I know for so many KBL’s, viewers (me too!) always complain that the show would do so well as a full length, hour long 12ish episode run. But I think Happy Ending Romance is for real the first one where I wish it so DEEPLY. Like I understand ALL. THE. CHARACTERS. All their actions make sense. And all of them are SO LAYERED it’s crazy. It would have been so easy making Jung Hyun this horrible boyfriend who is using Jung Woo for clout because his writing is so good, but they DIDNT. I GENUINELY BELIEVE that it was difficult for Jung Hyun too (to a degree), and that he was doing what HE thought was best for Jung Woo. Jung Woo came to him AT ROCK BOTTOM, saying pretty dark stuff, OBVIOUSLY he would cling to whatever saves him! Also Jung Hyun, MID essentially being broken up with, is STILL kind of running around trying to protect Jung Woo!! Am I saying I’m team Jung Hyun? No, this love has ran its course. But I AM saying these characters are so good and my GOSH what a way to end the year.
