the frozen ii ending makes me soooooo angry like the whole POINT of frozen i was that elsa learned that she could rule arendelle with her powers and with anna by her side!!! literally in the bway musical she sings ‘i know i’ll never see that sunny day / when this trial is finally through / and it can just be me and you’ like. elsa WANTS to stay with anna

and they try and explain this somewhat in into the unknown, with the ‘who knows deep down i’m not where i’m meant to be’ but. WHY isn’t she where she’s meant to be. all of the first film was her learning that she belonged in arendelle and her powers/herself wasn’t something to be afraid of. why isn’t she meant to be with her family? with her sister who’s been desperate to reconnect with her? why doesn’t she belong where people readily love her and accept her and want the best for her?

and then, what about anna? there is no mention of her wanting/being ready to be queen in either two films. we don’t even see the offer on screen; we don’t get the sisters’ quiet, vulnerable conversation where elsa admits to wanting to live with the rest of the nature spirits and anna offers to take her place as queen. we don’t see anna begging elsa to stay in the forest because she can rule if elsa’s happier there. we never see their dialogue. it’s just so sudden. is anna once again just going along with what her sister wants? is elsa isolating herself all over again? we just don’t know. they both seem happy, but there’s barely any indication that it’ll lead up to that point.

it just makes no sense for either of their arcs, or their previous wants/needs. if they were meant to stay together, why separate them again? they just got each other back. and now they’re alone again.

Been seeing posts around proposing Satine and Bo-Katan Kryze as respectively the Star Wars Elsa and Anna...

...given obvious visual and probably other parallels. And I do see what they see, this is the way. But just immediately hilarious to me on another level as Anna endgames with a more working-class dude with 'zero social skills', who starts off as not exactly her favourite person in the universe or at that to be stuck with. And whose dearest companion is assuredly non-human because humans are overrated as at least half the song goes (facts though, Kristoff -- where is the lie). Perfection.

Context: This is set during Frozen II, in the middle of the Dark Sea scene. They’ve barely survived the Nokk, and Jack is the most upset he’s ever been. Elsa left him behind not once, but twice. The first when they left Kristoff and Sven behind, and the second when she sent Olaf and Anna away. Not only that, she recklessly runs into the Dark Sea, and that’s not mentioning his fear of water. Coupled with the fear of being sent away, and not feeling like he has a place in Arendelle, he’s really struggling to prove his worth without being selfish.

Love is selflessness, and he has taken that to heart since the events of Frozen 1, where he abandoned Elsa before her parents died, and he did everything in his power to make up for it when she finally sees him again. However, it doesn't always work in the right way. So he’s desperately trying to not be what he perceives to be selfish, for being selfish is what almost lost him his best friend in the first place, and he is deeply afraid of losing his new family. Of losing Elsa.

But somewhere along the way, whether he understands or want to admit it or not, things changed. Jack sees Elsa differently, just as she started to in her late teens, but kept quiet due to what happened and out of respect to her friend, also because she's not sure she understands it either.

They argue in the Dark Sea, telling her he doesn't want to lose her, but right as Jack’s about to say what he actually wants, he relents, saying what he wants doesn’t matter. Elsa doesn’t accept that. Once they get to safety, she tells him what he wants matters to HER.

And he tells her he wants to stay with her forever. That he sees her the way Kristoff does to Anna. But time, fate, what have you, makes it seem like no matter what he does, he can’t. But still, he wants to be with her regardless. Because she is his destiny. And being with her makes him feel better, and whole.

So then he starts singing. And so does she. And for the first time since entering the Enchanted Forest, they're on the same page. Better now than ever before.

Debated whether or not to do this after posting the Jack Frost This Is The Thanks I Get?!, and finally hearing this for the first time. I got giddy, as this is definitely one of the top songs from the Wish soundtrack, and it struck me as odd that the villain, who in the movie was married, and the protagonist would sing something that sounded... well, romantic.

After seeing Wish for the context of it, and later discovering the Demo Version, learning that it WAS originally written as a love song, well... I had to go back and tweak my original draft.

@doodlemel's Animatic of them singing this song definitely didn't help, either. XD

I had to tweak bits that weren't making sense for Jack to say, especially parts that Magnifico said in the movie that kinda hinted to his more sinister persona. Because Jack is a good guy, but also someone who has never experienced these kinda feelings before, as well as also dealing with a lot of mistakes and trauma that influence his perception of whether or not his feelings are genuine, and whether he has a right to feel these feelings.

Elsa, for her part. is more straightforward, remarkably. Because I headcanon that she fell in love first, but Jack was being Shonen Protagonist oblivious to it. And by the time he started feeling a spark of something similar, stuff had already happened between them that they needed to clear up. But her feelings for him never really went away, even if she got better at hiding them. So when she hears him FINALLY admit that he feels the same way, she doesn't have to hide anymore. She lets him say his piece, and responds in kind.

Ultimately, I didn't really change much but the first parts where they sing, and parts of the choruses. Especially the “love” parts, as I just HAD to incorporate the original Demo Version into it. It's telling a sort of story. Of them slowly synchronizing once more, and finally ending with them being of one mind and heart.

For to love on a spectrum that has both beings as one, in my opinion, is truly a beautiful thing.

"Rúben!" Julia screamed when I opened the door. 

"Hello, little one" he said, picking her up with those arms of his. "You look beautiful."

"Thank you!" she said. "I'm Queen Elsa and she is Anna."

"Oh... Is that why you are wearing those braids? I like them."

"Thank you" I said, feeling my cheeks getting warm. Why was I blushing? We had been able to have a proper conversation earlier, and now...

"So if you are Elsa, and she is Anna... Who am I?"

"Kristoff! He is Anna's boyfriend."

"Is he?" Rúben said, looking at me with a cheeky smile before putting Julia down. He was giving me a cheeky smile. Me. Because Kristoff is Anna's boyfriend and I'm Anna and he is Kristoff and... 

"He is! You'll see, we are watching "Frozen" tonight! And we have popcorn, and chocolate, and gummy bears!" Julia said, grabbing his hand and taking him to the kitchen. "Look!"

"Can you eat any of this? You probably have to follow a very strict diet to look like that" I said, my eyes going all over his body, something that he definitely noticed. "In shape I mean. For football." 

"I can eat some popcorn, don't worry. And if I eat too much, I'll make sure to burn it tomorrow during training" he replied, this time with the same smirk from when we first met. Oh, dear Lord.

When we sat down on the sofa to watch the movie, Julia was between us, the popcorn on her lap. While I had my arms crossed over my chest, trying to not freak out, Rúben was feeling himself at home, one of his arms stretched over the back of the sofa, his fingers just millimeters away from my neck. My exposed neck because of the braids. If he moved just a bit, he could touch it, and I would probably melt just as Olaf does in the movie.

Thanks to Julia's constant comments I was able to stop thinking about it for a while, but during one of the songs I looked at him and he was... singing? Rúben Dias... was singing... "Love is an open door"? What? And he also sang "Let it go". Word by word. He said he was a Disney fan, but this? This was unexpected. 

"Can we watch "Frozen 2" now?" Julia asked when the movie ended.

"It's bed time."

"But it's a Friday! C'mon, please" she said, looking at me with puppy eyes. 

"We'll leave it for next Friday."

"Will you come?" she asked Rúben.

"If I can I will."

"Yay!" she said, giving him a hug. "Anna can't be without Kristoff."

And what was Rúben's answer to that? Another smirk. While looking at me.

"Let's go get you changed, Julia" I quickly said, getting up from the sofa.

"Rúben, can you take me flying to my room?" she asked him, already climbing into the back of the sofa.

"Wait, Julia.” But before I could say or do anything else, she was jumping, Rúben catching her and making her fly as if she was Supergirl. 

"Look, I'm flying!" she giggled. "To my room!"

"Ready for landing?" Rúben asked her when the three of us made it there. 

"Ready!"

"One... Two... Three!" he said before throwing her into the bed, Julia bouncing when she landed, her laugh echoing around the room.

"Again!"

"You already landed, it can´t happen again. Now it's time to get changed."

"Boring" she pouted.

"I'll wait outside."

"But you are coming back to say boa noite, aren't you?"

"Of course" Rúben said, closing the door behind him but coming  back later so they could say goodnight to each other in Portuguese. And maybe, just maybe... I was melting like Olaf while watching it all.

"Next time you have to make her fly" Julia said, pointing at me. "She's a guardian angel but she doesn't have wings."

"She may be scared of flying..." Rúben said. And yes, he was smirking again.

"She isn't, she's been to Spain."

"Then I'll make sure to make her fly." And the way he looked at me, the way he smiled at me... That told me that he wasn't talking about carrying me around with those stupidly big arms of his. He was thinking about something else. Could have I been imaging it? Maybe. Maybe my brain was playing tricks on me because I thought he had been flirting with me earlier. But what I was feeling all over my body was too real to be just my imagination. 

"Let me help you clean everything" he said once we left Julia in her room.

"You don't need to, you should probably go rest too. Aren't you playing this weekend?"

"On Sunday. Why don't you come?"

"What?" 

"You and Julia. You said you are spending the whole weekend with her, right?"

"I am, yes."

"Then come to the game, I'll get you tickets. We are playing against Chelsea at 5 pm. When you get home she'll be so tired  that she'll be asleep before you put her to bed."

"I'll have to ask Lucy first."

"Yes, of course" he said, the popcorn ball and all our leftovers on his hands while he walked into the kitchen. "But if you come, can I get you both my shirt? Or is that too much for an Arsenal girl?"

"I'm not an Arsenal girl" I said, following him. "I mean, yes but no."

"How so?" he said, letting everything he was carrying on the kitchen's counter and leaning against it. But not like normal people. No. He did it on the sexiest way possible.

"I... I've never really been into football” I finally said, focusing on looking at the clock behind him. "My grandad has been taking me to Arsenal games since I can remember, and when I was eight I actually started playing. My feet weren't made to kick a ball, but my hands were really good at stopping it."

"Were you a goalkeeper?"

"For a year I was, yes. They gave me a medal and everything. But then my dad got scared because I could injure my fingers or wrists, which would mean no more piano, and piano was the only thing that mattered. Not if I was happier playing football."

"He made you quit?"

"He didn't make me. He forced me to. And after that I kind of stopped caring about football because it made me sad. I still went to some games with grandad, but it wasn't the same."

"I'm sorry" Rúben said. He had moved forward without me noticing and was standing very close to me. Very close. 

"Thank you" I whispered, my eyes fixed on the floor. If I looked up, that was it. It would probably faint, die, or both things at the same time. But that could still happen without looking at him, because his hand was moving towards my face. No, it was on my face. His thumb was on my cheek and... 

"Fuck!" I screamed when the phone rang, my heart on my throat.

"Are you ok?"

"Yes, yes. I just wasn't expecting to hear the phone."

"Me neither" Rúben chuckled. And when I finally looked up... There it was. Another smirk. 

"I better pick that up, it probably is Lucy checking in."

"I asked her about the game" I said to Rúben after talking with Lucy.

"And?"

"She said yes."

"Great" he said with a big grin. He looked so... Happy? But it was because Julia was going. He clearly loved that kid. "I'll send you the tickets tomorrow. Can I get your number or your email? Maybe both? Just in case something happens."

"Ok."

"Perfect" he said after I wrote both things on a paper. "I'll see you on Sunday, Anna."

"Elsa and I will be there, Kristoff." 

And he smiled, and I smiled. And after he left, I was still smiling. And oh, my God. Had all that been a dream? Had I imagined it all? Or had Rúben spent half the day flirting with me?

I didn't even watch "WISH" yet because in my country it will only be available at january, but people are saying it's a bad cliche so I probably won't watch at the cinema.

The thing is, even though I am a hopeless romantic, not everything has to have romance. There are princess who are perfectly fine without a prince, like Mirabel, Elsa, Merida, Moana and Raya(I do kinda like the idea of Raya with a girl, just not Namaari). But we were so robbed of seeing Asha and the star boy(he is literally a staR so I don't doubt Disney would call him StaN or something like that, so his name is Stan from now on, I am gonna call him like that, is easier than star boy). Asha and Stan had the potential to be the next Tianaveen and Rapunzel&Eugene (I don't know their ship name). The concept arts are the cutest thing I have ever seen. Also "At All Costs" (bop) would have been a love song between the two!!! Them singing it man. The pain I will feel when I don't see them passionately sing it, very "I see the light" coded, in the actual movie. Somehow, now is not feminist for a strong female character to have a male partner by her side. Like...This doesn't make sense! You can be a strong female character and have a man at the same time! Have y'all forgotten Mulan and Shang? Anna and Kristoff? Ariel and Eric? Jasmine and Aladdin? (There are more examples and I could go on all day, but you got what I meant already) I hate Disney for throwing good ideas at the trash and playing safe just for money(like Hobie Brown/Spider-Punk said "it's a metaphor for capitalism"). And as the guy looked blonde with blue/green eyes in the arts I have seen, and Asha is a black latina, they lost the opportunity of having a biracial couple ACTUALLY DONE RIGHT (Pocahontas and John Smith don't count, he is a collonizer with the most common name in the world, she deserves so much better). Like, if the thing is show how inclusive you are by having a black latina female protagonist for little girls to see and feel represented in a good way, you could have increased that feeling by making someone fall in love for her. Little girls would feel like they are beautiful and desired/desireable in a positive way and that they worthy of being loved and love and be with whoever they want to be with, even someone who has a different skin color.

I am also mad because we could have seen Disney's first evil villain COUPLE with King Magnifico and his wife, the queen(still don't know her name, sorry). Can't you guys imagine the HITS, THE FIRST PLACE OF BILLBOARD HOT 100 WORTHY songs, they would proportionate us? Even if only one song, it would be enough for me. But someone thought having a female villain would be anti-feminist and they discarded an original and authentic idea, which is what Disney built its empire on the first place. Come on Disney minorities don't want to be portrayed as those unrealistic superior beings, they want to be portrayed as real human beings with emotions, struggles, qualities and flaws. Having an iconic female villain like you guys always had(like Maleficent, Cruella De Vil, Ursula, Mother Gothel, Lady Tremaine, etc) and set her up with an iconic male villain(like Gaston, Doctor Facilier, Shan Yu, Jafar, Hans, etc) it would have been top notch, god tier. King Magnifico and the queen could have been like the Gomez and Morticia of evil. You could address so many topics by it. Like the kingdom being ruled by evil would have been a great social critic of some politicians out there, for example. And we could have had an iconic final boss battle between Asha and Stan VS Magnifico and the queen.

Anyway, what I mean by this is that if someone has fanarts or just ANY CONTENT, of Asha and Stan, tag me, reblog this or comment, I don't care, just warn me, because they are my new obsession. I will also write a fanfic about this movie with these ideas, but only after I have watched the movie so until them, please feed my hyperfixation in Stasha (Star boy/Stan×Asha), I'm begging y'all

Hello! Love your au, I'm slowly shifting towards remembering my weeks by your update days because I am unable to contain how excited I am for the fic ☺️☺️☺️

And now for a hypothetical question:

Your animatronic characters (could be the main-main cast, could be the knights --whichever is easiest for you lol) have had their media filters temporarily removed and have discovered Disney Princess movies. How do they react, what are their favorites, and does this affect them in any way?

Oh my goodness what a fun question. I'll start with the Knights and then move on to the main cast:

Sir Fredbear is a fan of the classics. He took one look at Snow White and decided to treat every creature as gently as she did. With his big stature, he strives to make himself look small and gentle to not scare away his small fans.

Sir Bonnie is the opposite. He never found a movie that resonated with him until he saw Frozen 2. The first one didn't affect him very much, but he liked the evolution of the relationship with Anna and Kristoff. He thinks their relationship is the healthiest.

Lady Chica is a bit of a wild card. She watched Mulan with Lady Wolf one evening and while Mulan is Roxy's favorite princess, Chica didn't connect with any until she watched the sequel. The youngest of the emperor's three daughters had her giggling and they both decided she reminded them of Chica herself.

The Invader Monty likes Aladdin. He won't go into detail but he rewinds the Jasmine as a prisoner scene more times than he should.

Now, onto the main cast:

Sun didn't like to admit it, but he agreed with the fairies when Aurora fell into her hundred year slumber. What better place to keep her safe than high in a tower, surrounded by and protected by thorns? The way she's named after the dawn helped his decision.

Moon took a similar route but his choice was sealed when he watched The Black Cauldron and saw Eilonwy. It's interesting since she's the only one he knows of that doesn't sing, instead making her way through the story as if she's the protagonist. He thinks she's strong, and funny and he definitely doesn't cry everytime he watches it.

The Princess/Handler/Vocalist/Reader found a digitized copy of Atlantis on some old streaming website and couldn't name a single Disney princess while simultaneously barely recognizes that Atlantis was even made by the same company.

i just rewatched frozen for the first time in seven years and this is MY TAKE on the trolls theory and why hans isn’t actually evil! i’ve been a truther of this since the movie came out when i was 7 years old 😭

first of all these romance scenes are INSANE hans genuinely gets on with her in an insane way they seem absolutely perfect for each other (which is the point i know) but when he expresses his concerns about his brothers it’s about them acting like he’s invisible! which he doesn’t know about anna! and the whole “i would never shut you out” is crazyyyy like this man is not playing

he is also doing good things when people aren’t looking! if he was really evil why would he care so much about the people? why would he try to reason with elsa instead of not killing her immediately when he believes elsa’s death will bring back summer?

HE SMILES WHEN ANNA ISNT LOOKING ‼️ why would he be giving her that lovestruck look if he was acting? it wouldn’t make any sense he has nothing to gain— every time he is nice he has NOTHING TO GAIN— MEANING HE IS TRULY NICE ‼️

you could argue “oh those soldiers attack elsa” BUT THEY ARENT UNDER HANS’S COMMAND— its weaselton’s command PLUS hans isn’t there for that part he’s outside fighting marshmallow— he seems genuinely concerned about elsa for the sake of anna, and accuses weasleton of treason against the two (even though, theoretically, weaselton would be the perfect ally if he were hoping to seize control as he hated the princesses)

and now to move onto THE TROLLS

they are depicted as evil as fuck from the beginning and the things they say to elsa traumatise her and are the reason for the bad events of the movie and why elsa and anna are apart (altho that’s also elsas dads fault fuck elsas dad)

the trolls are also known to do mind magic! they erase anna’s memory at the beginning and change memories completely to exclude magic— it’s not far fetched that they’d be able to change hans’s memories and motives

AND hans’s thematic shift comes immediately after THIS SONG where the trolls learn that kristoff could potentially marry anna if it wasn’t for hans, so they do exactly what they sing about and “get the fiancé out of the way”

BUT WHERE WOULD THIS FIT IN NARRATIVELY? i hear you ask

WELL

kristoff and anna are larking about for a while on that mountain, only rushing back to the village after the song. hans and the guards are making their own way down the mountain, it’s possible that immediately after the song, the trolls find hans and manage to magic his mind into evil and send him back with a STRONG motive to return and take over, him making it back at the perfect time to meet with anna just as the magic is seeping in and he’s switched to evil hans HENCE THE TWIST

TLDR: hans is genuinely awestruck of anna who is lovely, they share one of my fav disney songs ever, hans does good things when people aren’t looking and defends elsa + anna BUT THEN SUDDENLY THE TROLLS FIND OUT ABT HIM AS HER FIANCÉ AND HES SUDDENLY EVIL SO KRISTOFF CAN SWOOP IN???? there is FOUL PLAY involved

thank you for listening <3 hated how this wasn’t the plot of frozen 2 we were all robbed out of hans’s redemption and the mass murder of the trolls
