Hey everyone! I decided to venture back to Tumblr! Since I last posted, a lot has happened. I published two books:
And I have two more coming out next year:
All of them are picture books! I’ll make bigger posts about them later so you can see the work that I did for them.
Here is the month of January in its full glory, full of snow that is.
“Oops, sorry guys!”
Sketch for January, inspired by the Roman god Janus, who
is usually depicted as having two faces, representing transition, time,
duality, beginning and end.
One fox is looking at the previous year, while the other is looking at the following one.
Well, it’s finally 2021. I have no idea if this year will be better than the last. One thing I’m excited to be an aunt and God mother this spring. My sister @jam_chong and her husband @chongkid will be having a baby boy this March. I’m hoping this post will kick up some more personal illustration work in the near future. I am thankful that my commercial work is booming but sometimes this girl needs to draw her own stuff.
Good weather ahead for frosty walks and building lumpy snow friends!! ⛄️⛄️⛄️

Sometimes you just need to take a cleansing breath. Here’s a #wip for a project I’ve been dreaming about.

‘But Shelob was not as dragons are, no soft spot had she save only her eyes. Knobbed and pitted with corruption was here age-old hide, but ever thicken from within with layer upon layer of evil growth’ (J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings, pg. 728)
