So when I did the OC prompt challenge all through October, there were some ideas that I had and wanted to do, but never got the time to sit down and sketch it out to give the idea the best vision and version it could be. Coloring them was kinda out of the question too, because of time and whether my computer would hold up.

One of those prompts was the Magic Show prompt. Admittedly, I've had an affinity for the spectacle of magic shows in the past, which made me want to put out something really good. Instead, it was just a quickie sketch because 1) I was gone most of that day at a disc golf tournament and 2) I rolled my ankle badly at said tournament and was still in a good amount of pain.

What I wanted to do was the sketch you see above, Cover with a lovely assistant in the 'pull the rabbit out of a hat' trick. His lovely assistant here is his adorable friend Kaybee (@howemuginative), with both dressed to the nines for the occasion.

Today is the day the #N64 came out, well back in 1996. It was a huge, happy day for me during a time I often felt my loneliest. #Videogames were like my best friend, and man I was so worried I wouldn’t get one of these on launch day. My mom and I searched high and low when it got announced you could preorder one. Before that, she took me to #ToysRUs almost every day after school so I could play Mario 64 before it came out. I figured out you could save on the demo unit, by the time the game was out I had 56 stars saved up. With that kind of head start I was dead set on having it, day one. Somehow I found out that they were getting like 10 units at the #Kaybee at Willow Lawn, a place I never shopped at after I stopped collecting #Batman and #Wolverine action figures (shit got real). I convinced my mom to make my reservation and the wait was on. There’s nothing like counting down the days till a video game comes out, especially in that era. Thumbing through magazines, looking at pictures and the tip captions. It felt like someone was telling you a secret. I knew all about the penguins in the snow world before you, and how to beat the Bombomb King. I’ll never forget launch day. The long wait for school to end. The bus ride home. That walk down the street. The weather was nice that day, but I had no intentions of leaving my room once I got home. I found it there too, on my bed waiting for me. Heed didn’t miss, she went and made sure I got one of the 5 systems they got, and a copy of #Mario64. My quest to save Princess Peach from Bowser began almost instantly. Ironically, I got strep throat (I used to get it twice a year like clockwork) and ended up being out of school for the next week! By the time I went back I was able to casually flex: “Oh yeah Mario 64…I got 120 stars in like 5 days. Already beat it twice.” This is one of the greatest sets of memories of my life, and one of the reasons why no matter how frustrating, weird, difficult or whatever it gets, I do everything I can to take care of my mom. if you had to strike one car/maufacturer (except tesla that's a given) off the face of the planet what would it be

are we talking from now on or also retroactively? if we’re talkin just like kill off a company now without losing everything they’ve ever made, i would say maybe mitsubishi. they’re on their last legs anyway, it would be kind of a mercy killing given what they’ve become. the outlander isn’t awful but if it ceased to be it’s a niche with plenty of better options. i do adore their older models though, love the first couple gens of eclipse and i straight up screamed when i saw an imported jdm lancer evo on the road recently

if we’re going retroactive too, as much as i hate to i think i’d say fiat. their cars now are built terribly and they’re driving chrysler and jeep into the ground. i love their older cars and it would suck to potentially lose abarth, but i think basically every car they’ve ever made has a competitor that’s just as good. it would be tragic to lose the original topolino though

if we’re doing just a single car model though? ford edge. absolutely purposeless suv that i had the displeasure of driving recently. i’m sorry to any ford edge drivers who might follow me but i hated that thing and have never understood why anyone other than rental car companies bought it over a ford escape or other competitor smaller suv
