Elizabeth Bontrager posts about her siblings and "healing" those relationships so much, I'm starting to wonder what the hell she did to make her sibs hate her so much lol?? Like she just goes on this rant about how you the viewer "probably don't have a lot of trust and communication" going on with your siblings and it's like....... what are you talking about?

There's nothing bad abt strengthening sibling relationships obv but idk, her intense commitment to this subject gives me the weirdest vibes for some reason.

I get there's a lot of reasons people avoid flour and dairy, but why does she seem to go out of her way to fuck up recipes? Like she can't just make an experimental chocolate black bean dessert, she has to call it brownies even though the recipe barely resembles it. Idk.

She just tries so hard to appear a certain way that I don't even know what she's going for anymore lol.

When I was holding back in my marriage and my home, I felt a deep soul sickness. Then, in the clamor, arose a quiet strong voice, one I know I can always trust. “My hand has placed you here. I began reading my writing to him and sharing my deepest thoughts and fears. And then, he began to express the love Christ poured into him for me. As I was learning to let Levi love me, Melissa Jacie worked night and day, painting our first series called “Held,” portraying the power of a Godly marriage. Marriage as a picture of God holding us. These paintings express the joy and rest in perfect submission to our husbands as unto Christ. 

As women, when we embrace our divinely appointed roles as helpmeets, cultivators of beauty, and caretakers of the home, we find perfect rest. We feel secure and “held” by God because then we are in alignment with His perfect design. This joyous submission is contrary to the world. Many women are longing for more than home, more than motherhood. But my dears…nothing is more sacred than this. God’s hand has placed you here. We feel His hand the moment we truly accept the honor it is to be called beloved, and embrace our husband’s love by deeply respecting him.I long to see marriage be “held in high honor” again. It’s not just about friendship, but portraying the character of God. 

In every embrace, we are learning that true love is not a feeling, but a decision. A decision to place our trust in a design we never could have dreamed up ourselves.What if we have the power to lead a lost world back to God by being living paintings of Christ’s love through our marriages? What if the world can look on, see the trust of us wives, and the devotion and self sacrifice of our husbands, and be convicted once more of God’s tender heart and outstretched arm?

I always wonder if she'll ever throw her married name in there. Although Kelly Stickle Ohio doesn't have the same ring to it lol.

I feel like Kelly Havens is into Anne of Green Gables in a way a lot of people are into Star Wars like, it's the only fictional media she consumes or cares about.

I agree, I actually don't hate Avonlea. It's got a musical sound to it.
