Kwamibuster what-if and the soulmate AU where they always have to touch

Please and thank youuuuu 💕

In this soulmate AU, lovesquare's soulmark is that after first physical contact, they must always touch one way or another or else they'll be in excruciating, devastating pain (a contrast to my last soulmate AU oneshot where if they touched, they will be in pain, lol).

Ladynoir realise they were soulmates after their first meeting and both of them couldn't have been happier! Whilst Chat Noir would love for them to be in a romantic relationship with her and even know her identity, Ladybug insists that they keep it platonic (despite her growing romantic feelings for him) and keep their civilian lives a secret until they defeat Le Papillon.

However, this setup is already quite a struggle. It's hard enough that their magical suit covers up most of their bodies which leave very little exposed that allows them to have contact to alleviate the fatigue and aches (such as Chat Noir resting his head in Ladybug's neck or her pressing her cheek against his as they embrace); they both also find out that the further away they are from each other in terms of physical distance, the worse the pain gets.

Thankfully, she didn't come here without a plan of her own, hoping that what she's about to suggest next won't be as embarrassing (and heart-racing) as her brain made it out to be.

"I do have an idea to help us. It's a bit of a gamble...but I believe that if this works, we won't be forced to share our identities." She spoke after his laughter died down, her partner now observing her curiously in a manner that was so like his namesake. "I've noticed that when our faces touch, the pain is quicker to leave compared to when our heads touch or when we feel each other's hair against our face. So...so..." Ladybug was starting to lose her nerve, her complexion now reddening for a completely different reason. She silently cursed herself, hating the way that she can't be cool and professional about her proposal and how she felt so, so very Marinette right there and then.

Like the bumbling, stammering fool she often found herself turning into, especially when Adrien was involved.

But Adrien wasn't here right now! It's only Chat Noir! Her loyal, wonderful, amazing partner! Her soulmate! The person that she trusts her entire life and being with!

"Ladybug?" He tilted his head, golden hair following the movement and all that did was reignite her nerves and soothe her at the same time. A bundle of contradicting and familiar and foreign emotions that swam inside her frame. Not wanting to waste anymore of their precious time, she took a leap of faith and proceeded with her solution.

"I think we should press our mouths together! Just one quick press! That should hopefully slow down the pain that will come once we're apart, right???" Her voice cracked midway and her pitch was higher than a squealing kitten, much to her sheer fluster. Though, her partner only barely comprehended her words and was left in a bit of a stupor.

"You're not going home to rest?" Adrien finally asked after sitting at the side patiently (on the outside) when the nurse gave Marinette a check up. She smiled at him sweetly despite her exhausted features, unable to stop the bashful giggle that left her mouth. "I'll rest for an hour over here. I'm fine, Adrien." She then began to fiddle with the blanket and averted eye contact, unable to handle the intensity of his worried face. "You should go back to class. I know you love school and hate having to miss out so-" She was interrupted from the way he immediately clasped both of her hands with his larger pair, the boy now sitting by her side on the bed. She couldn't look away from him.

"You're more important to me than school, Marinette. You mean a lot to me. A lot." He squeezed her fingers as an emphasis, his forehead so close to brushing hers and her breath was simply taken away. "You've been worrying me a lot, lately. All of us are a little scared right now with what's been going on. Are you sure that the doctor didn't find anything at all when you asked about the constant nosebleeds and migraines you've been getting?"

Ah. Shit.

She hasn't been as good at hiding her current state from her friends as well as she hoped. And of course, the doctor wouldn't be able to find a solid cause for her symptoms.

After all, this is all because she wielded multiple miraculous all at once when she faced Kwamibuster a month ago.

And her tiny body couldn't handle the influx of all that magic at once, resulting into its present state.

But she can't tell Adrien that. She can't tell anyone at all. Absolutely not.

(And she refuses to let her Chaton know either...)

"I'll get better soon," She answered softly, trying her best to ignore the dwindling confidence in her words and hoping to cheer up her pauvre Adrien. He already had so much going on in his life that made him miserable, she refuses to add to his list of stresses and dampen his smile. "The doctors prescribed me with strong painkillers which work very well. I'll be back to normal in no lime- I mean time!" Much to her dismay, he didn't seem convinced at all and his eyes remained cloudy. This time he let his forehead rest against hers, her pulse fastening from the proximity and their hearts beating in sync.

Miraculous “Fertile Ashes” Au

Since the material for this Au will get more and more, I decided to make a main blog with a list of the post related to my Au Fertile Ashes, including basic info.

They will be put into chronological order, at least most of them (since some contains sketches set during different timeslots. 

Au Summary:  After the events of Weredad, Marinette and Chat Noir started seeing each other to nurture their friendship. Two years go by and many things change, for the better and for the worse; their relationship with each other as hero partners or classmates, their place in the world and their goals for the future.  As the cat hero and the pig-tailed civilian start a relationship, Shadow Moth becomes more ruthless and mad, causing devastation through Paris, which not even Ladybug’s magical cure can solve. Chaos expand, one mistake leads to another and in the attempt to relieve part of the anguish that haunts their hearts due to a traumatic accident, Marinette and Chat will find themselves in the role of way-too-soon-to-be parents. Certainly a mess, with a baby along the way at a too early age, while superheroing, trying to keep their partnership alive and saving the city from a raging conflict... and without knowing each other’ identities.   But sometimes, with the ashes lift from the fire of destruction, the ground can find new major fertility, and grow the richest of fruits.

Angst: there will be mention and figurative drawings of blood and injuries, without going too deep thought. There will be also mention of death (due to the victims of Shadow Moth attacks)

Emotional abuse, neglicence and terrorism: aka Gabriel Agreste’s full package.

Unplanned teenage pregnancy: I would like to make it clear that this theme being approached in the headcanon it's NOT to promote or incite teenage pregnancy at all, rather to just show these two character going through that situation while in a not ideal setting, unlike when their lives will be more stable as fully grown adults. I know years ago it was pretty more common, today however it isn't and while Mari and Chat will be eventually happy with their choice, they are aware that this happened due to a very irresponsible choice from their part. This will always be highlighted. The story wants to show how they manage things and still find a chance to be happy, turning a rash mistake into something beautiful.

Mentions of racism in family context: while it won’t be a main theme and it will be only briefly mentioned, this AU will mention Marinette’s grandfather Roland’s real motives to why he stopped seeing his son and family. In this case, the whole “bread” excuse used canonly is just a cover-up used by Marinette’s parents to not hurt their daughter and expose her to the truth of Roland not wanting to be involved with her chinese heritage. Gina divorced from Roland as he stopped talking to Tom, because he was and is closed minded and he wasn’t going to change opinion. And he won’t. As time passes, he again slips away, unable to fight and win against his foolish and cruel prejudice, losing contact again with the family.

Continuity reminders (Note: i use the terms “middle school” and “high school” to keep a better track, but keep in mind I’m referring instead to the French school system. For middle school I mean “Collège”, which lasts differently than other countries’ schools. High school refers to Lycée. Etc...):

When does it take place canon-wise? The story takes place two years after season 3, episode Weredad. The events after that episode didn’t happen (so, most of season 3 and everything going on, like S4 and S5 etc...) such as KwamiBuster, Chat Blanc or Miracle Queen. Felix exists, but won’t be included, if not in small part.

Is Marinette guardian? Yes, Marinette still became guardian and Master Fu is out of the picture but it didn’t happen with the whole Chloé fiasco.

Themes in common with season 4 and main changes. Marinette’s stress for becoming guardian is present and in this AU it really leads her to isolate herself and lose contact with most of her classmates after graduating middle school, the only exceptions being Adrien, Alya and Nino. Alya doesn’t know about Marinette’s alter ego. Ladybug and Chat Noir bond also weakens, but Ladybug doesn’t treat him as she did in season 4 and his feelings for her ceased slowly along the way. Most of the issues that lead to their friendship becoming fragile is caused by the already present lack of balance in their roles and partnership.

What about the main friend group? Alya is still Marinette’s best friend but she wasn’t told about Ladybug’s true identity, so they still hang out when they’re not too busy. Nino and Marinette don’t really engage a lot, they sometimes text each other and meet for a few moments due his relationship with Alya, but that is quite rare. As for Adrien, he and Marinette are classmates in the first year of high school and they finally manage to become closer friends, but eventually Gabriel obligates Adrien to skip a grade due to him being one year older than the average age for his classes, ending up in separating the two once again and lose contact for their busy schedules. Adrien still sees Nino sometimes, but the moment he gets more freedom is also the one when Shadow Moth starts creating chaos and Marinette gets pregnant, so it’s very difficult for the two boys to spend time together.

The gang’s ages. As mentioned before, Adrien is actually one year older than the rest of the gang. Looking better at the series and the premise, me and my project partner and friend made some calculations based also on the seasons and Adrien’s birthday being before of the New Year kind of confirms that he is indeed a year older than Marinette. This also means that he is one class behind. At the start of the main events Marinette is in second high school grade and is 16. The story covers her 17th and 18th birthday.  Adrien is 16 when the story starts but he is soon 17, having his birthday that Autumn, shortly after the beginnin of the new school year. Him being that age is also the reason Gabriel decided to have him making 2 years in one and skipping to third grade, so it wouldn’t look like he repeated a grade. The story covers his 18th birtdhay. This is all based on the fact that they should be in the last year of middle school in the series so they should be 14 at the start of the year (Marinette. And Adrien being 15 shortly after), they are respectively 15 and 16 around WereDad, before the time-skip.

Marinette and Chat Noir’s relationship evolution. Mari and Chat’s relationship progresses from WereDad, where they have an established friendship and they decide to explore it. He goes to visit her and sometimes they manage to sneak out and have some fun together, but the more time passes, the more they are obligated to limitate their encounters to her room, as outside it gets more dangerous and Chat Noir doesn’t want Shadow Moth to discover about his bond with Marinette. In those two years, while they didn’t reveal their identities, they find a pillar of comfort and security in each other, eventually falling in love and getting together. Marinette’s parents don’t know about their frequent encounters until a bit after their romantic relationship starts, when they tell them about it.

Is most of the story Marichat?  While there is a reveal planned for them eventually, 95% or so of the story is going to be full Marichat pre-reveal. Ladynoir’s friendship is fragile, Adrinette have lost most touch and Ladrien never really got anything (XD). It’s going to be a big Marichat meal, with appetizer, first course, second course and dessert.

The Miraculous AU, Miscellaneous Ideas

It’s the end of Miraculous Ladybug’s original five-season run, and my Miraculous Ladybug AU is coming to an end, too. I revised the ending of the last season because I felt it would be better to end things there. However, I still have some ideas that never made it into a specific season/special, and I’d like to share those here.

There were some villains I never got to put in, inspired by the show. I wanted to do something with Miraculer, Star Train, Kwamibuster, and Gamer 2.0.

I also wanted to feature an alternate timeline similar to Chat Blanc. I wasn’t sure what hero to feature going bad, however. I was thinking either Ladybug or Pavlin. My idea was the new timeline would grow from Mark deciding to announce his secret identity publicly.

In contrast to Pharaoh, I wanted to feature a Greek-inspired villain ala Maxie Zeus from Batman.

I also wanted to feature Cristina Vee as an Akumatized/Cursed person, since she’s Ladybug’s English voice actress.

I would have liked to do something with Jack's Egos, since I never used them. Cat-alyst is kind of based on Anti, but that's about it.

These next two ideas were inspired by Balan Wonderworld (remember that game?)

A girl who loves bugs, but was considered the class freak due to her passion scaring everyone else away. She wants to control Ladybug with her new powers.

An alternate version of Cybergirl: a lady who suddenly lost her parents, and is now too scared to love and thus wishes to no longer feel anything.

I wanted to do something similar to the plot of Season 5, with Miraculous magic mixing with technology.

I wanted to have a special placed in South Korea, with Mark visiting his family and running into a villain, similar to what happened to Marinette in the Shanghai special.

I wanted to do a multiverse plot to end things in a grander way, but I wasn’t sure how to make it work. This multiverse plot would’ve featured alternate versions of Mark that held different Miraculous, including Black Cat, Butterflier, Mouseiplier, White Rabbit, Yong, Horseiplier, Monkeyplier, Coqiplier, Barkiplier, and Piggiplier.

I also wanted to do a sideplot where Markiplier convinces Tikki to "cosplay" as Tiny Box Tim. (Actually wear a tiny box over her form with her arms and legs sticking out)

What better way to escape corrupted Miraculous holders other than using illusions? Marinette has a history of using the Fox Miraculous, she used it for Kwamibuster and made such a powerful illusion that it tricked both Chat Noir and Hawkmoth. So I figured she would totally use Trixx again to escape. But anyway as I said I have a whole list of kwami swaps to draw and this is one of the designs! I’m really proud of this design!

I know this might seem like overkill on how many Miraculouses Marinette will be using, but I made the corrupted Miraculous holders very powerful(because they are not Akuma’s they are dark gods) and technically she is the only person right now that can use all the Miraculouses since Fu is too old and Minibug/ MiniNoir are trapped. She is Paris’s last hope, it’s also supposed to help show off all the Miraculous powers as this is the night of reveals.

Plus I’m having fun designing these outfits.

Kwamibuster AU in which using multiple Miraculous is NOT casually handwaved, and it has unexpected consequences.

When Marinette wore many Miraculous the first time, she felt that the slight dizziness she had was worth the risk for the sake of executing her plan to save the city and the akumatised victim.

When her plan succeeded and she returned the Miraculous, after doing more Miraculous fusions, there was no side-effects she could feel, and ultimately, she and Fu shrugged at that.

If using multiple Miraculous had not harmed her, then maybe there is no huge threat from that, most likely. Maybe it was a myth.

Little did they know that somewhere close to the building the Akuma was fought, a sphere of colors was being materialized, growing, until it became large enough to fit a human.

The sphere, ever-changing in color, moved, as if sentient, as if it was searching for a safe place to hide in.

It found a good place inside an abandoned house, and stayed there.

Days passed, and weeks later, the sphere started cracking, like an egg.

A sound of shattering erupted, and what looked like a clawed tiger’s arm extended out of the crack.

A few more cracks later, an entire half of the sphere was broken, as the being now shown itself.

A figure looking like a mix of many animals, having multiple parts of their bodies.

A cat’s tail, a snake’s eyes, a fox’s whiskers, a monkey’s face, ears of a mouse, a chicken’s beak, a hide made of what seemed like a mystical dragon’s scales, and a huge set of ladybug’s wings on it’s back.

It has a chicken’s beak at the end of a red fox’s muzzle, a brown and tan monkey’s face with lighter grey mouse ears, and two small grey goats horn’s. There is a ladybug’s shell on its back, its front legs are those of a tiger, it has a dark red belly, and the hind legs are those of a brown rabbit. It has a long black tail of a cat, and a shorter brown tail of an ox.

The being looked around, realising it was alone, with barely any memory except of what it was:

A being born from the excess energy created by Marinette, using fusions multiple times in a row, and using more than a dozen Miraculous at the same time.

Normally, the energy made from fusion will be too little to do any real effect, and will just dissipate into the world, but this wasn’t the norm.

Fusing Miraculous many times in a short period caused the energy to exceed the limit of what can be naturally fixed, and the energy became denser, absorbing a tiny amount  of the power around, creating the previously colorful sphere.

And now, creating a sentient being as well.

“Ma… Ri… Ne… Tte…”

With an unearthly voice, it spoke, as an image of a gentle blue-haired figure appeared in it’s mind, one of the things it caused the being to spread it’s wings, and flying in the sky, as instincts guided it.

And it moved, taking a straight direction towards what it felt to be this “Marinette’s” home.

“Mari… Nette… My… Family…”

By the way, Rjalker, I am genuinely curious, so sorry for inconvenience, but can you tell me if you might write this “the unnamed entity” idea of yours? And thank you.

Miraculous Tikki AU

(Story part 2)

Tikki and Chat Noir still loose their Kwamis but they hide and regroup

They both meet up a Fu's and are each offered a Miraculous

Aiden considers the Fox but then he has an idea

"Is it possible to use the Mouse's Multiply on the Horse?"-AH

Fu then tells the two about Unification

Aiden uses the Mouse and Horse unified as Mulalki

Adrien picks the Bee and Aiden gets him to hold the Fox (for Trixx only)

Mulalki uses Multitude to hide in Trixx, then he gets captured by the Akuma

Jaune Bee, Adrien, uses Venom on Kwamibuster

Mulalki then uses Voyage to get the Kwamis out

Then Jaune Bee renounces Trixx and Unifys with Plagg, becoming Jaune Chat

Mulalki, after undoing Multitude, divides Mullo and Unifys with Tikki, Kalikki

Jaune Chat then uses Cataclysm on the Akumatized item and Kalikki purifys the Akuma

Aiden and Adrien meet back at Fu's and they both collapse on his floor in exhaustion, Aiden passes out

Post-Kwamibuster, Aiden gives Adrien the nickname Bea

After Adrien is glittered, Plagg goes to find Aiden who isn't at the show

Tikki plans to let Plagg use Cataclysm, but is discouraged by Fu

He chooses to get a Temp for the Bee instead

He still chooses Alya, but fails and drops the Miraculous

Tikki's Lucky Charm is still glue

He destracts Style Queen with a glue covered Yo-Yo while Plagg Cataclysms the force field around Adrien and brakes the Rose

He spends awhile trying the find the missing Miraculous after the battle, only to think it was taking back with Miraculous Cure

In Reflector Doll, Aiden still has his Miraculous and looks after Plagg and the Ring for Adrien

Instead of Chat Noir, Tikki would be Akumatized into Sculptor with the power to turn people and creatures into porcelain dolls

Sculptor just wants to fix everything by making it 'perfect' and peaceful like a Dollhouse

Bunnix has to get Adrien to borrow the Ladybug Miraculous

Adrien borrows it from Aiden, but gives him Plagg so he isn't lonely

Mister Bug first trys to reason with Sculptor, but ends up fighting when trying to find the item

Sculptor instinctively puppets his Alix as a blockade

After awhile, Mister Bug finds out they're Tikki/Aiden

:

During an unknown showdown against Hawkmoth, Hawkmoth doesn't know Chat Noir's identity, so he goes for Tikki after remembering his insecurity of being a burden

The Akuma sneaks up on him and into Tikki's Earrings

"TKKI!"-CN

Tikki would grunt whilst covering his ears

Hawkmoth says about helping him create a perfect world without heroes and villains, a world where everyone is safe

Tikki struggles for a bit, but falls to his knees as his will slips away into Akumitization

Hawkmoth and Chat Noir both try to convince him to help their side and 'do the right thing'

He struggles with both urges to do what 'feels right' as moral and influenced

He ends up getting over whelmed and clenches fists at his side which build up with white energy

He ends up yelling "SHUT UP!" and juts his hands out in each of their directions

It turns both Hawkmoth and Chat Noir into life sized Porcelain Dolls

After awhile, he accidentally bumps into Natalie, turning her into one as well

After a freak out and some bordem, he ends up realizing he can pose them

He decides to remove their Miraculouses to rid them of their duty

After processing Gabriel Agreste, he poses them all into a loving family in the house

He decides to give into his Akuma urge and proceeds to 'perfect' all of Paris into a peaceful landscape

He stashes away the Miracle Box, with the Black Cat and Butterfly inside, after turning Fu and Wayzz into Porcelain Dolls

He eventually finds Emilie and adds her to the Agreste family

It still causes the paradox, as Sculptor managed to get his Alix as well

After hearing Sculptor talk about wanting to prevent other Heroes and Villains by hiding the Miraculouses, Mister Bug realizes that he needs a Cataclysm to destroy the item, and heads off to find the stashed away Miracle Box

Mister Bug searches for the Miracle Box and after finding it, he is surprised to find the Butterfly Miraculous and uses it to relinquish Sculptor's Akuma

Mister Bug is then brought back to the present, resulting is a loop from finding out Hawkmoth's hideout
