“Has anyone else noticed the change in Jase?” Trent asked, making everyone glance over.

“Actually I have, I thought I was going crazy and seeing things but he seems different,” Clay nodded, “a good different though,”

“He is definitely happier,” Sonny said, lifting his cap off his face.

“I know why,” Ray smiled, “am I know who is the reason behind that smile,”

“Is it Y/N?” Clay asked as he looked over to see you and Jase laughing at something, “I have always thought something was going on between them two.”

“Yeah they are together,” Ray smiled, “it’s not a secret but they are keeping it on the down low around base.”

You smiled at Jase as the plane landed, wanting nothing more than to cuddle up to him doing nothing for the rest of the day, gone where the times where you would go straight to the Bulkhead after getting home.

“You coming trouble?” Jase whispered standing behind you.

“Yeah,” you smiled, “let’s go, a week of not having cuddles is killing me. And I’m exhausted, I don’t know how you can sleep on the plane.”

“You get used to it,” Jase laughed, with a big smile on his face. “We can get a couple of hours of nap time before everyone comes around for the BBQ tonight.”

“Has Em got everything sorted?” You asked as you both walked to his car.

“Everything is sorted, so you don’t have to worry about a thing other than falling asleep in my arms.” Jase nodded, opening the door to his truck for you. As you looked around, you saw everyone’s eyes on you making you laugh, you wondered how long it would take for them to pick up on the fact you and Jason were together. It was in that moment now you knew you didn’t have to hide it anymore, and judging by the smiles on their faces, they fully supported you.

The buzz that was in the air was one of the best feelings in the world, standing on the steps of the deck as you looked around the garden, watching everyone enjoying themselves.

Sonny and Blackburn were around the grill, as Sonny cooked, laughing about something. Clay and Brock were tossing a ball between them causing Pepper and Cerb to go crazy, running back and forth between the two of them. Metal and Trent were arguing about something stupid, Lisa, Mandy and Emma were chilling on the giant beanbags trying to annoy Jase, but nothing could wipe the smile off his face.

“You are good for him,” Ray’s voice said from behind you.

“Huh?” You asked, turning to face him.

“You and Jase,” he grinned, “I don’t know how you have managed it but he is a lot calmer now, on and off the battlefield.”

“Yeah but he will always be the chaotic Jason Hayes and nothing will change that,” you laughed, pulling your beer bottle to your lips.

“That may be true, but you make him happy. I've never seen him smile like that with anyone before.” Ray grinned, placing his hand on your shoulder. “Do you believe in soulmates?”

“Yeah I do,” you grinned.

“Well you two are definitely soulmates,” Ray said softly, as you watched Jason push himself off the beanbag, heading straight to you.

The moment you were close enough, he pulled you into his arms, kissing the top of your head.

“You okay?” You asked looking up at him.

“Yeah, I just wanted a cuddle,” he admitted, not ashamed of showing his softer side around the boys.

“Well aren’t you cute.” You giggled.

“Only for my girl.”

You know your boyfriend is getting home today, you just don’t exactly know when. 

Only thing that mattered was a Gucci deployment which meant he was safe and wouldn’t be hurt. 

The phone ringing drew you from your sleep, groaning as you answered “Hello?” you yawn, holding the phone to your ear. 

“Come get your boyfriend!” Sonny shouts annoyed, you wince at the loudness, ending the call groaning “The fuck did you do now Brock” you sighed, getting up to get ready. 

You arrive on base, you aren’t Navy so you remain in the visitors car park, climbing out the truck and leaning against the hood. Sonny and Clay come out complaining, Metal is smirking, Jason looks done, Trent looks like he’s going to murder Metal, Blackburn is making a quick escape into base, Ray looks so done. 

Where was he? 

Oh 

Cerb is whining and comes running up to you, you kneel down to pet the Malinois, and decide to go hide behind you. This only happened when one person was hyper. 

“There's my angel!” Brock exclaimed, running up to you, the sweat is soaking his shirt, he’s grinning, bouncing on the balls of his feet “Want to go for a run? Let's go for a run!” 

“He's run O course 6 times now!” Trent calls over. 

That's all you needed, you sigh watching your boyfriend doing sit ups now, it was going to be a long night. “Come on Brock” you smile, as he jumps up, towering over you as he kisses your forehead “What's the plan for this evening?” he asks excitedly. 

“Well...I wanted to go home and sleep, you can run on the treadmill or take pepper out” you suggest, wrapping your arms around his neck “or, or, or” he says “We could play some video games, go out for a run, go a hike!” he says, causing you to groan “Brock, I’m exhausted, I’ve been working back to back shifts all week and just want to sleep” you pout, as he moves out of your grip, before sprinting to one side of the parking lot and back. 

Eventually you get him home, he’s on the treadmill, you go to the couch and collapse on it, groaning, the exhaustion was gripping at you and you felt yourself being pulled into the land of sleep. 

You hear Brock walk over, leaning down and kiss your cheek before placing a blanket over you, before you fully fall asleep you hear him whisper “come on Pepper, Cerb let's go for a run!”

Secret Relationship

Requested by @rebelwrites​ - Okay so this probably doesn’t match with the timelines and whatever but this is fanfic so yeah.Can I request the reader being Jason’s daughter (maybe from a past relationships as she’s around Clay’s age) and him finding out the she has secretly been dating Clay.

A/N - we are just pretending that Jason has another daughter who is Clay’s age, alright?

Hiding your relationship from your dad was harder than you thought. Every time him and the rest of Bravo team landed back on the tarmac you struggled not to run straight to Clay first and kiss him. It wasn’t that you were scared of your dad finding out you were dating Clay, but you knew he would take a while to adjust to it, and you didn’t want him to have another distraction when he was deployed, so you and Clay decided to keep it on the down low until there was a right time to let Jason know. If there ever was one.

Your dad and the rest of the guys just got back from a 3 month deployment and frankly you had missed them so much. You barely had any video chats with them because they were so busy so you didn’t know that Clay had been hurt until you saw him walking off the plane with his arm strapped up and cuts all over his face. At that moment you forgot about the fact your dad didn’t know you and Clay were together. You ran straight past him and right over to Clay, gently taking his face in your hands.

“Fuck, what happened? Are you ok?” you asked him checking his whole body for any other signs of injury.

“I’m fine” he smiled at you “Just got into a bit of bother, but the boys had my back”

You heard a throat clearing and turned around to find your dad standing there with his arms crossed looking at you and Clay questioningly.

“Hi dad” you said sheepishly walking over to him and giving him a cuddle.

“Don’t hi dad me, what’s going on?” He was staring at Clay so hard he could probably turn him into stone.

“Blondie here is boning your kid” Sonny piped up clapping Clay on the back, causing everyone to laugh.

Jason took a step forward towards Clay until you stepped in front of him stopping him in his tracks. “Dad, you’ve got to remember I’m not a kid anymore. I can look after myself, and plus if he hurts me he will have you to answer to”

“And the rest of us” Ray butted in “how did you manage to keep it a secret for so long?”

“I have no idea” you laughed stepping away from your dad, trusting him not to continue his steps towards your boyfriend.

“We good?” you asked him

“I guess so. At least you’re with someone I know and like. And I know whenever I’m deployed he is with me, so I can keep an eye on him” Jason admitted.

“Come on then” Jason addressed Clay “Let’s go grab breakfast and you can tell your father in law all about how you managed to tie down his kid” Jason laughed.

“I’m never gonna live this down am I?” Clay asked rolling his eyes. He was glad Jason found out and was ok about it, because even if he wasn’t, that wouldn’t stop him from dating you anyway.

After Action Argument, Part One|| A Trent Sawyer and Full-Metal Oneshot

A/N: So this was formed while headcanoning about Full-Metal and Trent’s friendship and their crazy asses with @bravo-four-seal-team​ and it eventually became writing a fic on how we thought this would go. This is long, so I divided it up into 2 parts.

Summary: Missing scenes from 2x21 and 2x22 encasing Metal’s concern for his brother’s mental health and sanity. Aka Metal and Trent argue for eternity with some fluff at the end.

This is the first piece of work in a series I’m working on on AO3 called “The Medic and The Rambunctious Brothers.” There are two OC’s in this, but one is only explicitly in the story.

Of course, of all missions, this was the mission he would step on a landmine. The mission where they were busting ass to save Ray, to get the guy who was responsible for the bombings that took out Clay. 

He stood still as soon as he felt something underneath his foot. Dammit. Jason walked a couple more steps ahead of him before realizing he was frozen. “What?” he asked, staring at Trent.

“Felt something under my right foot,” Trent paused, taking a deep breath, “I’m pretty sure it’s a landmine,” he finished, looking at Jason as his eyes grew wide. He imagined that everyone else was also feeling the dread flowing freely through their veins when he said it, but Brock and Metal was behind him. 

Of course Metal was on this mission with him. Amelia was going to kill him if he killed her brother because he stepped on a landmine. Of course, Amelia might kill him for stepping on a landmine anyways if she ever hears about it. He mentally makes a note to talk to Metal about not telling this story to her later.

“That’s no bueno, boys,” Sonny said, crouching down to see the mine below him and snapping Trent back to reality, “Landmines are the sharks of the dirt.”

Full Metal has carefully made his way to stand in front of Trent, boring his eyes into Trent’s, looking for any sign of where Trent’s head is at. He didn’t like the look he saw, though, it generally means Trent’s made a decision he was going to regret.

“Don’t have time for this, I’ll figure it out.You guys keep going.” Trent said, and Metal immediately glared at him. Like hell he was leaving his brother behind. 

Luckily, Jason read his mind. “Not gonna happen Trent,” he immediately shot down Trent’s idiocy, but god his friend was stubborn.

“Go, I’ll make it safe myself.” Trent tries again, adamant that they all needed to get out of there, to go get Ray and finish the mission. He wasn’t going to leave Ray stranded because he was the idiot who’s most likely going to get blown-up in India.

“Like hell you will, Trent. I’ve seen you open a beer bottle before. Now, letting you do surgery on a bomb, probably gonna turn us into wolf food,” Sonny stated, while both him and Jason squat down to the ground to figure out a plan.

“Don’t make me laugh Sonny, I’m literally on a mine,” Trent said quickly, with an edge in his voice. Metal glared at him, still not believing his friend would be so stupid to actually think they’d leave him behind, and angry at Sonny for making jokes about it.

“T we’re not going anywhere, don’t even think about trying it again,” Metal said with the most menancing voice he could muster, but worry seeped through with every word. Jason was working with Brock to figure out a way to save Trent, so Metal focused on Trent and whatever the hell is going on in his head.

“Metal, if I die in this fiel-”

“No. we’re not doing that,” Metal interrupted him, stopping him in his tracks,”You’re going to be fine, T. We’re gonna get you off the mine safely, go get Ray, and then go home and you can tell Mellie anything you want,” 

“You all should be going and getting Ray anyways, Metal. You have time to get him and still get the HVT.” Trent insisted, not understanding why they don’t see that Ray is going to be easier to save than him at this point. He’s made his peace, though Amelia would be pissed, with dying in this field. Metal shook his head and started to speak, but was interrupted:

“Guys we got an incoming!” Sonny yelled from his spot as security. Brock and Jason continued to work on saving Trent, while Metal got down and focused on the enemy at-hand.

“Boss I’m sticking out like a hooker in Church here,” Trent quickly stated, starting to panic about being the reason they’re gonna be spotted. Jason quietly counted down, then both him and Trent laid on the ground, keeping themselves hidden and not being blown up at the same time. 

Once the enemy had driven away, They all stood up carefully, Trent nodding a thank you to Jason and Brock. They then continued their mission to get their brother and bring him home.

They eventually found Ray, and were rescued by Indian forces. Tension between Trent and Full-Metal was thick, and the guys had decided to go to a place to drink some beer and relax before going to bed. Full-Metal had pulled Trent to the side, to their barracks in the compound, a room one door over from where Bravo was.

Metal was pissed, but he was also worried for his friend. Once he got Trent alone, he began to tear into him about the decision he made out there. Trent stood across from him, with his arms wrapped across his own body.

 "What the fuck was that Trent?! Telling us to go? You'll make it safe?! Tell me exactly how the fuck you would make it safe" Metal loudly lashed out, his feelings his bottled up spilling over.

Trent sighed, “Metal will you shut up, it all worked out fine"

"Trent! It ain't fine! We coulda been burying you! I don't want to give a damn death notice to your family, to my sister! Because my death would be next!"

“You’re exaggerating."

Metal threw his hands up in the air, his volume growing increasingly louder with every reply, “Trent, take this seriously! Can you just stop for one minute to think about how your death would affect your damn team? Ray probably wouldn’t forgive himself because you were there for him, Jase would blame himself because he lead you into that minefield, and who the fuck are they gonna trust with their bullshit? The new medic?”

Trent chuckled a little bit, now sitting on his bunk and shook his head, “Metal I am alive with only scrapes, bruises and sore muscles. And so are the guys! We’re okay, Metal.” He attempted to reassure the Master Chief, but it only seemed to make him angrier.

"We are okay because of a slim chance of luck! Trent, luck runs out! It's scrapes, bruises and sore muscles now, but what about next time? I never want to hear that self sacrificing Bullshit again! Ok?" He tried, desperately to get his friend and one of the most talented medics he knew to understand where he was coming from.

"You’re taking this out of proportion, Metal.”

“I’m taking this out of proportion?!”

“Yes!”

“For the love of god Trent!”

Brock, Jason, and Sonny were sitting in the common room, listening to the argument in the next room, each of them incredibly confused as to why Full-Metal is yelling at their medic, especially given the circumstances.

“You know, I didn’t even realize just how close Full-Metal and Trent were,” Jason commented, trying to converse with their team as if they were spectators of a football game.

“Who is that yelling, and what happened to Full Metal?” Sonny jokes, and they all chuckled.

“Metal called him T at the minefield. Trent doesn’t let anyone call him by anything other than Trent,” Brock piped up, and they all looked at each other, trying to figure out what that meant.

“Well, I mean, Full-Metal did give us the keys to Trent’s house so we’re able to check in on him and go there if we needed, that should have been our first clue.” Sonny commented, trying to make what they were hearing make sense.

“But who’s Mellie, and why would Trent want to tell her anything?” Jason asked, still confused as to what the hell was going on.

“Maybe his daughter? I thought he’d tell us he had a kid before Full-Metal, though.” Brock supplied, suddenly wanting popcorn as if they were watching a soap opera unfold.

“I wish we could hear Trent’s arguments back to him, though. It’s like trying to piece a puzzle together without all the pieces,” Sonny tried to make the expression work. The two other men just laughed at him, and shook their heads.

At this rate, they’ll be surprised at just about anything they learn about Trent.

“I get this is war Trent, but there’s a difference between casualty of war and being a damn martyr. You and I have both seen it. Hell, Adam acted like a damn martyr when he tackled a guy with an S-Vest!” Metal’s pacing at this point, getting frustrated at how stubborn his best friend was.

“Adam was doing what he thought he needed to to save us, Metal. And I was doing the same, if we had all been blown up no one would have gotten to Ray.” Trent pointed out, trying to stay calm. He knows his friend is just worried about him, he’s used to his rough ways of being a good friend by now.

"Adam did the one thing he told everyone not to do! Trent, we had enough people; Jason and Sonny could have continued while Brock and I got you out that situation. That's the only other option, all stay or split off. Get it through that thick skull of yours!”

"You’re taking this too far Metal," Trent warned, getting frustrated that his friend brought up Adam.

"I have seen enough friends die, T. I don’t need to lose another.” Metal said, desperately hoping his friend understood that he was scared for him.

“Scott, you didn’t lose me! I’m fine! In that moment it was my problem to fix, the team needed to focus on Ray because he was in a lot more trouble than I was.” He felt his voice getting louder, but at this point he didn’t care that he was yelling at his friend, who just so happen to be a Master Chief, and could technically reprimand him.

“Bullshit, Trent. We go home as one or we don’t go home at all. You know that, asking any one of us to leave you behind is self-sacrificial nonsense.”

"One life is better than two, you and I both know that"

"That's bullshit! When you have the option to save someone you do that! There's no other options!" Metal was just angry now, angry at Trent for acting like this, angry at Jason for whatever he’s teaching his team, and angry at himself for not realizing Trent really thought anyone would be okay with sacrificing himself.

“Are they ever gonna be done fighting?” Jason asks, starting to get exhausted and incredibly sore from the op. He was cuddled up on the couch now, trying to drown out their teammates yelling at each other in the next room. He was interested earlier, but he didn’t know how long those two will argue.

“I’m gonna go see if they can shut up so we can get some shut-eye” Sonny announces, slowly trying to stand-up, making painful knows as his body protested.

“Good luck buddy, Metal’s scary when he’s angry,” Brock drowsily spoke, falling asleep with Cerberus on top of him.

Sonny goes into the next room and popped his head through the door opening, “You two done with this pissing contest you got goin’ on here? Some of us need our beauty sleep before Mandy inevitably finds a target package for us to go after the 24 hours before we leave the island from hell,”

Full-Metal turns to him and gives him the look that Sonny imagines is what Metal’s victims see when they have nightmares in the eighth circle of hell. Sonny quickly left, and briskly walked out of the line of fire.

“Get ready boys, we’re gonna sleep in here tonight,” he told them, and they groaned.

This is not how they imagined tonight going.

“Metal, if we had all been blown up by the mine then all 6 of Bravo, and yes I’m counting you as bravo so deal with it, would have died in that field. Sending you all away at least gave us a fighting chance. And Ray has a family back home that can’t afford to lose him.” Trent reasoned for the millionth time. Neither of them were getting anywhere, and both of them just wanted to resolve this and go to sleep. Trent was lying in his bed at this point, while Metal was still pacing.

“Newsflash, Trent, you have a family and a girlfriend who would be crushed by you dying too.”

"My family would be fine! Ray has a wife and two kids at home!"

"Trent will you listen to yourself! Go out there and ask them all if they would leave you to die! I guarantee you that they will say the same as I have. They’re your brothers, they don’t want to be here without you.”

“Metal, it was the only decision that made sense! You mean to tell me that Blackburn wouldn’t have told us to ‘work the problem’?”

“That’s a suicide mission, you idiot, not working the problem!”

Ray and Blackburn walk by the common room, hearing the arguing still occurring through the walls. He then sees three of his operators all asleep in chairs, and decide to order, Ray to wake them, while he dealt with those two idiots inside to call it quits for the night.

He entered, and made his arrival clear by a raising his voice and saying, “Hey! Both of you, quit arguing. It’s too late for this, you need sleep before Mandy finds the HVT so you’re prepared.”

They both nodded, and everyone piled in to sleep in their beds, and Cerberus in his cage.

They sleep, hoping this is all over, but oh how wrong they were.

“Bravo Seven what’s your sitrep” was the last thing you heard down the coms before the explosion went off.

Both you and Sonny dropped to the floor shielding your head from the grenade that just blew up in your face.

“Fuck” you gasped as you slowly uncovered your head. “Sunshine you okay?”

“Yeah I’m sound” he shouted from across the room “you?”

“Yeah I think” you said as you placed your hand on your thigh, before lifting it to your face seeing the red mixed with the dirt.

“What do you mean you think?” Sonny said appearing over you.

“Got hit” you winced rolling onto your back. “Don’t know how bad but I’m bleeding”

“Can you walk?” Sonny asked as he helped you to your feet.

“Nope” you winced putting all your weight on him.

“Bravo one we got a problem” Sonny said down the coms “little madam got hit by the grenade, we are gonna need medivac”

“How bad?” Jase screamed down the radio. But you shook your head at Sonny not to tell him you currently had a bit of metal jammed into your thigh. “Sonny fucking answer me”

“Jase calm the fuck down” you said down the coms “it’s bad enough I need medivac and can’t be sorted here so quit worrying and get the HVT okay! I’ve got Sonny I will be fine”

“Solid copy” Jase said with annoyance in his voice.

“The way you put him in his place amazes me” Sonny laughed as he helped you get behind some cover.

“Yeah he forgets when we are out of the field that he can’t protect me” you laughed “it’s like everything goes out of the window. Have you radioed to HAVOC yet?”

“Not yet” Sonny said “but on it”

Leaning against the wall you stared at your leg and the three inch of metal sticking out of your thigh, you didn’t need to see the wound to know that it was going to leave a nice scar.

“Medivac 10 Mikes out kiddo” Sonny said sitting beside you as he made a makeshift tourniquet around your thigh. “You good?” He asked watching your bite the cap off the needle before gritting your teeth as you injected the shot of morphine.

“Never been better sunshine” you laughed resting your head on his shoulder, with your assault rifle ready just in case.

You knew what was coming next as you heard the boys pull up. The peace and quiet was going to shattered and the game of cards you and Sonny were playing was abandoned as everyone rushed back.

“You know if we weren’t giving you enough attention you just have to say” Clay smirked kissing the top of your head “no need to get metal jammed in you leg”

“Do you want me to punch you?” You laughed raising your brow at him.

“Nah I’m good” Clay laughed fist bumping you “also Jase is fuming at you”

“When isn’t he let’s be honest” you laughed leaning back on the gurney, the metal was too embedded in your leg to risk pulling out until you were back at base.

“Just warning you” Clay laughed as he wandered off.

Taking a deep breath as Jason appeared next to you with a pissed off expression on his face.

“Seriously baby” he sighed.

“It’s just a scratch” you shrugged as his gaze fell to your thigh.

“Shit that’s more than a scratch” Jase sighed “How many times are you gonna get injured from a grenade or frag?”

“Well I’m sorry the weather forecast didn’t warn of falling grenades” you sassed with a smirk on your face.

“Okay smart arse” he said rolling his eyes before he pulled up a box to sit on, taking your hand in his. “The moment Sonny said you needed medivac I panicked especially after hearing the explosion”

“This is why I told him not to tell you what my injury was because I knew you’d come storming across” you whispered brushing your thumb over his hand. “Because you get very overprotective at times”

“I can’t help it” he laughed looking up at you. “If anything happened to you I don’t know what I would do”

“Jase baby, nothing is going to happen to me, okay” you whispered, placing your hand on his cheek. “I just got impaled with debris, we managed to avoid the blast”

“It’s just a massive fear of mine” he whispered resting his head on your lap as you ran your hands through his hair.

“Trust me, I learned from the best I’m not going anywhere” you smiled.

“I swear when we get home you are on bed rest until that heals” he whispered looking up at you. “I am not being deployed without my girl that is a fact”

“How often do you run into ghosts?” Sonny smirked, sitting across from you, he’s your best friend, even though Clay broke your heart, Sonny didn’t leave you, he stuck by you.

You giggled “Quite often seeing as I am one” your e/c eyes track Clay as he wraps his arm around Rebecca's shoulders. A sigh escapes your lips, and Sonny places a shot in front of you “Do you all get a long?” you asked him, looking at the team who seemed to be avoiding Rebecca and Clay, making excuses to avoid her and join you and Sonny.

Jason was the one to laugh “Ha, no” he smirks sitting on the stool beside you, Ray sat beside Jason, Metal and Trent stood on the opposite side of you, talking about something. Brock soon joined looking fed up.

Clay excused himself from Rebecca walking over to the team “Guys whats going-- Y/N” he said, staring at you, he can’t stop staring, taking in your appearance, how the light created a halo around you.

You were about to say something when your phone buzzed “Nice seeing you guys but gotta go” you mumbled getting up, giving each of them a hug then looked at Clay “Spenser” you state, before leaving the bulkhead.

“Clay” Rebecca said, but Clay shook his head, moving after you. He made a mistake, one he wanted to undo.

Sonny smirked “See here Miss Rebecca, Clay is going after a real woman” he states.

“Seriously though what if they don’t like me” you sighed as you checked your hair for the millionth time in the small mirror of the sun visor.

“Babe you are worrying over nothing” Jase smiled, linking his hand with yours. “They are going to love you trust me”

“But what if”

“Baby, no what ifs okay” he nodded as he pulled up at Ray’s house. “I know my brothers okay and I know they are going to love you, just like I love you”

“Okay I trust you” you said taking a deep breath, trying to calm your nerves, when in reality you were shitting this, it had only been a year since Alana passed and you didn’t want them to think you were trying to replace her.

It took Emma and Mikey months to get used to you, they still hadn’t come round to the idea of you seeing their dad but things were getting there slowly. You just hoped things went different with the boys.

You followed Jase like a lost little puppy, even though you were holding his hand as you walked, you kept a step back so you were behind him. The moment you walked through the gate, everyone’s eyes were on the two of you and you felt your stomach churn.

“Just breath” Jase whispered as he looked back at you.

“Glad you could make it” Naima grinned as she was the first to hug Jason.

“I brought someone I want everyone to meet, hope you don’t mind” Jase smiled kissing her cheek.

“You know me Jase, the more females to deal with all your alpha male asses the better” she laughed before turning to you “I’m Naima, Ray’s wife.”

“Nice to meet you” you smiled at her, at least you knew you’d get on with her.

“Guys” Jase shouted once you both had a drink in hand. “I want you all to meet Y/N, my girlfriend”

You watched all of their faces, as they took in the news of who you were and if it wasn’t for Jason having his arm around your waist you’d probably be on the floor right now.

“And if any of you have a problem with it I will beat your asses” he shouted before kissing the top of your head.

You could tell some of them wanted to say something but kept their mouths shut as Jase took you round, introducing you to everyone. You were normally good at reading people but right now you couldn’t figure out if they liked you or not. The downside to Navy Seals they never really showed their emotions.

Once you had been introduced to everyone you felt a little bit better but still felt out of place.

“I’m gonna go see if Naima needs any help” you whispered to Jason who nodded at you. He knew you needed to get away for a moment.

The moment you were out of ear shot the boys started talking.

“What do the kids think?” Ray asked as he watched you and his wife through the window.

“It’s taking them a while but they are warming up to Y/N but we knew it would take time for them to realise that she will never try to replace their mom.” Jason said, bringing the bottle of beer to his lips. “Look she’s nervous as hell meeting you lot, so just be nice”

“I mean if she managed to tame you and put you in your place then I don’t see whats not to like” Clay laughed.

“Oh she definitely puts me in my place trust me” Jase laughed “she has helped me more than she realises and she dragged me out of slump after the last deployment”

“My only question is does she know how to drink and keep up with us?” Sonny asked with a smirk on his face.

“Banter wise she will be fine, drinking wise not so sure” Jase laughed as you and Naima rejoined the group.

“Y/N catch” Sonny shouted, tossing you a bottle of beer, which you caught with ease. “My only concern is you won’t be able to keep up”

“You want me to prove to myself that I can drink like a Seal?” You asked, raising your brow at him.

“One hundred percent” he nodded.

“Well then” you smirked “you better toss me another beer”

As soon as you had two beers in hand you twisted the caps off and brought both bottles to your lips. Downing both beers simultaneously without spilling a drop.

“That's good enough for you” you smirked, tossing the bottles into the box for empties.

“Damn girl” Sonny exclaimed.

“Welcome to the family” Ray nodded, lifting his beer in the air as you sat back down next to Jason.

“Told you it would be fine and there was nothing to worry about” Jason whispered, kissing the top of your head.

“I just said fuck and ran out of the house” Jase said.

“You are a fucking idiot, do you know that?” Clay said leaning on the table “And don’t say it’s because you are scared because I know damn well Y/N is freaking out just as much and your reaction is not going to help”

“We’ve only been together a year” Jase sighed “And how the hell am I meant to do all of the things that come with babies alongside my job?”

“You just need to speak to her man” Ray said. “You say you love her and literally fight anyone that talks shit on the age difference so you need to get your ass home and sort this out, you can’t ignore and override this one”

“I know” Jase sighed finishing his beer before grabbing his keys off the table. “I will speak to her”

The soft sounds of your cries broke Jason’s heart as he walked into the house. He never meant to make you upset you. Following the sounds to the living room he crouched down in front of the sofa, running his hands through your hair.

“I’m sorry sweetheart” Jase whispered.

“I didn’t think you run” you whimpered.

“Come here” he whispered sitting on the sofa pulling you into his arms. “You should know I’m an idiot by now, I’m sorry I ran, I panicked. All these thoughts ran through my head, everything from my age to changing diapers again, how Emma and Mikey are gonna react to how we are gonna raise a kid with my job”

“You know I know nothing about raising child” you said looking up at him “I’m just as blind as you are but I understand if it’s too much and you wanna end things”

“Whoa who the fuck said anything about ending things” Jase said “I’m not going anywhere sweetheart, yes I freaked out and should have spoke to you instead of running but I’m not leaving you, if anything under the panic I’m happy, extremely happy”

“You are?” You sniffed.

“Yes baby I am” he smiled brushing his knuckles against your cheek wiping away some of the tears, placing his other hand in your stomach. “There’s going to be a mini you and me running around causing chaos, I just don’t get how this happened, like I know we fuck a lot but still”

“I don’t know why you are so surprised, like you are the one that loves to tap it before wrapping it” you laughed resting your head on his chest.

“Guilty as charged” he laughed, kissing the top of your head. “How about we go out for lunch today, just you and me and we can start getting a plan together”

This Months Writing

For the last few months you and Jason had decided you wanted a baby.

So everyday, sometimes even three times a day you were sneaking off to do the deed.

You didn’t care where you did it.

Bedroom.

Bathroom.

Living room.

Kitchen.

The back of the truck.

The bathrooms at the bulkhead.

You knew Jase had stamina but this was taking it to the next level.

You weren't going to lie, you were exhausted and needed a day or two to recover.

Everyone knew what was happening and always joked about it when you both disappeared at random times.

But tonight you had decided that you were having a rest and joined everyone at the Bulkhead.

It wasn’t long before Jase was running his hand up your thigh, breathing down your neck and placing soft kisses on your neck.

“Jase baby” You breathed trying not to give into temptation “Not tonight I’m shattered”

“We don’t have long before deployment sweetheart” he laughed “And I could get spun up any time”

“One night please” you laughed resting your head on his shoulder “We’ve been at it like rabbits, how are you still horny?!”

“Because I want the best chance of you falling pregnant” he smirked before kissing your forehead. “And because my wife is hot as hell”

“Just let me have tonight and tomorrow we go back to baby making” You giggled looking up at him.

“Deal” he nodded sipping his beer.

Little did either of you know, you had already fallen pregnant but it was still too early for any symptoms.

“In all the years I’ve known you I’ve never seen you like this man” Ray said, nudging Jason’s shoulder, following his gaze to see he was watching you laugh and joke with Sonny and Clay.

“Yeah well there’s something about her that just makes me a nervous wreck and I don’t know what it is” Jase sighed looking at Ray. “Every time I think about coming clean about the feelings that are burning inside me I freeze up, every single time. But I’m tired of running from the flames but at the same time I don’t want to put my heart in the line of fire”

“If you never take the risk man you will never know” Ray smiled. “I’ve seen the two of you together, there is chemistry there. We all see and feel it, I know you feel like you are replacing Alana but she would want you to move on.”

“I know Ray, somehow Y/N manages to steal all my breath, her laugh echoes in my head and I don’t feel as alone around her” Jase said finally admitting what he felt even if it was only to Ray, it felt good to finally say his feelings. “It’s like love is a fire I don’t want to get too close that I get burnt”

Neither of the guys saw you head over to the bar so you were behind them when Jason admitted what he felt, hearing him say how you made him feel, made your heart race, for the last year you kept your feelings at bay as you didn’t know if you were stepping over the line after Alana, but hearing him say the words gave you a sudden rush of confidence, like it was now or never.

Abandoning your drink on the bar you spun around just as Jason stood up realising you were behind him, his face dropped at the thought of you hearing what he said. He was just about to speak when you wrapped your arms around his neck, standing on your tip toes as you pressed your lips against his.

It took him a minute to allow his brain to catch up with what was happening but the moment it did, his hands snaked around your waist pulling you closer to him and he kissed you back. And the moment he did nothing else in the room mattered.

As he pulled away he smiled softly at you “I’m assuming you hear what I said to Ray then”

“Yeah I did” you smiled “And Jase if love is fire, then I’ll burn for you”
