Numbers in Korean pt 1
Tumblr media
There’s two numeric systems in Korean, which are used in different occasions depending on what you are talking about. There’s Native Korean numbers and Sino-Korean numbers, which are derived of Chinese.
Native Korean Numbers
Counting things/people
Telling the time (only hours)
Age
하나 -  1 둘 - 2 셋 - 3 넷 - 4 다섯 - 5 여섯 - 6 일곱 - 7 여덟 - 8 아홉 - 9 열 = 10
To count from 11 and further, you simply add the numbers to each other (11= 10 + 1)
열하나 - 11 열둘 - 12 열셋 - 13
스물 - 20
스물하나 - 11 스물둘 - 12
서른 - 30 마흔 - 40 쉰 - 50 예순 - 60
일흔 - 70 여든 - 80 아흔 - 90
Examples:
스물한 살이에요. - I am twenty one years old.
동생이 셋 있어요. - I have three younger siblings.

Hallo, 안녕하세요 여러분
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hi everyone a I started to a new journey: learning german. I am litterally at a baby level in german and trying to learn by myself really difficult. Anyway I started to listen songs in german and write down them with their translations and then make a dictionary for words that I don't know (almost each one xd). Also I write the meanings of them in korean as well to improve my korean vocab list.

Finally finished packing for Korea, probably the most stressful part of the whole process so far. 23kg isn’t mich when you’re going away for a month...
I fly out to Korea tomorrow evening, don’t think it’s quite sunk in that I’m going yet, I’m not excited or even nervous, but I’m sure the emotions will build when I get to the airport. This is my first time flying so far away from home, it will be the longest time I’ll be spending alone too, which is a bit surreal...
