I have exactly one setting: Hurt/Comfort. 

Alternatively, Blue should not be left alone because they will either make tooth rotting fluff, or crush someones heart with angst.

Herein I commit the chronicle of the traveler.

I saw an amazing reddit thread after the 5.3 trial about Azem & how their Sygil is the same as the Scions Travellers Gear helmet.

So I drew my WoL in their Level 70 WHM gear, and then their Scion Gear they're given at the start of ShB.

Weapon of Light.

I posted this to twitter earlier, but I always forget to update my art blog here, so~ I kept seeing amazing art of players WoL’s turned into Lightwardens, and I really wanted to explore that idea for myself!

Koh’a started ARR as an Archer, and soon switched to learning Conjury. They’ve been a White Mage ever since. Guess it didn’t pay off in an AU like this.

Since they started an ARC i liked the idea of this image looking like a physical weapon, a golden arrow, but still with the healers aesthetic mixed in from the LVL 80 gear. 

I tried to throw in a few more references too, his face became more of a mask because we started ARR in one, the circle on the mask combined with the halo as the symbol for [5.3 Spoiler]. The sun rays became the string for the bow, and that was a stroke of luck when I was resizing things and realised how well it’d fit.

I had so much fun making this! And out of curiousity I decided to time how long this took to make. Not including the time spent researching, this took 22 hours to complete, over three days!

Sometimes you just got to be an embarrassing parent and smoosh your child. That’s just how it be. I can easily imagine mama Koh being an overly affectionate parent, and teasing her son.

Betwanhe Family

Lately I’ve been drawing a lot of Koh’a with his family, imagining what his childhood was like before becoming the WoL. I’ve always imagined his mama was a Moon Keeper and his dad a Sun Seeker.

There’s a lot of Moon Keeper surnames that exist in the game but havent been used for any NPC’s yet. So I hope one day I get to meet an NPC in the next expansions with Koh’a’s clan name. It’d be kind of hilarious to see my headcanons get obliterated.

Shepherd to the Stars

It’s been so long since I’ve posted on my art blog! I’ve been on an MA course for storyboarding and I’ve just graduated :D

I’ve also been playing a lot of FFXIV! And I finally found some time to draw my WoL. I’ve been having so much fun playing this game. It has such a lovely community, and the story is phenomenal.

Man, that Dark Knight questline, huh?

This took me two whole weeks to draw, but I don’t regret a damn thing. I managed to finish the DRK questline the other day and boy did that whole story give me some emotions.

Even if tanking’s not for you, I recommend DRK. It’s a really fitting story, and ties in nicely to a lot of ShB themes TT___TT <3

‘Lost Afflatus’ WHM Healers Set

Drew this for Endyart’s #AFesthetic twitter challenge. Posting to art blog too :D 

The aim was to create recognisable AF gear for your WoL that fit your aesthetic.

I really love the level 70 and 80 AF gear for WHM. The high collar always makes Koh’a look so much taller than they actually are! They had really nice metal detailing I wanted to emulate...andforgottoaddtothebottomoftheskirt*cough*.

Though I wish the WHM gear would have shorter skirts/robes, cause they’d be much more practical T w T

Something also important to me is that armour should be battle ready! (Which is why the Deepshadow gear set is my fave), so I added some influence from that so there’s chainmail underneath the robes! Elegance and practicality, heck yeah!

I love the aesthetic of the 80 AF weapon, and also the new Bozjan weapon. I’d love something that fit that sort of aesthetic again. More lily themes!

Father & Son

I have so many sketches of my WoL when they were a child with their parents. They’re so much fun to draw! I really have no idea what kind of clothes they’d wear, so I’ve been patching together parts of my fave in-game gear.

Since we’re heading to Thavnair and Radz-at-Han, we’ve seen a lot of concept art for it, and know from past quests that there’s were Alchemists and Dancers are a big thing. I can make vague guesses to clothing aesthetics, but not much. Also, there’s a loooot of MoonKeeper surnames that haven’t been used by NPC’s yet... And all of those unused names have an Indian/Middle East kind of theme to them, and Radz-at-Han seems to be based on Rajasthan. I’m kinda hoping I’ll meet an NPC with the Betwanhe clan name. I just really want to be able to pick somewhere on Hydaelyn’s map for where my WoL comes from;;; But I’m way too into lore to just pick randomly.

Skybuilders’ Ranking: Savage

To everyone who took part in the Ishgard Restoration Ranking, congratulations on your titles! :D I hope you all managed to get some rest and sleep after our collective life choices.
