Thaddeus Bile and Taryn Bile becomes a couple
Thaddeus Bile and Taryn Bile are a couple in Disney/Pixar's 2001 animated film, Monsters, Inc. Thaddeus is a trainee scarer and later a laugh floor Jokester for Monsters, Inc. He is voiced by Jeff Pidgeon. Taryn is voiced by Jessica Chastain. They are both friendly, easy-going, clumsy, timid, and accident-prone. They are both large, tubby monsters with blue skin and dark cyan eyes. Thaddeus has stumpy feet with black toes and four purple, spindly, tentacle arms with four fingers on each of them and suction cups underneath. Taryn has several soft spikes on her head that are capable of becoming sharp, has four purple tentacle arms with four fingers on each of them and has long dinosaur-like tail. They eventually become a couple and are seen together in the film. #MonstersInc #ThaddeusBile #TarynBile #Couple #DisneyPixar #JeffPidgeon #JessicaChastain

who do you think developed feelings first, fatin or leah?
Before s2 dropped, I would've said Fatin.
Leah spends half of season 1 getting over Jeff. So I don't think she's really in the headspace for it, especially since she's chasing down island conspiracy theories to boot.
Out of all the girls, Leah's the one who challenges her idgaf attitude she puts on to avoid being emotional vulnerable, and I really think that opened the floodgates for her in terms of falling in love with someone.
But with Field Note 134 revealed in 2x01, I have to say Leah.
You're telling me it's canon Leah thought about Fatin every single day for an entire month after a 2 minute bathroom conversation? Leah was down bad for her, there's simply no other explanation for it.
I feel like Leah had one of those intense but fleeting crushes on Fatin, it probably went away since they run in completely different circles at school, and my guess is that Leah didn't think about her again til she saw her on the plane (or Ian's conversation with Leah about Fatin, I'm still not sure where that falls on their pre island timeline).
Anyways, Leatin is a classic example of the falls first (Leah) and falls harder (Fatin) trope.
Leah develops a crush on Fatin before the island, but it fades and eventually she enters a relationship with Jeff.
Fatin develops feelings for Leah on the island. It starts off as Leah being the one she feels most comfortable with approaching/befriending (end of 1x01 convo), and then Leah being someone Fatin feels comfortable being emotionally vulnerable with (her apology tour at the end of 1x05). As Leah's paranoia increases and her mental stability takes a tailspin, Fatin grows more and more concerned for her. She tries to push Leah away (2x01), but it doesn't work because at this point, she cares too much about her to ever let her go.
I genuinely think Fatin's conversation with Shelby (1x07 or 1x08, can't remember) is the first time she acknowledges to herself just how deep she's in. I think Leah's relentless drive in how she kept looking for answers about the island, even when she was completely alone, hit Fatin hard enough to really fall for her. Realizing Leah was right all along was the final nail in the coffin.
Leah, on the other hand, starts to see Fatin differently at the end of season 2. When Fatin takes care of her in the aftermath. She gently dries her hair and affirms her as the "strongest fucking person she knows," it's exactly what she needs to hear, given she spent the last hour or so fighting her demons in the middle of the ocean, and even longer feeling weak because of she was losing her grip on reality.
At that moment, I think Leah is hit with how much Fatin has supported her through it all. Fatin has seen her at her best and worst. Even though they've fought and been at odds, at the end of the day, Fatin is the one person Leah trusts with her life (1x09, s2 Sarah Pidgeon interview). So hearing those words from Fatin of all people is beyond validating. And I think it's that realization that allows Leah to see Fatin as more than a friend. She's her person.

Jeff Buckley: SPIN’s 1994 Profile
 Archives » 1990s » Jeff Buckley: SPIN’s 1994 Profile
Tumblr media

This article originally appeared in SPIN’s February 1994 issue. In honor of Grace‘s 25th anniversary, we’ve republished it below.
Sprawled on the floor of a mid-Manhattan recording studio, Jeff Buckley is showing off the newest addition to his instrumental repertoire: an antique harmonium. An elegant contraption of hand pumps, varnished wood, and ivory keys, the instrument was purchased as a tax write-off, to offset the advance from his 1992 signing to Columbia Records. But Buckley has grown attached to his new toy: “I first saw one of these on Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood when I was a kid,” he laughs, his fingers dancing across the keys, “and I knew I had to have one someday.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Buckley usually plays the electric guitar, accompanying himself as a solo vocalist in the small, dingy lower-Manhattan clubs and coffeehouses where he’s been a mainstay since 1992. There’s something disarmingly innocent about Buckley in performance. With his cherubic face, head full of curls, and shy, apologetic manner, he’s the closet thing the East Village has to an alternative heartthrob. Buckley’s real draw, however, is his voice, a pure, multi-octaved tenor that can glide from the anguished hysteria of a scat-singing Robert Plant to the lilting, serpentine moans of qawwali sensation Nusfrat Fateh Ali Kahn—in one effortless motion.
The son of the late folk singer Tim Buckley (with whom he claims to share little more than a famous last name), Jeff was raised by his mother, a classically trained pianist and cellist, and his step-father, an auto mechanic who turned him on to Led Zeppelin. For years, he avoided singing in public, performing instead as a guitarist in a series of fusion and reggae bands. “I used to lie to people and tell them I had nodes on my throat to avoid singing,” he now confesses. In 1991, he recovered his voice and moved to New York, playing in the avant-rock band Gods and Monsters with former Captain Beefheart guitarist Gary Lucas, before setting out on his own in 1992.
Even if Buckley’s debut studio recording, due in early ’94 and featuring both a bassist and drummer, hits big, he plans to continue playing alone. He traces his passion for solo performing back to his heroes, blues singers Robert Johnson and Son House, and their rowdy “barrel house” shows during the early days of country blues. “It was just the singer, his voice, the guitar, and this tiny shack,” Buckley sighs, “and people dipping their cups in a big barrel of whiskey. If you sucked, nobody danced. So I decided to perform in very small, inescapably intimate places—to see if I could make big magic in a really small place.”

The Wilds: Season 1 Rewatch
Hey, everyone! Sorry, it’s been a hot minute. I’ve been so busy with work and I was thinking that I wouldn’t be able to get the entirety of season 1 recapped before the premiere of season 2 on Friday. So, what I’m going to do is double up the recaps and do 1x06/1x07, then 1x08/1x09 and finish it off with 1x10 by Thursday.
SPOILER WARNINGS – While it is an episode recap, there may be spoilers for the entirety of season 1 of The Wilds. Continue reading at your own risk if you haven’t seen all of it yet.

The Wilds | 1x06: Day Twelve + 1x07: Day Fifteen
Favorite Quote
"Honestly, sometimes I feel like I'm 100 years old." — Leah Rilke (1x06)
"I love a bitchy dom, but you're really not reading the room." — Fatin Jadmani (1x07)

Personal Highlights of the Episodes
(1x06)
Nora’s Santa Claus joke to Leah.
The entire sequence with the girls eating the mussels.
Tumblr media
This look. Cuffs on cuffs and converse. Leah just speaks to my inner bisexual
Tumblr media
Shelby taking the lead on giving Toni the pill + The Straddle
Tumblr media
Sarah Pidgeon plays Leah’s breakdowns so well.
(1x07)
“Okay, well blame game aside, I think it’s safe to say that we could blame the dead fire on our problematic Jesus-freeea…” Look, I don’t want to admit it, but haven’t we all been in that kind of situation? It’s just 100x more funny when it’s not you being caught talking shit.
I love the conversation between Shelby and Toni about their life struggles. I am fully on board with Shelby; it’s so easy to look at someone and judge them by what they present on a surface-level. And it’s easy to hear people’s problems and try to outmatch it with your own, but that’s not how things work. You have no idea what these problems have done to an individual’s mental, emotional, or physical health whether you deem it ‘significant’ or not.
The Kiss and immediate runaway from Shelby. You can't run away from your gay forever, sweetie.
Tumblr media
Fatin’s commentary during the fight between Nora and Rachel. You know she's probably done that during her little brothers' fights. Leah not understanding sibling dynamics, Dot fed up with everyone's shit, Fatin punching Dot over a toothbrush. All while Shelby and Toni are kissing in the woods.
Tumblr media
Things I Didn't Catch the First Time
(1x06)
Gretchen gets the agents on board during the experiment. We see that her recruitment of Agent Faber and the girls getting sick from the mussels happens simultaneously.
It’s super quick, but if you were paying attention during the shot of the doctor’s desk while Gretchen is speaking about her overnight stay, you could have maybe been prepared for Agent Faber’s reveal by the Altoid mints container, which is what he offered Leah during their meeting in her room (also minor, but the finger tapping by Faber is very distinct and prominent when he’s interviewing/assessing)
Tumblr media
(1x07)
Does the length of Shelby’s necklace change?

Observations / Theories / Questions
(1x06)
Bless Martha. All the girls are starving, and she was gonna feed the few berries she harvested to the goat.
We get two episodes devoted to Leah’s backstory, the only character on the show that does, right?
Ian and Leah were cute, but Ian, why you decide to make a move on your drunk best friend when you know that she’s still grieving over her previous relationship? That shit was bound to happen. Also, if not for Jeff, they probably would’ve turned into high school sweethearts or been the first love heartbreak that ruins you in that special way
Ian speaking the truth that all of us already been saying since episode 1.
“Shape and texture.” – The moment everyone began wondering about Leah's sexuality.
Tumblr media
The girls standing up for Toni and not doing that “let’s just ignore it” bullshit after Shelby admits she’s homophobic. Yes, girls. Yes. Everyone should take lessons and be this way when people spout their bigoted bullshit.
Leah admitting to some of her thoughts about the island but not admitting to seeing a camera. She’s playing these guys, I know she is. She’s way too smart to not have pieced things together by now.
“Blame me, for fuck’s sake. I’m the reason we’re here.” Literally. Another clue towards Nora being the confederate, while they point to more obvious and ‘in-your-face’ things like Shelby finding the bags and Dot being the wilderness survivalist to distract us.
Leah’s dancing in the middle of the night on the street. I didn’t see the car crash coming, but I’m not surprised in the least. Don’t walk in the streets, kids.
“If you hadn’t let your obsessive paranoia about Shelby get the better of you, then you wouldn’t be carrying around the guilt you are not.” Why would Leah still be feeling guilty over something that happened on day twelve? I wonder if this is a clue about Martha’s state post-island.
They present Faber as someone who can really read people. It must be important how quickly he breaks down Gretchen’s deception and why he’s the one running point on the girls’ interviews. It’ll be nice to see who wins this battle. Will Faber realize they’re not being 100% truthful or will Leah and co. pull one over on the ‘experts?’
(1x07)
Rachel straight up abandoning Nora in the water to get the black box. She really gives no fucks about family or friendships when she’s on a mission. Nothing is more important to her than completing the goal(s) she set her mind to. But on the other hand, Rachel was doing so good with repairing her relationship with Nora and that progress just vanished during the tidal wave storm. She reverted back into that bossy, resentful person the second she was given a leadership role and claims it’s just her way of showing tough love. Is it or is it just behavior she’s associated with that time in her life (diving + setting/accomplishing goals)? Habits are hard to break after all.
The fact that Gretchen knew of Linh’s backstory with being sedated unwillingly and didn’t think to have a conversation with her about what would be happening with the girls is insane to me. Her self-absorbed behavior led to the death of someone who looked up to and admired her immensely.
You can’t tell me that Toni didn’t disappear with the sole purpose of finding Shelby. The wood you’re carrying, Toni? It’s a horrible cover story. She would have told the others if that was the real reason.
I’m interested in Thom’s background. Why is he so hell-bent and loyal to Gretchen?
Siblings fighting is no joke. My brother and I fought over a trash bag once and he elbowed me so hard in the jaw it swelled like I just got my wisdom teeth removed. We grew out of that quick though when he turned into a 6’3 behemoth and I stayed my little 5’4 female self.
Gretchen says the experiment last 12 weeks and season 1 only covers 3 weeks of it. Lots of content to still see folks. I do wonder if the bunker interviews are a “part” of the experiment or post-experiment.
Field Notes
(1x06)
Field Note #065 – Leah’s more of a crossword puzzle person. She judges people who do Sudoku.
Field Note #069 – According to the chore board, Rachel’s supposed to be gathering wood. She’s freediving for seafood instead because it’s more fun. The girls haven’t really talked about consequences for straying from your designated chore… but this can’t be good for Rachel’s karma.
Field Note #071 – Leah’s pre-Jeff GPA: 3.7889. Leah’s post-Jeff GPA: 2.967 and sinking. Hearts and grades suffer together.
Field Note #073 – Fatin has been to Barcelona three times: twice with her family, and once on tour with her youth orchestra. She faked jetlag to break away from the group and went out all night with a Spanish cyclist she met on the flight.
(1x07)
Field Note #080 – Martha’s mother got her that suitcase as part of a 5-piece luggage set at a Memorial Day sale in Bemidji, MN.
Field Note #081 – In research, the term “confederate” refers to someone who appears to be one of the subjects of the experiment but who is actually on the research team.
Field Note #083 – Shelby did indeed rap on the morning closed-circuit announcements. She rapped with her fellow student council members to promote the annual school-wide raffle. They rhymed “tickets” with “rickets,” an extremely rare bone disease. It was… not great.
Field Note #084 – The key Linh wears around her neck is from the diary she kept in middle school. She wears it to remind herself to always fight for her younger, more impressionable self.
Field Note #087 – Gretchen adopted her pugs on the day her divorce was finalized.
Field Note #090 – Shelby is hardly alone in terms of her missing teeth. Roughly two percent of the population are born without lateral incisors. Like Shelby said, it’s in the genes.
~~~
Shelby Curse Count: 5 + 2 (11 total)
Shelby curses more in 1x06 (5 total) than she does in the first five episodes combined (4 total).
Toy Story 5 Release Date: When Will Be Released?
Tumblr media
Elemental, Turning Red, and Soul are just a few of Pixar's recent original features, but the studio isn't reluctant to revisit its established brands. Toy Story, the first Pixar picture featuring Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, was released in 1995, and its spin-off starring Chris Evans, Lightyear, is expected to do well in 2022. It's been four years since the last Toy Story film, but does it mean the franchise is done for good? https://twitter.com/Kapan/status/1623481128689491970
Will There Be A Toy Story 5?
You bet! Toy Story 5 is officially in the works, along with sequels to two of Disney's other iconic brands, CEO Bob Iger announced in February 2023, over four years after the release of the fourth film in the series. You might find this article to be interesting as well Drew Carey Net Worth. With great excitement, Iger declared, "Today I'm very thrilled to reveal that we have sequels to some of our most popular brands, Toy Story, Frozen, and Zootopia, in the works from our animation studios."
Tumblr media
Toy Story 5 Release Date
When Will Toy Story 5 Be Released?
Toy Story 5 has not yet been given a release date, but based on the pattern of past installments, we can estimate when it might hit theatres. Toy Story 4 was, for example, first announced in 2014, with a release date set for 2019. If work on the fifth picture is as lengthy as the previous four, we can anticipate its debut in theatres around the year 2028. That being the case, you may be waiting a while. Must read this article Ashton Kutcher Age. It's possible that the film's production schedule could be accelerated, and we'll update this page when new details emerge.
Toy Story 5 Cast
Despite Chris Evans' portrayal of a different version of Buzz Lightyear in the spin-off film, Toy Story Lightyear, we can almost guarantee that Tom Hanks will return to his role as Woody in Toy Story 5. You might also be interested to read this article Billy Beane Net Worth. As mentioned above, Tim Allen appears to have already confirmed on Twitter that he will be back as Buzz. Many of the characters from Toy Story 4 could make a comeback as well, including Andy's original toys, Bonnie's toys (including Forky), and the lost toys Woody met with Bo Peep. Don Rickles and Estelle Harris, who played Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, respectively, are two actors who regretfully cannot return to their roles. We hope you like this article Zip String Net Worth. The former passed away in 2017 but made a cameo in the film's fourth installment through the use of recorded interviews with him. The latter passed away in 2022. https://youtu.be/AQkcgqiO-EE Whether the parts will be recast, the characters will be cut from the movie, or the performers will make a cameo through archive recordings is presently unknown. Must read this article Randall Emmett Net Worth. For now, here's a list of the actors we'd imagine could return for Toy Story 5: - Tom Hanks as Woody - Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear - Joan Cusack as Jessie - Annie Potts as Bo Peep - Wallace Shawn as Rex - John Ratzenberger as Hamm - Blake Clark as Slinky Dog - Jeff Pidgeon as Aliens - Tony Hale as Forky - Keegan-Michael Key as Ducky - Jordan Peele as Bunny - Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom - Ally Maki as Giggle McDimples - Bonnie Hunt as Dolly - Kristen Schaal as Trixie - Timothy Dalton as Mr. Pricklepants - Jeff Garlin as Buttercup - Emily Davis as Billy, Goat, and Gruff - Madeleine McGraw as Bonnie - Jay Hernandez as Bonnie's dad - Lori Alan as Bonnie's mom End If you are a fan of the series “Toy Story 5 Release Date Read the full article
I see that you've provided detailed descriptions of two characters: Thaddeus "Phlegm" Bile and his alter ego, Thabbeus Bile. Thaddeus Bile is a friendly and clumsy character from the movie "Monsters, Inc.," while Thabbeus Bile is a violent and villainous version of Thaddeus.
Thaddeus "Phlegm" Bile:
Voiced by Jeff Pidgeon.
Trainee scarer and later a laugh floor Jokester at Monsters, Inc.
Friendly, easy-going, clumsy, timid, and accident-prone.
Large, tubby, and blue monster with stumpy feet, four purple, spindly tentacle arms, and blue eyes.
Has a tail with a mace-like ball at the end and soft spikes on his head.
His phlegm is highly corrosive when he sneezes.
In his scare pose, his skin turns black, and his eyes glow pink.
Age is 45.
Thabbeus Bile (Evil Thaddeus Bile):
Thaddeus Bile's violent alter ego.
Large, tubby, and blue monster with stumpy feet, four purple, spindly tentacle arms, and yellowish-green eyes when he flips out.
Has a tail with a mace-like ball at the end and soft spikes on his head.
Murderous, maniacal, mean, vicious, violent, evil, sociopathic, psychopathic, homicidal, genocidal, bloodthirsty, sadistic, fiendish, diabolical, malevolent, villainous, nefarious, wicked, horrible, terrible, atrocious, fiendish, devilish, killer monster.
Thabbeus Bile is the split personality of Thaddeus Bile triggered by loud noises.
No memory of his actions during flip-outs.
Thabbeus Bile's voice is the same as Thaddeus Bile but lower and more demonic sounding.
Uses weapons such as a knife, a butcher knife, and a chainsaw.
Reverts back to Thaddeus Bile when he snaps out of his PTSD.
Catchphrase: "Time to die!" when Thabbeus Bile kills someone.
Please note that the description of Thabbeus Bile as a violent and murderous character is not part of the original movie "Monsters, Inc." It seems to be an interpretation or creation of an alternate version of the character.
Hey, in one of your recent reblogs... The Alone gifset... you wrote a line about Toni and Leah being polar opposites in many ways.
This actually makes sense, to be honest.
However, if you have the time or interest, I'd really love to read more of your thoughts in this regard.
I really love how you analyze and interpret the characters and their dynamics.
Oh my God, this ask got lost in my drafts, I’m so sorry! Thanks <3 I’m glad you enjoy my many rants.
Okay, onto my favorite difficult children, Toni and Leah. Obviously, they lead very different lives before the island, they have very different interests and personalities. Leah comes from a regular middle class family, she’s bookish, calls herself bland compared to her classmates, and she seems shy, although she’s actually quite bold when it comes to what she wants. Toni is a foster kid whose mom suffers from addiction, a basketball player, popular and cocky, though she’s actually kind of reserved and has never made the first move on a girl she likes, ever.
They’re on opposite ends of the internal/external spectrum. Toni is very aware and focused on exterior threats, on people who might hurt her or her loved ones, so she gets into fights - with her foster brother, the awful guys, Shelby. Leah’s struggles are internal: they’re about her feelings, her desires, her obsessive tendencies and paranoia, and whether it’s justified. And yet, Toni’s biggest threat is internal (her inability to control her anger and fear), while Leah gets hurt/manipulated by other people (mainly Jeff, but Faber and Nora too). When we meet them on the island, they have both become more aware of these threats: Toni isolates herself more, Leah is suspicious of her surroundings.
But. It’s interesting, to me, that their arcs start in the same way: with a romantic relationship, and a break-up for which they are made to feel responsible. It’s interesting that they both start with so much anger. They share a common core: the desperate need to be loved (romantic love, platonic love, familial love) and immense self-loathing. They both lash out, hurt people, regret it - the details are different, but the self-destructive, cyclical pattern is the same. So yeah, they are polar opposite: in the way the poles are The Same, but set on opposite sides of the globe. Which is why I want them to interact more in season 2 so damn much! They’re going to clash so hard, but in the end, I have a feeling they’ll Get each other.
All that being said, they are literally polar opposites in terms of height. Tallest girl and smallest girl on the island... Honestly, they deserve to have more scenes together simply for the hilarity of putting Sarah Pidgeon and Erana James next to each other and trying to make both of them fit in the frame.
