Young Justice reading order 👀
Yeah! This one's pretty simple. If you just read straight down the bolded comics, you're good.
Optionally, you can start with the first meetings between the future members. I've only read some of these, but it's:
Robin Plus Impulse #1
WF3: World's Finest Three (Superboy/Robin) #1-2
Superboy and the Ravers #7 - Kon and Bart
Impulse #28, #41 - Bart and Cissie
And then we get into the actual Young Justice content:
Young Justice: The Secret #1 (1998)
JLA: World Without Grown-Ups #1-2 (1998)
Young Justice vol 1 (1999) #1-2
optional DC One Million tie-in: Young Justice #1,000,000
Young Justice #3-4
Secret Origins 80-Page Giant #1 (1998)
Young Justice: Secret Files and Origins #1 (1999)
Young Justice #5-7
Young Justice 80-Page Giant (1999)
Young Justice #8-10
Young Justice Special #1 - tie-in to No Man's Land
Young Justice #11
Heck's Angels crossover: Young Justice #12 / Supergirl vol 4 #36 / Young Justice #13 / Supergirl #37
Young Justice #14 - tie-in to Day of Judgement
Young Justice #15-19
Young Justice had its own event, Sins of Youth, with a bunch of oneshots for various characters. Honestly just pick the ones for characters you're invested in:
Young Justice: Sins of Youth #1
Superboy vol 4 #74
Young Justice: Sins of Youth Secret Files and Origins
Sins of Youth: JLA, Jr. #1
Sins of Youth: Aquaboy and Lagoon Man #1
Sins of Youth: Batboy and Robin #1
Sins of Youth: Kid Flash and Impulse #1
Sins of Youth: Starwoman and the JSA, Jr. #1
Sins of Youth: Superman, Jr. and Superboy, Sr. #1
Sins of Youth: Wonder Girls #1
Sins of Youth: Secret and Deadboy #1
Young Justice: Sins of Youth #2
And then we finish up the series (with a couple extra notes to keep you up to date on the solos):
Young Justice #20-34
Our Worlds at War tie-ins: Young Justice: Our Worlds at War #1 / optional Superboy #89-90 / Young Justice #35-36 / Impulse #77 / optional Superboy #91 / Young Justice #37
Young Justice #38 - tie-in to Joker: Last Laugh
Young Justice #39-44
World Without Young Justice: Impulse #85 / Robin #101 / Superboy #99 / Young Justice #45
optional Impulse #86
Young Justice #46-55
The team ended with Titans/Young Justice: Graduation Day #1-3. At that point, half the members faded into the background and the other half moves over to Teen Titans vol 3, found over in my Titans reading order.

Who is Connor Hawke? - A Reading Guide
Tumblr media
Connor Hawke is the son of Oliver Queen and Sandra "Moonday" Hawke. He is best known for his role as the Green Arrow, taking on the mantle upon his father's death and continuing as the Green Arrow after his resurrection. Connor was raised by his mother, and struggled in school due to being bullied for being mixed race (his mother is Black and Korean and his father is white). At around age thirteen Connor was able to talk his mother into letting him move to a Buddhist Ashram that his father had once stayed at, and there Connor entered the care of Master Jansen, learned martial arts and archery, and became a Buddhist monk. It was at the Ashram that Connor decided to continue the Green Arrow legacy. While serving as the Green Arrow, Connor teamed up with the Green Lantern Kyle Rayner and the Flash Wally West, Robin Tim Drake, Cassandra Cain, and the Justice League.
While Connor is most known for his connection to the Arrow family, as this was what was focused on most heavily in Green Arrow Vol. 3- it is important to remember Connor has strong connections outside of the family as highlighted in Green Arrow Vol. 2! These characters include: Sandra "Moonday" Hawke, Nathan Hawke (Connor's "Gran"), Mastern Jansen, Eddie Fyers, Kyle Rayner, Wally West (and his wife Linda), Tim Drake, and Cassandra Cain!
As of June 2022, Connor has been confirmed as asexual, which solidifies his ace coding from both Green Arrow Vol. 2 and 3!

To put into perspective just how forced the whole JohnZee pairing has been for the last few years, Zatanna met John 5 times in the pre-reboot continuity. That's 5 out of the 379 times she has appeared in comics before the Pre Nu 52 debut of Justice League Dark. Similarly John's Hellblazer lasted for 300 issues with his own supporting cast and love interests and Zatanna only appeared once in it.
(Yes, there was a divide between Vertigo and DC at the time but Zatanna was one of the few characters who famously flaunted the line)
Swamp Thing #49-50: this is where we first find out that these characters knew each other as John tries to recruit Zatara and Zatanna for the magical seance. Note that there is an element of manipulation involved in all of John's interactions with everyone in this issue. John was also a new character at the time and Zatanna was a very established character. Moore can be a perv so it's not surprising that he made their relationship sexual. He also basically ended the pairing with John Zatara's death and Zatanna blaming John for it. Although they were established as collegues, we got fans and writers today who think Zatanna should be a novice who needs John to lead her around and tell her where to aim her powers.
Books of Magic: In which we learn that John hasn't met Zatanna at all since the traumatic seance but feels he can just waltz in and ask her to babysit a kid for him. The writer likes him so of course it works and she hugs and kisses him, which felt so very jarring. Books of Magic is a book I enjoy except for the Zatanna scenes (and Spectres). Then we had Zee acting like a complete idiot who endangers Tim Hunter and needed to be saved by John Constantine. Really jarring when you see her appearances in JLA comics around the time where she was a powerful magician whose kicking ass. ( Yet, this one comic would decades later set the pace for her characterization in JLD as this novice with a lot of power except for when John needs to shine. ) We would later get a follow up to this in a dream sequence in the 1991 Zatanna mini series by Lee Mars but that too had a scene where Zatanna went 'oh no, I'm not as good John' which makes no sense since she has been involved in magic her whole life.
Hellblazer Vol 1 #63: Zatanna's only appearance in the title at John's 40th birthday party. I don't have any objections to this one. Zee getting high at a party with a floating joint is hilarious.
Totems mini series: A brief appearance where she turns down his offer for sex and even goes 'reven niaga'.
Zatanna Everyday Magic: I like this one. As it deals with things from her perspective. She is the one who saves him and very subtly we see her shed any resentment she may have for John but is not hung up on him. She has her own life and her own love interests, even has casual sex with them.
So we have a pairing that cratered and halfway buried, only for an ill thought out reboot to drag it back up and heavily retconning both character's respective histories to make it work. Like introducing Nick Necro and treating the seance like Zee's origin story instead of Zatanna's Search. Ignoring any aspect of her that's not related to John, like all her relationships with the JL members (except Batman) don't matter anymore even though they played important roles in her life as well. Yet, John gets to keep most of his history and supporting cast and even get several shots at an ongoing. Zee ends up being treated as less smart, less competent and daresay even less sexy, whenever the JohnZee pairing comes to the forefront. The seeds were there since even their second meeting.
I don't see why this pairing needs to be treated as something so sacrosanct that the characters aren't allowed to grow past it. It's definitely not an earned relationship that's up there with Clark/Lois, BatCat, WallyLinda or BarryIris. It's only post nu52 that writers can't seem to go two pages without mentioning the pairing whenever Zee shows up. And I hate the fact that it's lead to Zee developing a reputation as a woman with a bad body fetish. Yet another aspect of the character they had to twist to make the pairing work.
It's not just that Zee deserves better, it just plain doesn't make sense. Even on it's own, it's a constant merry go round 'oh John, you are lying to me, I can't trust you/John, you lied to me, I trusted you. Everyone in JLD gets this but Zatanna gets it the worst.
Also, Zatanna didn't 'choose him', they were apart then the reboot happened and DC went 'well, lets pretend these two are an angsty couple who can't quit each other, forget anything that might contradict this narrative'.
To drive the point home; compare Zee's last appearance in 2022 in JLD as team leader where she was shown to be reckless and dumb leader who endangered her team for no reason and refused to take responsibility (of course John comes out looking good). To her later appearances in Batgirl and the excellent Knight Terrors crossover team up with Robot Man.
Once she is away from John, she goes back to being her fun, competent, bad ass, sexy self.
Side note: Can we also go back to a time when Zatanna, Phantom Strnager, Spectre and Dr Fate were bad asses and not chumps so John Constantine can look cool as he pulls out a vaguely defined spelled from his ass? I saw scans from a comic recently where he got the drop on freakin' Waverider recently.

Sorry if this is a bad question or more likely just hopeless. I’ve been trying to find a good Connor Hawke comic to read (first found out about him in Damian’s Robin solo and he and Rose were the only two things I liked besides the Robin chase but I’m a bat brat) and I’ve only read the Silver Monkey story and as I’m not a fan of Oliver Green at all (my exposure to him has in no way been positive) and I HATE Dixon and I know he’s the main writer for Connor, but I had to drop the Tim solo because of his obvious, I guess bigotry would be the right word to use here, but he is one of the three writers I refuse to let myself read anymore to try and keep my blood pressure low. Are there any Connor stories or series that exist outside of those parameters to read because I’m having 0 luck. I’m also not sure if you’re a fan of Mia or Emilio or have any go-to stories for them, but I know nothing about them and I’d like to change that if at all possible.
i understand, i do i do. while i think dixon is capable of good character writing, and he did manage to do it in connor's run, i also understand his very very obvious politics shine through all the time and it gets tiresome (at one point in his ga run he manages to write OLIVER QUEEN "both sides"ing literal nazis that he and hal fought in GL/GA). here's the best i can do for recs outside of dixon (though few and far between)
Before i start, i do wanna clarify that his character in robin is. well. pretty different from his actual pre-established character. I'm not saying you won't like him, and im genuinely begging you to give him a shot, but if youre looking for the snarky brawler type, you might be a lil thrown by the polite buddhist monk you're gonna get.
you are in luck, as his first few appearances were by kelley puckett, so if you havent already read GA vol. 2 #0, do that first! #91 and #92 are also by puckett until dixon takes over for #93, so read those if you dont mind just stopping in the middle of an arc, otherwise avoid.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
now this next rec IS 1/3 written by dixon but if you can get through it, the crossover connor has with wally and kyle is enjoyable, thats Green Lantern Vol. 3 #96, GA Vol. 2 #130, and The Flash Vol. 2 #135
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Connor's JLA run! JLA Vol. 1 #8-#15, #8 and #9 are specifically about connor saving and joining the league, the rest of the issues just feature him in a team setting, as, well, its the league.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
if you want to read mia as well, read Green Arrow: Quiver (GA Vol. 3 #1-#10), Connor plays an important role but its almost entirely in the very last issue, and it's more about Ollie's role dynamic with him than anything else, so just read that if it tickles your fancy.
Tumblr media
I wish i could recommend more of GA Vol. 3 for connor, unfortunately he's pretty fucking sidelined, and for every good moment theres 2 bad ones. (immediately after quiver he is shot and put in a coma for an arc, somehow this isnt the last time this happens.) Though i do recommend #11, and i think #21 is a good issue to read for ollie and him, but it also includes a pretty huge retcon to Connor and Ollie's past
Other than those, he has One-shots in Green Arrow 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular: "One", DC Pride 2022: "Think Of Me", and DC Festival of Heroes: The Asian Superhero Celebration: "Hawke & Kong"
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
to answer your second question, my URL aint lesbianspeedy for nothin! Mia is what i breathe and bleed, my recs for her are here!
as for Emi, your best bets are Green Arrow Vol. 5 #18-#20, #22, #28-#34 for her origin (though read N52 green arrow at your own risk, even i havent properly read these), Green Arrow Vol. 6 #1-#7 (this may feel like a completely new character, i'm sorry, dc has a angsty characterisation problem, if you enjoy either of these characterisations, i'd recommend you keep reading said runs past my specific recs for more issues with her!) and Stargirl Spring Break Special + Stargirl: The Lost Children #1-#6

Random comic single issues that I decided I wanted and then found the very next day at the comic store I work at:
1. Green Lantern Vol 3 #46, the single Green Lantern issue of the Reign of Supermen event
2. Flash Vol 5 #786, the issue where Klarion is officially declared a Chaos Lord in the comics
3. The New Titans #55, the final issue in the Who Is Wonder Girl? Storyline and the issue where Nightwing finds out Jason died, + confronts Bruce about it.
4. JLA World Without Grown-Ups #1, I had gotten #2 from them earlier and realized I needed the first one and lo and behold. There it was in our back issues.
5. Seven Soldiers #1, after I had read the Seven Soldiers: Klarion series and wanted a bit more info on what was going on
6. Titans: Beast World Tour - Central City #1, very begrudingly bought bc I’m trying to collect everything Impulse has appeared in and I saw a picture on tumblr of him showing up and getting turned into a lizard. So ofc I had to find lizard-Impulse for my collection.

Hello! I was wondering if you had any recommendations for series/runs which feature Babs as Oracle. I've only been reading since rebirth and while I've read some older series, I've not read any that focus on her. I'd like to check out more of those! Love your blog, btw
I have just remembered that you have a pinned message. looks like Birds of prey 1999 is what I want to be reading! TY <3
Hi! Glad to see you found the pinned post, but I'd be happy to rec some stuff anyway! Besides Birds of Prey, which is the main title she starred in from 1999-2011, if you want stories featuring Babs as Oracle you might want to check out the following:
Suicide Squad (1987) #38, the initial reveal of Barbara as Oracle, and the Out of Control arc (#48-49), a really fascinating Babs-focused story
Oracle: Year One (Batman Chronicles #5): the story of Barbara's recovery and first days as Oracle
Nightwing: The Hunt for Oracle (Nightwing #45-46 and Birds of Prey #20-21), a fun Dick and Babs story
Batgirl Vol. 1 (2000-2006): Cassandra Cain's Batgirl run, where Babs mentors Cass and becomes a mother figure to her. While this series technically doesn't focus on her, it contains some of Barbara's most important character work outside of BOP 1999.
Batgirl Vol. 3 (2009-2011): Stephanie Brown's Batgirl run, where Babs mentors her and becomes a bit of a big sister figure; she also becomes a mentor to the newly disabled Wendy Harris during this run. Again, this doesn't technically center Babs, but she's a major character and gets a dual narration with Steph most of the time.
Batman: The Black Mirror (2011), which stars Dick as Batman and centers the Gordon family
Also fun reading: the No Man's Land saga, the Bruce Wayne: Murderer?/Fugitive event, and JLA (1997-2006), where Oracle frequently pops up to help and/or run Justice League operations
I'd also like to recommend the YA graphic novels The Oracle Code, which is focused on Babs as she recovers and goes through physical therapy, and Shadow of the Batgirl, which is focused on Cass but has Babs in a major role as an independent wheelchair user and one of Cass's mentors.
Hope you enjoy reading!

Speaking of speedster messing with multidimensional beings, don't forget about the time Wally used his ability to vibrate in order to refract energy to affect beings whose energy didn't exist within their universe.(Fig.1, Fig.2) Heck, they could tear into 5th dimensional Imps.(Fig.3)
And there was the time he was unaffected by 6th dimensional reality warping from the ID.(Fig.4) He then used their powers against them to, well, Batman said it best. "Flash realized that two sixth dimensional beings are far more unbeatable than 4 3-D ones."(Fig.5)

Batman Read Order part 1

Managed to map this out for people who wanna get into comics and read them in order, Goes from Bruce's first outing as Batman to the death of Jason Todd. I did take a lot of liberties with the comics here but it's mostly coherent.

Gotham City: Year One (Optional, if you're interested in the Wanye family Pre-Bruce)
Batman: The Knight (Bruce's training as Batman)
[Batman: Year One] Aka the solo years
Batman: Year One (Self Explanatory, adapted word for word as an animated movie)
Catwoman: Her Sister's Keeper (Happens concurrently with Batman:Year One)
Man of Steel[How Superman debuted but only read #3 if you wanna know how he met Batman]
[Shaman to Mad Monk are basically adventures he had during Year One as Batman, Optional but really good]
Batman: Shaman
Batman and the Monster Men
Batman and the Mad Monk

Who is Roy Harper? - A Reading Guide
Tumblr media
Roy Harper is a DC Comics legacy character introduced in the Golden Age as the protégé/son of Green Arrow (Oliver Queen). Roy was the original Speedy and had an extremely close relationship with his adoptive father Oliver Queen throughout the Golden and Silver Ages. In 1971, DC released the "Snowbirds Don't Fly" storyline in response to Nixon's announced War on Drugs. This storyline was a PSA designed to show what not to do when a loved one (particularly a young adult child) is struggling with addiction. This story would change the trajectory of Roy's story and cemented his role as a recovered addict, a part of his character that has unfortunately come to be his defining quality rather than being part of his larger story. Roy is a single father to Lian Harper (his daughter with the assassin Jade Nguyen/Cheshire), and has a sibling bond with family members Connor Hawke, Mia Dearden, and Emiko Queen. Roy's origins have always been connected to America's Indigenous Peoples and later comics have cemented their role in his life with his having been adopted by the Diné/Navajo as a young child before being adopted by Ollie in his teenaged years. Roy has had multiple mantles over the years, from Speedy, to Arsenal, to joining the Justice League of America as Red Arrow - but in every iteration is he the very image of a hero.
Reading list (with totally legal links) under the cut!
This reading list begins in the Golden Age and will take you through Pre-52 comics, and then end with the Green Arrow 80th Anniversary Super Spectacular! New 52 is left out because that is not Roy Harper, and Rebirth and more current comics are being left out for a lot of reasons that I won't list here.
If multiple issues are listed for one run at a time, only the first issue will be linked, the assumption is that you will be able to navigate to the following issues from there.
Golden Age:
More Fun Comics #78, 81-82, 89, 91-92
World's Finest Comics #7, 57, 70
Adventure Comics #121, 133, 137, 151, 155, 164, 166, 179, 184, 189, 196
Silver Age and Beyond:
Adventure Comics #233
World's Finest Comics #88
Adventure Comics #246, 256, 260-263
Teen Titans Vol 1 #4, 11, 19-43
The next story on this list is "Snowbirds Don't Fly" - it is HEAVILY RECOMMENDED to read the above stories BEFORE reading Snowbirds as they should be considered required context for the storyline as they are the context the story is building from. Don't be a Judd Winick- do your reading kids.
Green Lantern Vol 2 #85-86
Action Comics #436
Teen Titans Vol 1 #44-52
Green Lantern Vol 2 #100
Teen Titans Vol 1 #53
World's Finest Vol 1 #251
Best of DC #18
New Teen Titans Vol 1 #27, 29-32
Tales of the Teen Titans #50
New Teen Titans Vol 2 #19-21
Action Comics Vol 1 #613-618, 627-634, 636-640
Secret Origins Vol 2 #38
New Titans Vol 1 #60-69, 97
Green Arrow Vol 2 #75
New Titans Vol 1 #99-114
Showcase '94 #7
New Titans Vol 1 #0, 115-130, Annual #11
Green Arrow Vol 2 #97-101 * these issues should be read with the understanding that the writer, Chuck Dixon, is a vocal hater of Oliver Queen and did his best to ruin the character's image before and during the character's death as soon as he took over the run
Showcase '95 #8
Batman + Arsenal #1
JLA/Titans Vol 1 #1-3
Arsenal #1-4
The Titans Vol 1 #1-50 Annual #1
Green Arrow Vol 3 #1-15*, 16-21 - *(most Roy centered issues are 1, 5-6, and 8-9)
Titans/Young Justice: Graduation Day #1-3
Teen Titans/Outsiders Secret Files/Origins Vol 1 (2003)
Outsiders Vol 3 #1-33
Green Arrow Vol 3 #32, 44-50

Ray Terrill Reading List
I don't think one of these already exists around here, so here it is! I read/skimmed 200+ comics in which Ray appears, made note of any relevant appearances (as opposed to cameos or extremely minor roles), and compiled them into a chronological list for your reference. Issues that I would consider essential reading (your opinion may differ!) are in bold; everything else I would consider optional.
Please note: the Rebirth version of Ray is different enough to be a completely separate character in a completely separate continuity, so I am not including any of that material on this particular list.
The Ray Vol. 1 #1-6 (the miniseries that introduces the character)
Black Condor #9-10 (notable as a glimpse of Ray's life between his intro and his joining the JLA, trying to adjust to the real world)
Justice League America #71 (Ray is recruited for the JLA)
Justice League America #73, 75-77 (Ray plays a very minor role in these and other early JLA appearances, but I'm including them and the ones below in case you want a sense of how that went)
Black Canary Vol. 2 #8 (Ray meets Dinah Lance, and there will be consequences later in his second solo series)
Justice League America #78-79, Annual #7, 80-83
Guy Gardner Vol. 1 #15
Bloodbath #1
Justice League America #84
Justice League Quarterly #13
Justice League America #85-88
Guy Gardner: Warrior #20
The Ray Vol. 2 #1-2 (beginning of his second solo series)
Justice League America #89
Justice League Task Force #13
Justice League International Vol. 2 #65
Justice League Task Force #14
Justice League Task Force #15
Justice League Quarterly #15 (featured as a main character in one story)
The Ray Vol. 2 #3-5, 0
Zero Hour: Crisis in Time #5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0 [numbered backward intentionally] (Ray doesn't play a huge role, but he makes a significant contribution, and this event has lasting consequences)
Justice League Task Force #0, 17-24 (from here on, Ray is a significant supporting character in this team book, and its stories will occasionally intersect with his solo)
The Ray Vol. 2 #6-12, Annual #1, 13
Damage Vol. 1 #14 (a team-up with Grant Emerson, whom he met at Zero Hour)
Justice League Task Force #26
The Ray Vol. 2 #14
Justice League Task Force #27
The Ray Vol. 2 #15-19
Justice League Task Force #29-30
Underworld Unleashed #2-3 (adds some extra context to the arc above)
Justice League Task Force #31-37
The Ray Vol. 2 #20-28
Final Night #1-3 (crossover event involving darkness, of course Ray's involved in a supporting capacity)
Green Lantern Plus #1 (team-up with Kyle Rayner, last glimpse into Ray's personal life as established in his solo)
Action Comics #733 (after Superman undergoes a change in his powers, he turns to Ray for advice)
JLA Vol. 1 #29-31 (Ray's former Task Force teammate Triumph is back and evil and uses mind-control on Ray and others in an attempt to take over the JLA)
Guide to the DC Universe Secret Files & Origins 2000 #1 (only notable because Ray turns up in a class that is mandatory for him to take to stay in good standing with the JLA after the mind-control incident)
JSA: Our Worlds at War #1 (doing his part as a JSA reservist during the Our Worlds at War event, first time working with the Freedom Fighters)
Young Justice Vol. 1 #41, 45-55 (is invited to join Young Justice and doesn't get to do much but does get actual characterization)
Adventures of Superman #614-616 (has only a very minor role here but it's useful as an explanation for what happened to him after Young Justice ends--he contracted a weird disease)
JSA Vol. 1 #49, 73 (established as a part of the Freedom Fighters along with Grant Emerson)
Infinite Crisis #1 (the Freedom Fighters are attacked and mostly killed, Ray is taken prisoner, he's present for the rest of this series but doesn't really do anything besides be imprisoned and later rescued)
52 #1 (only notable for Ray's being welcomed back by Black Canary and Green Arrow after his imprisonment, you can skip the rest)
Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters Vol. 1 #7-8 (dramatically returns to confront someone posing as the Ray on a newly reformed version of his old team)
Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters Vol. 2 #1-2, 4-8 (none of the Freedom Fighters series are good Ray content, especially this one, which features a poorly executed attempt to reconcile him and his father)
Final Crisis #4, 6 (I have no idea what's going on this series but we get Ray interacting with speedster children and looking oddly like his father)
Weird Western Tales #71 (Ray gets attacked by a Black Lantern during the Blackest Night event)
Freedom Fighters Vol. 2 #1-9 (Ray is...present, I guess? But he gets almost no characterization and not much interesting to do.)

Zatanna and Elongated Man
Just Ralph being a mentor/friend/emergency landing pad to Zee throughout the years.
Some of these are from stories I have posted about before but as a rule, I don’t make a post unless there is something new from a story that I haven’t posted yet.
JLA  Vol 1 #162:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
JLA  Vol 1#199 where they both have time travel induced amnesia:
Tumblr media
JLA Vol 1 #206: Only time Ralph was ever flirty with her.
Tumblr media
JLA Vol 1 #217 : Elongated Man being the aforementioned emergency cushion:
Tumblr media
JLA Vol 1 #219  :  Friends who get electrocuted together, stay together:
Tumblr media
JLA Vol 1 #227: Encouraging her to get her shit together. This one of those JLA stories where Zatanna was the only one who could save the day:
Tumblr media
JLA Vol 1 #230: Whoever designed their space outfits really dropped the ball here:
Tumblr media
JLA Vol 1 #235:
Tumblr media
JLA Vol 1 # 236:  Another example of Ralph being a glorified landing pad but this time it was planned (also, a great example of Zee using her elemental powers):
Tumblr media
Ralph and Sue were also mentioned in Zatanna’s ongoing.
First in Zatanna #5:
Tumblr media
Yes, they’re referring to Identity Crisis but we don’t talk about Identity Crisis here.
Then in a dream sequence in #6:
Tumblr media
Don’t worry, it’s comics, Ralph and Sue were ghost detectives during this time.
Never confirmed if Zatanna knew about that but then the Nu52 wiped everything away, I have no idea what their status is now though:
Tumblr media
As ghost detectives they are really more in Zatanna’s world now than in the normal 4 colour superhero world of the DCU.
Hopefully, one day we get a reunion.
And if you’ve scrolled this far and keep up with my posts, sknaht rof gnidaer!

After a supposed accident gave actress Rita Farr the ability to grow, shrink, and stretch her body, she thought her life and her career were both over. Becoming a core member of the Doom Patrol gave her a new lease on life and a family she didn't know she wanted--one that stuck around even after a death and a rebirth. Want to know more about the first female member of the Doom Patrol? Here are some comics to get you started. Bolded issues are personal favorites. Feel free to reach out to me if you're looking for content warnings for any of these issues.
