So I decided to start working on some redesigns for the Legionnaires because most of them have so many different costumes and designs that I never know which one I want to go with when I draw them. Don’t know how many I’ll make but anyway, here’s Jacques and Danielle.
I went with Tron Lines for Danielle because I figured they’d fit her considering her powers. Also in the version of the Legion that exists in my head she’d be the youngest Legionnaire.
Jacques’ original costume is my favorite so I didn’t feel the need to change it too much.

LoSHweek Day 6 | Origins
I always thought Lyle’s background was pretty interesting and also really just wanted to draw Lyle and Jacques getting up to spy shenanigans.

Loshweek Day 5: Chevelure
Chevelure is a French word meaning hair, so it felt right to use the French legionnaire with his unique hair stripe

lol I love that Earthgov recruited Lyle and Jacques as spies in the first place because they just got caught sneaking around one of their buildings one too many times (and Lyle's serum helped tremendously).

ALL legion reboots miss out on how useful (and funny) it would be to have two invisible kids' on the team.
It would be hard enough to fight ONE guy while he's invisible, but having TWO of them going at you? Infinitely harder.
But also, they would be so good at pulling pranks

(Jacques anon again) The fact that Lyle distanced himself from the Foccarts after Jacques' death would make Jacques (and me tbh) really sad to think about, like he'd absolutely get it but I think he'd also still feel bad that Lyle didn't really have that familial connection anymore. And if he came back into Lyle's life I think he'd encourage him to maybe reach out after all this time
The Foccarts probably did not want to lose touch with Lyle, but they were mourning their son and they probably didn't realize Lyle was pulling away from them until he was already gone...
Work -- Black Hole, freelancing for the UP, Legionnaire responsibilities -- was an ever reliable excuse, after all.
It was, in a roundabout way, Lyle's serum that got Jacques killed so lingering around his best friend's parents, potentially getting their support during that time? That would have been unacceptable to Lyle. He probably thought he was doing the right thing by them, even if they ALL would have benefitted from leaning on one another in that heartbreaking time.
I think that Jacques would absolutely be the catalyst for that familial relationship to be mended and I'm sure it would be a very emotional reunion all around!
