#Jorge R. Gutierrez
And even when an original IP is green lit, it’ll only last for one or two seasons before getting shit canned.
Hollywood does not value creativity, they just want a bunch of recognizable IP’s that they can keep milking for the next couple of years.

I really like to think that Vivzie was inspired by La Muerte's design to make Moxxie's mother.
Even Moxxie's mother is Latina!
I'm sure if the Book of Life universe was connected to the Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel universe. La Muerte's imp form would be very similar to Moxxie's mother!

[C] 'EL TIGRE' Style: Tigre x Maya and the Three! by Mast3r-Rainb0w
It's two of Jorge R. Gutierrez's works mashed into ONE PIC! How cool is that? Both El Tigre/Manny and Maya are depicted in "El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera" art style!
Believe it or not, I was commissioned to draw this, so it’s 100% fan-made artwork by yours truly! Enjoy!

Jorge R. Gutierrez style (to the best of my ability) Gallopin Gaucho!
You realize Steamboat Willie wasn't the only short from that year to become public domain, ye?

Striker and Django of the Dead have a lot in common!
If I had a nickel for every time a cowboy meets the protagonist...
Befriends and competes with him...
Betrays him...
Tries to convince the protagonist to join him...
And in the end, fights the protagonist and swears revenge.
I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but, it's weird that it happend twice, right?

So this is me in the style of El Tigre! You could tell I had to redesign it as soon as I finished the first cuz I thought it would look better and I was right! Would watch the show CONSTANTLY growing up and it has always inspired me when drawing and writing. Loved the funky shapes and references to my culture! Anyways the drawing on the right is special though because it is a character credit for an El Tigre Reanimated project! So be on the look out for that and I’ll definitely share my part when I’m done animating it! ❤️❤️❤️

I dunno if this has been noticed. In Book of Life, while the Sanchez family are on their way to see La Muerte in her castle, "Bolom Chon" plays.
The same song plays after Maya loses her brothers to Lord Mictlan. I just think it's just another cool detail Jorge Gutierrez included in the El Tigre/Book of Life/Maya and the Three universe.
