THE CHROMATICA BALL TOUR FASHION CREDITS
It feels like forever since she announced it, but Lady Gaga finally launched her highly anticipated “The Chromatica Ball” stadium summer world tour! The setlist was divided into five acts, opening with a trio of fan favorites.
Fashion director Nicola Formichetti made sure that fans got a visual treat, not only musically. Styling by power-duo Sandra Amador and Tom Eerebout with assistance by Hunter Clem. Hair by Frederic Aspiras and glam by Sarah Tanno-Stewart using Haus Laboratories.
Gaga opened the tour singing her biggest hits inside of a transformer meets sarcophagus creation custom designed by Gareth Pugh, who also made her grey structured sculpturesque cocoon armor with tonal "stitching", leather puff-sleeve top and belted leather paper-bag trousers, based on his Fall/Winter 2018 collection.
Underneath, she wore a custom Atsuko Kudo Joy matte silver sleeveless latex bodysuit with mock neck. You’ll see another one later in this post!
Her dancers all wear bespoke HUGO BOSS grey tailored looks.
A bunch of new names worked on the fashion of this tour. Boyd Baten’s Barcelona-based “futuristic style brand” Divamp Couture being one of them! They created these polished and embossed brutalism-inspired Monoblocks.
Mother Monster sang "Alice" while sporting this otherworldly custom Topo Studio NY Muscle Detail sequined red sheer organza and liquid silk lamé ripped and ruched trapunto gown with dramatic shoulders.
Underneath, she revealed this sickening custom Vex Clothing x Yummy Gummy Latex blood-inspired sleeveless latex mock neck bodysuit which is part of their "Vol. 22" collection.
The insane PVC pipe metal & molded leather choker is part of a custom stage look designer Assaad Awad originally created for her "Enigma" Vegas residency!
Her opera-length fingerless black leather gloves are the Fergie by Paula Rowan.
Throughout the show, Gaga danced around in these custom Haus of Gaga over-the-knee black leather combat boots.
Her red quilted puff shoulder jacket, she added during “Monster”, is from Iran-born Germany-based emerging designer AZIZ...
...which she combined with her favorite Komono x Tom Eerebout M Whiskey Coke sunglasses.
For the second segment of the show, LG explored her fetishgear side by rocking this bondage-inspired black PVC spike shoulder top with harness-style buckles, based on the Eclipse top by House of Namaste! Also by them: her elbow pad and fingerless neoprene gloves with PVC panels.
The deconstructed, asymmetrical stretch jersey bodysuit and trousers, both featuring PVC panels, are fruit of a collaboration between her sister's label Topo Studio NY and longtime collaborator Muto-Little Costumes.
She crowned the look with a custom Noel Stewart black PVC biker cap – which gives me incredible "The Fame" era vibes!
Next, LG rocked a custom Alexander McQueen molten metallic gold moiré tromp l'œil double lapel cropped tailored blazer, sleeveless shirt and wide-legged trousers!
Another fan favorite look was the stunning Topo Studio NY creation she whipped out for "Free Woman" — clearly a nod to Ballroom culture (Paris is Burning, anyone?).
The extravagant coat is hand-crafted from pleated gold lamé and features avant-garde sleeves, layered pagoda shoulders and a stand-up collar.
Later, she added this bespoke Philip Treacy lobster claw-inspired golden headpiece.
For the dancers, Perry Meek created 16 gold & white looks in only 5 days while Lara Jensen made a dozen of fabulous gold headpieces in the shapes of wings, orbs and orbits.
While playing her tree piano, Gaga changed into a Atsuko Kudo Joy sleeveless black latex mock neck bodysuit.
She also brought back her custom Xtian de Medici Chromataphore helmet headpiece constructed from therman plastics, vinyl and various pigments he developed for the color. Xtian used a special high tech pigment similar to the pigment that gives butterflies their color!
For her next dates, she whipped out this purple & black latex bodysuit with high collar and jet crystal embellishments that was custom-made for her by Dead Lotus Couture.
Gaga then danced to "Stupid Love" and "Rain on Me" wearing Alexander McQueen Resort 2023 eyelet-embellished cropped leather biker jacket and crystal embroidered long laser-cut harness.
For “Hold my Hand”, she replaced the previous jacket with an archival KTZ Fall/Winter 2011 deconstructed leather biker jacket. She had the shoulder lapels of hers encrusted with jet crystals.
Lastly, she wore her Gary Fay Creations album cover-worn Tree bone-shaped claw hand, with each part of the fingers moving individually.

The metal door slammed open with a scream, the hinges protesting against the movement. Theo jolted back, his hands leaving your body. The soft expression on his face was gone, being replaced by his usual mask of indifference.
“There you are! I’ve been looking for you,” Pansy giggled, leaning heavily against the doorframe. “Are you coming back in?”
“In a minute,” Theo grumbled, reaching into his pocket to pull out his pack of cigarettes. He pushed one between his lips but made no move to light it.
Pansy mustered the two of you with a smirk, her eyes jumping back and forth as she took in your flushed faces and the dishevelled state of your hair. “Don’t stop on my account, take your time.”
She sent you a final wink before retreating back inside, letting the heavy door fall shut behind her. Theo finally lit his cigarette and this time when he offered you one, you took it without hesitation.
The smoke tickled your throat as you pulled it into your lungs, closing your eyes for a moment before pushing it back out. Watching the cloud swirl and spiral into the air, dancing along the light coming from the streetlamp, the awkward silence washed over you.
Theo cleared his throat after letting out another puff of smoke, eyes fixed on his shoes. “So that just happened.”
“It sure did,” you mumbled, unable to discern how he was feeling about it.
“What happens now?” Theo still was not meeting your eyes.
“Does anything have to happen? We’re drunk and we kissed. It happens, right?”
When he did not respond and just kept staring down at the floor, your heart sank even more. The lump forming in your throat told you that the alcohol was not doing its job anymore. Oh god, what have you done? Did you just ruin everything? Sucking in another lungful of smoke, you tried to think of a way to fix this mess.
Theo's next words were barely above a whisper, causing you to glance up again. He continued watching the pavement with an intense look on his face. "That kiss... it meant nothing. We should just forget about it.”
Of course not. Why would you expect it to mean something more than just a drunken mistake? But still, him saying it out loud stung. And so did the tears welling up in your eyes. "Okay then. Great. It's forgotten."
You tried to ground yourself. This is what you wanted, for nothing to change. But why did it feel like your heart was being ripped from your chest? “I’m sorry. I don’t know why I’m crying,” you managed to say, rubbing your eyes.
Before you could say anything else, he was there, pulling you into his arms and rubbing circles across your back. You tried to fight it but eventually gave in to the sensation of his touch. If he wanted to pretend like nothing had happened, then that was perfect. It made things easier.
But you could not lie to yourself any longer. Theodore Nott had managed to bury himself deep into your heart and you wanted to be more than just his friend. After what had happened with Grady, though, you could not risk it. What if you messed everything up again? You could not imagine your life without Theo anymore.
You pulled yourself together, refusing to let any more tears fall. Smiling weakly, you glanced up at him, trying to keep the hurt and frustration out of your voice. "I’m okay now. We should probably find Pansy."
He nodded slowly, his fingers running through your hair, sending tingles all over your scalp. When he released you, you wiped away the remaining wetness around your eyes. Standing up straight, Theo dropped the rest of his cigarette to the ground before stepping it out.
“Okay, trouble. Let’s go find Pansy.”

You had never been to a hockey game before and you were glad to have Emmy at your side now that it was finally happening. The girl was excitedly chattering away next to you, explaining the rules so you had at least somewhat of an idea what was happening.
Her excitement soon rubbed off on you though, and by the time the game was starting you were on the edge of your seat. Who knew college ice hockey was such a spectacle? The announcer really gave it all when he announced the teams, each of them entering the ice to loud music and even louder cheers.
They began skating around and playing with a good amount of intensity, the players flying across the rink as they tried to score a goal against the other team. You tried to follow their every move in amazement, but your eyes kept wandering back to Theo.
He had offered you one of his jersey's earlier and by now you were slightly regretting not taking it. Almost everyone around you was decked out in the team colours and you felt out of place. But wearing a jersey with his name on the back seemed like something a girlfriend would do, and you definitely were not his girlfriend.
"Isn't this awesome?" Emmy exclaimed happily beside you, obviously thrilled to be your guide to your first game. Theo had told you that she loved watching him play but unfortunately that didn't happen often. "What do you think?"
"I love it." You smiled brightly, ignoring the flutter of your stomach when he skated by where you were sitting, shooting you a quick wink and a smile. Some girls behind you started giggling and your face flushed. Maybe that was not meant for you after all.
The rest of the first period passed quickly, both teams trying hard to make it into the net. There were only seconds left when Theo broke away from his teammates and sped towards the opposing goalie. You watched his arms tense as he pushed himself harder and faster, the puck hovering in front of him.
Your heart pounded wildly as you saw the clock slowly ticking down. Three…two…one…goal!
There was another cheer that made you jump from your seat. Everyone around you was jumping to their feet, clapping wildly as the buzzer sounded. Emmy was loudly yelling out her brother's name, a bright smile plastered on her face.
When Theo took off his helmet, you found a small satisfied smile on his face as well. From what you could tell from your limited knowledge of the sport, he was doing amazing today. He held your gaze for a moment before being crowded by his teammates.
Turning back to Emmy, you found her staring up at the screens hanging from the top of the stadium. "Now comes one of my favourite parts!"
The screen came to life and you quickly realised what was happening: The Kiss Cam. Emmy and you giggled to yourselves as you watched smiling couples and blushing strangers peck each other's lips, smiling as you watched a grandpa hug his little grandson tight, leaving a kiss on the top of the toddler's head.
It took you a moment - and a few pokes to the side from Emmy - to realise that it was your face being shown on the screen now. You could see the guy on your right leaning towards you with a smirk. Turning to send him an apologetic smile, you shrugged your shoulders before leaning down and kissing Emmy on the cheek instead.
She laughed loudly, a huge grin on her face as you both continued watching. They only showed three more couples before the camera focused back on you and the guy sitting next to you. Some of his buddies were clapping him on the back as you shook your head no, an uncomfortable look on your face.
Whoever was in charge of the camera did not seem to understand that you did not want to kiss this random man, or maybe he simply did not care. "Come on, it's just a kiss. Let's just get it over with," he grinned, laughing as his friends cheered from his other side.
"Please don't take this the wrong way, but I really don't want to," you told him with a grimace.
"I don't think they'll leave us alone until we do it," he shrugged, mentioning towards the screen.
You gave in when people around you started egging you on even more, quickly kissing his cheek the same way you had Emmys.
This time they only showed one elderly couple who happily fell into each other's arms, before coming back to you. "You have got to be kidding me," you sighed in exasperation.
You shook your head again, trying to get across just how little you wanted to do this, when the guy took a hold of your arm to pull you towards him, pushing his lips directly onto yours.
Before you had the chance to react, a loud crash startled the guy enough to draw back. All eyes instantly flew down to the source of the loud noise. Theo was standing on the other side of the glass right in front of you, his helmet in his hands. If looks could kill, the guy next to you would not be standing anymore. And even now he looked close to passing out, all the colour drained from his face.
Theo's eyes were still fixed on the man with a scowl, staring him down while he slowly lowered the helmet he, presumably, just smashed into the glass. You did not have to hear him to make out the words he was saying, his lips curled back in anger and nostrils flared.
Back. Off.
The guy scrambled to sit back down, ignoring his laughing friends while muttering out an apology to you. Once everyone had settled down, you could see Theo put his helmet back on. One of his brows shot up as if asking you if you were okay.
You nodded, mouthing a quick thank you. Theo sent another wink your way before pushing off the glass and skating back over to his teammates. This one was definitely meant for you.

The huge tent in the garden of the Nott estate was lit up with lights and lanterns, looking like it jumped straight out of one of your fantasy books. Looking around, you pulled your cardigan a little closer around yourself.
You should have texted Pansy to check about tonight's dress code. Theo's answer to just wear whatever makes you comfortable ended up being no help at all. But you had slipped into oen of your favourite dresses and on the way here you had felt good about your outfit. That was until you arrived and realised everyone was dressed up to the nines.
You almost decided to go back home to change, but figured that it would look weird to run back out now. It's not like you had anything fancy enough in your closet anyways. So you carefully started making your way around the edge of the crowd, offering polite smiles to the few people looking your way as you tried to find a familiar face.
The invitation came as a surprise to you. Theo had mentioned it in passing, only elaborating when you fished for more information. Apparently, his mother had asked him to invite you to this event his father was hosting, excited to finally meet you. It was weird to you though, that you had been coming over to his house for weeks now without running into his parents even once.
At first, you had politely declined, sensing that he was not loving the idea of introducing you to his parents. The next day however, he had changed his mind, telling you that he would be a terrible friend if he did not give you the chance to talk to his father.
Theo's father, who coincidentally owned one of the biggest music magazines in the country, the Sound Scope. After that revelation, it did not take much to convince you to make an appearance.
Your eyes scanned the room quickly before settling on the bar. A drink would surely help calm your nerves, so you made your way over, patiently waiting your turn to order the first cocktail you recognized on the menu. Drink in hand, you set out once again to look for your friend.
You stopped short as someone bumped right into you. Stumbling slightly, you grabbed onto their arm to steady yourself. As soon as your brain registered what was happening, you quickly pulled back your hand. "Oh my god, I am so sorry!" you spluttered, taking a step back to give the other person some room.
"You're all good, love," said a familiar voice and your eyes flew up to find Lorenzo Berkshire looking down at you with a small grin. "Didn't know you would be here tonight."
"It was kind of last minute. I actually didn't know I was coming two days ago either," you told him, still glancing around, hoping to catch a glimpse of Theo or Pansy.
Lorenzo was one of Theo's closest friends but you only knew him in passing. Other than Pansy, you had not officially met any of Theo's other friends, but Lorenzo always seemed nice enough when you crossed his path in the school hallways or at the drinks table at a house party.
"You're looking like a fish out of water. Are you feeling okay?" He had the most gorgeous brown eyes you had ever seen and a warm smile to match them. And tonight, that charming smile reached all the way to his deep dimples as he held out his arm to you.
Grateful that he had decided to stick by your side for now, you wrapped your own arm around his and followed along when he started walking. "I'm just nervous. Haven't been to an event like this before," you admitted. "Is it that obvious?"
He let out a laugh and shook his head. "Don't worry. Most of the people here only pay attention to themselves anyway."
That was true enough, you guessed. Barely anyone had even glanced your way. You took a long sip from your glass as you let him guide you through the crowd. "Where are you taking me, by the way? I don't know if I can stand being that too from the bar."
"Well, I'm guessing you are looking for Theo," he chuckled, sidestepping an older man who was excitedly waving around his hands as he was talking. "I was going to take you to him."
"Thanks for helping me out," you told him as he led you towards one of the standing tables in the middle of the large tent, some of the tension leaving your body when you spotted the back of Theo's fluffy brown hair.
"Anytime, darling," he grinned, letting go of your arm and instead resting his warm hand on the small of your back. Lorenzo easily slid himself into the small group surrounding the table, pulling you with him. You ended up standing right next to Theo, who's eyes were fixed on his phone.
"Mind if we join you?" Lorenzo asked the woman standing on Theo's other side.
"Of course not," she replied with a polite smile. The change of topic caught Theo's attention, a grin taking over his face as he glanced up from his phone to find you already looking at him.
He leaned down, speaking in a low voice. "There you are. I was wondering if you weren't going to show up after all."
"Sorry, I might have gotten a little lost in the bar area. But Lorenzo was nice enough to bring me to you," you said, matching his volume.
A frown briefly appeared on his lips before he looked away and focused on the rest of the drink in front of him. You were about to ask him what was wrong when someone cleared their throat, catching your attention.
The woman was now smiling at you, eyes crinkling as she mustered your face. "You must be y/n? My kids haven't been able to stop talking about you. I'm so happy you could make it tonight!"
So this had to be Theo's mother. She was wearing an elegant emerald green dress, her dark hair pulled into an expressive looking updo. When she spoke, she sounded british. The faint accent was almost completely hidden but you had managed to pick up on it.
"Y/n y/l/n," you introduced yourself to the table, stretching out your hand towards Mrs. Nott. "It's so nice to finally meet you."
She beamed and offered you her own hand in greeting. Her firm grip sent a rush of warmth up your spine and you felt a flush appear on your cheeks. This was even more nerve-wrecking than you had anticipated. You wanted her first impression of you to be flawless. But why was it suddenly so important what Theo's parents thought of you?
Mrs. Nott introduced the other two women at the table as her friends, and they all started interrogating you about school and where you were from. You tried answering each question politely without going into too much detail. These people were filthy rich and you would rather not tell them that your family was basically dirt poor.
Lorenzo soon excused himself to get another drink but he never came back to the table. His hand at your back was replaced by Theo’s large one and you calmed down a little when he started drawing slow patterns over the fabric of your dress. You could see the muscles in his arms flex underneath his dress shirt and the smell of alcohol wafted in your direction everytime he turned to say something to you.
It made you gulp down the last of your cocktail, noticing that even he, who had experience with these sorts of events, had been indulging in a good amount of beverages. It made you less nervous about drinking yourself. Just as you were about to excuse yourself to get another drink as well, Theo's mother brightened up once again.
"There you are! Y/n this is Theodore, my husband," she told you and pulled a tall man with sparse dark hair up to the table. "This is the girl Emmy has been going on and on about. The one with the band?"
Mr. Nott reached out to shake your hand as well, his grip even tighter than his wife's. He looked amused by the shy expression on your face. You couldn't quite place the look though, it wasn't the smug or disapproving kind of amused but it wasn't exactly friendly either. As Theo's mother continued talking about how you were hoping to become a songwriter after graduation, he finished his glass before interrupting her.
"I've actually seen some of your videos and I have to say I'm impressed. Who did you record those with?" he asked, leaning forward and locking his gaze onto yours.
"We've just started recording them in my bandmate's garage. So far we've been doing everything ourselves and we're still figuring things out," you explained with a grimace, wishing you had something more professional sounding to say.
"Well, what I have seen looks really good," he offered with a smile. From what Theo had been telling you about his father, you really had not expected him to be this kind to you.
"Yeah, the videos have really helped getting our music out there. Theo made them, actually, did you know?" you questioned, nudging your friend with your elbow. Theo had a stoney expression on his face, clearly uncomfortable now that his father was here.
His dad shook his head. "No, I didn't know that." Mr. Nott shot his son a look you could not decipher and Theo stood up straighter, his hand on your back stopping its movement. "Is that why your focus hasn't been on school? Do we need to have another talk about your priorities, son?"
"My grades have been improving, actually. Not that you would know about that," Theo grumbled, refusing to meet his father’s eyes.
The sound of Mr. Nott's glass hitting the table as he set it down carelessly almost made you jump and you regretted bringing Theo into the conversation instantly. You had been hoping that his father would be impressed but that was clearly not the case.
"You should not waste your time on childish things like your silly little movies, Theodore. I thought we agreed on that. Even if you had any talent it would take a miracle for you to make a career out of it. Don't throw away what your mother and I have set up for you and finally grow up."
Mrs. Nott was gripping her husband’s arm tightly now, visibly upset by the way the conversation was going, avoiding the looks her friends were sending her. She obviously was trying to calm him down and from the sharp glances they exchanged you knew she was probably already looking for an exit strategy for herself.
“Yeah, I think I’m done talking about this.” Theo reached down to give your hand a squeeze, before turning on his heel and walking towards the tent exit. His mother sent you an apologetic glance before excusing herself, her friends quickly following behind her and you found yourself wishing Lorenzo had not left.
Mr. Nott was apparently unaware of the tension now surrounding the both of you, picking up his empty glass to take another sip, only realising there was no more whiskey in it when he had already lifted it to his lips.
He sighed, only then noticing you were still here, mentioning to your own empty glass. “Care to join me for another drink? I would love to talk more about your music.”
