joke? The accords are on talks and are progressing. There is a route of merchandise that goes right through Saudi Arabia and to Israel and Egypt, by trucks.

All of this. Was for nothing.

It's called Terrorism for a reason.

So, I guess whatever makes you sleep better. Jews did not survive the Holocaust to lie down and take it when another one is knocking on the door.

After the 7th, my emphaty dulled by a huge margin. That you cannot take back. Even symphaty has an expiration date.

There is no Genocide in Gaza. There is a Suicide on a national scale, and that's the harsh truth. And it didn't even make a lick of difference.

The only hope people in Gaza have, is to wake up without HAMAS. And it WILL happen.

Whether you like it or not.

Just so you know, the revolution here has changed from civil disobedience to actual war. Our regime is using all their military power to suppress the protesters.

I've drafted a series of posts about all the beauty iranians have been making these last two months. I don't know when I'll post them but I will.

To follow the updated news on Iran revolution follow 1500tasvir or iranwire on Twitter or Instagram. I'll be busy enough to not be able to share all the news. The best I can do is to complete and post my drafts.

In case you want to help the revolution:

Ask your representatives in government to close Islamic Republic embassy in your country and fire their diplomats. This regime doesn't have legitimacy therefore they don't need ambassadors anywhere.

Email and message UNICEF and UN and demand Justice. UNICEF social media is filled with sunshine and rainbows when iranian children are being murdered by our blood thirsty regime. I know it's not something new and it's been the case with many other nations like Palestinians. Today is the day you can practice demanding justice for everyone. It doesn't need to be limited to Iranians.

Email and message Meta co. to stop deleting Iranians posts about their revolution. It's getting ridiculous. Social media is the only thing Iranians have to communicate with each other, that's why Islamic Republic wants to take that away from us so desperately. Meta is doing them favors here. The number of Instagram stories calling for protests in different cities being deleted because "it's against our community guidelines" is high. I didn't know "call for sit down strike" could be against anyone's guidelines except the islamic republic.

Come to iranian demonstrations in your country if you can. That'll be very appreciated. But it's not a necessity. Sending those emails I mentioned above is a lot more important.

Iran is mourning the death of an innocent girl, killed by the morality police, just because she wasn't wearing her hijab properly. (FYI, women are forced to wear hijab in Iran by the government. They can't freely choose what they wear.) The government is filled with oppressors and dictators who abuse Islam just for their own gain. Persians have been suffering for so long under this regime and no one is helping them, they are alone in the face of tyranny. People are fighting against the police and government forces with bare hands. Internet access has been limited and there is no coverage in the government's official media of what is actually happening in the country. The president is currently in America, lying outrageously about the situation.

There is no freedom, no choice, no say in their future. They can fight, but can they win?

Please be Mahsa Amini's voice, the girl who was killed for no reason other than the authorities' need for repressing people. Be the voice of oppressed Iranian women.
