Sauna Klaus x Dave

Umbrella Academy smut 🍑🥵

Author’s Note: So, the other day, my husband told me about our town’s gay sauna and how there was a whole documentary about it. I didn’t ask him how he knew all this, but I did watch the documentary.

Anyway, then this happened.

All my other WIPs (Dead Sexy, Chained and High Altitude) are still ongoing and new chapters for each are coming soon - I just really needed to get this smut out of my system. (I’m sorry!)

Summary:

Dave goes to the sauna for the first time.

It goes… very well.

Snippet from Sauna:

He is beautiful - but not in the way a man is usually beautiful - in the way the Grand Canyon is beautiful. An awe-inspiring, breath-taking, all-encompassing beauty. His cheekbones and jawline are razor-sharp, his eyebrows thick and expressive, his eyelashes long, his goatee finely manicured, framing a wide, warm smile. He is so radiant, he’s almost painful to look at. Like the sun.

“Wow, you’re…”

“Invading your space, I know. I hope you don’t mind - I just have this damn tricky shoulder, I’m hoping the heat will help to loosen it up.” The man massages the top of his arm for emphasis.

Fuck, his arms are beautiful too.

Dave shakes his head “No, no, that’s fine.” He doesn’t really know what to do here, he’s been thrown off by that face, those eyes, those arms.

He panics and sticks out his hand. “I’m Dave, by the way.”

The man looks down at the proffered hand as if Dave just offered him a rubber chicken. Instantly, Dave realises his mistake; he has forgotten the primary purpose of places like these - anonymity.

A bemused smile crosses the man’s face, the kind one reserves for the quaint idiosyncrasies of a foreign tourist.

“A names guy, hey?”

It’s like Dave has suggested some new, weird kink and he’s deciding whether to go for it or not.

“Okay, then. I’m Klaus.” Klaus takes Dave’s hand and gives it a hearty shake. “Pleased to make your acquaintance.”

Umbrella Academy Season 4 Thoughts and Theories

I agree with @eddie-dxaz‘s theory that Allison is dead. To summarize, Allison is in the afterlife, which has taken on her form of heaven. Once the siblings realize that, Klaus will attempt to resurrect her (the question is, will she even want to be resurrected?- I kind of doubt it).

Since Klaus hasn’t fully reached this ability, he will spend the season focused on that.

I’ve already seen people theorizing that next season will be his ‘crazy’ season (after Luther, Diego, and Allison). I think his obsession will be attempting to master the power of resurrection- specifically in order to resurrect Dave as well as Allison. People have already pointed out that each season, a character’s obsession stems from trauma and attempting (sometimes) to work through it. Dave & Klaus’ time in Vietnam is a pretttyy big source of trauma (not to mention his most recent source of trauma through betrayal thanks to Reggie). We’ve already seen that his tattoos have disappeared- they were special to him so that could potentially cause a crisis for sure.

The Ben on the train is Umbrella Ben- the Umbrellas AND the Sparrows should exist in the reset timeline. Not to mention, what’s the point in including that as an end credit scene if it is in fact Sparrow Ben? It didn’t serve much purpose beyond showing him, and we already know that Sparrow Ben is alive and with them in that timeline.

Speaking of the Sparrows, since they (presumably) existed in the original timeline (just not the Sparrow Academy) they’ll also exist in this timeline. They just won’t recognize any of the Umbrella Academy members. I imagine this will cause a bit of a crisis for Ben, as we’ve already seen how he bases so much of his self identity on the Sparrow Academy.

Luther of course, will be searching for Sloane- we have no idea what her life is like in this timeline, so that plotline could take several forms.

Diego and Lila, of course, will be starting a family.

And (obviously) the main focus of the season will be on taking down Hargreeves. I think next season has the potential to be a great one, especially now that they’re moving away from the apocalypses plotline. That repetition hasn’t bothered me too much yet just because of how creative the show is in other ways, but regardless I’m glad they’re moving on to a strong villainous presence. This will be an incredibly difficult and personal fight for all of the Hargreeves, and Colm Feore is an fantastic villain, so personally, I can’t wait for season 4.

An Umbrella Academy AU feat. Pathologist!Dave + MorgueRegular!Klaus

A/N: Yo! This fic just hit 50 subscribers so I figured I should probably update it. 😬 Apologies for being the world’s slowest writer. I humbly offer this chapter as restitution for my tardiness. If you like it, please leave me a comment. If you don’t, well, just keep that shit to yourself. 😘

Summary: Dave is a pathologist working at the city morgue. And Klaus… well, Klaus just keeps turning up.

Snippet from Chapter 4:

It sometimes takes a little while to rouse him. A breakfast burrito waved under his nose (Dave has started buying an extra one during his Monday morning commute) normally does the trick.

But then eventually Klaus’ eyes will blink awake and he’ll be back on the mortal plane; yawning, stretching, scratching and subjecting Dave to more of his incorrigible flirting.

It’s strange, really, how quickly they’ve fallen into a kind of routine.

Klaus exhausts the supply of wearable items amid the sparse and ancient offerings of the lost and found box during his first few visits. Dave invests in a multipack of cheap white t-shirts and picks up a dozen pairs of sweatpants and some worn shoes from goodwill so that he can at least provide Klaus with something halfway decent to walk home in.

Not that Klaus always turns up naked; he doesn’t. Sometimes Dave will unzip the bag to find the guy still wearing the outfit in which he met his end: a leather gimp suit with straws poking through the nostril-holes (breathplay accident at an orgy), rainbow ice skates (pond not fully frozen), purple parachute pants (parachute not included).

The more Dave learns about Klaus, the more of a mystery he becomes. He doesn’t appear to have a permanent address, but then never seems to be strictly homeless either. Klaus apparently exists in a perpetual state of couch surfing and bed-hopping - without any shortage of couches to surf and beds to hop into.

Klaus’ sexual exploits are one of his favourite topics, the stories all delivered with a nonchalant hand wave but punctuated with a knowing glimmer of the eyes, as if told purely for Dave’s benefit.

Dave would never admit that he occasionally feels the prickly fangs of something green-eyed when Klaus is sat cross-legged on the autopsy table, delivering yet another tale of naked debauchery. But he does sometimes give Klaus the smaller burrito as a form of punishment.

(…) David is always speaking to me with complete honesty. About his feelings, about Brian, about his vision of the world. What he admits to himself, anyway. I know he stayed outside precisely to talk to me about this. But this time I'm certainly shaking more than I should.

"It wasn't very smart to take Brian's seat," I whisper almost to myself, and to be honest, David isn't really listening to me. "He told me all sorts of things about the army, about the possibility of me enlisting, about what… might be happening in Southeast Asia in the next few years…"

He stretches out his oversized legs on the sidewalk. "Probably an anti-militarist who preached against the war. The enlistment office is three doors down from Stadler's." My eyes squint a little painfully. "Is that your saying, or is it Brian's?" He holds his breath for a moment, then lets it go. He'ss aware I know him well, by now. "It's Brian's." And before I'm tempted to hold back, I ask him: "And what do ~you~ think?"

As a customer enters the hardware store and Brian's voice of greeting is heard in the background, he looks up at the sky in his turn - for quite a while - but I give him all the time he needs to talk.

"That my enlistment is not a question that can still be doubted". "I was talking about the guy".

At my words, I see David's fingers tighten on the glass of his Coke bottle. He hadn't expected me to ask that, and he flinches in a way that might have made me smile if I hadn't been so sad now. Now that I can distinctly percieve the energy inside people, I can sense clearly the attraction that - he - will choose to ignore. And I clarify right away, to avoid any confusion that would disturb him even more:

"Do you think he was really a peacenik?" "Oh," he sighs with relief. "I don't know about that." Eventually, he brings the straw to his lips and drinks the entire contents in one gulp. "I suppose peaceniks don't say they love you."
