I don't understand the Voltron fandom 🤷🏿‍♀️

Honestly the majority of the fandom either ignore the fact that Shiro's gay, or get pissy about the fact that Keith and Lance aren't. Like first off, gay erasure is immature by itself, but shipping Shallura is like shipping Sheith - although Keith is actually of age, it is still pretty fucking weird lbh - or Shlance, because Allura's the same age as Lance (the fact that she was Captain America iced doesn't matter in all honestly).

ALSO. There's so much more to Keith and Lance than Klance! Yeah, it was the best built relationship in the entire show, and definitely should've been canon, but all these Klance shippers demean their individual storylines. Personally, I DON'T think Klance would've been good during s1-4, because of the fact that Keith had other priorities and Lance still had that undeniable jealousy/bias against him. And do you know WHY they had these problems in the first place? BECAUSE THEY'RE DIFFERENT PEOPLE. For once, I wanna read a story about Keith growing up an orphan w/ the mental issues he definitely has without Lance becoming the fucking hero. Or maybe a story about Lance missing his family or enduring racism without Keith trauma dumping on him! Like goddamn, these writers are either too sheltered or too young to be writing decent stories anymore.

Summary: Stop romanticizing personal/mental/systematic issues and write better fan fictions! Idc how mean I sound 🤷🏿‍♀️
