Wok of Love. 9
Story: 9
Acting: 10
Chemistry: 10 🔥
Nearly perfect drama where it’s quite underrated and will have you binging through the night. For one thing my heart went out to Jang Hyuk who was phenomenal in this while making the love triangle easier to watch, especially his excellent bromance with Lee Junho (so happy he’s back now from the military 🎉) The storyline is 👌 while admitting not to liking the glossy-ness of the suicidal situations scenes and the handful of episodes at the end with the whole mother situation. Everything else is 😘 especially the chemistry between Junho and Reyo Won cause oof 🔥🥵. Is basically a lovely romcom/melodrama about three jaded people, a heiress, a gangster, and a chef.

“Mouse”
Abortion is not an easy subject to talk about. I used to say, my thought on abortion is the same as the law. But I realize, that laws can be changed, that law is not made by god, but by us, who have either agendas or are influenced.
So, I think I will be depending on my codes of morals and ethics from now on when I am considering a decision on such a complicated subject.
“Mouse” the new drama with Lee Seung-gi talks about the rights to have abortion if the fetus carries the genes of psychopathic genes (I think some called it “warrior genes”, but I can be mistaken). Because the children who were born with these genes will become psychopathic murderers, or people with anti-social personality disorder.
If your child carries 99% of these genes, will you do it? Will you abort your pregnancy?
In the early episodes of this drama, the question was also raised. Since the doctor found out the similarity between genius and psychopathic genes, how can we so sure that we killed Hitlers of this world, and not Mozarts of this world? That it was Einstein that we killed, and not Ted Bundy?
I always think, such reason for abortion is the lowest of the low for any reasoning. If there is something I am willing to fight against, is the idea of creating eugenic society.
We shall never ever accept the idea of having designer babies.
The series starts with a serial murder case. The Headhunter case, the media named it, because the victims were all headless. When the headhunter was caught, his wife was pregnant. The witness of this crime was a child, who in the later years, became a police officer.
While the wife was considering to abort her pregnancy, she met a woman, whose husband was the co-researcher of this psychopathic genes. She was also pregnant, and her baby also carried the genes.
Now the babies were all adult. One is played by Lee Seung-gi, and the other one, I am not sure, Kwon Hwa-woon, perhaps?
But which one of them is the son of the headhunter? Obviously the headhunter was sure it was Kwon Hwa-woon.
Me? Oh, I hope it was Lee Seung-gi.
Because let me quote one of my favourite characters in Kdrama-land, Sung Bo-ra, when she asked Sung Sun-woo to come back to her (”Reply 1988″), - not verbatim - : If there is a 1% chance that it would be you, I will take that chance.
So, if there is a 1% chance that my baby will become a normal decent human being, I will take that chance.
That hope goes to Lee Seung-gi’s character as well. Because nothing I hate more than the idea of paying the sins of our fathers/mothers. We were born free, and we should live accordingly.

So I finally watched Sky Castle...
Yes I know I'm over a year and a half late. I'm sorry. I originally thought the show would be your typical glorification of rich people.
Holy shit was I wrong!
This show is officially my no. 1 favourite tv show of all time.
The characters, set design, storyline, camera work, editing, sound, lighting, literally EVERYTHING is perfect in this show.
The storyline is so compelling and the chemistry between all of the actors is just beautiful!
The show is a perfect blend of dark, humour, drama, shock, joy and tragedy.
If you have not seen this show, I am begging you to watch it. The end of each episode leaves you at the edge of your seat. I wish there was more for me to watch.
The cast, whether they were a child artist or a known veteran star, were all absolutely incredible and so convincing in their roles.
Also every time the title track played in the background, I got goosebumps. One of my favorite songs after the Goblin/Guardian soundtrack.

Hot Stove League is such an amazing show.
It has no chance of romance, and still I'm hooked. Its not melodrama or action or EVEN psychological thriller. And still I'm effing hooked. I'm not interested in sports drama. I don't even know a single thing about baseball and still I'm hooked.
Hot Stove League is so underrated. It has a solid plot and a great cast. If this isn't what you call a masterpiece, then I don't know what is.
