which french historical figures that you want see as movie or miniseries?

Eugénie, for sure. The Mortemart children, 100%. A series on François I's reign. Anne of Austria. Plenty of non royals too. Overall i'm more interested in seeing an era play out than a person in particular. I would love something à la Korona Królów about the succession war in Brittany. Maybe the French side of the succession war post Philippe IV and pre-Hundred Years' War. The French Commune could be a must but man would it break me.

my favourite thing about the crown of kings (korona królów) is how many middle aged/older couples there are. how many widows and widowers fall in love and marry and are happy. that it doens't just focus on young people being in love. love is for the older people, too. i love that this show is not afaid to show older people being affectionate because we really lack that in the media.

“One day, Queen Jadwiga returning with her entourage from a walk outside the town, passed by the church on Piascus that was being build. She noticed that one of the workers working on stone cutting was very sad and wiping constantly his tears. The Queen asked him what happened. He replied that he had a seriously ill wife and he doesn't have enough money to get a doctor to see her. The Queen promised to help him and before she left, she put her foot on a stone, unfastened the gold buckle from her shoe and gave it to the man. When the worker grabbed the hammer to continue chipping the stone, he saw an imprint of a human foot on it. He called the rest of the workers and they all watched in amazement as the foot of the merciful queen was imprinted in the hard stone. Together they hewed the stone and embedded it in the church' wall.”
