FRINGE REVIEW: INSERT CLOWN HERE
Tumblr media
Company: Parlous Theatre
Director: Jacob Willis & Kendelle Parks
Playwright: Jacob Willis & Kendelle Parks
Performers: Ella Berger, Kole Durnford, Atlin Hofer, Nicole Kleiman & Jonnie Lombard
Additional Artists: Set/Costume: Irene Ly Sound/Lighting: Christopher-Elizabeth Clowns: Rosalie Tremblay-Johnston, Eliza Smith, Alma Sarai, Carlyn Rhamey, Gabbi Kosmidis, Ken Hall, Justin Shaw
In the vein of hilarious mischief theatre productions like The Play That Goes Wrong, Toronto’s Parlous Theatre takes a fully-rehearsed 19th-century melodramatic masterpiece and inserts a random, unrehearsed, Clown as the main character. While the clown tries to conjure lines and blocking from a script they haven’t read, the remaining cast will attempt to keep the story on track, resulting in a comedy-of-errors newly created every show. Each performance has a special Hamiltonian comedian in the role of the Clown so what could possibly go wrong?? As the company’s tagline suggests, only everything.
Trying to write a spoiler free review of this production will be tough and in doing so, this may be my shortest review. The rehearsed side of the cast is incredibly strong and prepared for anything. Considering this show has sold out houses during Toronto Fringe not long ago, it is no surprise that they are well-versed in the absurd nature of their show.
Our beloved local Clown (for this reviewer’s performance, the delightful Alma Sarai) is thrown in and does their very best to not only take on the role of the missing actor, but also be equally as melodramatic and manic as the rest of the company. Sarai is best known in our community for their Shakespearean prowess so while improv may not be their strongest skillset, they accomplish plenty of laugh out loud moments with their awkward mumbles and excellent physical comedy. It is absolute chaos by the end and the audience at The Zoetic seemed to love every moment.
It is a unique production to be sure and one that will be equal parts funny and fresh with every performance. Be sure to add this one to your Fringe list if you’re in need of some ridiculous fun. You won’t regret it.

So when Webby goes to Lex to be like "yo sis I know you wanted to forget about me but your actual sis is in trouble", she says the definitions of all the lords in black. She says pokey is the most uncompromising but she doesn't say about the others which one is which and I think I got it.
The hungriest (nibbly¿)
The cleverest (wiggly¿)
The trickiest (blinky¿)
The most sadistic (tinky¿)
The most uncompromising (pokey)

This is what I have soo far for the NMT 2 letters.
The first two, the N and T were posted by the Starkid account and the T tagged Joey, The G Joey posted and he tagged Mariah, Mariah posted the H and she's tagged Curt. (We are waiting for Curt to post the next letter,) but basically, each cast member has to tag each other at random to reveal the next letter and clue.
Next let's talk about what these letters spell out, obviously it looks like they are spelling out Nightmare Time, but what about the letters surrounding the bigger letters. The N and T spells out Hope Ends and the others surrounding the G and H are completely random. The S, B and U are highlighted therefore they must be an anagram to something and I think the unhighlighted letters are anagrams too.
And finally let's talk about the pictures behind the letters. We can see that the N and T have a behive, bee and honey so that could possibly be a hint to the hivemind. The G has a boat, basically hinting at Gerald's boating society and the H has trees possibly telling us about the Hachetfield Forest.
What do you guys think?

Baines and Newsome Booksellers, Leeds’ ordering Nicolls’ map mounted in case 4 ½ guineas – to be sent tomorrow week by Kendell’s cart with drawers and chimney piece – from 11 ¼ to 2 10 wrote the whole of these four last pages  – out with A- at 2 20 at Whiskum cottage – went in with Wombesley to ask what toll he was to pay for 3 horse coal cart – I did not recollect - Mrs Pickells said 8d.
SH:7/ML/E/17/0118

#JusticeforJohnnyDepp: Johnny’s witness statements at a glance (Winona Ryder, Vanessa Paradis & Katherine Kendall)
Things I Cover in this Post:
the nature of how The Sun obtained the quotes from Katherine Kendall
This post will be a bit on the shorter side, as these three witness statements were brief, but the words these women provided are, I believe, important. It helps to illustrate Johnny’s character, along with establishing the less than moral practices of The Sun. I will be providing highlights from the statements of: Katherine Kendall- survivor of Weinstein, prominent figure of the MeToo movement. Winona Ryder- iconic American actress, dated Johnny for 4 years, ending in 1993. Vanessa Paradis- French musician, actress and fashion model, mother of Johnny’s 2 kids and his partner for 14 years, ending in 2012.
Before we get into their statements, please don’t hesitate to sign this petition, which is calling for an official review into the misconduct of the judge from this case, Andrew Nicol. He has a proven family connection to The Sun and a professional connection to AH and her legal team. So straight up, he needs to be fired, just like AH does from Aquaman 2.
To go in chronological order, I’m going to begin with Winona Ryder. Before getting into her statement, I just wanted to address that both she and Vanessa were not actually brought in to provide their statements during the trial. Ultimately, Johnny’s legal team decided against this. But, I wanted to point out how ridiculously significant it is that Winona provided a statement and was willing to vouch for Johnny. She did not have to do this, she and Johnny broke up almost three decades ago, she owes him literally nothing. Taking a look at mainstream media, they want you to believe he is guilty and so, Winona coming out to support him in these legal proceedings, that could only be a detriment to her career, which has suffered its own lows. Arguably, you could say that her career has only gotten back on track with Stranger Things in 2016 (don’t get me wrong, she has been working consistently in Hollywood and she was a fucken standout in 2010′s Black Swan), after being the butt of a lot of jokes or seeming to be unable to step out of the shadows of her own mental health (and legal) issues in the beginning of the ‘00′s.  To side with a perceived abuser was a risk, it could bring a shitton of negative press and even get her removed from projects. But she knows Johnny is innocent, so she knows it’s not a risk. She rocks.
Tumblr media
Shocked, confused and upset? Girl, same.
Those sceptical on Johnny’s innocence may want to dismiss her statement altogether - her relationship with Johnny ended in 1993, what relevance does that have to do with the things that transpired in the 2010′s? Couldn’t he have changed since then? Sure, that is definitely a valid argument. But when their relationship ended, Johnny was 30 whole years old, he was a grown-ass man, not a teen with his mind still developing.
But sure, for arguments sake, let’s say that Winona’s experience has nothing to do with the Johnny that Scum married in 2015. To counter that, let’s take a look at the statement from Vanessa Paradis, whom he did not split from until 2012, much more recent to the man he is today.
Tumblr media
They were together for fourteen years and she never saw anything even close to the behaviour Scum is alleging.  He was forty-nine whole years old when they split, definitely a grown-ass man who is probably quite set in his ways. It’s so weird how his whole personality would suddenly transform and he would become an incredibly violent man, kinda reminds me of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde. It all just came completely out of nowhere, as opposed to Scum, who has previously been arrested for assaulting a partner. I believe a history of violence is prevalent, but it exists for Scum, not for Johnny.
Now to shed light on Katherine Kendell, whose quotes were used in the initial article that the Sun published labelling Johnny as a wife-beater. Katherine was a 23 year old actress when successful-producer and industry-big-wig Harvey Weinstein sexually harassed her, alone in his apartment. She is one of the many brave survivors to lend her famous face and name to the MeToo movement. The Sun weaponised this vital movement in order to cause an immediate emotional response to their article. I believe Scum is doing the exact same thing, they are weaponizing the experiences of other survivors, aiming all of the hurt-fuelled rage that comes in response to hearing about these years of abuse and aiming it to fire at will, at Johnny Depp. It is morally bankrupt, if you ask me. The person who ‘interviewed’ Katherine does not have any empathy for her experiences or struggles. Dan Wootton certainly does not give two shits about Katherine or what she actually went through.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Stalked and misquoted. Then completely dismissed. They used her, her status as a survivor and her words, then threw her aside - as if this woman hasn’t been through enough in her life. They are completely missing the point of #MeToo. She never should have been included in this article, never should have been dragged into this mess. But that’s just The Sun folks, they will do whatever it takes to get their story. They don’t care how far they stretch the truth, even when it is stretched far beyond recognition. It is soulless and immoral.
But it’s just another notch on their long list of terrible practices.
That’s it for Johnny’s witnesses, so next I have to get into Scum’s/The Sun’s, so... yeah, please pray for me and my sanity because that is not gonna be fun.

Lesbian Jock/Nerd
For anon~~sorry this is literally so late but I hope you enjoy :)
--
"We won't even be able to fly our hot air balloon if we don't get it finished. And today's the last day, I think," Tess mutters, untangling the hot glue gun cord.
That snaps me out of my daze real quick. "I thought we had tomorrow too."
"Maybe try paying attention for once. But I know how horribly difficult it is for you to listen when the woman of your dreams is close by." Tess snickers, and does a breathy, lovesick impression of my voice. "Oh Kendell, take me away! Kendell, I love it when you use big words like Pythagorean Theorem!"
I scoff. "I happen to know very well what the Pythagorean Theorem is. And besides, I don't even sound like that."
But I did sound like that. I may be daft but I still know that my feelings for Kendell aren't exactly a secret around school. I mean, I've done nothing to hide it, but somehow lots of people don't know, which is so weird. Word usually spreads pretty fast. Kendell probably doesn't know I exist, and if she does then she must hate me. Straight girls get so uncomfortable at the notion that another girl might like them, it's crazy.
Tess hastily blots hot glue onto the tissue paper hot air balloon, accidentally burning her fingers in the process. She yelps and holds out the project for me. "Here, since you're so chattery, you can give this to the teacher."
I'd really rather not, but Tess will just keep blowing on her fingers and pouting until I can't take how annoying she is anymore. I snatch the hot air balloon from her, though not hard enough to tear the paper.
I give her a nasty look over my shoulder and when I turn around, I almost slam straight into-
"Hi Kendell," I blurt immediately, like the idiot I am.
"Hey guys," she nods. Kendell has always been very chill for a geek. Very attractive of her. "Nicole, you play lacrosse, right?"
I nod excitedly, delighted that she knows that about me.
Kendell kicks the heel of her shoe into the ground and gives me a lopsided smile that makes my feel all fluttery. "This is, like, such a weird question, but do you have any of your sticks with you today?"
Before I can answer, she jumps ahead. "Our balloon landed a few streets away in someone's tree and Robbie said he'd give me five bucks if I got it out for him, since he doesn't want to. And you live just up the street, so I was thinking you might be able to help? I don't have a broom or anything but the lacrosse stick would be long enough to get it."
She was right. It is a weird question. It's absurd. But I would bring her as many lacrosse sticks as she wanted.
Tess, who came out of nowhere, slaps me on the back. "Nicole would LOVE to help you."
Kendell smiles again. "Cool." -------------------------------------------- I walk up the hill with my longest lacrosse stick across my shoulders. I don't realize I'm going way faster than Kendell is until I look behind me and see her huffing and puffing 5'6 catch up. I wait for her, embarrassed. What a great first impression.
"Sorry," I say. Earlier we had to trudge through knee-deepsnow and now I'm making her run after me.
"It's fine. You were kinda booking it, though," she says between pants. I must look really guilty, because she laughs and reassures, "Its not you. I just have short legs."
Fantastic legs. Not that I'm, like, checking out her legs or anything, but she really has nice curves on her. And not like mannequin curves, where the hips are wide and the waist is wrist-thin. Kendell fills out her clothes and looks simultaneously every huggable but strong, like a dancer. Man, I must sound like a creep.
She pulls out her phone and taps the screen a few times, then shuts it off and slides it back in her pocket. Most likely and S.O.S note to let someone know she needs to be rescued from this awkward, skyscraper lesbian.
"This way," Kendell points, starting to walk again, and I can't help but notice she's taking bigger steps.
When we reach the tree, I can already tell this thing isn't coming down in one piece. It's way too tangled in the branches. Kendell watches me as I stand on my toes and reach as high as I can, only to be a foot or two out of reach. I try jumping, which unfortunately does nothing.
Kendell blows a sharp breath and pushes her slipping glasses back up her nose. "Jeez, sorry about all this. Made you come out here in the cold and it doesn't even work."
"Nope. Absolutely not. I came out here to get this balloon and I'm not leaving til we do." It's very brutally honest of me, but I wouldn't feel satisfied without knowing we accomplished something. "Get on my back," I say without thinking.
"You wouldn't be able to lift me," Kendell insists casually. "I'm too heavy." She sounds like she's given this speech a million times and no one has ever believed her.
"Are you even seeing me? I'm like double your size. Come on, I won't drop you." I crouch over for her.
"Oh, please," Kendell protests, but gets on anyway. "Not like there's anything in it for you."
"Your five dollars are very important to me."
She laughs loudly, and I am absolutely thrilled that I did that! I made her laugh! I also love the squeak she makes when I stand back up with no difficulty.
At this new height, it's almost too easy, and we don't even rip the paper. I kind of don't want to put her down, but I have to. She has this big grin on her face. It matches mine.
"Thanks, that was awesome."
I don't know if she means the balloon or the fact that I just deadlifted her, so I just say "Anytime"
Kendell flattens out the balloon before folding it up, and I laugh at the cartoon logo on it: A drawing of a lobster with a crown, with the words LOBSTER QUEENS in bold Sharpie underneath.
"Did you draw that?" I ask.
"What gave it away?"
"I've seen the guys in your group. None of them have good enough handwriting to do something like that."
Kendell giggles. "True. I'm not better than any of them at science by a long shot. The only reason they want me on their team is because we're getting a grade on design and I'm the only one they're friends with who can draw."
"I really like it," I say, and I mean it. It's fun, but not over the top. Very Kendell. "And your team did get first place, so it was probably worth it."
"I guess. I get along better with the guys, anyway. I weird the other girls out, so it works." She stares at the ground.
This is important, I can tell. I want to know more, but I don't want to scare her off. "You don't weird me out."
She brightens. "Thanks. Figured as much. Straight girls are just like that. Like, 'aww, we'll be your friends, but ONLY if you don't fall in love with us!' Give me a break, you know?"
My heart kind of stops. "What?"
"What?"
"What?" I definitely do not panic.
"I'm gay," she says, her smile soft and warm. "You seriously didn't know? I thought everyone knew."
"I'm a bit out of the loop," I admit, trying to stay calm while I'm screaming happily inside.
The walk back is nicer. Less anxiety inducing. There isn't an uncomfortable wall between us. We joke like we're old friends, and at one point our hands brush for a few seconds, and I have no idea what it means but I absolutely love it.

These are what we have so far folks, it's all coming together, someone said that the night is blue (obviously) the mare will be green and time will be red like each of the episodes in the first NMT.
So I'm not sure to stick to my original theory or change it to the blue green red theory. 🤔

Mr. Loverde is one of the producers of the forthcoming children's film "The Adventures of Dally and Spanky," which is distributed through Sony Pictures Entertainment. Mr. Loverde is an accomplished painter and photographer. He works in both traditional (paint and canvas) and electronic media. IMDB link: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2179007/ Director StatementUpon seeing "Beauty, Brains, and Personality" I want audiences to laugh their hearts out! I also want them to have a sense of healing, because it is the story of the break-up and renewal of a deep friendship. I adore love stories but I also love stories of friendships. I even love watching those videos where, for example, a cat and an owl happen to be best pals. I even associate produced a film earlier this year about a dog and a horse who have an unlikely friendship called "The Adventures of Dally and Spanky." Friendship is lovely and mysterious -- in many ways even more mysterious than love, since it doesn't necessarily result in babies but it can still last an entire life. I realize that some men may be a bit mystified by "BB&P," but hopefully it will help them to understand their girlfriends, wives, daughters, or even mothers a bit better. I believe that creating this film (and script) has made me a better, more understanding person. Starring Tiana Tuttle, Alexis Phillips, Samantha Skelton. A tolerable kiss last night very fine morning F50° at 8 10 am - hurried over breakfast left Eugenie and George to follow in the carriage by the high road to Leeds (to the hotel) and A- and I and Charles H- walked (5 or 10 minutes from the Inn) to the railroad office -  And at 9 20 A- and I in the yellow carriage, the large best one (only this one in the train) at 3/. per place, covered in like a stage coach with door and windows at each side – and Charles H- in the green carriage just before us open at the sides – top supported on 4 uprights, 2/. per place – the carriages best and 2nd best like those on the Manchester and Liverpool road – the carriages drawn up ready for starting under a large good shed – our carriage called the Venues – sat waiting 18 minutes and off at 9 38 (my watch ¼ hour too soon by York – 20 minutes ditto by Hull and 25 minutes ditto Selby) - at Milford (8 miles from Selby) in 44 minutes, our train having slow for the last ½ hour – this slow pace (the men got out and walked by the side of us some throwing small stones upon the sleepers) continued for 25 minutes to ½ hour – it had rained almost from the moment of our starting – the sleepers were wet and slippery and the wheels of the carriage would not bite – they only bite by their weight – only one person (some sort of tradesman) in the carriage (holds 6) with us - and not a man of much intelligence – said there was to be a meeting of the Aire and Calder committee this afternoon to take into consideration what should be done in the present emergency – the Railway charges 6/8 per ton from Leeds to Selby – and the dues of the Aire and Calder from Leeds to Goole are 7/. let alone freightage which will average 2/6 per ton more – the navigation by the river from Selby to Hull being free gives a great advantage - At Leeds at 11 17 having done the distance from Searcroft in 6 minutes – the 800 yards tunnel into Leeds being quite dark took A- and me by surprise and she did not like it at all – distance from Selby to Leeds 19 miles – rained all the way more or less tho’ not heavily – a nice commodious waiting room with water closet adjoining for the ladies – good landing place and buildings for offices etc in Leeds – saw and spoke to the general superintendent Mr William Williams – asked him for a tariff of the charges on goods etc –a gentleman’s carriage to be 15/. - found Mr Williams civil and intelligent – there was a tariff printed for the use of the persons of the establishment but not allowed to be given to the public – on giving my name and address - saying I was interested in the Calder and Hebble navigation and anxious for information he very civilly gave me one of the printed tariffs on my promising not to shew it, but leaving me at liberty to make and shew any extract from it I choose – recommended me to Baines’s in Briggate for Woods’ work on railroads – while talking had left A- in the ladies room and let all the flies and cabs go away, so walked in the rain (not heavy) to Kendells’ took Charles H- ordered chimney piece for north dining room, to Wilkinson about the pendule and to Baine’s the booksellers – very civil and shewed me a nice new copy of Nicolls’ plan the canals and railroads very nicely done up in a case opening in the middle and looking like a book – map 3 ½ guineas mounting and case 1 guineas and book of text 8vo. 1 guinea= 5 ½ guineas - they had Woods’ work but it was the 1st edition printed in 1832 I think, so I declined taking it - bought a plan of the Leeds and Selby railroad, a 4d. almanac etc.  at the hotel at 12 55 – having just send off Charles H- to go by the coach from the Rose and Crown at one - A- tired ordered her a mutton cheap and the servants to dine – bought the Leeds Intelligencer and Leeds Mercury of this morning and sat reading – it seems Sir John Beckett will come in with Baines, Mr Marshall retires on account of bad health – off from the hotel about 2 – above an hour at Nelson’s choosing fender and fire irons for the blue room – Papins’ digester - and a new sort of grill to do beefsteaks etc in front of the fire – took up the pendule at Wilkinson’s – left the umbrella at Kendell’s we had borrowed there in the morning and off from there at 3 10 and at Shibden at 5 52 – some time with my father and Marian – then with my aunt – she had 2 letters for A- from her sister (Udale) and 1 franked by Lord Hotham at Denton Park from Mrs George Fenton - and a note for me from the Halifax philosophical society and a kind letter from lady Stuart dated Whitehall                         and a letter dated Langton 24th ultimo 3 pages and ends from Norcliffe! Given an account (rigmarole)  of his tour in America - tea at 7 – A- and I sat talking till after 8 – one of Mrs Sutherland’s letters to announce that Miss Rogers was to live with Miss Walker of Cliff Hill  and the other to announce Captain Sutherland having written to Mr Rawson about the administration account money in the bank on behalf of A- and her sister - While A- wrote a copy of letter to her sister I read from page 41 to 71 Philipp’s little elementary work on geology bought at York - fine morning till about 9 ½ am afterwards windy, boisterous wettish day and evening - went upstairs at 10 ¼ at which hour rainy night - F48° at 11 pm -  A-‘s cousin came this morning.
