Random: I never know what to say for this lol. In my high school chorus class, we sang a medley of songs from The Phantom of the Opera, so they showed us the 2004 movie version at the end of the year, but I missed a day because I was sick. So me being me, loving both the musical and Gerard Butler, borrowed it from the library to see what I’d missed. With my renews, I ended up watching it while I did homework every night, 31 times in 28 days, to learn every single word of singing and dialogue before I had to return the DVD, because I didn’t know if I’d ever get to watch or listen to it all the way through again so I wanted to memorize it. (My mom got me the DVD and CD for my next birthday after that. lol) It’s been a while now since I last watched it so I might’ve forgotten some by now, but yeah, for a while I could basically watch the whole movie in my head. 😅🤷🏼‍♀️❤️

This idea is based on the Haunted Mansion movie.

Killian and Emma are realtors that find themselves wrapped up in more than they bargained for when they visit Mr. Cassidy’s home for what they think is just another potential sale. Little do they know, Cassidy has been long deceased after the unfortunate death of his fiancée—a fiancée he believes has been essentially reincarnated in look-alike Emma Swan, and he has every intention of winning her back, til death do they start.

This fic is AMAZING so far and I can’t wait to see where it goes! It’s inspired by the poem “La Belle Dame sans Merci” by John Keats mixed with a bit of Dark Swan, and I did look at a few of the classic paintings the poem had also inspired before making this cover art, but ultimately I worked solely from Marta’s beautiful imagery and emotion to create it. I’m so glad we got to work together, and I’m super excited to read what happens next!

Angel!Emma/Demon!Killian CS AU for @cssns 2020

This is my first solo art piece for CSSNS 2020, inspired by the “never run faster than your guardian angel can fly” photo I used in the aesthetic. Emma’s glowing blue eyes and Killian’s black eyes are inspired by the angel and demon eyes in Supernatural, but it’s not really an AU of the show (though I guess it could be).

They get a taste of each other’s worlds, and demon!Killian walks through clouds while angel!Emma breathes fire. The sneaky snake has a tint of blue while the winged one has warmer tones.

Captain Swan Aesthetic - Chicago AU

And who in case she doesn't hang Can say she started with a bang? Emma Swan!

This came from a short burst of inspiration and motivation from a conversation on the Captain Swan Movie Marathon Discord. (Basically Chicago was mentioned, and it was a CS channel, and that was enough for my brain to shout AU and then this manip happened, and it spiraled into the aesthetic.)

For anyone unfamiliar with Chicago, Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly are two of the main characters. Velma is a performer who Roxie aspires to be. Velma murders her cheating husband and gets high profile lawyer Billy Flynn to take her case. Meanwhile Roxie has an affair with a guy who says he’d help her become a star but uses her and tries to dump her, and she kills him. She tries to get her husband to take the fall, telling him it was a burglar, but he accidentally-ish confesses when he realizes she was cheating on him. Roxie goes into the same jail as Velma and gets the same lawyer to take her case (and gets reporters’ attention on her case instead of Velma’s), and they sort of keep trying to one-up each other’s case to get the news spotlight back on their own story.

So basically the rise to fame/infamy they get as murderesses becomes a big performance, and the way it’s portrayed in the movie version is kind of Roxie picturing it in her head as flashy musical numbers, thinking she‘s getting what she’d hoped for but just in a very different way, so it kind of cuts back and forth between the dancing and the actual cases during the songs. I’ve only seen the movie, so I’m not sure how differently the stage production does it, but I gather the reality of the cases are sort of literally the musical performances, which emphasizes the spectacle these cases become.

(I hope I described all that accurately enough....)

However, for a CS au, I’d proooobably put Emma in Roxie’s place but skip the husband (or mayyybe she cheated on Walsh with Neal or vice versa so whoever she’s married to could be just as bad as the guy she had an affair with but idk, I wouldn’t really want to make her have an affair and I definitely wouldn’t want to make her cheat on Killian), and then Killian would take Billy Flynn’s place and they’d fall for each other along the way, which could probably be its own scandal but almost anything can turn out fine in fiction lol.

So yeah, some things would probably have to be altered to make a CS AU out of Chicago, and I don’t have the full ideas or attention span to work through it all, but if anyone would want to write one, I’d certainly read it.

The Craving in Between - fic by @hollyethecurious a Captain Swan vampire/college AU for @cssns 2020

Summary: Emma shivered at the biting wind whipping through the street as she crossed from one alley to next, the tight, thin dress beneath her jacket doing little to help keep her warm. She’d chosen it earlier that night hoping to impress a certain teaching assistant from one of the classes she and Neal shared. Killian Jones. A doctoral candidate several years her senior, and super hot to boot, Emma couldn’t deny she’d initially started flirting with him just to get under Neal’s skin, but as the semester went on and her overtures were met with equally witty and flirtatious banter, Emma had to admit there was something about Killian Jones that drew her to him.

Emma rolled her eyes, and not some mystical, mumbo jumbo, supernatural bullshit. Another scoff left her lungs, hanging before her in a mist of cold sarcasm as she recalled her ex’s words warning that Jones wasn’t human. Shaking her head, Emma thought to herself, Well, what the hell is he then, Neal? 

Emma was about to find out.

asdfghjkl this fic is AMAZING! Inspired by a scene from The Vampire Diaries books and borrowing lore from TVD (but NOT a TVD AU), Hollye wrote a beautiful and suspenseful (and hot) CS vampire story. I’ve read and loved Hollye’s writing for a while now, and I was so excited to get to work with her for this event. (I’m also a fan of TVD and recently started rewatching the tv series, so this was perfect.) With a college setting, anyone with a thing for professor TA!Killian will get that added bonus (they are in TA/student roles when their attraction to each other starts, but the TA/student dynamic itself is not a reason for their attraction).

Big thank you and lots of love to the mods of @cssns for running this spectacular event again! I’ve had so much fun participating the past few years, making new friends, and seeing/reading everyone’s supernatural creations.
