Author's Note
Wattpad Book
I originally have 2 more books planned after this one if this happens to be a lot more successful than I imagine. I hope you enjoy it as much as I'm enjoying writing it. If you happen to have any more questions about the characters and who they are, please let me know on curious cat.
https://curiouscat.live/kjitbh
Finally, if you find anything triggering in the first three chapters, I suggest not reading any further as I am a very detailed writer, meaning I leave nothing. Additionally, Reene is actually supposed to be a Y/N character, however, while writing the story I just couldn't get used to the fact that I was using Y/N and decided to make her a character with a name to follow.
Update: Since this book is still currently in the works, I will continuously do revisions on the chapters that are already posted. Until the book is finished and all chapters are uploaded, once the book is set to Complete, that'll indicate that all revisions have been complete and the book will no longer be edited any further in the future unless for important updates regarding the next book.
Thanks for reading. - R
CHAPTER 1
Five, four, three, two...
Alarm goes off.
"Reene..." My roommate says. She's laying in bed, as I peek out from under my blanket.
"Good Morning Imani!" I push my covers off and get out of bed, reaching to turn my alarm clock off.
"Good luck with your class. It's so early, I still don't know how you do it."
"I don't know either, but I've always been-" Imani cuts me off.
"Punctual, yes we get it."
"Who's we?" I giggle.
"The ghost that lives with us."
Silence...
"Whatever, let me take my ass back to sleep." Imani flips over and faces toward the wall on her side of our apartment. I smile and continue getting myself dressed for the day.
After that, I finish getting ready for the day and prep my backpack with my laptop, a workout outfit with sneakers, and a water bottle before I head out to my first class. I don't usually eat breakfast, I'm too lazy to make myself something or grab something to go and my eating schedule is all over the place now that I'm back in school for my last year.
I exit the apartment building and head down the street to wait for the public bus. I wish I had a car, it would be a lot easier to get to school even though I wouldn't say it's too far. I need my exercise anyway, I've got to get my steps in.
"Morning Ree." My classmate waves while walking up to sit next to me on the bench. He lives in a complex near mine. We're sort of close friends, at least I like to think so.
"Good morning Al." I return a smile to him. We both turn away from each other after that and sit in silence, becoming a bit awkward. I should put my headph-
"So, how was your weekend?" He asks.
"Oh it was okay I guess, nothing much happened. Just completed some assignments like always and went to work at the library, like I do every Friday to Sunday...I'm rambling aren't I." I nod slowly and look down at my lap.
"No." He shakes his head. "It's more than just saying it was okay, nice to know. Honestly, this is the most you have spoken to me in the morning, you're usually just blanked out and tired." He laughs.
"Really? Sorry about that, you know I'm not a very talkative person. I think my roommate's rubbing off on me." I laugh and then pat my thighs. The bus finally arrives and so do a few other students who usually come to the bus stop last minute. Al stands up before me and offers his hand.
"Oh, I'm oka-." But he ignores my answer and pulls me up.
"Let's go." He smiles and lets go of my hand and allows me to head into the bus first. Did I mention that he's in my first class of the day? Oh, I didn't.
As I get on the bus I sit in the front because I like getting off ahead of everyone, Al sits beside me. Once everyone is finally on the bus we head off to campus.
The bus arrives at school and Al and I get off. He shoots me another smile and of course, I smile in return. As we're walking we come across a few students roaming around to their early classes like us. It's a lot more peaceful at this time of the day and then noon hits and everyone's in a hurry. Tense and anxious. At least it looks like that to me, but maybe it's just because there's so many people around each other and so many unhappy-looking faces that I've just gotten used to seeing people this way. I mean, it's college for crying out loud, who actually loves college? Not judging if you do, but, to me, school's kinda ass.
Once we're in the science building and enter our classroom, Al and I head to our seats. We sit beside each other.
"Awe, look at you two, so cute." A classmate says.
"We're not dating." I glare at them. Our classmates like to tease us since Al and I are close.
They suck their teeth annoyingly.
"Oh come on, Reene, don't act clueless?"
"Who's acting clueless? You're the clueless and delusional one." I set my bag next to me and sit turning to them.
"Cut it out Emily, Reene and I are just friends." Al speaks up. Emily smirks and looks at the other classmates sitting around him and me.
"Okay. It's time." Emily claps and slaps her hand on the table.
"Time for what exactly? Class. Yes, get in your seats everyone." I smile hard and turn to the front of the class.
"Al, when are you going to tell Reene that you're interested in her and that you'd like to take her out on a date?" Emily tilts her head to the side and smiles at Al.
"Emily. Too early." Another classmate teases.
Al looks at me and then back at Emily and his other classmates.
"What are you talking about?" Al questions calmly.
I sit quietly without turning around to question what Emily mentioned. Al? Interested in me?
"Give it up Al, you were telling the guys and I about how you're looking for the right time to ask Reene out. So why not no-" Al cuts off his friend and stands up.
"Could you guys shut up?"
"Well Al, do you like her or not?" Emily speaks up and places her hand on her hip. I slowly turn to look up at Al awkwardly and stare at him without saying a word.
Emily then interrupts again and goes to sit in the seat in front of me, grabbing one of my hands and placing it in between her palms. Al just watches.
"Do you have a boyfriend Reene?" Emily stares.
"No, I've never had one. I mean no not right now." I scratch my head embarrassed for responding that way. Emily notices how uncomfortable I am and just continues on with her little plan.
"Okay so then, why don't you and Al get to know each other a little more and go on a date. Are you interested?"
"Emily." Al sighs and looks at me. I look back at him.
"Is all this true?" I ask.
"About me being interested, well, if I deny it they'll keep pressuring me, but I was going to ask you later on because I do want to take you out on a date, but you may think this is a little early." He nods and then looks up at Emily. "Especially because it's only the fourth week of school!"
"Hey! I did you a favor, it's better to get to know each other now." Emily responds and winks.
"I didn't expect all of this." I look up at Al standing beside me and clear my throat before turning to look at the rest of my classmates. "I feel a little...it's just, it feels like you're all pressuring me."
"Awe, I'm sorry Reene I didn't mean to make it fe-" Al cuts her off and sits down in his seat still facing me.
"And that's not fine with me, I'm sorry for, them. If you-" Al is then cut off by the classmates around us heading to their seats as the clock hits eight.
Our professor walks into the class and the rest of the students follow in quickly rushing to their seats.
"Let's just talk later." Al whispers to me and takes his laptop out. I pull my laptop out after him and face the front of the class.
Most of the lecture was spent taking notes without Al and I interacting. So he wants to take me on a date?
The professor finishes with closing remarks about the lab we're supposed to prepare for. I forgot to mention I'm in microbiology, it's a requirement course I forgot to take my Sophomore year, but it's not like I'm the only senior who has, the professor we have is difficult so several of my classmates have failed previously, and Al was one of them.
I close my laptop and put it in my bag before getting up from my seat and turning to look at Al who's gathering his things together.
"I'll think about it." I stare at him and then he turns to look up at me. But before he gets the chance to respond I wave and quickly rush off out of the class to head to my elective course, boxing.
"What'd she say?" Emily looks up at Al.
"I'm done telling you shit." Al gets up from his seat and shakes his head the entire time while walking off.
"Well don't, you asshole!" Emily scoffs and looks around at the rest of her classmates before grabbing her cup of iced tea and heads off.
I put my bookbag in my locker before getting dressed for boxing practice. After I'm all dressed and fix my hair into a low bun, I head to the gym and start my warm-up. As I'm stretching I am greeted by other students who pass by. While everyone else is warming up and stretching, our boxing coach walks in to tell all of us to follow him to the track field so we can begin running, it's a part of "building our endurance," as the coach likes to say.
We're running now. There are clouds forming in the sky and it's clear that a storm is about to happen soon.
"Keep running!" Our coach says.
"But Coach Marley, there's a thunderstorm brewing!" My classmate complained.
"And since when has a storm stopped us from training? It's only storming tonight." Coach Marley replied with a teasing chuckle following after.
We continued with our warm-up before heading back inside the gymnasium for practice. After my elective course, I went about my day doing whatever scholarly things you could think of, like studying at the library, which I normally do on a school day before heading home; I only work at the library from Friday to Sunday in case you were curious, I think I mentioned this already.
I find Al waiting for me in the parking lot behind the School of Business and greet him once I arrive.
"Ready to go home?" He asks.
"Of course I am. I get to sit in an apartment room and do work, ya'know since I'm majoring in science and we get a bunch of work to do...am I complaining?" I sigh. Al simply laughed at me and began walking off to the bus stop. I follow after him and walk by his side.
"Hey um, I've decided on something." I say.
"And what have you decided on ReeRee?" Al questions.
"ReeRee? Really?" He laughs. "That's a new one." I laugh along with him.
"Yeah, or how about Renny?" He continues teasing.
"Renny, no that's terrible." I joke. The bus arrives and we go on with several other students following after, scanning our passes before walking two empty seats closer to the front.
"Okay, I'll be serious now, just tell me what you've decided on." Al smiles and stares at me which only makes me become slightly flustered.
"I'd like to go on a date...with you." I look at him. He smiles even wider.
"Well, that's the answer I was looking forward to." Al replies.
"Really? Well I'm glad because I'm happy you asked me." I blush and look down at my lap. He stares at me and I can feel him smiling as if he's received the best news in his life.
"So, not to rush or anything but, how's tomorrow after your last class?" Al asks. I look up at him.
"Sounds good, I'll text you. We can go anywhere, don't do something crazy." I insist.
"Let me surprise you at least, it's our first date and I want to impress you. I've liked you for a while Reene, since our Junior year actually, I just admired you from afar, well not really far since we did have one class together. I hope I don't sound like I'm a stalker." He continues.
"You don't. But thank you for telling me that." I laugh.
We both stare at each other and exchange smiles.
The rest of the ride was spent talking about upcoming course assignments and surprisingly mentioning how he plans to get a pet snake. I'm looking forward to this date, now I just have to figure out what to wear with the help of my roommate.
Five, four, three, two...
Alarm goes off.
I quickly rush to turn my alarm off and smile happily while putting my shoes on.
"You're up already?" Imani slowly looks up from her side of the room.
"Yeah, I have to pick an outfit for my date this afternoon." I giggle and place two outfits down on my bed, staring at the two.
"Didn't I help you pick one last night?" Imani groans.
"Yes you did but, listen! I have to wear something comfortable. It's not too hot outside today since it stormed last night."
"You sure are excited for this date with Al huh?" Imani teases.
"Well of course I am, it's my first date in years." I smile.
"You mean your first date ever? Reene, you've never dated before, do you know exactly what a date i-?" Imani asks, but I interrupt before she can finish.
"Don't say that, that's a little insulting, I know about dating, just read books and watch movies. A first date shouldn't be that hard. I mean movies overdue it sometimes and my expectations might be high, but I'll be fine, plus I know Al, he's not a complete stranger." I responded. Imani doesn't answer and I assume she fell back asleep, it's early anyway and I'm ready to head to class, I just need to pack myself a bag of clothes and shoes to change into. Once I finally finish gathering my things after an hour of digging in my closet and eating a nice breakfast I made for myself, finally, I head out to the bus stop where I meet with Al.
"Good morning Reene." He waves at me. I wave back.
"Good morning Al." We both smile at each other as we wait for the bus.
Today has been going well, the weather is nice, it's not too hot or cold, and I have a feeling my date with Al is going to be great. Maybe, I'm a little too excited. I head to my second class of the day after study hall, Anatomy. It's only 2:30 PM and I'm already eager for my last class. As I enter the classroom, I walk to the fourth row and take a seat next to the window like usual. I see my lecturer walk in with the rest of the students, he's always punctual, like me.
Twenty-five minutes into the lecture and I have to use the restroom. I wait for my professor to finish presenting his last few slides before giving us our five-minute break and get up from my seat rushing past my classmates and out to the restroom.
I walk out of the restroom stall and notice that no one else is in here, at least from how quiet it was. While washing my hands I hear a small rumble, assuming it's thunder I turn the sink off and dry my hands under the hand dryer. The rumbling continues and now the ground is shaking. I look around confused as to what is happening and decide to head back to class in case it was an earthquake beginning to happen. It's not like we've had earthquakes before. Once I'm in the classroom I can see my classmates and professor frantically looking out of the windows. I make it to my seat and ask my seat partner what's going on.
"We don't know, we just started hearing loud bangs, but since you came back into the class it sto-" And that's when my classmate was interrupted by the blaring alarm soaring throughout the hallway and our classroom.
This is not a drill, please move to the nearest exit in an orderly fashion. Do not take the elevators and use the closest staircase.
"Everyone, get your things now!" My professor shouts.
"What's going on?" I say while I put my laptop in my bookbag and quickly rush towards the exit with my seat partner.
"I don't know?"
"Professor Hems!" I shout. "What's happening?" By now the rest of my classmates are running out to leave.
"Reene, I don't have time for questions, if the alarm goes off, it clearly means we're in a state of emergency, now go out and follow your peers."
"But Professor Hems, they didn't give us directions on where to go?" I continue.
"Reene, stop pestering me about it and just go take care of yourself, we're all adults here aren't we?" He shouts before grabbing his handbag and rushes out. My seat partner already left me and I walk out after following the panicked crowd of students walking down the hallway. I take my phone out to text Al.
Reene: Al, where are you? I'll meet you outside!
Al: *few seconds later* I'm outside in the courtyard, where are you?
Reene: I can see you, I'm in the hallway of the Science build-
But before I could finish my text message I find myself being shoved and my phone falls to the floor of the hallway, I look around panicking to find it and hear loud screams from the students further upfront. Suddenly, an explosion occurs, and I'm laying on the opposite side of the hall where the students were yelling, my ears are ringing and I wipe the dust off of my face before someone helps me up.
"Hurry! We have to get out of here!" They tell me and I'm still in a daze, confused, with muffled hearing. They push me to come back to my senses and I nod slowly before I start running the other way with the rest of the students who are terrified. All I hear are blasts from the other side of the building. I stumble across a staircase and turn to look at the students who are still running down the hall.
"There's a staircase-" I cough, I feel winded. I decide to go into the staircase myself and rush down the stairs as fast as I can but end up falling down roughly and sob.
"Al!" I cry out. Once I'm able to stand up again, I open the door to exit the staircase to the outside courtyard and try my best to scream out for Al. I continue walking towards the middle where there are students gathering closer to the center while a rescue helicopter is approaching. What's happening? I ask myself.
"Al!" I finally shout, my throat dry from the dust I received from the explosion in front of me.
Before I could make it to the center of the courtyard the helicopter is shot down and starts to spin out of control, heading down fast towards the center where all the students scream, beginning to run, I see Al.
Al sees me and starts running my way.
"Reene!" He shouts and it's not a second until the helicopter completely explodes from whatever it was shot with and I am thrown back onto the ground near some bushes.
I start crying and push myself up, my leg is injured but the wound isn't bad, or at least I think so. My only concern is Al. Where is he? I manage to stand up and look around at the middle of the courtyard in flames, students and staff are everywhere, screaming and hollering, and here I am. Staring at the bodies that lay in front of my eyes. I was at a loss for words. I came to the realization that Al might be one of the bodies laying on the ground and started to jog my way forward to look for Al, ignoring the scorching heat from the fire that erupted near me from the crash. I only cried even more and the tears blurred my vision.
"Al!" I screamed, my voice being raspy, I found him lying lifeless near a bench, terribly injured by burns and metal scrapes. "Al!"
There was nothing else I could say as I sobbed near his body. "Al..." I shouted and grabbed his face carefully in my hands. "Al..." I repeated. I looked around and sniffed, wishing I were dead as well.
"I'm sorry Al." I held his hand and left a soft kiss before standing up carefully. There was one person I had close to me, Imani. I couldn't die here.
The explosions continued and I managed to leave the science building only to find my world crashing down, the entire campus was in disarray and I began hyperventilating from the destruction occurring around me. I started running down the sidewalk and saw something in the sky flying towards me, I widened my eyes and started running as fast as I could and hid behind a parked truck. It was not flying towards me but towards the building, I stood in front of. It didn't take long for the explosion to happen and I felt as if I were being tormented, my hearing was still muffled.
I began running down the street now and cried for help, little did I know, behind me, there were buildings beginning to crumble and fall down. I felt the ground shake as I continued running and thought I was going to die at this very moment. There was so much going on and civilians scrambling to find shelter. I didn't know what else to do other than run away from the mess to hopefully find some peace away from the west side of the city back at my apartment. I could only hope that Imani was okay.
After running for what felt like forever, I got to my apartment and could still hear the rumbling in the distance. I rush into the building covered in dust and ashes, looking to the front desk where I see our landlord, Daughtry.
"What the hell happened to you?" He questions.
"We have to get out of here!" I shouted, my hearing muffled only caused him to flinch from my loudness. I start scrambling up the stairs and slammed on my apartment door begging for Imani to answer, just hoping that she was there.
She was.
"Imani, oh God!" I quickly hugged her and sobbed into her arms, letting out several coughs.
"Reene!? What's going on? Are you okay? Why are you covered in so much-? Oh my gosh, you're hurt, your leg!" Imani replied before letting me go.
"We have no time, we have to pack up!" I look out the window panicking. I was just thankful that whatever was happening in the west side of our city hasn't gotten near just yet. I wasn't sure if it would come where we are, away from the west, I was just so scared that I wanted to get Imani and go.
"Reene, slow down, what is going on? Why do you want us to pack up?" She stood and watched me empty my backpack out on my bed.
"Imani, can you not ask me questions right now, we don't have the time, I'm telling you to just pack up and trust me, please!" I sob and continue to gather whatever I need. I can feel Imani stare at me for a moment before hearing her go to grab her own things.
"Fine, just explain later, you're freaking me out. What do you need me to pack?" Imani asks.
"Food, uh, clothes, anything important."
We both finished packing and I shove the small teddy bear that my mother gave me into my backpack, tearing up once more. The rumbles start getting louder and I look to Imani.
"Let's go." I rush to the door and exit with her seeing our neighbors out in the hall confused at all the noise going on outside. I become even more anxious.
"Hey Reene, you know what's goin' on? Daughtry said you just came back running in the building."
"I uh, I just-"
"Look at her, she's covered in dirt! What's happening out there?"
"Come on, tell us already, what's the matter!?"
"We're under attack and I just came back from my university, someone is attacking us. I don't know, okay, please I'm trying to go." I shout and I grab Imani's hand quickly rushing to the stairwell, running down to the lobby, and encountering our landlord, Daughtry.
"Reene, could you please tell me what's your problem?"
I stop in my tracks and look at Imani who is fearful and concerned with my behavior.
"We're being bombed! I have no idea what's going on, but if we stay here any longer, we're going to end up dead! Daughtry, please just get to safety I beg of you, get everyone to safety, there should be a shelter nearby" I shout. I'm so afraid right now.
"Reene, what are you talking about!?" Imani screams at me while we leave our baffled landlord behind.
"Imani! We're going to die if we stay here!" I cry out.
"Reene! You're scaring me!" Imani continues as she walks by my side.
"How come none of this is being reported right now?!" She continues.
"How the hell would I know!? Who knows what the government might be doing, they could be doing this to us. Can we just find the shelter first, before we discuss this." I said to her. She nods and we start to pick up the pace, both of us fearful of what could happen next.
It was only a few minutes later until we heard the Air Raid Siren go off. Imani and I looked at each other and began running even faster.
"At times like this I wish I never sold my damn car!" Imani yells. We hear loud bangs from a distance behind us. I turn to look while holding Imani's hand as we run further down the sidewalk.
The sound of screams could be heard from far away.
Suddenly, we find ourselves plunging to the ground when a tall building begins falling down behind us a block away, cars are crashing into one another and civilians continue to panic. Imani screams and looks at me.
"What the fuck!" She shouts.
We both get up and continued running as fast as we could, hoping to find the safety of the fallout shelter.
A big van drives past us and the two doors open from behind with two people reaching their hands out.
"Grab on!" One of them yells. I could tell Imani was in much of a daze as I was. I look to Imani and then turn to look behind us, the city was in complete ruins, what else do we have left?
"Imani go first!" The van slows down for us.
"What? Are you kidding!? We don't know who these people are?" She yells at me.
"Just get the fuck in! The buildings are gonna keep crashing down, we're not fast enough and I'm getting exhausted!" I shout back.
Imani looks to the people reaching out to help her in and grabs onto their hands before getting yanked into the van. I follow after and fall back when the two who helped us shut the back doors and yell for the driver to speed off. It looks as if we're not the only two that have been rescued. There are three others who are completely covered in the same crap as me. Imani and I carefully fixed our positions and placed our backpacks on our laps. One of the rescuers grabbed both of our bags and gave them to their partner.
"Hey! Give us our shit back." Imani raised her voice as the van made a sharp turn causing us to slam against the van's wall.
"They're just checking if you have any weapons." Another person in the van speaks up.
"Why would we have weapons?" Imani asks.
"Consider yourselves lucky, because where we're going is an escape from this hell." The rescuer chuckled and looked at their partner.
"What? I thought you were taking us to the nearest shelter!?" I questioned furiously.
"That little shelter of yours? Isn't a shelter, that's a fake shelter sweetheart, the real shelters are closer to the wealthier areas of the capital." The rescuer answered.
"What!?" I ask. The rest of us in the van shifted roughly when the van came to an abrupt stop.
The rescuer opened the back door and looked around to see the driver and another passenger who seemed to be upfront as well as several others who were masked up.
"Alright pussies, let's get y'all inside!" One of them said. We then had someone take everyone's belongings and then were pulled out of the van. Imani tried to break out of one of the rescuers' grips but eventually gave in.
"Where are you taking us!?" Imani screamed.
"One of the safest places you can be in right now, now shut your goddamn trap!" An elder man shouted while looking around and keeping "watch."
Once we were inside the shelter, we were handcuffed and had blindfolds wrapped around us. All we heard from further in the shelter were the continued explosions and the ongoing ring of the Air Raid Siren. I could hear laughter around me as if the rescuers were laughing at us. We were sitting on a cold concrete floor as I moved my bonded hands around behind me, trying to feel for my surroundings. I could feel Imani sitting next to me and decided to check if she was alright.
"Imani, are you okay?" I sniff.
"No, just leave me alone. All I can think about are my parents. I hope they're okay." She sounded afraid.
"I'm sure they are, our parents work for the government and...you heard it from the rescuers, the real shelters are near the wealthier regions, so they have to be okay." I reassure.
"How could you just blatantly trust these fucks? Look at us right now, blindfolded and handcuffed. How do you know if we weren't kidnapped?" She replies angrily.
"Oh piss off, if we didn't get in that van we'd be dead, I did you a favor by saving your ass."
"Oh really, now you gettin' disrespectful?" She replies.
"Can we not do this right now-" I get interrupted by one of the rescuers.
"You two, cut it out will ya'?" The rescuer sounds like they are wearing boots as they approach us slowly and I could feel them bend down in front of us. Their breath reeks of canned beans.
"Tomorrow morning, we'll be traveling out of here by plane to California. You'll get your answers there."
"What? Why are we going to California?" Imani speaks up.
"You both have received an opportunity that you simply can't leave from anymore. We rescued you both, you both deserve to know the truth, not living in this shit hole of a capital. Now don't ask anymore questions, you'll learn when we arrive. I suggest getting rest now, it's going to be a while." The elder sits still, quietly, for a moment, before I feel their presence move away, leaving Imani and me to question, what exactly did I bring us into?
"Keep it moving!" The familiar voice that spoke to us before shouted as we were pulled forward. Still blindfolded but no longer handcuffed. I could try to escape if I wanted but I had a feeling these people were armed.
"Where are we going?" Someone asks from behind me.
"You'll see." Another person answered.
We finally come to a stop and I hear a large slam from beside, possibly a large door. The person who was holding my arms from behind removed my blindfold and I slowly adjusted to the bright lights of the room we were in. I looked to my side and saw Imani, thankfully. I couldn't make out my surroundings that well, my eyes were covered for hours and I could feel a tension headache starting. It appears that we're in some large facility meant for planes of some sort, I could see a large platform from above and notice several people walking forward.
"Where the hell are we?" Imani whispers.
"I'm wondering the same, looks like we're not the only people they took in." I respond, looking around at the many people like us, confused. There are only a few of us covered in dust and ashes as I am.
"Quiet down!" One of the individuals on the platform says, trying to calm the murmuring crowd below.
"Welcome to XL, you're new home." They introduce themselves.
"My name is Crystal, I am sure you are all wondering why you're here, and some of you already know why. We are an organization of rebels and saviors. We have sheltered you for the time being. Each and every one of you are special to us."
"What are they on about?" Imani whispers to me.
"Shh..." I hush her.
"For those who are unfamiliar with who we are, we will group you up into what we call the Change. You will learn exactly what we represent and eventually, become something greater." Crystal looks down at me, or from where I'm standing it feels like her eyes are staring beaming into mine.
"Organize them." She says. And then the platform leaders, what I'll call them for now, turned and walked away.
We were then shoved around by those who took our blindfolds off, separating everyone into groups.
"Could you loosen your fucking grip on me?" Imani glares at the woman pushing her forward. The woman simply smirks.
Crystal made her way up to us with a few of what I believe are her personal guards. I gulp and look at Imani. We're all grouped up with a bunch of other newcomers. Crystal walks up in front of me and smiles.
"What is your name?"
"Me? Oh um, Reene." I reply.
"You're full name young lady."
"Don't tell-" Imani urges.
"Reene Kingsley." I say sternly and stare at Crystal. Imani shakes her head.
"Well Reene Kingsley, welcome to the Change."

ETHEREAL LOOKING KOREAN ACTORS
We know of K-industry and beauty. However the uncommon beauty comes form K-starts who look like they were moulded by non-earth beings. These K-Stars make you question any normal creation, because they are not made from this earth, nor belong to this earth… They are just… Lee Dong Wook We cannot believe this man is human.
