i will be adding material over the coming weeks and continuously as i come across material! updates may be frequent or slow down at times.
note: resources are free, and they’re totally free to share and use! but please do not repost without credit, and because i buy these from my workplace with my own money and spend time scanning them and cleaning them up and organizing them, please consider tipping me as much as you’d like ♥️
here is the link to the drive! (sorry, can’t hyperlink on mobile currently)
enjoy, and thank you in advance! have fun and feel free to ask me any questions—i am a korean studies grad and was a tutor for the beginning korean classes at my university. i am happy to help however i can!

All about Hanok, the Korean traditional home, using the oldest surviving example of the Maeng clan haeng-dan! It is an example of architecture from the beginning of the Joseon dynasty (start:1392) which has been maintained according to the old way of building.
The name 행단 refers to a place with a gingko tree, which makes reference to Confucius teaching pupils under a gingko tree. In Joseon, Confucian culture became a main part of the national culture, replacing previous national Buddhism in Goryeo dynasty.

Intransitive verbs - when a verb is used alone without the need for an object. A whole sentence with valid meaning can be made and understood with an intransitive verb. Example in English:
'I eat.' is transitive - I eat what? A noun needs to be used to complete the sentence. The action of eating needs to be enacted upon a food.
'I dance.' is intransitive - doesn't need a noun. You can't dance something.
In Korean these are not considered intransitive verbs (that's something different) but instead get translated as a verb plus a corresponding noun come as a two part package to create a phrase. In English, 'to dance' in Korean is literally 'to dance a dance':
춤을 추다 - to dance a dance
춤 (noun - a dance), and the object marker ~을/를 is put after it because the noun is being acted upon by 추다 (verb - to dance). You will often see it without the object marker because its obvious of the meaning.
춤을 추는 것을 좋아해. - I like to dance.
same grammar applies to these:
잠을 자다 - to sleep a sleep
어젯밤에 잠을 못 잤어. - I couldn't sleep last night.
꿈을 꾸다 - to dream a dream
무서운 꿈을 꿨어. - I dreamt a scary dream.

(୨୧ᵕ̤ᴗᵕ̤) ✩°。⋆30 days of 한국이 게임! ・:*˚:✧
Tumblr media
I've been feeling very stuck in my korean learning recentily, i haven't enjoied studing it for a while now. I havent seen a lot of progress, and my vocabulary is very bare bones.
So I've decided to do something diferent: i will play games in korean to learn more vocaubalary (even if the vocabulary won't be very usefull lmao)
The games i will be playing are: Moded Minecraft (The Bigchadguys modpack), moded stardew valley, and possibly the sims 3 (with custom content, but not moded). I won't be playing every day, but everytime i play it will be in korean.
*˚:✧。 .Rules:
Everytime i play these games, they must be in korean
No cheats*
I must play diferently then what i'm used to
*Minecraft will have keepinventory on.
*˚:✧。 .The goal:
make learning korean fun again, gaining vocabulary and maybe some grammar along the way.
*˚:✧。 .What is needed:
The game (duh)
Notebook
Naver dictionary.
extra! updating in this blog my experience and jorney while playing!
i hope to be able to write this posts in korean in the future, but for now it will be in english.

미니크래프트/Minecraft Day 01 (Febuary 10th,2023)
Tumblr media
I've started a new world called "안네 세계 " in minecraft, using the The BigChadGuys modpack. I went in without knwoning anything about the modpack, being 좀 놀람 (very suprised) to see pokemons and stardew valley's seasons count! As soon as i spawned in the world, i got the basics: 나무(wood), 식량(food),조약돌 (cobblestone). i spend the first night hidding inside a mautain like a 고양이 겁나요! (scared cat!) in the second day, i got exploring and found a mineshaft. Thanks to glowing berrys, there was very few hostile mobs inside the mineshaft, so i've decided to turn this mineshaft into my base. I've made underground bases before, but never turned a mineshaft into a base. For now it's just like pink floyed, a hole in the wall, but in the future it will be amazing! I plan to get some 벚꽃 나무(cherry blossom wood), because 저는 분홍색 시람해요!(i love pink!)

한국어 일기 ! - Korean Diary !

——————————————————————————
I went to the Battersea Power Station shopping centre with my uncle today! For lunch we went to Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant and I ate a reallyyy good duck salad! I also saw a Paris Baguette! Am I in Korea?? Lmaoo
After shopping we went to Vauxhall and my uncle bought me a tasty looking doughnut 😋 but..actually..the doughnut didn’t taste good 😭 it’s because the cream wasn’t sweet enough 😔 I had a nice day enjoying the good weather thoughh 🌞😌!
