Theme Songs

Uchi Tama!? ~ Uchi no Tama Shirimasen ka?~ will feature a new ending theme song every week, which will be performed by at least one of the show’s cast members. The first closing theme, Hidamari o Sagashite will be performed by lead actor Sōma Saitō.

Tama & Friends Character Franchise Gets New TV Anime Uchitama?! in January 2020

Uchitama?! ~ Uchi no Tama Shirimasen ka?~, a new TV anime series inspired by Sony Creative Products' Tama & Friends character franchise is set to premiere on Fuji TV's Noitamina programming block in January 2020. The anime's official website and Twitter also opened with a teaser visual featuring its two main characters, Tama and Pochi.

  The franchise using various types of cat and dog character illustrations was originally launched in 1983, and has been adapted into manga, stage plays, novels, picture books, and anime. Unlike the previous anime, Uchitama?! features anthropomorphized characters based on the franchise's main cats and dogs.

    Kiyoshi Matsuda (Kumamiko, Kakeguruixx) serves as director, alongside series composition writer Kimiko Ueno (The Royal Tutor), Mai Otsuka (Shakugan no Shana, Non Non Biyori), and soundtrack composer Tom-H@ck (Haganai, Encouragement of Climbing). MAPPA and Lapintrack co-work on anime production.
