König x reader / Ghost x reader headcanons
              When they are sick.
König
● You were a little embarrassed when you thought about how "sick Koenig" is one of your favorite sides of him.
● He becomes like a toddler.
● If it's just the two of you, he becomes like a big whiny lump, demanding affection and attention.
● However, if there are other people around, he tries to hide his illness. he does not let others see his weakness. You are the one exception.
● He would make those adorable puppy dog eyes, asking you to make him chicken soup.
●  König would ask you to hold his hand, but just a little, he doesn't want you to get sick.
● Even though he wants your love madly, he's embarrassed to look too pathetic or spoiled.
● He knows you see him as a protector. Big and strong.
● So if possible, he tries to take care of himself, unless his symptoms are serious.
● You ask him to go to bed and let you take care of him.
● You want to put a special ointment on his chest. He blushes a lot and it's not because of the fever. His voice trembles a little when he asks you not to stop.
● After this gesture of his, König suddenly says that he feels worse (but you see that this is not true) and he will ask you to be with him longer. Maybe you will put that ointment on him again.
Ghost.
●  He's a tough guy.
● Too cool to admit he has a fever.
●  He'll never let you know he's sick.
●  Sickness is a weakness and he doesn't want anyone to know about it.
●  However, he will suddenly begin to shun you.
●  Ghost will keep his distance between you and avoid kissing you.
●  He is very worried that you might get sick.
●  You will have to make him sit in a chair so that you can take his temperature.
●  He will refuse for a long time and eventually give in only after you sweetly pout and frown your eyebrows. He loved that look on your face.
●  He goes to work anyway.
●  Ghost won't let you take care of him.
●  After all, he's supposed to take care of you, not the other way around.
●  You convince him that he doesn't.
●  In fact, he likes the way you take care of him.
●  He's still not used to feeling loved and every time you bring your hands to his sweaty and pale face he can't keep his body from trembling with pleasure.
●  After he recovers, he won't let you talk about it, because he's back on track.
●  You giggle kissing his cheek: "Of course, my cold-blooded protector."
In the next part, you're going to be sick and they're going to take care of you.
My Ao3 🖤

Daily update post:
Yesterday, a suicide drone crashed in the Golan Heights. The IDF estimates that it was launched from Syria (though earlier, there was an Iranian funded militia in Iraq that claimed responsibility for firing at a target in the Golan Heights). the alarm didn't go off, and it wasn't intercepted, which is a reminder that no warning and defence system, not even the best one, is impenetrable. There was then a wave of sirens going off through Israel's north, likely because of debris from the interception, falling on different commeunities.
Today, another attack drone was intercepted over Israel's north. Over the area where my paternal grandparents lived, when they were still with us. Thankfully, there are no known injuries, but on top of that, there were no less than five more warnings of a drone crossing into Israel. If there will be no diplomatic solution for the situation in the north, meaning if the world doesn't intervene and FINALLY implement UN resolution 1701, which says that Hezbollah will not operate next to the Israeli border, or anywhere south of the Litani river, then things will get worse. One Israeli Aramean expert I was listening to, was talking about how much ammunition, and how many weapons, Hezbollah has aimed at Israel. Let's put it this way, they make Hamas look like kids.
Three more soldiers were killed in Gaza yesterday. We get news like this every single day now. Usually we get the names once or twice a day (morning and evening), depending on how many have died. You see people tense up around the time when the news is about to drop. I wanted to share with you that Israeli civilians have starting doing something so often, that it's almost like a new custom. When people learn about where a funeral will be held, they stand by the sides of the road with Israeli flags, to escrot the fallen soldier on his or her last journey, even when they didn't know the soldier at all.

I wrote a whole post about why Oct 7, despite all of the differences, and the fact that there is no comparison, bears similarities for Jewish people to the Holocaust. I was reminded of that post again today. I saw a vid with Holocaust survivor and famous Israeli actress, Lea Koenig. Knowing of her history, when I heard the start of her testimony, I was sure I was listening to her recounting her experiences during the Hoolocaust. It turns out that no, she's reading a testimony from Oct 7. The fact that some of these testimonies are indistinguishable should explain why the massacre, shocking as it is all on its own, is also deeply triggering for Jews. Here's the vid:

Australia says it will look into whether an Australian citizen who was killed in an Israeli counter strike in Lebanon yesterday, was a Hezbollah terrorist, as the organization claims. If he was, then fighting for a terrorist organization (as Hezbollah is defined in Australia) is a criminal offense under Australian law.
The IDF has destroyed a whole network of terror tunnels underneath the Rantisi hospital in Gaza. It says the length of the tunnels is several kilometers. Reminder: it's a war crime to build a terror tunnel underneath a hospital. It is NOT a war crime, to act against the terror tunnel used to attack a country's innocent civilians, even if it is built underneath a hospital.

This is 19 years old Agam Berger.
Tumblr media
On Oct 7, she was kidnapped to Gaza. Her family identified her in a vid posted by Hamas, as she was being led away, handcuffed, and with blood stains on her pyjama pants (left side of the pic). Her father said that as released hostages talked about sexual abuse, Agam's family are terrified for her. He also wanted people to know that she was a gifted violinist, and used to volunteer with people who have special needs. So, in accordance with his wishes, here is Agam playing Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah on violin:

Hello! I'm doing good, thank you for asking, and I hope you're doing well too! The holidays are a lovely time of year, and I am always happy to see snow :)
Let's see what I can whip up for you! Fair warning, I do not remember much from my German lessons in school 😉 As always, thank you for requesting!
Tumblr media
𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭. König x Reader
Summary: You're picked for a joint mission alongside KorTec, for what reason, you do not know. You don't like being kept in the dark, but you do like being in the company of a tall Austrian. Keywords: First meeting, reader is military and a sniper, a damn good one at that, reader's callsign is "Cipher". Wordcount: 1254
Translation Notes: "It was good working with you, let's stay in contact?"
Tumblr media
You’re sitting in a truck bound for base. From there, you’ll take a helicopter to what can only be described as copious reports and questioning. You, alongside two others from your unit, were handpicked for a joint mission alongside KorTec. You'd received no explanation as to why you were operating with contractors, nor were you in any position to question it. It’s all been very off the grid from what you’ve been able to piece together.
König is leaning back in his seat, strong arms folded over his chest as he sits in stoic silence. Not that there was much to talk about—none of you in this vehicle are friends. The mission is over, accomplished, and no one wants to waste energy trying to talk over the loud volume of the engine.
Your attention, once more, falls to König (as it often has), and you’re suddenly reminded of something he said to you two days ago. Two days ago when you were squatting in a make-do sniper’s nest of your own making. Comms were silent. You were waiting. Trained eyes monitoring the area with a hawk’s precision, breath steady, scope steadier.
“Cipher, how copy?”
Your earpiece buzzes to life with a subdued voice, almost calming in its softness. König, you think. King.
“Solid copy. I’m eyes on. Whenever you’re ready,” you respond, voice unwavering as you trail the head of your target through the scope—one of them, anyway. You’ve been sitting in this nest for hours. Even just the possibility that you could finally get some action, spurs your heart to life.
“Breacher up, König take point.” A third voice joins, one that you can pinpoint belongs to Zero. “Cipher, dispatch the guards and keep us updated on movement. We’re going in.”
“Understood. Bullet drop in three, two… one.” Your first target is down, and the second soon follows. You don’t need to watch the entrance to hear the door being kicked down. It’s not your business, anyway, you and your scope have other matters to attend to. You meticulously comb over the outside with an assassin’s precision, eventually letting another body join the first two. A fourth, a fifth. The ruckus from the door caused alertness, but thankfully, you’re an expert in clean-ups, and no actual alarm manages to sound.
You have no eyes on the inside with the exception of the vague talking keeping you updated over comms. It’s one of the downsides of being appointed to sniper duty, but the fact that you’re outside alone means that your skills speak for themselves. They trust you. For now.
“You could become a contractor for KorTac, Cipher.”
You’re not certain what prompted this, but it has remained in your mind ever since.
When you confronted him after the takeover, König seemed surprised that you managed to hear him amidst the chaos over comms. Nobody else did. What followed was a conversation that ranged from his fascination with your speciality—being a sniper—to his own attempt at becoming one, only to be denied. He asked about your experience in the military, and you compared notches on your weapons. The conversation carried on, and part of you wished the pickup would be delayed just so you could continue talking with him. He offered you a müsli bar, which you accepted, and he purposefully shielded you from the ceiling light when you wanted to rest your eyes. You hadn’t asked, but he did it anyway, and it made you feel appreciated. You got the impression that he was often dismissed by others. Either due to his height or his silent demeanour, but once you got him talking, he could talk even the best conversationalist in circles. That’s what it felt like.
Your knee knocked against his thigh as you laughed at one of his jokes. You were sitting side by side. He’s funny. Time passed, and when pickup arrived, he offered you a hand to help you up. You smiled, eyes locked on him as you took his hand in your own. “Much appreciated, König.” You spoke your words slow and deliberately, his name rolling off your tongue with meaning.
His eyes widened.
As you’re pulled to your feet, König’s hand steadies you by the waist, large palm coming to grip your hip bone, and you seize the opportunity to heavily lean against him—testing the waters, so to speak. Your hand stretched open across his broad chest, and you hear him swallow a breath, eyes still wide, but his attention is solely focused on you. He’s not looking away.
The truck comes to an abrupt halt, and you’re shaken out of your memories.
All good things must come to an end, you think as you all pile out of the vehicle. Most contractors scatter as soon as their boots hit the ground, and part of you finds it rude, but you’re too tired to be a good example. There’s really only one person you’re interested in saying farewells too, anyway.
He seems to have the same ideas as you, cause he lingers near the exit of the truck, seemingly in no hurry to disappear like the rest of his team. Was he waiting for me?
“König,” you say, attempting a light tone despite your exhaustion.
You offer your hand for a shake, shoulders squared as you flash the man your best smile. While not a focus of your military duty, you’ve been trained to value diplomacy in missions requiring cooperation… Nevermind your personal interest in the soldier before you.
König briefly glances at your hand, but you needn’t wait long before his larger palm grips yours in a firm shake.
Right, you should say something. You’ve been practising for this. Sort of. The German dictionary you found discarded in one of the bunkers was not ideal, but you believe you have managed to form some sort of coherent sentence. It’ll be smooth, you think—you hope. You clear your throat.
“Es war sehr schön mit dir zusammen zu arbeiten, lass uns in Kontakt bleiben?"
A pregnant pause fills the air between you.
Fuck.
You said it wrong. There’s no other explanation. Lord knows your accent was probably all over the place, not to mention the grammar itself. He probably speaks with an Austrian dialect, of course he does, which makes your bastardised German all the more silly to his ears. Great job.
Your hands are still firmly locked together, your grip more feeble than König’s. He might as well be holding your hand hostage with how weak your hold is. A part of you is thankful he is holding you steady, but another part of you wants to slink into the helicopter, the sound of your clown shoes echoing behind you for all to hear.
When you think all is lost, you feel him squeeze your hand. Not roughly, but enough to send a shiver down your spine. He leans down, just a tad—his tall body still towering over you—allowing you a better view of his eyes. Those expressive eyes of his are squinting pleasantly, almost mischievously. He is smiling, you know he is. It makes your heart skip a beat.
“...it was cute that you tried.”
Doublefuck… you are so into this man.
A mild-mannered chuckle breaks your thoughts. It’s not a boisterous sound by any means, but it echoes in your ears anyway, rattling your skull. It’s a beautiful sound. Genuine. Personal. Just meant for the two of you. With your cheeks flushed, you await with bated breath.
“Jo, eh. Let us stay in touch, Cipher.”

The sun cast its golden hues through the windows, enveloping the room in an embrace of sunbeams and warm hues, you sat on the couch, your fingers dancing across the pages of a book, lost in a world of evenly typed words and letters.
Your thoughts often returned to König, who recently finally returned from an intense mission to your home, his absence left a void in your heart, a void that was about to be filled.
Minutes passed and you couldn't help but think about him, he went to the grocery store a few hours ago with a fleeting promise to be back soon, so you looked at your watch, your mind wandered and thought about what he could do for such a long time there, maybe perhaps he was carefully selecting the ingredients for some special dinner, or perhaps he was taking his time to enjoy the newfound peace of home, finally arriving in a familiar city after a long absence.
Time passed imperceptibly every minute under the quiet ticking of the wall clock, the aroma of hearty stew that had just boiled on the stove was carried through the air, testifying to your culinary skills, which you had previously vented into preparing a delicious dinner.
The soft hum of a song played softly in the background, its soothing melody perfectly complementing the running of your thoughts in your head, for a moment you even thought about calling him, but the expectation of his return eventually kept you from reaching for the phone, instead, you focused on your book, letting the lines take your head in a whirlwind of imagination.
As soon as you began to lose yourself in the charm of the book story, the front door creaked open, attracting your attention and instantly making your heart flutter as you caught your eye on the wide figure of Koenig who entered, which instantly filled the entire space with an aura of comfort.
A smile spread across your lips and you put the book aside, your curiosity piqued by the sight of the black fluffy ball in his hands which he hid in the fabric of his sniper hood for the obvious purpose of warming what he was holding, even forgetting his own comfort.
— «Welcome home!»
you greeted him tenderly, your voice is a gentle melody that seemed to dance, penetrating his ears, and you would have rushed into his arms long ago, if not for something unknown in his hands
— «What do you have there?»
König's eyes gleamed with mischief as he approached you, carefully cradling the mysterious bundle of a fluffy wad of dark fur.
— «I stumbled upon something on the way back» he responded and curled his lips into a playful smirk.
You leaned forward, your curiosity growing with his each step closer to you, until he showed the contents of his hands, which made your heart skip a beat, a tiny black kitten nestled in the safety of his strong arms, its fur was as dark as midnight the sky, his round, curious eyes staring at you as his little nose twitched in curiosity and trying to catch a scent.
— «Oh my god» you exhaled sharply, your heart literally melted from the charming sight of your big boyfriend and the delicate lump in his hands
— «Where did you find this cute little thing?»
König explained how he heard a faint meow coming from an alley near the store, where he ended up finding an abandoned kitten hidden in a cardboard box as an unnecessary toy, and a sharp sense of compassion for the unfortunate animal prompted him to bring a small ball of fur home, knowing that both of you can provide him with the care and love he so desperately needs.
You reached out and your fingers immediately touched the velvety fur of the kitten, he let out a soft purr, his tiny body vibrated with satisfaction and the warmth of your gentle touch
— «Aren't you a brave little thing)» you cooed as your heart filled with warmth and brought a soft smile to the corners of your lips.
König's gaze never left you, his admiration was visible in his eyes and from time to time he always looked at you like that, something in your undisguised kindness and tenderness incredibly attracted him and he was grateful to you for the fact that you met, because you gave him a sense of home and a chance for sincerity.
— «I thought we could give him a home, Mein Schatz, a place where he wouldn't be in danger»
He spoke with the utmost sincerity, and you would not even think of refusing him, not when he treated the small and fragile animal in his hands so carefully and carefully, while absolute tenderness and trepidation towards the kitten was read in his deep blue eyes.
— «Sure, König, let's give this little soldier a home, hm?»
Your tone of voice is gentle, a wave of gratitude and a certain pride swept over you, as soon as your eyes once again captured the view in front of you, your heart overflowed with love for the person standing in front of you before you stood up on your toes and gently kissed him on the bare skin of his cheek, giggling softly.
(...)
The hours melted away as you and Konig accepted this new chapter of your life which included a new family member, you introduced the kitten to his new home, watching with delight as he explored every nook and cranny of the apartment with boundless curiosity, his playful antics caused laughter in the room, a joyful symphony that resonates deep in the soul of each of you.
As the evening stretched its gentle arms around you as you sat among the soft cushions on the sofa, König's hand slowly found yours, weaving your fingers together, his touch seemed to you a soothing anchor and his voice was like a measured water surface, caressing your ear in a whisper.
— «Thank you for accepting it, Schatz»
You turned to him while everything inside of you was filled with tenderness every now and then, causing a slight smile and a small giggle on your lips, a spilling sound because of which you made him smile back.
— «Thank you for bringing us together, König» you quietly whispered in a voice filled with warmth and gratitude
With a shared smile, you settled on the couch while the kitten nestled comfortably between you, its gentle purring harmonized with the soft melodies that carried through the air, creating a cocoon of comfort and love, you carefully leaned into König's arms, laying your head on his shoulder, his presence brought you a sincere calmness that drove away any lingering worries.
As the night wore on, you exchanged stories about what you did apart from each other, petty nonsense and even fleeting promises, while in the midst of it all, a tiny black kitten nestled in your arms, a symbol of unexpected joys and random events that life has to offer to the two of you as long as you're around.
The warmth of his body next to you caused a smile and a slight relaxation in the body, you were incredibly glad that he was finally next to you and you were in his warm arms, knowing that in the near future he will definitely never leave and stay here.
And so, in the quiet embrace of your apartment under the flickering light of a warm lamp and the purring of a warm ball of fur, you found comfort and a new unexpected connection that connected you with König even more strongly.

Cottage Grove, Indiana
This is a transfer move the Chessie Steam Special made back in the late 1970s. Cottage Grove is where the B&O and C&O cross; the train is taking the connector track from the former to the latter and was headed for Chicago (I believe). The Baltimore & Ohio runs between Cincinnati and Indianapolis while the Chesapeake & Ohio runs between Cincinnati and Chicago—through Peru, Indiana.

How different "legacy" Star Treks are reflected in current series:
TOS: The main character on Discovery is prominently related to Spock; Strange New Worlds is basically a sort of "TOS season zero"; George Takei reprised his role as Sulu in a mystic vision in an episode of Lower Decks; Picard brought back Walter Koenig as Chekov's grandson; Prodigy did a whole episode about the fate of a one-off redshirt; constant references to Kirk and company; constant references to Khan
TNG: Spinoff series about the main character, with a third season that's basically a reunion special for the main cast; Lower Decks closely follows its tone and narrative style; even exceedingly minor characters like Jellico, Okona, and Locarno get followed up upon
VOY: Seven of Nine is a main character on Picard; Prodigy is a stealth sequel, bringing back Janeway, Chakotay, and the Doctor; Tom Paris appeared in an episode of LWD, which also made its fourth season premiere a Voyager tribute.
DS9: Crossover episode with Lower Decks featuring Kira and Quark; Section 31 turns up all over the place (unfortunately); villains in Picard season 3 are (supposedly) Changelings; lots of references to Quark
ENT: Um. ...Connor Trineer turned up in the least awful episode of "Very Short Treks"

The promised Verde post!!!
It's gonna be Verde/Reborn because that ship has been on my mind a lot lately.
Idk why, but I've also over complicated them to hell and back. Like they will never officially date, but they will seek each other out. They're both instigators and antagonistic towards each other, but it's their own special brand of pig tail pulling. That's just how they flirt.
I think Reborn also likes how he can let his darker nature out around Verde. With Luce and Tsuna, he wants to be perceived as better than he actually is. He doesn't want them to see the monster he can be. And while it's nice to know he can be better than he perceives himself to be, he knows that isn't him. With Verde, there isn't a need to hide. Verde doesn't bother hiding who really is, so there isn't a point for Reborn to. A weight he doesn't like admitting he carries comes off.
For Verde, I think he's more of a tsundere. He can never admit his true feelings, so instead, he makes excuses to be in Reborn's life. (This also bleeds into his relationship with the other Arcobaleno! Shout out to Arco/Arco!) For whatever reason, feelings like that embarrass him. Maybe he thinks they're 'illogical', idk. I just work here. He's the kind of guy who you think you know well only to wake up one day and realize you don't. He's so overly cautious that he doesn't have many real relationships with people. And the ones he does aren't always the best. (*stares at my Koenig and Innocenti headcanons*)He can be a sweetheart, but it takes time and the right people for him to be like that.
Reborn is a good excuse for him to spend hours constructing a highly dangerous experiment specially designed for Reborn. You know he's thinking about Reborn's soulless black eyes, as fathomless as the night sky itself, while also giving Reborn a challenge. And that's another thing! They're pretty much the only people who can give each other a challenge. Reborn knows he has to keep his guard up around Verde, and Verde is the same way with Reborn. But for whatever twisted reason, they secretly like that about the other.
They're just... they aren't relationship goals, but their dynamic is so fun to think about. I don't even think I've scratched the surface. I'm so all over the place when it comes to ships, tho. Like all ships have a million different dynamics and vibes because my brain is all over the place.

They pulled up to Agent Koenigs's facility with a new addition to their little mutant group. Charles introduced him to raven, his name was Erik Lehnsherr. His mutation was that he could control metal. It was an amazing mutation. Bella was astonished. Mutants really are amazing.
"Welcome to my facility. My mission has been to investigate the application of paranormal powers in military defense." Koenig said.
"Or offense." Erik cut in. Isabella didn't need to be like Charles to know Erik was only here to kill Shaw, he really wanted to get this over with.
"This guy Shaw, Schmidt, whatever you want to call him, he's working with the Russians. We might need your help to stop him."
Bella tuned them out grabbing her sister's hand securely. They may have been adults but bella had terrible anxiety. Ever since she was a child, she could barely go out in public. She missed that motherly figure in her life to tell her it would be okay. Raven and Charles were there for her of course, but she dreamed of having a mother, or even just a parent. So whenever she was near lots of people or just in public, she would stick close to her sister. Raven sometimes acted as a mother, even though they were the same age, she was just very maternal and loving.
"So we're to be the CIA's new mutant division, yes?" Charles asked keeping his sisters in his eye line making sure Belle was okay. He knew how bad it could get, sometimes he would calm her with his mutation, but thankfully he didn't need to do that today.
"Something like that," Koenig said. It made bella feel uneasy. What else would they be doing? Are they keeping them, prisoners? The thoughts getting to her head made her breathing shaky. Raven could tell her sister was feeling anxious and put her arm around her and kissed the side of her head whilst muttering "It's okay. I'm here, you don't need to feel like this." Surprisingly it made her feel better, just knowing her sister was there gave her a feeling of warmth.
The mutants followed the agents further into the building until they were beneath a huge jet, attached to the ceiling by thin wires. that didn't look safe.
"It's uh supersonic." A man said who seemed to be working nearby. Everyone looked up at the jet in awe.
"Hank, these are the special new recruits I was telling you about." - He nodded towards the group. - "This is Hank McCoy, one of our most talented young researchers."
"How wonderful. Another mutant, already here." Charles said stepping closer to the man and shaking his hand. This made Isabella happy. There really were mutants in plain sight, hopefully, one day it would be normal for mutants to be around and not having to hide - as raven does.
"Why didn't you say?" Charles asked Koenig.
"Say what?" He replied with a confused tone.
"Because you don't know. I am so, so terribly sorry." Shit Charles. Isabella looked at him with a sorrowful look. He seemed like a nice guy, yet here he was being outed by Charles.
"Hank?" Koenig asked with what seemed to be an amazed expression - let's hope it was that anyway.
"You didn't ask, so I didn't tell," Hank said looking down.
"So, your mutation is what?" Raven asked stepping forwards, still holding onto her sister's hand. "you're super-smart?" she teased.
"I'll say. Hank here graduated Harvard at the age of 15." Charles spoke up.
"I wish that's all it was." Hank shyly told.
"You're in the company of friends now, Hank," Isabella said to the newly announced mutant. She wanted him to feel safe around them. She knew how it was to be shy and how it can take a toll on your social status.
"You can show off," Charles added. Hank stepped back and started to take his shoes and socks off. Bella wondered what his mutation was.
"Splendid," Charles said after seeing his feet. He had hands for feet. Truly amazing how a mutation can change something.
"I'm sorry," Hank muttered as he moved around the group taking a big leap and jumping upside down, and holding onto the jet with his feet.
"Amazing," Isabella said with a smile to the man who shyly smiled at her sister.
⋆✩⋆
Isabella couldn't help the smile that came over her face as she sat across from her sister. After they met hank they all went their separate ways. Isabella just strolled around the building invisibly so she didn't get stares or didn't have to smile and talk to people. It did make her sound like a resentful bitch, but she couldn't care less. Currently, the two were sitting in their shared bedroom that was in the facility. At first, Bella wanted a room by herself so she didn't make raven feel like her carer, but raven loved being with her sister. Nothing could break them apart.  Bella reading a book, and Raven flipping through a magazine, while music played softly in the background.
"What?" Raven asked once she saw that her sister was smiling at her.
"Nothing." Isabella shrugged before she went back to her book.
"Belle." Raven pushed as she knew she was lying. She just wanted to know what  Bella was smiling at her for.
"You and beast-boy huh?" belle teased as a smirk replaced her smile,
"Beast-boy?" Raven questioned with a whine.
"Yeah cuz' his feet are what you'd imagine a beast to have like in the story Mom told us." Raven smiled at the mention of their late mother. She had died when they were roughly eight years old. All they had to remember her by was the necklace Isabella wore. Bella went on and on for raven to keep it, but raven knew how belle needed things like that to keep her close to family when things got too much for her. Sometimes when she was young and her mother kissed her goodbye to school she swore not to wash that cheek until she saw her mother again. That's how bad it was.
"Do you miss her?"
"Yeah, but I know she would be proud of us. For sticking to what's right." Isabella said fiddling with her necklace. The only time she took it off was when she showered so it didn't get rusty. Raven had their mom's ring on her right-hand ring finger.
"If mom didn't die, do you think things would have been different?" Raven questioned quietly.
"Like what?"
"Like maybe we wouldn't have been as close, we wouldn't have met Charles. Maybe our mutations got out of control and we expose ourselves and make everything worse-" Raven rambled on.
"Let's not think about what could have happened yeah? Let's be glad we're here now, safe doing things we didn't know we could. I miss Mom, but I'm glad she's at peace now." Isabella said before smiling at her sister.
"So. back to you and beast-boy" Bella laughed as she saw her sister face plant the pillow.

Isabella was in astonishment as she followed after Raven and Erik into what Hank presented to them as Cerebro.
"Okay, so, uh, the electrodes connect Charles to the transmitter on the roof. When he picks up a mutant, his brain sends a signal through a relay, and then the coordinates of their location are printed out here." Hank explained his invention. Isabella stood with her brother as they looked over the piece that he would have to place on his head, while Raven and Erik stood with Hank beside the controls. She couldn't help but feel a little anxiety about what they were to be doing but she pushed it aside as she watched Charles place the helmet on.
"What an adorable lab rat you make, Charles." Erik teased as the woman switched places with Erik and stood next to her sister. Bella felt glad Erik was warming up to them and agreed to stay with them. When they first found Erik he was incredibly closed off. It had only been a day but he was opening up more and more. Bella and Erik both had the same goal at the end of the day. Kill and find Shaw. Something they bonded over. It may have been out of character for Bella to be so violent, but if Shaw was actively hurting and threatening people, including her family, she wanted him gone.
"Don't spoil this for me, Erik." Charles shot back as he got relaxed in the chair.
"Oh. I've been a lab rat.
I know one when I see one." Erik admitted.
"Are you sure we can't shave your head?" Hank asked Charles as he made sure the helmet was on accurately.
"Don't touch my hair," Charles said instantly, displeased with hanks offer. Hank just nodded before he went back to the control panel. Turning on the machine and flipping all the needed switches. Isabella waited in suspense as the room seemed to get darker and the lights of the machine seemed to be the only things illuminating the room. Charles grunted in pain as he grasped the railing that seemed to surround him. Bella grabbed her sister's hand as they waited in anticipation.
"It's working." Hank declared to the other mutants as they observed Charles. Bella couldn't help but smile as she watched her brother chuckle in amazement at what he was seeing.

Isabella sat on Charles's bed as she watched him pack a small bag. He and Erik would be traveling to recruit some of the mutants that Charles had found while in Cerebro. Her plan would be to beg Charles to let her go with them. She was bored of staying in the facility, which was not like her. Normally she would stay in her room listening to music, reading, and wouldn't come out. But something was drawing her away. Like a magnet in her stomach pulling her somewhere and she needed to follow it.
"Are you sure I can't join the two of you?" She asked.
"The new recruits will need friendly faces to greet them - preferably other mutants - when they arrive," Charles explained to his younger sister. He wouldn't have minded if  Bella just joined the two of them. Making sure she was ok and safe. Of course, she would be fine at the facility, especially with Raven, but he worried for her and knew how she got.
"And you, my dear sister, have one of the friendliest faces I have ever seen," Charles added as she stopped next to the woman and put his arm around her shoulder. She missed moments like this, they hadn't had one in a while.
"He isn't wrong. bella" A new voice joined them from the doorway. Isabella turned her head and saw that it was Raven, walking through the door.
"This won't work you know.." Bella rolled her eyes as she pulled Charles' arm away from her.
"What won't work?" Raven smiled as she walked closer to her siblings.
"She is right. Isabella is way too stubborn to let this go." Her brother laughed.
"I was just hoping to get out of this stupid government building," Bella said, shocking her siblings.
"Really? Normally you would stay and curl up in your room. Your not the type to go out specifically to see people."  Her sister really did know her all too well.
"I don't know. I think I wanna just get out. All the government agents creep me out and I think I need to learn to be around people more, this might help." It wasn't a complete lie, but if she said the real reason Charles would immediately shut her down and probably laugh and tell her she needed rest. She saw her brother have a look of contemplation on his face before he opened his mouth and agreed for her to tag along. She squealed with excitement. Maybe Charles wasn't so protective anymore, maybe he was finally letting her have her own life.
"Okay well have fun for me. Good luck meeting new people bella." Raven said hugging her sister. It might've seemed childish, but Isabella really did have a hard time near people. She'd gotten better recently though, and raven was proud of her sister.

Isabella was delighted that Charles had agreed for her to come search for the mutants
As Bella sat in the car waiting for Charles, she found herself wondering what the real reason was for her desire to go with Charles and Erik. The pretend magnet in her stomach got more and more intense the more they searched for other mutants. With no answer from the universe she was hoping for, Isabella decided to get out of the car and find Charles, erik, and the mutant they were there for. When they pulled up to the strip club, Charles forced Isabella to stay in the car. His protective side revealing which was really starting to irritate Bella.
The invisible mutant phased through the doors of the club. She then phased through a few private areas, before finally coming upon the one Charles and erik were in. She saw the beautiful girl before her eyes and smiled once she saw the captivating wing that protruded through her back.
"Badass." Bella said, making herself visible. Clearly captivated by the girl and her wings. Charles sighed at his little sister whilst Erik and the girl-Angel- smirked at Isabella.
"How would you like a job where you get to keep your clothes on?" He said to the mutant as she wafted in the air, her wings fluttering around her.
Once they sent Angel to the CIA facility, the next mutant they were to recruit, was a taxi driver named Darwin.
"Where to?" Darwin asked the three, sending a charming smile to Isabella.
"Richmond, Virginia, please." She told the man before Charles could interrupt her.
"Right, so, you want the airport? The station? What?" Darwin chuckled.
"No, we were rather hoping you would take us all the way." She smiled.
"That's a six-hour drive."
"That will give us plenty of time to talk," Erik smirked before shutting the fare meter, making Darwin look back in surprise.
Now they were in a prison to see another mutant - of course. Isabella wasn't sure about this one, since he was in prison. As they made their way through the prison, following the warden, Isabella felt the fictional magnet in her stomach start fluttering around, tugging her harder and closer than it had before.
weird.
what is weird belle? She heard Charles in her head.
"Stop invading my mind, Charles." She grumbled, before stopping in front of the cell holding the mutant - Alex Summers.
"What does the government want with a guy like Alex Summers? I hope you're not planning on putting him with others. First guy, I've ever met who actually prefers solitary confinement." The warden said to them in a judgy tone. People like him were some of the reasons Isabella was anxious to go out, I mean come on no need to be so judgy.
He opened the door and there they saw Alex who so say caused havoc, Bella was guessing with his mutation. The warden cautioned them earlier, about putting him with others in a group, as Alex was the only prisoner he'd known to actually prefer solitary confinement like the warden said before. He looked up with a scowl on his face. Apparently, he wasn't actually bad, just worried about unleashing his mutation and hurting others around him.
We can fix him up. Bella thought feeling the need to help him understand his power, and make him feel more secure using it if he wants to of course.
Once they left the prison, Isabella decided to go back to the CIA facility with Alex. Obviously to see Raven no other reason. She also wanted to assure Alex he won't cause any destruction or hurt others. Charles was reluctant to leave Bella to go back on her own and thought it was odd that she would happily leave the safety of her brother, knowing she preferred to stay with her siblings. Maybe she was coming out of her shell though, which would be amazing for her.
Currently, Bella was sitting next to the newly recruited mutant. She could tell how tense and nervous he was to be out of solitary confinement. They hadn't said much to him about what they were planning, so Isabella felt the need to explain everything, not even just what he was here to do. She wanted to explain mutations to him too. Now she may not have been as smart as Charles, but she knew more than the average person on mutations. After forcing Charles to read about it all to her, she felt pretty confident she could explain it to him and help him understand.
"You don't have to be so nervous you know. I don't bite" She told him softly with a smile.
He didn't say anything, continuing to stare at the airport around him. Isabella sighed not knowing what to say to him. She knew all too well about being quiet. All bella wanted to do was help him.
"I'm not going to ridicule you for whatever you did, or your mutation." She sighed, needing to let him understand she was here to help. Alex looked toward Isabella scoffing before saying.
"I can take the insults, I just don't want to hurt anyone. I don't think you understand how destructive I am."
"You know if you were to get out of control, ill be here to help. I can create forcefields that are sealed tight and impenetrable, nothing would get in or out of my forcefields. I can do other stuff too, but ill only show you if you tell me about you." She smiled.
For the whole plane journey, they both shared storied about their life. Alex even opening up to Isabella about his abilities. He shared the story of how he ended up in prison. She felt for him, no one deserved to feel that way about themselves or their powers. She even ended up making him laugh, which made Belle feel warm inside at the sight.
